Es hätte mehr Wasser im Kühlschrankl sein können, da man das Leitungswasser nicht trinken kann. Das Schlafsofa ist etwas klein bzw. kurz. Zimmer ist für 2 Personen perfekt, für 3 etwas klein.

As many people mentioned it is next to a cami so you can hear azan, we found their version to be comfortable and creative. The wall is a little bit thin, you can hear many things.

Ferry to Uskudar around the corner, tram to Sultanahmet/Besiktas also around the corner. Easy check in/check out, prompt response from the staff regarding any of the questions, clean. Nearby Yeralti Camii (underground mosque) could be a con for some people, however we had no problems to be woke up on some days at 5-6am alongisde with prayers. Otherwise very quiet alley Mattress could be stiffer, I would also appreciate better pillows but this was more than manageable for 5 nights

Les commerces autour sont très bien aussi. Les chambres ne sont pas assez isolées entre elles. On entendait la chambre d’à côté tousser et simplement parler. Ils ont tapé dans le mur quand on regardait un film… Le ménage niveau poussière et douche pourrait être amélioré.

The location, interior, and overall vibe created a very pleasant stay, and we truly appreciated the unique character of the place. The only small downside was the cleanliness in some hard-to-reach areas. For example, there was quite a bit of dust under the bed, and it seemed like some furniture or objects hadn’t been moved for cleaning in a while. A slightly more thorough cleaning in those spots would make the stay absolutely perfect.

Die Decken sind hoch, was den Raum nicht einengend wirken lässt. Das Schlüsselsystem macht Sinn und da alles mit einem Code zugänglich ist, muss man keinen Schlüssel mittragen. Es ist sehr hellhörig. Man hört die Personen im Gang und auch Musik von draußen. Die Tür des Badezimmers war mühsam zu öffnen und hat stark gequietscht. Das sind jedoch nur kleine Details.

• Maree (10/5): Excellent apartment - Lovely apartment in an excellent location. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent with easy access to trams, buses and ferries. There are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants around including plenty of fish wrap stalls. There are also mini markets close by. It is right next door to a Mosque so you will hear the call to prayer but we didn't mind, actually we enjoyed hearing the singing. I would also recommend the apartment to provide a dish cloth and tea towel to help in the kitchen.

• Sorina-maria (8/5): Very good - Nice interior design, very clean and confortable. Close to bus station. Self check-in is an advantage. In the bathroom there was a pipe smell, so you better close the door. And also, you can hear everything that is happening in the bathroom, so for a new couple, maybe it's not the best. There's a mosque close to the hotel, so every morning you can hear the call for prayer.
• Sam (10/5): Lovely functional and very well located studio - Loved the location, less than 5 minutes from tram T1 that goes to Topkapi and the mosques, or to Kabatas pier for a Bosphorus tour. Less than 10 minutes from the funicular to Galata Tower and from Karaköy pier with ferries to Kadiköy. You also have a few quieter places for coffee around, as well as restaurant Gümrük which plays jazz music. I also loved how the studio was organised and decorated. Contact with Elif was very effective. Cleaning ladies were nice. Nothing. I read about the prayer call, and it is really loud, but with the windows closed I slept through it. If I didn’t travel alone, I would choose a bigger room than the studio, and if I had stayed more than a few days the same in order to have a washing machine and a workdesk, but for me this was perfect.
• Martine (9/5): Nice stay, but wish they had a reception or staff - the place is really nice and clean, I would return. However I wish there was at least a contact or staff, I had a check out at 12, but my flight was at 21.30 - I did not know where to leave the luggage or if the luggage would be secure...I left a message on the whatsapp, but the person replied after I had left the premises. This is an important fact for every traveller to know they can leave the luggage secure.
• Gloria (7/5): Well designed but impossible to sleep through the night - The location of the hotel was nice, and we enjoyed the nearby Gumruk restaurant, and easy access to the waterfront and tram stops. The apartment was well presented, lift was convenient, and check-in process/door code was nice smooth. Bed was comfortable. It's pretty hard to overcome the 3:30 a.m. Fajr call to prayer every night that goes on for about 15-20 minutes (plus another one around 5:30). Earplugs don't stand a chance against the volume and it creates a total disruption for the night. I should have read the reviews on this more closely before booking, but wasn't anticipating that the loud speaker would be almost directly across the bedroom window. We also found the room itself was quite stuffy and warm, even with the AC on which effectively cooled the living area, but not the bedroom for sleep. As others have mentioned, very creaky floorboards and a too-high toilet, and partially transparent bathroom door that doesn't stay open. As much as the apartment itself is well presented, the noise level would rule out a future stay for us.

Only issue I would note is some mold growing in the corners of the bathroom near the shower. Otherwise was super clean and such a lovely place to stay! Great location as well! • Winnie (9/5): Lovely stay at Urban Quarters - Love the heritage of the building and the idea of modern conversion to a hotel. The rooms was spacious and well equipped and great for them to offer free beverages. Locations is great, minutes walk to tourist attractions and tram line. While I acknowledge it is an older building, the floorboards do creak when walked on, and some sound does travel between floors.

• Aditya (8/5): Very good - Excellent location in Karakoy, close to the tram station. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. The caretaker (Elif) was very nice and tried to be very helpful. Soundproofing could be improved. There was no water for 2 days but on one of the days, Elif was quick to get that rectified for us.
• Daniil (6/5): ok for the price - Hip interior. Water in the fridge. No fish wrap shops outside so the window can be open for the fresh air. Slippers. Very poor water pressure. Thin walls allow to hear babies and the crack under allow to hear people walking. Windows are against other windows, curtains have to be closed at all times. It seems to be by the mosque because we were woken up by a very loud prayer each day at 5am. Bed has two mattresses under a single sheet.
• Jason (9/5): Lovely clean quirky property in a good location - Clean, tidy and trendy decor with comfy beds in a great location just outside the tourist area. A pleasant walk over the bridge every morning was lovely. Located next to Galata Port with lots of restaurants and high end shops. A short walk to Galatia tower and nightlife but located in a secluded road next to a wonderful bar / restaurant that does excellent breakfasts, food and cocktails for a very reasonable price with jazz music playing in the background!! The accommodation is located next to a mosque with a call to prayer every morning around 5am so if you don't want to be woken up keep your windows closed.!! I found it quite pleasant but some might not..
• VALENTINA (8/5): - ottima posizione vicino alla galata tour, bel quartiere, camere molto spaziose e abbastanza moderne. Potrebbero migliorare un pochino sulla pulizia, però è andato tutto molto bene. Personale molto gentile e disponibile anche se non presente fisicamente ma con le mail rispondono molto velocemente.
• Anne-catherine (9/5): Very pleasurable and wholeheartedly recommendable! - The location is really great, just by the Galata bridge. Both Taksim, Grand Bazar, Topkapi and the major attractions are within walking distance. Within 800m there's also a recently renovated great hamam from 1580.. (Kilic Ali Pasa Hamami) We didn't explore public transport, but it would bring you anywhere as well. Galata port nearby has a great selection of restaurants and there are many other breakfast possibilities nearby. The room is very pleasant, and the apartment has everything one needs (including a comfortable bed!) The host is very responsive and is there to help with any requests. We'd come again! We liked the fact that there is a little mosque nearby, but if you do mind to be woken up early by morning prayers, you may want to be aware of it. It also means that the little supermarket nearby Urban Quarters doesn't sell alcohol (unless my husband overlooked it;-))

Easy self check-in, and excellent communication. We also enjoyed hearing the jazz music playing from the restaurant across the street. The shower could use a good cleaning. It wasn’t dirty per se, it just had a lot of hard water stains that would be easy to scrub off with an abrasive pad.

Everything you could want and need for a city break. There were no hooks to hang anything or side tables to put your cases on. This sort of tiny detail would have been so nice as the place was messy because we had to use the surfaces all the time. Randomly, the toilet is really high, I’m not very tall - I had to as good as jump to get on it. It was quite funny. Worth noting - all these things are small. It’s a really lovely set of apartments
• Ian (10/5): Perfect! - The apartment was perfect for us, in a fantastic location central to all of the wonderful things Istanbul has to offer. Only two minutes walk to Galeta Bridge which leads across to the historical part of the city - a city which is best discovered on foot, with ferry rides to reach further afield - Karakoy ferry terminal is also only two minutes walk away, with more ferries destinations available over the Galeta Bridge. Also very close to the funicular tram which leads up past Galeta Tower to the main shopping / nightlife area around Istiklal Street - useful to save the legs from an evening hike up the steep hill after a full days walking! Apartment was on an upper floor served by a lift and was ideal for us. Comfortably furnished and with sufficient kitchen equipment - although we only had breakfast in the apartment. Take earplugs if a light sleeper as some external noise including the atmospheric call to prayer in the early hours. Apartment and building were very clean - with room service available on request, including complementary water. Staff were very helpful and friendly - Elif met us and was always available if we had needed her help. The apartment is in an upgraded historical building and is very accurately shown in the photos. Karakoy is an up and coming area and there are a few buildings being renovated, in my opinion it is the perfect location given how central it is, with everywhere reachable by foot or ferry and foot. There was nothing that we did not like.

• Flakron (8/5): - Alles in allem für einen kurzen Trip gut geeignet. Die Unterkunft ist etwas veraltet, es wird sauber gemacht und die Lage ist top! Kann ich also für einen Ausflug nach Istanbul empfehlen.

• Italo (10/5): - Well located and very comfortable. Efil was the most lovely host. The apartment is well furnished in a modern/industrial trend. All very clean and with some beverages as courtesy for the guest. All went really well. You can take the ferry, tram or metro to go everywhere.
