• Bálint (9/5): Spacious Apartment Downtown - The facility itself is a good value for money. The apartment I booked was spacious and comfortable; housekeeping did a great job every day. I particularly appreciated the complimentary items in the kitchen. Though location is central, it is not the most optimal for safety or proximity to sights. I did not feel safe walking in the immediate surroundings of the hotel since the downtown area seems quite troubled and rundown.
• Rashmi (9/5): - I liked the set up of the room and the inbuilt appliances, the ease of operating, check-in and check-out standards, and the cleanliness in the rooms. I think this stay is value for money and is very peaceful to be here. I pretty much had everything I needed, in fact more than what I needed during my stay. They had staff who were there to clean up the room and change towels everyday without you having to ask them, which is what I loved the most about this place. I look forward to staying here again when I get back to LA. Thank you so much for your services, Sonder team! I liked everything! But sleeping here was difficult because of the noisy Downton in LA at night. There is not much that the hotel can do for remediating it. That's why I think it was a very good stay overall.

Algunas luces no se apagaban nunca (armario) lo que unido a los ruidos, la altura de la habitación (2) y la inexistente insonorización hicieron que no pudiéramos dormir ninguna noche bien

• Alonzo (8/5): The apartment is great for two couples staying a week - road noise is tough if over a weekend - LOVED our accommodations!! Everything was just perfect - absolutely no complaints. High ceilings, windows / lighting / awesome staff! The ONLY drawback was all the noise. we were there are on a Saturday night and I only got 4 hours of sleep due to the road noise. 5th floor. cars peeling out, people yelling, sirens, fire trucks - you name it. Earplugs helped a little but man, I have never stayed somewhere that was so loud!!

The entrance of the property was complicated, It wasn’t matching up to the google maps directions. Also the open ceiling was a little off thing for me.

• Julian (10/5): Do not believe the reviews that it is noisy in the area. Best value for money. - I like the interior and the functionality of the things in the room. The dishwasher / laundry was easy to operate. The bathroom was simple yet perfect. No lobby. No washroom in the lobby.
• Julie (3/5): They tried - It was conveniently located. It was really convenient to be able to get room supplies (tea, coffee, etc.). Basically, the staff tried. The mattress was slanted, both ways (i.e., down toward the margins). The neighborhood was crappy. The clothing detergent reeked. It’s all concrete, so we had to turn on the heat. It really wasn’t Craftsman style, except the lobby. There was only one washcloth. There weren’t enough hooks in the bathroom. And, there was no safe, so we had to carry all of our valuables.

First is the location, very convenient and near to everything we go in DTLA. Second is for accommodating and friendly staff. And lastly, the room itself. Very clean, modern and fresh.

• Tiana (8/5): Gorgeous loft in DTLA - Gorgeous, giant, comfortable bed! Super clean and new rooms. Loved not having a swipe card! Having your own laundry facilities is always a plus! So spacious! Reception was confusing. I thought it was self check in but there was an actual reception. DTLA isnt for the faint hearted, but I like it because the community are real, vibrant and full of personality.

• JeffS758 (10/5): Not an easy review to write but please read - The foyer is pretty basic with limited space. I was quite concerned as it didn’t look very nice at all. It was 11am and check in wasn’t till 4pm which we knew, so they stored our bags for us. After walking around Downtown LA with my mate we were quite worried about staying there. Homelessness & zombie humans everywhere. The streets all smell of urine mixed with marijuana & faeces. But wait….. that’s not the fault of the hotel! So at 4pm we checked in. Opened the door and WOW!! This is where things changed. The 2 bedroom apartment was so spacious, spotless and homely. We were both blown away. It was 5 times better than the place we’d just left in Vegas! I raced over the road and got some beers and snacks, had a shower, threw clothes in the washing machine and sat back to relax. It was so peaceful and the aircon was cold. We had several really big days/nights in LA and this was our sanctuary to come back to each day. I would not race back to Downtown LA (the ICE riots were happening) but if I was in town this would be my choice of hotels. Absolutely loved it. I think a lot of reviews are based totally on the area alone 😬

Personnel and friendly and helpful as well. Check-in is at 16:00 only, it’s very late. Location overall in downtown LA is noisy and streets are filthy, but it’s not the fault of the apartments.

The flow of the layout is seamless, intuitive, and calming, like the space was designed to breathe with you. Clean lines, natural textures, curated art, and soft lighting all work in harmony to create an environment that feels both inspiring and grounding. There is a sense of intentional stillness in the air, like the house itself is holding space for you to relax, reflect, and recharge. The room was fully stocked and equipped beyond my expectations. We are talking everything: a truly full kitchen with quality appliances, cookware, and utensils including sharp knives and a proper coffee setup, making it easy to cook, host, or unwind with a glass of wine. The bed is utterly divine. It felt like sleeping in a cloud wrapped in luxury linens. The furniture was modern yet inviting, clearly custom crafted or hand selected with purpose. Every chair, table, and surface felt like it belonged not just functionally, but artistically. There is also a secure safe in the room, which added an extra layer of comfort and peace of mind, especially for longer stays. The little things really add up here: plush towels, thoughtful lighting, smart storage, even the scent of the space, it is all perfectly tuned to make you feel at home and spoiled at the same time. And the best part is it does not feel pretentious or overdone. It feels real. You can tell the people behind Sonder the Craftsman genuinely care about their guests, their craft, and the experience they are creating. This is not just a business. It is a labor of love. Whether you are traveling for work, taking a solo retreat, escaping the chaos for a weekend, or simply craving inspiration, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. • Griffin (6/5): - The room and hotel itself was very nice. Only complaint about the room was that they randomly stopped cleaning our room half way through our trip. The rooms are very modern and clean, and they even have a washer/dryer. The area around the hotel is very sketchy. When walking to the entrance someone literally threw a crack pipe at us. There is also no parking for the hotel. There is a public lot behind it but it is $30 each night and you are not guaranteed a spot. It is also not sound proofed. I could hear every time the people above us moved the furniture.

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit:) Auf der Straße vor dem Hotel war es nachts sehr laut. Die Umgebung war tagsüber in Ordnung, nachts hingegen würde ich nicht auf die Straße gehen.
