Saeed (8/5): - The restaurant’s Royal Benedict breakfast was a genuine highlight of the stay, well prepared and a great way to start the day. Questionable room layout and squeaky floors made it difficult to relax during a layover stay. While the property is undeniably luxurious in appearance and ambition, the overall experience fell short of what would typically be expected from a truly refined luxury standard.

Unaufmerksam, nicht motiviert Receptionisten müssen besser ausgebildet werden!

Oliver (10/5): Ein besonderes Erlebnis auf höchstem Niveau, vielen Dank! - Das hochwertige Ambiente ist sehr besonders, nicht nur edel, sondern einzigartig. Die Bar ist sowohl betreffend den Service als auch in Bezug auf Auswahl und Qualität der Drinks überragend gut. Beim Frühstück war der Service nicht optimal und die Auswahl am Buffet war quantitativ und qualitativ eher dürftig. Die Frühstückskarte hingegen ist umfangreich und die insoweit gebotene Qualität lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Every detail is thought through, from the decor to Rosenthal bone china, to small things like plug adapters provided in the room (life saver, since we came from USA and, of course, forgot the adapter). The service is superb, the facilities are clean and excellently maintained. We had a fantastic stay! Breakfasts (and food overall) were the highest quality, with beautiful presentation. Sending lots of thanks to their chef and their team. Everyone on the staff was constantly on top of their game. My family and I are a kind of people who do care about our hotel experiences. Not like, “But we are there to explore, not to stay in a hotel, so who cares”. We do, and we are very picky. Rosewood Munich didn’t disappoint! We were there for Easter, and the hotel was so beautifully decorated! There were Easter activities for kids, and some fun surprises from the chef, and beautiful, one of a kind, giant chocolate Easter eggs for sale from a pastry chef. Pro tip: make sure to bring a lot of cash: you will definitely want to tip everyone who works in the hotel. I’m not kidding.

They took care us about our many requests. The rooms are really good. Sauna and swimming pool are relaxable and comfortable. Restaurant and Bar Montez also rely good, the behaviours of the staff towards us were relly good.

When a guest leaves their suitcase at reception an hour before check-in, it would be appreciated if it could be brought directly to the room. Unfortunately, I had to insist quite a bit to retrieve mine. The evening turndown service also had to be requested, and I was told it isn’t something they usually do. It’s a bit surprising, especially considering the price of the room, as these small touches normally add to the overall experience. That said, the staff is very friendly and professional, 🤗which still makes the stay pleasant overall.😊

Q6667UTstefank (10/5): A sense of luxury in Central Munich - As Munich locals, we spent one night at the Rosewood Munich, which is located in a calm street right next to the upper-scale section of the central pedestrian shopping zone. The former bank buildings in that street, including the Rosewood itself, are breathtakingly beautiful, and the historic decorations in the entrance area of the hotel impressive. Locationwise, we would not know a more suitable place in Munich. Our expectations were not overwhelming after a rather disappointing previous experience at the bar as external guests. Even though the doormen could be more attentive towards arriving guests, the front desk reception by Vanessa was excellent, very friendly, and even a sparkling welcome drink was offered. The lovely front desk team also made sure of an amazing upgrade to a wonderful Deluxe Suite, even though our booking had been made only one day in advance of our arrival. The Suite design was beautiful, the relaxing sounds of the courtyard including the ring of Central Munich's church bells made sure of an outstanding acoustic Munich experience. The housekeeping took excellent care of the very clean room that offered a great bathroom including a good shower and very enjoyable bath tub. The wide selection of bathroom amenities must be applauded, yet, as at many hotels, we did not quite understand why amenities were only prepared for one person when two guests were announced. Internet was very fast, the bed comfortable. Unfortunately, the telephone system was not working well. The welcome wine, an exquisite sparkling wine from Austria, was a great surprise, also the hand-written card, which would have seemed even more personal with both guest names on it. Despite the very friendly welcome, it took us some time to get used to the breakfast concept, which is a combination of buffet and à-la-carte options. But in general, breakfast was good with barista coffee. It was a little surprising that no sparkling wine was proactively offered because that offer is very common in the German speaking sphere. Upon request, we were able to enjoy a lovely Austrian rosé. Also, in Munich and alongside white sausages - those were excellent by the way - beer is frequently offered, not at Rosewood though. In total, the breakfast was still a pleasant overall experience. The pool was nice and relaxing, not crowded, and equipped with many water massage devices. In total, we are very grateful for a short, but very generous and luxurious time out in our own hometown. Finally, we have experienced a Munich hotel worth returning to, even as Munich residents.

Christoph (9/5): Sehr schönes Hotel, das mit den meisten anderen 5* Hotels in München absolut mithalten kann - Der Eingangsbereich des ehemaligen Bankgebäudes ist wirklich beeindruckend! Der Check-in war schnell und freundlich, wie das ganze Team sehr freundlich war! Das ganze Hotel war sehr sauber, ordentlich und modern, da gibt es keinerlei Kritikpunkte! Der Poolbereich im zweiten Untergeschoss war trotz einiger Gäste ruhig und entspannend! Die Lage des Hotels: ca. 5 Gehminuten vom Marienplatz, also ideal für den Besuch der Innenstadt! Wir haben in unserem "Grand premier room" den Schrank für Kleider vermisst, das war trotz des großen Zimmers etwas wenig Staurum. Ausserdem sind die Angaben der Zusatzkosten -für uns- undurchsichtig: laut Booking-Seite kostet ein Frühstück 50 Euro, auf der Frühstückskarte wird a-la-Carte berechnet. Da hätte wir gerne zuverlässigere Angaben.
