• Peter (10/5): Amazing price/quality ratio on a quiet street - This hotel is the best value for money for a solo traveller. It is located in a quiet side street, but still very close to the Osmanbey metro station which is great. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was new and there is daily cleaning. I enjoyed the breakfast too, there was enough to choose from, including scrambled eggs, pancakes, bread, vegetable, jams, etc. Staff are friendly - seems to be a family-run hotel. the soundproofing is not great

• Alexander (7/5): Decent place to spend a night or two - Location is good: down town and near the metro. There is a lift, reception is 24h open. Room is just okay in size. It was clean. My room had a door to an adjacent one, but luckily there was no one staying there. Bathroom could be bigger, but I liked the "forest rain" type shower. Breakfast was good, with some fresh pastries and good tea. It even had meaty stuff and a pea soup :-P Several sorts of cheese and olives. Staff is friendly. Rooms could see a little more maintenance: there are loose screws, creaking hinges and almost nothing to hang towels or a jacket on. Windows go out on a busy street and let through almost all noise: hard to fall asleep in the evening. Owners could think how to block street noise. Maybe it was just in my case, but bedsheets had quite some lint -- they didn't look like they usually do in hotels.

Man borde ha ljus eller batteridrivna lampor som reserv. Ingen wifi då heller. Varmvatten och hiss i funktion först framåt kl 12 andra dagen. Bättre bröd och mer yoghurt till frukosten.

Ma chambre a été nettoyé tous les jours me personnel est sympa le réceptionniste de nuit est très gentil aussi. Le petit déjeuner est bon. Les chambres ne sont pas sound proof. • Fazli (1/5): - Gar nichts. Das Zimmer war extrem schmutzig, die Toilette in einem katastrophalen Zustand. Die Toilettenschüssel war mit Fäkalien verschmutzt, die auch nach der Reinigung nicht verschwanden. Bettdecke und Kissenbezüge waren blutbefleckt. Da die Heizung nicht funktionierte, mussten wir in unseren Mänteln schlafen. Wir reisten nach dem ersten Tag ab und baten um eine Rückerstattung für die restlichen Tage. Der Hotelbesitzer weigerte sich jedoch mit der Begründung, wir hätten über Booking.com gebucht. Am 2. Januar musste ich auschecken und in ein anderes Hotel umziehen.

• HAJER (7/5): Satisfaisant ! - 3ème séjour ici - Les chambres sont spacieuses, fonctionnelles et lumineuses. J'aime l'emplacement à proximité des transports (métro, bus), avec possibilité de rejoindre à pied le port de Beşiktaș (pente descendante) pour accéder facilement aux ferry vers toutes directions. Proximité centre commercial Cevahir et avenue principale pour des commerces.+++ Le petit déjeuner est varié et très bon, frais et fait maison. Les 2 femmes sont très accueillantes et serviables. Des changements sont proposés quotidiennement (appréciables sur un séjour de 15 jours). L'ensemble du personnel est discret et bienveillant. Bien que ce soit propre, le ménage est léger, pas de changement quotidien des serviettes (juste repliées) ni du couchage (même sur 15 jours !). Le lavabo et la déserte sous la télé mériteraient un nettoyage. Des cintres sont disponibles mais totalement dépareillés et pas en super bon état. Mauvaise isolation sonore de l'intérieur et un responsable qui a du mal à mettre des limites à la clientèle même s'il a pu proposer une nouvelle chambre pour mettre de la distance ! Dommage que certains et certaines client(e)s se croient seuls au monde !

• Nesli (9/5): - Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet – nur etwa 3 Minuten zu Fuß zur Metro. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ebenso das gesamte Personal. Das Zimmer war zwar etwas klein, aber für zwei Personen völlig ausreichend. Das Frühstück war klein, aber lecker und es war alles dabei, was man braucht. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt – ich würde das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Das es keine Balkone hatte .
• ENGLISH (8/5): Politeness, cleanliness, and the city, for a good price - Breakfast was good, if limited in selection. The location was great, close to metros, buses and walking distance to lots of things. Staff were quite nice. Everywhere smelled of incense, it was almost constantly burning throughout. Bathrooms were quite small and the air conditioning was turned off for the season even though temperatures and humidity were high. We were offered a floor fan and that helped a bit.

• Ahmed (10/5): A Fantastic Stay - Fantastic Stay at Shishly Palace Hotel Me and my family stayed in Shishly Palace from [September 14 to 20, 2025], and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. The check-in process was seamless, and the front desk team, especially Mr Mostafa, went above and beyond to answer our questions about local attractions. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious, with a super comfortable bed. The bathroom was well-equipped with high-quality toiletries, and the daily housekeeping kept everything pristine. The breakfast buffet was basic offering a narrow variety of options, including [e.g., local dishes or vegan choices]. The location was perfect—just a short walk to Osmanbey and Şişli, which made exploring so convenient. The only minor downside was [e.g., the view], but it didn’t detract from our overall experience. The value for money was excellent, and the staff’s attentiveness made our trip truly special. I’d highly recommend Shishly Palace to everyone, families, or anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in istanbul. We’re already looking forward to returning!

• Daniel (4/5): - O quarto do hotel é bonito, e é espaçoso. O banheiro também é ótimo. Não tomei café da manhã, então não posso avaliar. Fomos recepcionados por um senhor desqualificado, que fez um comentário grosseiro na forma de piada. Isso nos deixou com um olhar mais crítico aos problemas do hotel: o frigobar estava desconectado, então precisei puxá-lo de seu nicho para ligar. O pico que ativa o chuveiro estava emperrado, então o banho foi de chuveirinho. A roupa de cama era curta, soltava do colchão e o cobertor era pequeno demais para um casal. A região, Bomonti, é agitada no sábado à noite, mas dá um pouco de medo para quem não conhece. A rua, sem saída, estava tomada por carros, então o acesso ao hotel foi difícil. Vários pequenos pontos, mas que somados fazem com que eu eu jamais escolha esse hotel de novo, até porque não é um hotel barato.

• Andrei (8/5): Отель отлично расположен в районе Шишли в тихом переулке. Отелем управляет семья. Уборка проводиться регулярно полотенца - Чистые номера и довольно свежий фонд. Завтрак скромный, но голодными не уйдёте. По меркам Турции вполне приемлем. Ничего, если не придираться по мелочам.

• NIZAR (9/5): Very pleasant stay in Istanbul - We had a very good stay at this hotel in Istanbul. The location is excellent, close to Nişantaşı, and very convenient for moving around the city. The staff were kind and helpful, and the owner especially made our stay outstanding with his excellent communication and warm attitude. We booked two connecting family rooms, which were comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was a nice Turkish style with some variety each day. Overall, everything was good and we truly recommend this place. Nothing in particular to highlight

And to add porridge please - For Istanbul it is great location (near center, very near to metro Osmanbey) but in calm small street, small hotel, so it is really calm here. I had very good room, with almost what needed for 2 days, including good bed. And again for Istanbul I think it is good value for money and fair price (compared to others) Poor breakfast (maybe general problem for Istanbul) - no porridge, no yoghurt, curd dessert. I prefer european food, not so turkish. Not sure of soundproof walls - I heard neighbors very good
