• Kornélie (5/5): We were really looking forward for our stay, but were disappointed. - The hotel is close to the beach and has two good parking lots, there is a beautiful garden and comfy bed. Nothing in this villa makes sense, there was only 2 shallow shelfs for three people, 1 from this 2 instantly fell. They promised us it will be repaired until we came back in the evening, it wasn’t. We couldn’t unpack our luggages and moving around the small room was ineffective. They made the shelf after urging them multiple times and an argument the next day with excuses. There was no table and chairs, but these were provided quickly. The sink was so small with no space around and there were no cabinets. In the restaurant you need to ask for everything even for salt, pepper, scissors for jam, which you can’t open it without them.

• Kris (9/5): - This villa was fantastic. Very clean and comfortable. The convenience of the restaurant was appreciated. Walking the grounds was beautiful and relaxing. Following the directions after dark was a bit difficult.

The grounds are lovely and make the hotel a nice place to stay. There are small villa cottages and they would be good to book. Rooms are basic but for the price, the grounds, pool area and little restaurant make up for it. The hotel rooms were BASIC. 2 beds, a frig, nightstand and lamp. Outdated bathrooms with no vanity. Clean but without any additional features for comfort. Luggage had to stay on the floor although there was a rod to hang things. We used the top of the fridge for a surface to put things. That said, it was clean and comfortable with a great shower. All in all it was a pleasant place to stay for a couple of nights.

• Netty (8/5): Prima hotel met goede ligging. - Prima hotel met goede ligging, super dicht bij het strand. Eten is prima. Ontbijt zou wat uitgebreider mogen zijn. De bedden zijn erg hard.
• Desiree (9/5): - The Junior Suite was super clean, very spacious and located in a beautiful garden. For breakfast (included) there are three options to choose from. The hotel is very well located, just a few minutes' walk from the Playa Hermosa beach, and there is quite a choice of restaurants on walking distance. All in all, I had a great stay and will definitely book again if I will be in the area again. Nothing.
• Yulia Haza (6/5): 6 out of 10 property. Not worth overpaying for holidays or New Years. - Location close to the beach and its peaceful resort feeling. It has balcony and the property well taken care of. Food at the restaurant was aweful and breakfast wasn't good literally tasteless. For the value by being way overcharged for NY it doesn't justify it. The shower hose half broken. Toilet and sink are half working as there are major plumbing issues. No holders to hang clothes, minimal toiltries.

The young lady who helped us was very very sweet and tried her best but her superiors whom she had to call were not at all helpful and would not talk with us

The economy room we initially reserved was very depressing. They should not rent these rooms at all. We had to pay extra to get an upgrade.

• Marion (3/5): - Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier leider überhaupt nicht. Viel zu teuer für ein kleines, abgewohntes, ungemütliches Zimmer ohne Ausblick. Die Toilettenspülung funktionierte trotz Reparatur nicht. Für das gleiche Geld hatten wir ganze Häuser mit top Ausstattung während unserer Costa Rica Reise. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Strand war ebenfalls nicht einladend, aber das ist Geschmackssache.

• Eischeid (5/5): Passable - This hotel is located a couple of minutes away from the beach. Also, the property has good security, and the staff promptly addressed any issues we had. There were blood stains and hair on the bedsheets. Also, there was a lizard in the shower, and the room started to smell because a skunk was in the area.

It smelled like marijuana outside our room in the back of the property. They offered complimentary breakfast which was outstanding. However, it was often cold and it was the same thing everyday.

It's clean but you can see it's already a bit worn down. The rooms are dark, the window is the balcony door if fully opened. It's a bit pricey. The location is close to the beach, but there is not much else in the pueblo.

The people who work in the restaurant are especially friendly. I had difficulty parking the rental car in the space available. It was very tight. Also the smell in the room from cleaning was very strong and unpleasant. The room has no screens or fresh air so I had to prop the door open for a while.

• De (7/5): A good experience overall, the bath and the rooms need some TLC - I liked the layout of the Villa both inside and out. The greenery, landscaping, plants, flowers, the pool etc were amazing. Overall the ambience was great. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The burgers at the restaurant were awesome. Loved the kitchen with a full size refrigerator. I enjoyed sitting in the little beautiful verandah with a ceiling fan . A very short walk to the beach. The rooms are dated, especially the bathrooms. The tiles are stained and we had to switch rooms because the shower wouldn't drain and toilet flush wouldn't stop running. Even the AC at the lowest temp wouldn't cool the little room. The staff immediately put us into a similar Villa and everything worked. The prices in general seemed a little high $153/night and it wasn't even busy or peak season. It wouldn't have been a pleasant experience if they were busy and we couldn't switch rooms. Would've stayed several days if it weren't for the price.
• Shannon (8/5): Very good - Having breakfast included was a very nice option. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I was travelling alone and this was a last minute booking as my original flight home was cancelled. The room was nothing fancy and could use a good deep clean but it was fine for what I needed which was pretty much a place to sleep. My first morning I had a knock at my door very early to move my car because I was blocking someone so just be mindful if you need to park there.

• Nick (3/5): Poor - The gardener was awesome! And one of the front desk staff was really friendly. The room I booked based on the pictures was NOT what we were given and we had to pay $260 USD for an upgrade to a room that could accommodate my husband's disability. We are very unhappy about this. The manager was not accommodating nor willing to negotiate at all. The breakfasts were awful. The pool area was not cleaned. We had to ask to have our room made up 2/6 days we were there. All in all we cannot recommend this hotel.
• Abby (8/5): Very good - Villa Acacia in Playa Hermosa couldn't be in a better location, short of being right on the beach - it's a short 1-2 minute walk down the street, and then you're right on the beach! A handful of very good restaurants are nearby as well (I recommend Restaurante Al Paso), and a little supermarket for snacks and drinks. The hotel area is very beautiful, lots of trees and foliage, and is very well maintained. The pool is great! Good pool, with lots of nice seating around it. Breakfast is very nice with multiple options. Staff were helpful, and very polite. The less pricey rooms are definitely less pricey for a reason - bathrooms could be updated (or even just deep-cleaned, to be honest - it wasn't dirty, per se, just all the edges could use a clean sometime), the road that the back rooms look onto is pretty loud (work trucks driving by, the gate to the parking lot opening and closing at all hours, etc). Not a bad room, by any means, just keep in mind that the beautiful villas and whatnot in the photos are a different part of the hotel, haha. Finally - if you have any questions for the hotel - make sure they get back to you before you arrive! I had two hotels lined up during my stay in Costa Rica, and I asked both of them if they needed to know ahead of time if I had a friend that would be joining me (as she wasn't sure she could until the last minute), and if there would be an additional charge. The first hotel replied and said, no problem, no charge. Villa Acacia didn't get back to me at all, one way or another, which I didn't realize until they charged us extra when we arrived. Obviously, I should have made sure I got a response from them, however, they also should have ensured that they responded to me - and the miscommunication ended in a bit of a financial surprise.
• Gerald (10/5): Highly recommended. Only downside is that is not directly on the beach, but is just one block away. - Breakfast was great. The property was extremely well groomed and landscaped. Small problem with the wi fi was immediately resolved. Family run business with clients' needs always priority. Spectacular garden setting throughout the property, and nice swimming pool. We had stayed there 10 years prior, and were not disappointed when we returned. The individual villas have octagonal design, with incredible craftsmanship, especially the interior wood structural features. Not a single thing.

• Sun (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff, closeness to the beach. 1. The hot shower is poor due to the 220v showerhead. You have to reduce the water flow to SLOW in order to get the shower to get hot enough. 2. Mattress is the old style you hear the springs when you lay down and rotate 3. Bed bugs - 6 of us were on vacation with three rooms. We all experience bug bites during our stays. When I explained to the receptionist about the bed bugs, he wasn't aware of what the bugs are. We literally had to spray with our mosquito bug spray to reduce the bed bug bites.

The hotel was okay but my wife needed to have hot water in the sink for washing up but the hot water faucet didn’t work there. Also, the tv picture was terrible and the screen was small.
