• Vincent (10/5): Best place for our family of 5 trip in Japan (out of 5 places we stated) - Merbabu was very modern and clean. We stay in a double room and a triple room which provided plenty of spaces for our family of 5. We were on the same floor so connecting with our kids was super convenient while we could still enjoy our private time together. Staff cleaned, prepared our rooms with fresh amenities every single day which is quite rare these days. Both of our rooms have a washer and a drying functioned bath room fan that wiuld dry our clothes when we were sleeping or out exploring, just need to soap which can be found easily at a convenient store close by for a few $.This is quite a plus since we had a few days of rain during our stay in late December, it saved our precious time and trouble finding a laundrymat. Overall we were glad we found this accomation and we appreciate details that the owner has provided for a wonderful stay. I wish the instructions of checking in was provided ahead of time. We were a little struggling w.how to register or name, take pictures of our passports and doing the same for the second room. The hotel was on a business district so there was not a lot of restaurants available and some time they closed early or over the weekend probably due to not a lot of customers in off business hours.

• Janice (7/5): - Clean & comfortable. Close to facilities We booked hotel for kitchen & washing facilities but were unable to use either. No utensils, cutlery or kitchen or laundry items at all. We come from overseas so a little hard to bring with us.

Some basic cutlery, plates and cups would be helpful. Air conditioning in the bedroom of room 902 was incredibly annoying and made sleeping difficult, even when turned off it kept dripping. Please check to service and fix for future guests.

• John (10/5): - This is a luxury stay in a nice neighborhood. Although it’s not in the center of the most popular spots, it’s nice to get away and be more local. Our favorite bar and restaurant in our two week Japan trip were a result of staying at Merbabu. Some of the functions of the lighting and tub were difficult because the instructions were not clear, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The location was perfect for us 30 min walk to castle and 30 min walk to main tourist hub. Excellent value for money. The technology was a little confusing but still pretty cool !!!

• Lorenz (9/5): Great value for money at a convenient location. - I liked the automated facilities. Just about all your needs are addressed with no fuss. The bed mattress was a bit hard for me, personally. My other family members do not share that opinion and found it comfortable.

It would have been nice if there were dishes or pots/pans to actually use the provided stove and microwave. Also, the light sensors were really annoying because of how sensitive they were. Just turning in your bed would cause the lights to turn on. Otherwise, the room was comfortable.

The room is very high tech, which is cool, but better instructions on how to use the washing machine and the bathtub would have been helpful. Also, the motion light in the hallway is pretty obnoxious at night for the others that are sleeping.

• Samuel (10/5): - The property is in modern design and has almost everything we needed. The property manager is very helpful. Only one thing I would like to bring out was the slippers. It is not suitable wearing in the bathroom. My wife fell down one time in the bathroom as the slippers are very slippery. Overall, we like the hotel and will stay again if we visit Osaka next time. Highly recommend this hotel.

• Mikar (8/5): Very good - The hotel was located at a business district. It was quiet and had a lot of convenient stores nearby. It was within walking distance to the subway station which was nice. There's an elevator and luggage storage in the lobby. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Bed sheets/towels were changed and toiletries were replenished daily. There was a washer and hangers were provided to allow clothes to dry in the shower. Toiletries and instant coffee/tea were provided. There was mini fridge, microwave, and small table with two chairs to sit and eat. The hotel does not have a reception desk or receptionist which made it difficult to have our luggage delivered from another hotel. We had to check-in using one of their computers located on-site upon arrival but the instructions never informed us of this. The elevator has a security camera built-in where you can see what the people are doing in the elevators as you stand waiting for the elevator to come down to the lobby. The lobby can get quite cramped if there's a lot of luggage stored and the housekeeping is working/putting stuff away.

Una parada de metro cerca que comunicaba muy bien y el resto del hotel muy bien también. Si volvemos a Osaka miraríamos este hotel como una opción muy buena .

• David (10/5): - Small but comfortable even for a family of 4. My only issue was the lights on a sensor so if you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, the hallway lights come on possibly waking up thise still sleeping. The room was well equipped with a large refrigerator, freezer, clothes washer and even a stove. Checkin was all by kiosk as was check out, no staff was there but we didnt need them. Not really sure what would happen if you have an issue and need to contact management, but luckily we did not have that issue. Great stay overall! By the way, try the Udon place next door. He doeant open until 11am but the udon was excellent!

• Luciana (8/5): Good price, location and facilities but nobody there - the location and the hotel, very easy to check in Nobody was there. we had 2 consecutive reservations because I couldn't extend one. I asked multiple time to combine them it was the same room room Type. I was told they couldn't do it and we were forced to check out and check in back. this was also bad for them as they had to clean the room from scratch. I couldn't even leave the luggage downstairs. No human interaction no personal touch.

• Kamille (8/5): - I wish we had control over the Light fixtures. It was would automatically turn on by sensor and it going to the bathroom was a nuisance at night. I have a 2 year old that's sensitive to light and will wake up whe turned on. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The location is pretty central. It's not too close to the crowds of Dotonbori, but we are able to walk the location fine.
• Ajay (7/5): Very sophisticated, tech enabled hotel but lacking a personal touch. - It was centrally located and walkable distance from the metro station. Breakfast was not included in the plan. I don't think the hotel is structured to provide breakfast (it seemed like a very self service kind of place) There was no staff to answer any queries and no arrangements to satisfy any hunger pangs within the hotel. (There were restaurants close by within walking distance, though).

Die Zimmer sind halt klein, das ist in japanischen Großstädten aber nicht selten. Es gibt keine Rezeption, also auch keine Personen, die man ansprechen kann.

• Alexander (9/5): Great self check in hotel. - Very clean. Separate toilet from the bathroom. Comfortable beds. I would like to get more clear instructions for the self check in. It was a bit confusing.
• Tadashi (10/5): - Despite a slow start due to using touch pad for checking in process where I had to WRITE on screen instead of typing in details, the room was spacious compared with other hotels in Japan and very clean. Great amenities inside the room including the projector and nice bath. Will be more than happy to stay there again on our next visit to Osaka!

• Nadine (8/5): Perfect stay for independent travels - This accommodation has a self-check in concept. Instructions were sent to us in advance. It worked out fine. Everything was very modern. The apartment was clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a small kitchenette (without utensils, dishes and such). The building has an elevator. There is an option for temporary luggage storage. The location is convenient, close to the station, with shops and restaurants nearby.
