Guest Reviews
- Brian (10/5): Bruce was very welcoming and had great communication. Our room was beautiful and spotless. Location was close to downtow - Location was excellent, close to downtown and the water. Room was beautiful and spotless Nothing
- Tara (8/5): - The mattress cover was very heavy feeling and to hot to sleep with.
- Neil (7/5): Nice room, clean, good bed, but isolated and without breakfast. I would not stay there again. - The room was charming, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very good instructions were provided for access to the room. The room was isolated from the rest of the house, with key entry to a single room accessed from the back of the house. NO entry was allowed for any other part of the house, library, dining area, etc. Also, it is false advertising to call yourself a Bed and Breakfast without clearly stating in the booking the the facility does not provide breakfast. A coffee machine was provided but was expected to be used for both tea and coffee. As nice as the host was to talk with, it is clear that his intention is to make money with minimal contact and the aggravation of feeding is guests a breakfast All fair, but the advertising should reflect this intention.
- MJ (8/5): - Quiet location with character A microwave would be a great addition
- Victoria (10/5): -
- William (10/5): - Location is just a few min walk from downtown, the garden is amazing, the decor of the interior was just as nice. The amenities were thoughtful and the host was very helpful in all regards. This will be the only spot we stay at at Niagara on the Lake!
- Charlene (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Short walk to downtown. Safe surroundings - Very quiet and lovely room and surroundings Not a thing
- Montgomery (10/5): We were very impressed with everything! - The location was so close to everything and parking was right out front which was convenient. The room was charming and had a nice supply of towels, toiletries, etc. Host was very friendly and accommodating! My only 2 small suggestions would be to have a little mat inside for guests to put wet boots during winter, and to perhaps have some powdered cream for coffee (there was only sugar). But overall, everything was amazing!!
- Beverly (9/5): Great location and good bang for your buck - Room was cute and cozy
- Karen (8/5): -
- Joyce (10/5): The garden environment and quiet with accessible location to festival, restaurants, and park great attributes. - The garden was absolutely amazing. Our room was on the veranda, and we spent much time in comfortable chairs just enjoying the atmosphere. At just a block from lake, we could easily access walking or biking trails. Bruce was a warm and generous host. Easy to walk up the hill to downtown. Accessible to restaurants and the Shaw Festival. We bought a box of tissues, a minor point.

- Walter (10/5): Exceptional - There was no breakfast but the room was very comfortable, impeccably furnished- with everything you could want- a refrigerator, coffee maker etc. The location could not have been better- walking distance to the Shaw Festival theaters and all restaurants. My wife and I like to bike and the bike trail along Lake Ontario was just a block away. Bruce was very courteous and helpful. All in all this was simply perfect!

- Diane (10/5): A Tranquil Oasis - This hotel was situated some distance from the center of the town and required an uphill walk which was difficult for my husband. However for anyone who is fit and active it was in a beautiful position. A short walk from the river with fabulous and interesting views. For those able to walk into town there were several routes, all of which were a delight.
A tranquil oasis with beautiful relaxing deck and garden. The uphill walk to town restricted my husbands enjoyment but we should have done more extensive research on the hotel's position.
- Giovanna (8/5): Great little cozy place! - This was such a charming and quaint BnB!!!
The room was tastefully decorated in vintage old charm with big mouldings and antique furniture. We could have done without the ducks. Plenty of towels and anything else you may need. The bed mattress was not super comfy but I’m a lousy sleeper. Hubby slept well and didn’t have any issues.
Bruce the host was so kind. He was always offering up great suggestions and made us feel totally comfortable. I usually plan out our entire trip after much research, but due to a stressful month prior, I had no time at all so Bruce’s suggestions really helped. We will definitely revisit…. I’ll just bring my own pillow. Pillows were mushy
- Brett (10/5): Great location, very nice owner. and a lovely place to stay! - Great location, very nice owner. and a lovely place to stay!
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - The room was beautifully decorated and looked out to a charming formal garden. Two small items. I couldn't find where to turn on the overhead lights in the main room, and there was no box of tissues. As I said, two small items which would have made my stay absolutely perfect!
- Susan (10/5): This is a very pleasant garden setting within walking distance to the scenic water. - We enjoyed the peaceful garden surroundings within walking distance to the water. The owner Bruce was very helpful in finding great places to dine.
- Virginia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cramer (10/5): Exceptional - Very walkable to the entire town but also secluded and quiet.
- Jim (9/5): Comfortable and convenient. A nice home-base for walkable forays around the town. - The room was spacious with tasteful retro furnishings, comfortable king bed and sofa. All the necessary amenities were on hand and working (no microwave, though). Large back garden and porch were at our disposal and we spent some time there enjoying conversation, snacks and viewing the well maintained plants and flowers.
A short walk away we enjoyed dinner at Tiara (Queen's Landing), a play at the Royal George, afternoon tea at the Prince of Wales, as well as shopping and sightseeing. The waterfront (Niagara River) is also a few minutes walk from the accommodation.
Other sights and activities were easily reachable by car.
Proprietor Bruce was friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay. No complaints.
- Stephanie (8/5): Enjoyable visit, delivered what it said in the listing. - Location was within walking distance to the centre. Easy driving distance to a number of wineries and Niagra Falls. Host was really approachable and helpful. if you wanted to be picky, less furniture to allow more room in the living area would have been desired. Also a separate kettle for tea drinks would have been nice. Experience overall was good.
- Zahrir (9/5): Superb -
- Salla (10/5): A real gem! - Luxurious haven with a huge, comfy bed; lovely sitting area with a real fireplace; great bathroom; secluded patio towards a fabulously beautiful garden. Very quiet yet within a 10-minute walk to the town center. Charming host Bruce.

Bruce and Andrew were amazing hosts, very kind and generous. They helped us with any info about the area, restaurants, and wineries. The place is so quaint and homey. Very comfortable and very clean. The location was amazing, just a few minutes walk to the center of town and a few steps away from a little beach. We could not have found a better place.
