The B&B was very eclectic with authentic decorating throughout. The shower was terrific and the outside areas to sit and relax with a tea or wine were delightful. The B&B was a bit too far out of the town.

The accommodations had all you need for a cosy, comfortable stay. We also really appreciated the automatic coffee machine to get us up & going. Liam & Susie are great hosts & Liam provided us a local map with recommendations for sightseeing & dining. We thought the garden needed a trim but that’s being picky

• Carol (10/5): Highlight of our Sapphire Coast road trip. - We loved everything about this property. Liam and Susie were so welcoming. From the Cream tea on arrival to the beautiful tasty breakfast. Ivy May Cottage was so quaint and cosy. Everything you need and more. Close proximity to the lovely town center. Lakes Entrance was one of the highlights of our Sapphire Coast Road trip. We would definitely recommend this property. What a gem. Everything was perfect.
• Yasemin (10/5): Fantastic hosts in an amazing setting with True Blue Australian hospitality. - From the warm welcome by Liam and Susie to the amazing style of their home which I can only describe as Old World Australiana. Everything was perfection for us. We loved our overnight stay and will definitely return if the opportunity for us arises. The breakfast cooked by Susie, rivals anything that you could possibly get at a cafe or restaurant. Liam was very helpful with information about the local area which is also absolutely stunning. Being greeted with freshly home baked scones and muffins is another level of hospitality, definitely not experienced in your usual hotel accommodation. Both Liam and Susie just go above and beyond with every detail of your stay. We loved everything.

• Jason (10/5): Amazing - The most delightful accommodation experience from magnificent hosts. Book it now, you will not be disappointed. From the fresh scones on arrival, to the decor and facilities, the extremely comfy bed, the awesome coffee machine and tea selection, and the most delicious breakfast ever! Liam and Susie have created a beautiful accomodation experience that is nothing short of amazing. Sitting on the outside deck and the lovely garden, breakfast at the inside sitting area, the fully - and I mean fully - appointed kitchenette, the extremely comfy double bed, and very nice en suite bathroom. Liam and Susie are both amazing hosts oozing with warmth and friendliness, and that feeling of no request or providing of local information/tips is too much. When Liam asks you what your breakfast selection would like to be, your mouth is already watering and you just know you won't want to eat for the rest of the day. I would/will travel to Lakes Entrance again just to stay at Liam and Susie's Ivy May Cottage, the experience is exquisite. Nothing, nada, zilch.

We were welcomed with home-baked scones and cream which we enjoyed on the deck. The bedroom was gorgeous and the beds were very comfortable. We had a fantastic night's sleep and we were then treated to an amazing breakfast in the morning. I enjoyed the continental and my husband the full cooked... both were plentiful and delicious. Our hosts were fantastic and provided everything that we needed, including great information on places to visit. We were treated to freshly made scones on our arrival, which we had relaxing on the beautiful verandah and our breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend this tranquil, cozy and fabulous accommodation.

The front verandah overlooks a very pretty garden, the house is incredibly clean, charming, and historic, and Suzie’s scones were the lightest I’ve ever tasted! Suzie and Liam are the perfect hosts and happy to share not only the history of the cottage but where to go and what to see around Lakes Entrance. Our stay was too short!

After a long day on our motorbike we arrived and Liam was at the front gate waiting to open it so we could ride straight into their property! We then walked in to meet Susie and the amazing smell of baking 😋 scones, jam and fresh whipped cream (best scones ever) and….. just cooked cookies! After showing us our room, kitchen and lounge area which was delightful with old world charm, Liam offered to take me to the shops in his car so we didn’t have to get back on the bike, now that’s service 👍 Liam then took our order for breakfast….. Bacon, eggs(cooked to perfection) mushrooms, tomatoes,chippolates and sour dough toast 😋 pot of tea and coffee. I thought this would be extra as bed and breakfast is usually a continental breakfast? Susie wouldn’t accept extra money for this as I thought this would be extra and happy to pay 🙏 we had the best sleep in the ever so comfortable bed, all refreshed for another day on the bike! Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts Liam and Susie, you truly made our stay something special 🙏🙏🙏 we would definitely stay here again only next time longer ♥️
• Carol (10/5): Ivy May Cottage is a haven, an ideal home from home. - How wonderful to find this traditional B&B, located on a hill above Lakes Entrance. The cosy cottage is surrounded by a wide verandah, perfect for relaxing in the evening. Liam and Susie run the place with such care and attention to detail that we felt thoroughly spoilt. Separate from the hosts' living area, we had a bedroom, ensuite, small lounge.dining room and kitchenette. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and free of grease. Or you had a choice of healthy cereals and muesli, bread and jams. Nothing springs to mind.

There was nothing we didn't like about this BnB including seating on a lovely deck and a gorgeous cottage garden.

Our hosts, Suzie and Liam were so welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. There were so many small details catered for. Breakfast was really good as were the homemade scones to welcome us. The property itself is a delightful tranquil cottage with space to sit in the peaceful garden and watch the evening fall. • Paris (10/5): Simply wonderful. - Ivy May is a unique , idyllic home which has decor and furnishings which are exquisite. Liam & Susie are wonderful hosts; welcoming, friendly and kind to a fault. Home made scones for afternoon tea and the breakfast were both delicious. We cannot recommend this gem of a B&B highly enough. It's impossible to improve on perfection!
• Penny (10/5): Exquisite Cottage Stay - This exquisite little B&B is simply wonderful. If you like an old fashioned experience, like I do, you will love this place. When I arrived, Susie made me feel very welcome, and once I had settled in, served me a Devonshire Tea with home made scones ( very yummy scones btw)with real cream and jam on the front deck, with tea served from a beautiful teapot in a pretty bone china cup and saucer! Absolutely fabulous. The bedroom was spacious, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom clean and tastefully renovated. There was also a small kitchenette and dining area, generously fitted out and supplied with all that would need. Susie is very generous, with a friendly open demeanour. The place is fabulously decorated, very clean with everything you could want for a relaxed and comfortable stay. I like the location - very quiet at night. This is an excellent place for a solo traveller, but it would suit a couple equally as well.

In the stay we had homemade breakfast included which was better than most hotels we have stayed in past few weeks in Australia. She even brought out extra blankets and cushions for our 5 month old baby when we were having breakfast so he could play on the floor next to us. Would recommend! It was a beautiful room, but a tiny bit cramped with a travel cot and all the baby kit we had to bring along.

We've been to over 10 countries and they are literally the most warming and thoughtful. They provided us several attractions to explore. The house is beyond our expectations. It's so lovely, clean and full of beautiful collections. Moreover, the house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and good nature. It's basically my dream house. Susie and Liam treated us like one of their families and let us feel spoiled and loved <3 The room and private bathroom are clean and lovely. Besides, the leisure room equipped with decent kitchen is warm and relaxing. Susie is also a fantastic chef, the handmade biscuits and scones are terrific. Not to mention the wonderful breakfast, everything is so tasty and suitable to our preference of meal. It's so sad that we only stayed there for 1 night, can't wait to go back and meet them! We had a lovely fry up for breakfast on the first morning and some great blueberry pancakes for breakfast on the second morning. Liam had great insight to all the local spots and the best places to visit while in Lakes Entrance, and in particular the location was perfect as we were so close to everything we needed. Susie was so warm and took great pride in her cooking which was a very special touch. The cottage in particular was so well designed and included beautiful antiques all around. Susie and Liam's dog Molly was just beautiful, we will definitely be back!

You will have Liam and Susie's full attention and will be spoilt with so much delicious food you won't need lunch! You are set up with a private room with an ensuite at the front of the house, and down the hall there is a kitchen/dining area for guest use, with the rest of the house belonging to the host. The room was comfortable and the decor was well matched. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Great bed and breakfast stay! Nothing really, it was all great! Perhaps it just was the time of year but a few small bugs came into the room, so be mindful if you like to sleep with the window open.
