- DewiW24 (10/5): Highly recommend - Good value for money and in a great location. Easy access to 3 train stations. Quiet area and close to Ueno park and restaurants. The hotel and room were very clean. The room was a good size. The kitchenette and washing machine were also very handy!
- Vikistravels (10/5): Excellent stay - We were 4 adults and had a connecting apartment consisting of two connected studio apartments. Hotel staff were very helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Really nice and welcoming people! Our apartment was very clean and comfortable. Because it’s connected we had two kitchens, two washing machines with dryer function, two bathrooms (one separate and one adjoining). It was on a higher floor and we were able to open the windows slightly for fresh air. Hotel location was convenient to visit Ueno, Akihabara and some other less famous but nice neighborhoods by foot. Also there were 3 metro stations and one JR station within easy walking distance. The neighborhood around the hotel was quiet and nice and we had a good rest there. The only downside was that we had to pay for additional cleaning (as many times as we wanted) and the price was slightly high. Anyhow I think that Section L Yushima was a very good choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back once in Tokyo.
- bojanbeker (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Staff was helpful and hospitable, always greeted us with a smile. They speak perfect English, which was great for us because we do not speak Japanese. The location was in quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but close to all important sites. We would often walk and not use public transportation. A few lines of public transportation are just 5 minutes away, so that was great. The room is very clean and comfortable, with all the appliances you could need. All appliances are very high quality, not the cheap ones hotels usually use. The only minus is the lack of natural light in the room. The window is close to the adjacent building, so not a lot of light can pass through. All in all, a very pleasant stay, ありがとうございます
- vivian (10/5): Small comfy room! - Location was great, tucked away from the noise and crowds, yet still convenient to the attractions & public transport. I chose it specifically for its proximity to the Ueno station to the Narita airport. The room was typically Japanese small but efficient & organized. We were three so we played luggage tetris but there is storage under the bed. We were thankful for the kitchen and washer/dryer (detergent included). Everything was thoughtful. The beds were comfortable. They had already set up the sofa bed when we arrived, which was a nice touch. Like it a lot!
- virvindl (8/5): Convenient friendly small hotel - We have a two connected rooms at high floor, we were party of four : parents with two grown boys , like 21 and 25 . The rooms were small but provided what’s needed for eight night stay in Tokyo. The washing / dryer combined machine was very helpful and next time we will come with much less luggage . The hotel location is very close to metro line , actually two minutes of walk or five to other Ginza line. The rooms are equipped with small kitchen, but when 7/Eleven is near the hotel we find it not required. Staff is very friendly and helpful . To summarize - very good experience, only drawback the room size , but it seems the standard in Japan

Forse avremmo dovuto chiederlo ma, solitamente, dopo 3 notti un cambio asciugamani almeno dovrebbero farlo.

We started our trip with museums which were close by and everything else was easy to get to due to hotel proximity to subway and trains. The room was very clean and had more than we needed. We didn't need the kitchenette but it was great having the washing machine/dryer. The hotel and the neighborhood were very quiet which we liked at lot. It was nice to come back from a hectic day touring to a calming environment. The staff was very helpful with our questions and it was super helpful that their English was good.

- Amir (8/5): - The hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the room I thought I booked was not the room I got. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting. The room we had was extremely small, with a small frosted window that only about a couple inches. If you are at all claustrophobic, you may not be able to manage. I asked for a different room, but they were fully booked. However, they did agree to refund our stay minus the one night we stayed. This was very kind of them, and I was able to find more suitable accommodation.

Conveniently located in an area where we were able to access different leisure activities without breaking the bank. Family Mart is across the street. 7 11, 3 minutes walking distance down the road. - pmdev11 (10/5): Good for families - It is very Good studio apartment. Its bit compact for 3 but for tourists its good as one spends most of the time outside. We used the washing machine cum dryer which was excellent. If you want to heat or cook your own food then its excellent option. For families too I would recommend this place as it is very near to Ueno park for boating, pandas etc.... Shopping areas are nearby. There is Yushima shrine nearby where students specially can pray as the deity is deity of studies and success in studies.
- 43davish (8/5): A comfortable small apartment near Ueno - Section L Yushima is located on a quiet side street south of Ueno, just around the corner from a Chiyoda Line Metro Station. The room is spacious by Tokyo standards and well equipped. Our room had a small kitchen and a spacious bathroom with a washing machine, which is very useful for a long stay (we stayed one week). The front lobby ladies are very friendly and speak perfect English. The only negative was that we found it difficult to get in and out of our double bed since it was placed in the corner of the room. Also, the sheets were not freshly laundered (but the front desk lady quickly gave us new sheets when we asked). I would recommend Section L for visitors staying several days since it is spacious and has a washing machine.
- robert (10/5): - Section L Yushima is like an efficiency apartment, with a kitchenette and washing machine. It is spacious by Tokyo standards. It is on a quiet side street in the Yushima neighborhood, south of Ueno. There is a Chiyoda Metro entrance just around the corner. There is no maid service, but they have English-speaking attendants (English mother tongue, I would say...) in the lobby 24-7, which is a nice service.

- AlfieNotAlfie (10/5): perfect oasis - section l is a perfect little oasis in a quieter corner of Tokyo. it's a perfect location with a subway seconds up the road, and ueno station/park a ten minute walk away. there are several konbinis close by, and akahabara is also just a ten minute walk away for evenings. staff were very friendly and helpful. amenities in the room were everything you could possibly need and plenty of space to relax.

Really nice to have laundry in our room. Beds were super comfortable. The only negative was how small and cramped the room felt. There were no drawers or closet--just a hanging rack for your clothes. There was no space to even lay a suitcase other than on top of the small 3-person table in the middle of the room. Stayed with my family of 4. Great place if you're ok with a small space!

I especially appreciated their help to secure a Pokemon surprise for my daughter, which she was over the moon about and really created a beautiful core memory for her. It was such a great comfortable stay. Some noteable points: - close to a family mart and grocery store - minutes away from ueno park. I jogged there every morning and it was so beautiful! -close to JR lines -close to coffee shops and yummy restaurants - loved the amenities (kitchen and washing machine) - great space and aesthetic Choose this one
- vtfarm645 (10/5): Favorite place to stay in Tokyo - We visit Tokyo regularly and Section L is our favorite place to stay. It is the perfect combination of hotel and apartment. The size of the room and the amenities offered make a long term stay virtually perfect. It is a bit more expensive compared to serviced aparthotels, but to us, it is worth it. The beds are firmer than most westerners are used to. Although not my favorite part of the stay, they too are worth the compromise. The staff is exceptional, the location couldn't be better, and the ability to have a meal (comfortably) in your own space is fabulous. We'll be back again!

- Dylan (10/5): - As an American family of adults and teens, this hotel was wonderful for a visit to Tokyo. The "Superior studio" was enough room for three adults or teens. We used the extra bed/couch for our stuff and there was still room to sit at the table and eat together. The staff were very helpful and communicated well in English. The hotel also supplied a web site that we used to ask questions before we arrived and during our stay. The bathroom and shower were spacious for one person to use at a time. The kitchen was fully equipped with fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, toaster oven, and kettle. There was also a washer/dryer. The street was quiet and felt safe at night. A 24-hour Family Mart is right across the street with fresh and packaged food. The southwest corner of Ueno Park is a few blocks away on a busy but safe street. Walking to the museums, Ueno Stations, or the outdoor Ameyoko shopping area are about 15-minute walks (uphill for the museums) but less than 1000Y for a taxi to those places. On arrival/departure we walked with our suitcases between the hotel and the station for the Narita Skyliner train (Keisi Ueno Station), the 15 minutes was manageable but some would prefer to hail a taxi.

- Tippyleaf (10/5): Fabulous - The studio apartment was spacious, well equipped ( inc microwave, kettle, rice cooker, washer/ dryer) within short walking distance to the Kansai line plus 3 other lines. Ueno park 7-8 mins walk. Lots of small restaurants nearby plus a supermarket and 2 convenience stores close by. All staff we met were lovely, helpful & friendly. Free coffee/tea and umbrellas you could borrow when needed. Would definitely stay again as/when I return to Tokyo.

- Dottleby70 (10/5): Perfect city gem of its own - This hotel was perfect for our family of four on holiday. The location is ideal - in a lovely neighbourhood yet walking distance to Ueno’s parks and museums. The room layout - we had two interconnecting rooms - was ideal and gave us separate sleeping spaces and room to spread out for shared meals and living. The staff have been amazing with helpful suggestions on top of Section L’s city gems and we’ve loved our stay.

- loadright (10/5): good - I chose this place for 4 people with reasonable price, the best location for a trip to Tokyo, appliances such as kitchen and washing machine, and few pieces. I especially liked that they allowed me to bring slippers to use during the trip. People who lived in a floor heating room may not be familiar with the cold floor. The walls of the rooms are rough. Overall, if I come back to Tokyo, I will use Section L.

The laundry/ dryer was a godsend. Room layout was nice and suitable for myself, wife, and 2 kids Wished i could have stayed longer!

- 876cherylr (10/5): Thoughtfully laid out and well-equipped - Our family of four stayed for 5 nights and loved it so much, we cancelled our other Tokyo hotel reservations when went back after a quick trip to Kyoto. There was a dry air advisory while we were in Japan, so we were very thankful the hotel provided an air filter with humidifier. We didn’t have one in Kyoto and definitely felt the difference. Each person working at the front desk was super friendly and helpful and spoke English. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms had wonderful heated toilets with all the extra functions (as they do almost everywhere we went in Japan!), and I especially loved how the toilet was in a separate room in the first room we stayed in (slightly more expensive). That separation made sharing the bathroom so easy and painless. (The shower room was also separated from the sink/mirror in both rooms, fyi.) Ueno was very lively and fun and there are tons of shops and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend the Nepalese restaurant right next door (Baidam)! There is a subway stop steps away from the hotel, as well as a Family Mart (which helped feed my food allergy-heavy family many a time). We would definitely stay at Section L again!!

- JuiceBoxPopCan (10/5): Good overall, no complaints - Our family of four (with grown kids) enjoyed our stay. Our first criteria is proper bed for each person, no sharing beds. The twin beds and sofa beds are quite comfy. It’s nice to have a small kitchen with everything we need for an easy meal and a round table to eat at. Washing machine with built in dryer means we never run out of clean clothes. Shower is hot and has good pressure, my personal favorite after a long day of walking. Shopping malls, subway and many dinning options within walking distance. I recommend this place.

Sofa beds are comfy too although a little short for a grown man. I like the shower room the best. Shower is hot and has good pressure, perfect after a long day of walking. Shopping malls, restaurants and subway are within walking distance. I recommend this place.

- Chrisg123098 (10/5): Great stay in great location! - We had a wonderful stay in Section L Yushima Ueno. The room was much more spacious than expected (we had been told rooms in Tokyo were quite small) and had all the amenities we needed. The hotel felt very secure and was very clean and quiet. The area is fantastic. We felt very safe in the area at all hours and there is a police station around the corner. There are plenty of train stations walking distance nearby and the beautiful Ueno park just a few minutes away. There are also plenty of food spots in the area. We had no issue getting wherever we needed to go from this location walking/via metro. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again!

- Ching Hui (10/5): 非常棒 - 房間清潔乾淨，有微波爐、電磁爐、電子鍋還有洗衣機，所有餐具都有準備，也有提供洗衣精、洗髮精和沐浴乳⋯等 我們這次住兩個人，我覺得空間剛剛好，兩咖大行李箱打開也不會佔太多行人空間，下次來還會想要繼續住
- SZE MAN (4/5): - 首先上野有兩間Section L，要睇清楚訂左邊間 沒有執房服務，要自行清理垃圾，清潔房間/更換毛巾要額外收費 住一兩晚冇所謂，住得耐請三思 好唔好彩，我住到房間唔夠熱水，沖沖吓變凍水，要等5分鐘先變返熱水，搞到我阿媽病咗 我地三人住，每晚沖涼好似抽生死籌咁睇吓邊個沖沖下會變凍水，每日都向職員反映，但都要去到第四晚先完全正常 🙄🙄🙄

- mikyoung (10/5): 4인까지 가능한 객실~사이즈 넉넉해요 - 바닥이 카펫이 아니라서 깔끔하고 좋았구요 주방에서 간단한 조리가 가능합니다. 우리는 라면 끓여먹었어요^^ 3박4일인데 수건 리필을 못해서 (비용추가인듯) 그냥 아껴서 썼어요. 싱글침대2개, 쇼파베드 1개, 변신안한 쇼파가 있어서 공간 넉넉해요. 다음에 친구들이랑 다시 방문할 계획있어요

- Jeshua (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and ready to help, though there was very little I needed beyond what was provided. The room was reasonably small and very clean; the smaller size (compared to U.S.) was helpful when cooling the room down. All appliances were like new and perfectly functional. The room was quiet and we made/recieved no complaints regarding other guests. I would absolutely select this hotel again for a future trip!

- Ge (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay for a few days in Tokyo. The rooms are like apartments which make laundry and simple cooking easy. Walking distance to shopping and dining.

- Jacqueline (10/5): - Staff were so helpful and friendly. Great to have a washing machine in the room. Beds and pillows were a bit firm but after a long day in Tokyo we still got good rest. Very quiet. Strong AC. Family mart right around the corner. Yushima station is the closest. We would stay here again
- Hsiangyi (10/5): - Comfy and clean environment. Staffs are very nice and full of patience. Strongly recommend!
- Soomin (10/5): - 숙소도 넓고 좋고, 직원분들도 무척 친절했습니다. 우에노공원 옆이라 여유로우신 분들에게 강추합니다. 특히 하루에 한잔 무료인 커피가 너무너무 맛있었습니다.

- Jennifer (10/5): - Super friendly staff Clean, neat and convenient for English speaking travellers. We enjoyed the happy hour on Friday night and everything my teenaged family of 4 needed was here
- Rashmi (8/5): - Fantastic place to stay which is near subway//JR station and Keisei line. Room was very well equipped but for a family of 4. I wish we could tell that the room was rather small. It does not appear small from photos. Friendly staff and super clean facility otherwise.

- TOMOKO (4/5): - 部屋に入った瞬間、芳香剤のきつい匂いがして気分が悪くなった。タバコの匂いがしてその匂いを消すためではないかと思った。 掃除がいきとどいてなく、清潔感がなかった。 お風呂場も毛が落ちていた。 エアコンの効きが悪く部屋の場所によってとても寒かった。 評価が9以上の宿泊施設とは思えない。

- James (10/5): What a great experience. - Incredible experience staying at Section L in Yushima. Very well located in a less touristic area of Tokyo. The hotel and room are very clean and well appointed - you can self cater some of your meals very easily. Very highly recommend this hotel as value for money in an incredible city.

This hotel is in a nice, convenient location, easy to get to trains, restaurants, and shops. I would definitely stay at this property again in the future.

- Juan (10/5): - the small apartments have everything you need for a short stay of up to a week while you are travelling around Japan including coocking facilities and utensils a fridge freezer and a washer - dryer. The staff are amazingly friendly and we absolutely loved it.
- Kana (10/5): - Great location for transportation, shopping, and restaurant. Very quiet during the night. Clean and decent size room. Easy check in and out. Stuff members are very friendly.
