Rime (6/5): Excellent hotel location and decent room - I stayed three nights at the hotel. The room was decent and comfy, friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent location only 3 min walk from Taksim Square. Very central with shops and restaurants at only walking distance. Close to main transportations. However I couldn’t sleep at all because the room was not soundproof and you could hear the noise from street cars, live music coming from nearby bars and restaurants as well as the drunk people. I will definitely recommend it to whoever is not bothered by the night noise!
Aamena (2/5): - The hotel was very dirty and did not come to clean the room or take trash except two times. We stayed there for 12 nights. I would love to upload pictures so you could see there’s no options here available.
marco (6/5): - They threw away my new shoes that I had forgotten. A professional hotel would have waited at least a day. By the evening, it was too late. Strange! The reception staff is really great and were not informed of my shoes. Comfortable beds but the bathroom is really too small. No lights on the balcony.
Jakob Nils (6/5): - The stay was okay. The ratings from other users had been very good, that’s why we have chosen this but we can’t confirm. The location is next to Taksim, it is very central but very noisy the whole night until 5am. The reception is friendly and helpful. That have been the positive points for us. The room itself is very small and the furniture is already a bit broken (window not soundproof). The house smelled 24/7 like cigarettes and it also came into the room because of broken door. The cleaning of the room took place just twice a week. In two weeks we didn’t receive new towels. There was no possibility to order room service. Missing articles had to organise ourselves like new towels and toilet paper. You should check bathroom before entering. We found a big brown cockroach in it.

Ashkhan was very helpful, kind and welcoming from day one becoming best friends with our daughter, helping us up the stairs, always answering our questions and he spoke English and did everything possible to make our stay amazing. The owner Abdulrahim made us feel like a part of the family, he treated our children as if they were his family and was so kind and helpful with everything we needed. Ashkhan and Abdulrahim arranged a day trip for us to see some lovely sights on a boat in the Europe and Asia part, and Ashkhan and the night staff arranged our hotel transfer back to the airport for our last day. We felt so at home we are sad to have left. The owners (abdulrahims) sister treated our daughter as if she were her own, meaning we were able to have a few moments as parents to breathe, relax and get ourselves sorted after a long day or drink some tea. Emma was so lovely, and I know my daughter will miss her a lot! Takism square is right outside your door, with the tram, metro, busses and boats so easy to get to. It was the perfect place to stay! We had the top room on the 5th floor, and despite no lift I honestly loved it. The balcony meant we could see so much of Istanbul, we had 2 pull out beds and a bed for us. A kitionette and a washing machine, and a bathroom with a lovely walk in shower that I’m sad to be leaving. I have never felt more at home than I did when staying at Apollo hotel.

Junaid (9/5): Nice and clean place to live - very close to Taksim Square - The location was fantastic. You walk hardly 2-3 minutes and you are on Taksim Square. Good place for families. The staff at reception was very helpful and friendly. Always ready for help and advise. A special thanks to Ashkan and Yaseen. Very nice staff at reception. :) Hotel cleaning was done everyday which was very nice. No elevator. :(

Fouzia (2/5): - The property was very dirty and the maintenance was horrible, my family and I were on the 3rd floor and ceiling on the stairs was leaking! Going down of the stairs was a nightmare, tiny stairs with leaks. They wouldn’t clean rooms, unless they were asked to do so. My overall experience was extremely poor at the Apolo hotel 😞

Verified traveler (4/5): False information- watch out - When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were attentive. Location was ideal, however, the following have overweight everything else: 1. They asked us to pay additional money as the tax was not included according to hotel staff which was not the case. We had no choice as it was late and we had two children therefore we paid. 2. Gave us a totally wrong room, much smaller, a double room instead of a suit for four people- went back when they said they made an error which they will correct the next day but the payment cannot be negotiated. 3. The room they provided was on 5th floor with no lift and a very narrow stairs. 4. The first night, had no water supply at all- not even to flash the toilet. They said it’s not their fault as the water pipe is damages. 5. Room had a gas cooker which was out of use. They said it does not work. 6. Had a washing machine- again out of use. 7. TV - did not work. The final day we booked a taxi for airport for 10:30am through hotel service, at 10:45am they still said the taxi will arrive within an hour. Had to rush and get an external taxi, otherwise, we would have missed our flight. I would not consider this apparent again.

Samira (10/5): - It was an amazing trip from the hotel’s homely vibe to the lovely staff. The 3 men working in the front desk Ashkar, Ali, and Barsh. And do not forget the owner Mr Abederahim. The staff was extremely helpful in giving a hand to our family in lifting our luggages , making us feel welcomed with tea and coffee, and making sure we have our transportation to and from the airport. The room is spacious and pretty clean. If I could give one piece of advice it would be the lengthy staircase and the hotel has a total of 5 floors. But for an affordable, family-friendly, and refreshing experience I recommend this hotel. (I even recommend it to all my friends) .

Isa (6/5): - Wir hatten einen Zimmer gebucht, bei unseren Ankunft wurde uns gesagt das unsere gebuchte Zimmer besetzt ist dann wurden in 5 stock ohne LIFT Versetzt und das wir am nächsten Tag unsere gebuchte Zimmer bekommen, wir wurde was nicht der fall war, jeden tag wurden wir getröstet und 2 tage vor der anreise meinte er Manager das es nicht mehr rentiert zu wechseln, ich fande er war nicht professionell und jeden tag bis am 5 stock zu laufen ohne lift war hardcore sport.

Nedim (6/5): - Som det eneste minus kan jeg navne larm udefra, men det er jo stor by. Ejeren krævede at jeg skulle betale mere for dreng som var med, som vi selvfølgelig ikke gjorde da vi har bestil og betalt i forvejen. Ellers flink og Englisk talende personale.
Verified traveler (10/5): A nice hotel - The location is quiet and convenient. Walking distance to Taksim Square and airport shuttle station. Staff is nice and helpful. The room is spacious and clean, but the toilet/bathroom lacks hangers or space to place the clothes. Some facilities (e.g. electric water pot) are old and need replacement. There is no lift, and carrying heavy baggages to the upper floor is a challenge. Overall, the accommodation experience in this hotel is very good.

Vijinder (10/5): Very nice experience. Amir is excellent & extremely helpful. Also, the owner is also very courteous. - The room was good with all the facilities. Each electrical equipment is operated with remote. Even the room lights are operated by a remote. The room has enough vanity area. Bathrooms are clean. Linen and towels are changed everyday. There are two paid parking slots at a distance of 20 feet from the hotel. It is centrally located at Taksim Square. The most popular market of Istanbul Istiklal Street is only 2.5 minutes walking distance. Reception staff is excellent. I cant complete my review without mentioning the name of Mr Amir, who works at the reception and is an unforgettable man due to his helping and courteous nature. The owner of the hotel is available during the day to listen to any demands of the guests. Tea and coffee is served free to the guests as a courtesy. Everything was good.

Paul (10/5): Great value, very friendly, and well located - Stayed here with a group of 6 friends for a 5 day trip to Instanbul for a mix of culture and socialising. Apollo Hotel was perfect for our needs. It’s superbly well located near Taksim Sq & St so great for bars but also easy to get into the old town via public transport. The hotel itself is amazing value, and we were all very happy with our rooms. Staff were very helpful, especially Amir, and could not do enough to make our stay more pleasant & fun. Definitely recommended and will visit again.

Preeti (8/5): Definitely go here if you want to be served with a smile - The room was nice and clean, with the required toiletries, towels & room slippers (which you often don't find in this range of hotels these days). What was really good was the friendly staff who were ready to help you at late night - when my room's WiFi went down. the night manager called a colleague, who came in happily to help. one window of the room wouldn't close and the entrance door handle was broken, which didn't not affect me much, as i could open the door with the keys. I also noticed some water logging after taking the shower
mohammed (10/5): Best hotel in Taksim. - The Appollo is in central location of Taksim, close to everything. The hotel is probably the best I have stayed in istanbul. It’s very clean and comfortable and easy access to many shops, Metro, restaurants and money exchanges. The view from from my room was awesome. The staff is extremely polite, kind helpful and respectful. The price is reasonable and overall the best hotel in Taksim.
