Susan (8/5): Amazing location. - Great location. Near major sights and shops We knew that it was right on the tram line..so we couldn't be dropped off or picked up at the door. But it was pretty easy to work around.
eduardo & sylvia (9/5): - Great Location!! Steps away from mono rail stop and lot of very good restaurants. Walking distance from the Blue Mosque. Comfortable apartment. Nice view of the street and it's vibe. Bathroom shower needs a deep cleaning. Lack of shelves in bathroom. Walls are dark needs more lighting.
Shamima (7/5): Excellent location with room for improvement - Excellent location. Properly felt safe and secure. Clean and cosy. The property looked like the photos but on closer inspection some things needed to be better maintained / fixed e.g. the bathroom cabinet fell off the hinges during our stay and it looked like it had already been fixed once before. We had issues accessing the apartment when checking in which caused some stress late at night. Lack of direct access to staff made this more difficult to resolve. A simple lockbox instead of an electronic keypad could fix this easily.
Lena (6/5): Super Lage, freundliches Personal, oberflächlich geputzt - Die Unterkunft war sehr zentral. Wir haben sehr schnell Antwort von der betreuenden Person bekommen. Die Unterkunft hate alles was man braucht. Genau neben der Tramstation. Danke Elif :) Es ist sehr hellhörig, man hört draussen immer das Tram und viel Lärm. Nur grob geputzt, der Boden und das Bett waren in Ordnung ansonsten waren alle Küchenschränke und der Spiegel voller Putzspuren und der Herd war verklebt und das Waschbecken war voller Kalkflecken. Man sagte uns dann, dass alles nur Wasserflecken sind und bot uns eine erneute Reinigung an, wir haben es dann aber so hingenommen, da wir sowieso den ganzen Tag draussen waren. Wir haben ein Babybett reserviert, welches bei der Ankunft nicht da war. Man teilte man uns mit, dass dieses am nächsten Tag da wäre und wir dies nicht reserviert hätten. Nach langem Hin und Her bekamen wir dann das reservierte Bett. Es war sehr mühsam, nach der langen Reise noch einem reservierten Bett nachzurennen da waren wir sehr entäuscht.

Anastassiya (10/5): A very pleasant stay - The apartments are new, modern, and very well maintained. The location is excellent- right next to the entrance of Gülhane Park, which made it very convenient for sightseeing and walking around the area. There is also a T1 tram stop just by the building, which is a huge plus, making it very easy and convenient to explore other parts of Istanbul without any hassle. The self check-in process was easy and convenient, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the option of a late check-out, which was kindly offered to us- thank you very much for that! On the downside, it was possible to hear the tram and street announcements from outside. However, this didn’t bother us much, as we usually woke up early and returned to the room quite tired in the evenings, so it didn’t affect our sleep.
Marwo (5/5): A convenient location but overall let down by comfort issues and lack of basic amenities, especially for a longer stay w - Overall, the experience was mixed. The biggest positive is definitely the location, it’s very central, with shops, restaurants, and public transport (including the metro) right nearby, which made getting around really easy. The apartment itself also looks nice and modern. However, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable, especially for three people over a longer period. The sleeping setup wasn’t ideal, while there is a bed, the third person has to sleep on a sofa that doesn’t convert into a proper bed, which became quite uncomfortable over multiple nights. We also experienced electricity outages twice during our stay. One of the nights we had to get ready completely in the dark, and the second time it happened on our departure day, which delayed us. The apartment wasn’t very well equipped for three guests. There were only two plates and two mugs, no bowls, which made basic things like eating meals inconvenient. Supplies like toilet paper were also insufficient for a week-long stay. Another issue was with the hot water. When showering one after another, the hot water would run out quickly, it would start to go cold midway through the second person’s shower, and by the third person it was often completely cold. Additionally, the lighting in the apartment is quite dim, making it difficult to get ready, especially in the evenings.

Ak (9/5): Modern, clean and comfortable apartment in a very central location of Sultanahmet - Enjoyed our stay at Urban Quarters Gulhane. The property is in the heart of Sultanahmet, at the edge of Gulhane park and a stones throw from Toptaki Palace. There is a tram right outside which makes getting around with public transport relatively easy. The property itself is very modern on the inside and nice and clean. Both the bed and sofa bed were super comfortable. Special shout out to the charming Elif, who coordinated everything during our stay and really helped us out, many thanks! The property is not easy to find if I'm honest, it is just a single door on a very busy street and you will need help locating it. Also, from a family perspective, there are steps when you enter the door straight after the door entry, if you have a pram or pushchair it can be a bit tricky getting in and out. Lastly, the kitchen in the property is fantastic but could really do with a sink and tap.

Naskø (10/5): Istanbul by walk - The location is great, every main attraction is on walkable distance. It was clean and the facilities are good. I saw some reviews that the roof was leaking when it was rainy which are true because there are marks on the roof but they fixed that because it was raining as well during our stay but it wasn't leaking. Also the tram station is just around the corner, the most useful lane of them all (T1). We didn't meet the host in person but Elif was very helpful and she responds fast on WhatsApp for any questions and needs. Would definitely come back. Since the tram lane is right on the same street you can hear the trams but it wasn't really a problem for us. We took a nap during the day so it was easy to fall asleep while there are passing by. Also they didn't wake us up when they are starting at 6am. So it's not really a problem unless you need complete silence to fall asleep or to sleep.
Naeema (8/5): - Lovely and clean apartment in the centre of Istanbul. Great communication from the host. A very good location only a few minutes walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, with the tram stop right in front - super convenient. However, this comes with a lot of noise during the night which makes it difficult to sleep. I would recommend this apartment, great price for what it is - but bring ear plugs or avoid if you’re a light sleeper.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attent - The room was not only spacious and immaculately clean, but also styled with a modern and chic decor. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. Additionally, the air conditioning was excellent, ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. I observed that individuals other than hotel guests and staff seemed to have access to the main entrance, which could be concerning for solo travelers, particularly women, regarding security. Additionally, the hotel's soundproofing was inadequate; noises from outside were easily audible within the room, which might affect the comfort of guests seeking a quiet environment.
Osama (8/5): Very good - Very good area, right next to the tram station. A few minutes walk to many tourist attractions, Gulhane park, Sultanahmet, bazaar, etc. Elif has been quick to respond and is very professional! Didn't have hot water during checkout day but other than that no issues.
Oleg (7/5): It has a lot of potential, but just not there yet. - The location, ease of check in, WiFi and host communication were great. We have especially loved the concept of a staff-less hotel, where you are being contacted directly via the Booking messenger. Complementary drink in a fridge and the modern interior were also a great touch. As soon as you enter, opposite an elevator there is a literal hole in the wall leading to another souvenir shop. A shoes rack and some sort of carpet were being used to cover it. Definitely points down for that. Cleanliness was adequate, the floors were all in small stains. Meaning no deep cleaning was done. It’s manageable with a pair of slippers provided, although not the standard you would expect. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, with occasional turn offs at times. Definitely a huge minus that could have been prevented. There is a daily housekeeping, which does the job of folding your bedsheets, wiping down the sink area and changing our towels. No floors cleaning or hovering was done. Moreover, we never seem to get out second roll of toilet paper for our 5 days stay;) Additionally, the shelves and cupboards were quite dusty at the check in, we had to wipe them down ourselves. Soundproof walls, as advertised were not so much soundproof. We were woken up today by a couple using a hair dryer at 6am in the room next to us. It was EXTREMELY loud with both of our doors shut. The same situation with the trains passing under the building, it is extremely noticeable even during the night time. I genuinely couldn’t sleep well for the past two days. The air conditioning seemed to have stoped working. The cooling feature itself has never worked. We were only able to set the AC to a fan mode, witch has helped a bit, although after 3 days of use, it has stopped blowing cold air. Ever since, it has constantly blown a hot air, regardless of lowering the thermostat temperature.
Efrain (8/5): Lovely city - The room was clean and looked just like the photos on Booking. The location is fantastic, with a 10-minute walking distance to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. Additionally, there is a beautiful park, Gulhane Park, next to the property, and best of all, a tram station just a few steps away. They were kind enough to leave complimentary beverages in the fridge and some pots of coffee. The building has been recently refurbished, so everything looks good. Host communication is excellent; she promptly replies to the messages you leave on Booking. You have to be very careful when opening the street door since it opens outward and there is a narrow sidewalk, probably one meter wide, and it's a busy street and the tram passes next to it. The Wifi worked very well for the first two days; however, it was completely off on the last day in the morning. I informed the host about it, and she came to fix it within an hour. The soundproofing is not that good since on the first night, there were some guests next door who were chatting and laughing until 1:30 am, and we could hear them as if they were right next to our door.
