• Theo (1/5): - Nous sommes arrivés dans la nuit, l’établissement était fermé, personne à la réception. Nous avons réussi à contacter quelqu’un qui s’est déplacé. Cette personne nous a informé que la chambre que nous avions réservé pour 3 nuits n’était pas disponible puisqu’elle avait été victime d’une inondation la semaine dernière. Nous n’avons pas été prévenu à l’avance. Le réceptionniste nous a placé dans un autre hôtel (un ami à lui) à proximité. Aucun dédommagement de la part de l’établissement, nous avons dû payer à nos frais l’autre chambre qui elle n’était pas propre (draps non changés, poubelle non vidée et la présence d’un cafard…)

It would be possible to complain a little, but for this money! it's an ideal place if someone wants a cheap hotel, we paid £30 per night for one room, so there's nothing to complain about Basically, for this price everything was ok

Also, there is no hotel signage so I spent 15 minutes walking around trying to find the hotel. Not suitable for people with disabilities/walking restrictions.

• Adam (6/5): Pleasant - The staff were great. Location in Fatih was only 10 min walk to blue mosque and 5 min walk to grand bazaar. Lots of food around. Grocery stores. Very cool interior building woth lots of interesting decor. Cool balcony in my room overlooking street. Staff really wanted to make your stay good to the best they could. Price was pretty decent. The walls are paper thin. If you're up for a few drinks and a few late nights in Fatih, good. If you want sleep, NO. The staff were helpful to quiet other noisy guests, asking multiple times, but both nights I stayed, I only slept about 5 hours each. If you stay, ask to stay on a floor without anyone. Although, the noise on the second night wasn't even my floor, and it wasn't above me, and yet it was still so loud. Bring earplugs. Good location though

• Cynthia (9/5): Great location, but in a shoe manufacturing neighborhood! - The hosts are amazing—super friendly and accommodating! The flat is clean, and the AC works perfectly, even in the scorching 100-104°F (35-40°C) heat. The location is great, close to everything and safe (I'm a woman). I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night, but if you're with friends or a partner, the neighborhood is convenient for most attractions and perfect for breakfast or dinner outings! The neighborhood is a shoe manufacturing area and quite dirty, typical of a Middle Eastern industrial spot. I didn’t feel very comfortable there and always had my keys ready, constantly looking over my shoulder at the door—probably just me. It’s not ideal for walking around except on the main avenue (Kadirga Limani), which has some nice restaurants to the left. A few streets away, there’s another main avenue (Gedik Pasa Cd).

• Mihaela (6/5): Pleasant - The location is quite good, close to the points of interest, the bed is very comfortable, the bed linens are clean and comfortable, everything has just been renovated, the room is nicely decorated, the bathroom is well made and comfortable. We took over the room with the very dirty bathroom, there was dust on the floor in the room, the kettle was dirty with coffee. Even after I asked the cleaning lady to clean the bathroom again because it was too dirty, the lady only went in for 2 minutes and then left. Very dirty shower cabin, dirty toilet, hair on the floor. We stayed for 6 days and received nothing, the towels were not changed, we did not receive extra toilet paper, the garbage was not taken for a week. The cleaning lady deserves a minimum score. I will try to attach some pictures of the bathroom as I found it when I took the camera. We had to go to the store to buy cleaning products and clean the bathroom ourselves. There is never anyone at the reception, you have no one to talk to, I was only able to communicate with the owner through messages on booking. It should also be specified that there are many shoe workshops in the area and there is a lot of noise. But this is not the owner's fault, instead, the cleanliness is. The accommodation is very nice, too bad it is not clean.

• Bronte (8/5): Very good - Good location, very pretty, comfy bed The bathroom doesn’t have ventilation and wasn’t cleaned properly so it can get pretty smelly - make sure to leave the door open when you’re out so it can air out

• Sara (7/5): NICE 5 NIGHTS STAYING - Great location, in the heart of Faith and just 10 minutes away from the Blue Mosque and other landmarks. Very spacious room and nice inside wooden architecture, bid bed and very flexible with check in and check out timing. I was a bit disappointed because no one came in 5 days to clean our room, I know it was kind of more an apartment style than a hotel but still. The reception guy was very nice and provided us everything we needed anyway even without speaking in English. The outside is quite old and not easy to find in my opinion, we had to ask a few times to get there but the location is great. I would recommend if you don’t have the highest expectations but still want a nice place.

• Tadej (1/5): Book somewhere else and don't waste your time here. - Near city centre. We didn't get what we reserved via booking - room with balcony. Host put us in another, worse room, although we paid about 30% more for room with balcony in upper floor. After arrival to this hotel, we immediatelly notified host about his mistake, he answered, that our reserved room is already booked and other clients are sleeping there, also, he promised to move us there next day. We accepted that and understood the host. Next day in the evening we asked him if the room is ready, he apologised again and answered that it will be ready tommorow. It was the same story for next 2 days, then I simply gave up, as I realised it will never happen... We stayed in worse room for rest of our vacation in Istanbul. What I didn't understand is, that there were other guests leaving, coming and staying in those room(s), which we paid for during our stay in this "hotel". So, to conclude, there indeed was free space for us, but he put other clients in those better rooms instead. In fact, this is not really "hotel" - it is just old smaller house in old city centre of Istanbul. It's just pure a scam to call this type of building a "hotel". Later I asked host to give us partial refund (about 30%, the extra difference, which we paid for better room with balcony). Host replied he will do that in next days. I asked again and again... Multiple times, I even reached to Booking customer service at the end, and after that once again to host. He never gave us our money back!!! This story is going on for more than 2 months now and I gave up once again and consequently I'll leave negative review here to warn other peope, who want to do reservation in this "hotel". I don't want to lose any more time with this host. Also, other disadvantages: - Host doesn't speak english at all, it's extremely hard to communicate without telephone and google translator with him. - Location is very noisy.
