- Irina (9/5): - This was my second stay at the hotel. Had no doubts in returning and did not regret. Great location. Convenient to Taksim and Istiklal. Many cafes and restaurants close by. I you are ok walking can walk to most places of interest past the Galata Tower and across the bridge and through Spice bazar. Super friendly and helpful staff! Will be happy to return. This time was not so fresh after the renovation as was in 2024. But all clean and functioning fine.

- Amie (5/5): Not the quietest but okay. - The room itself is spacious. Bed is comfortable and there is plenty of room for suitcases. Shower has very low water pressure. Looks new but overhead shower head doesnt seem to work so hand held shower head was my only option. The biggest issue was the noise. Tables and chairs being dragged around (from the cafe below or a room above or both) on both nights of my stay at 1 or 2am in the morning as well as being directly across from emergency hospital department so large groups gathering to smoke all night or motorbikes dwlivering food. The amount of orange light streaming into the room did make it feel like daylight. If you are a light sleeper or need it to be dark, then be aware. The hospital is outside of owners control but noise from cafe will happen every night at closing time I imagine.

- Kaptan (2/5): Overall: misleading information, unsafe conditions, poor maintenance, and very bad service. - The only positive experience was Mr. Ömer from the night shift. He is polite, kind, extremely helpful, and truly understands hospitality. He is the only reason I am giving 2 out of 10 instead of 0. Our stay was extremely unpleasant from the moment we arrived. First of all, there is no elevator, and we were not informed in advance. Carrying luggage upstairs was very difficult, especially because the stairs are poorly designed, unsafe, and not ergonomic at all. They do not meet normal safety standards and feel genuinely dangerous. The hotel advertises a “city view”, but this is completely misleading. The room faces a hospital, with constant noise day and night. The location is also very bad unless you enjoy walking up a very steep hill every time you leave or return. They also claim to have soundproof rooms, which is absolutely not true. You can hear people talking, walking, and moving in other rooms very clearly. The rooms are much smaller than shown in the photos, making them feel cramped and uncomfortable. The room itself had many issues: -The TV remote control was not working (dead batteries). -The sink in the room was not connected to the water. -The bathroom sink was broken and could not open or close properly. -The toilet was loose and shaking, honestly feeling like it might break while using it. And, bidet nozzle is not working. -No iron in the room, despite being listed as available. -Daily cleaning service never came, even though it is clearly stated on their Booking.com profile. The morning staff were rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. One staff member even asked us for extra money in a very strange way because there was a small coffee stain on the bed linen due to an accident. He insisted we pay for new linen. I told him to contact Booking.com, and if they found it reasonable, I would pay — but linen cleaning is part of a hotel’s responsibility.

- joanna (6/5): - Cerca de la plaza Taksim con muchas opciones de transporte publico que llevan a todos los sitios de interés en Estambul El acceso a las habitaciones se efectúa mediante una escalera de caracol super estrecha. Subir y bajar con las maletas es bastante complicado y no dispone del ascensor. La habitación es muy pequeña. Estuve con mi pareja y apenas teníamos sitio para dejar las cosas. Y el cuarto de baño minúsculo. Prácticamente no queda espacio entre el inodoro y la pared así que hay que hacer malabares para poder usarlo. En general el baño es muy poco práctico, casi no hay espacio para poder moverse dentro.

- Hamedh (8/5): - Pros: The room was clean, the staff were friendly, the shower was very strong and the water was warm enough even though I was at the highest floor, overall it felt like a cosy house which is belong to your cousin!! Cons: It had a good location but not a perfect one, because of two reasons: its way was so steepy (usual in İstanbul!) and it was in front of taksim hospital which caused some big noises sometimes, the house is an old yet renewed one, it has a long and so narrow stairs and had no elevator which might make it hard for elder to stay there, the room had no great facilities just a tv and beds and air conditioner and the empty bridge!, the hotel gives you breakfast but you have to order it and pay the cost separately. All and all it was a good stay for me.

L'emplacement est globalement bon dans le quartier, mais l'hôtel se trouve juste en face d'un hôpital. Nous avons été déçus par la note moyenne de 9,1 : - L’emplacement, en face d’un hôpital d’urgence, rend l’endroit bruyant. - Le fait que ce soit aussi un café ajoute du bruit, notamment à cause de la musique d’ambiance. - Le principal problème concerne la salle de bains, beaucoup trop petite : mes jambes ne rentraient pas sur la toilet, le débit de la douche était faible. - Le rideau laisse passer la lumière, la chambre n’est donc pas complètement sombre.

- Antonios (1/5): Awfull experience - Very good breakfast The hotel claims the walls are soundproof, but the doors and windows are not. Being next to a hospital emergency entrance made sleeping very difficult, and both mornings we were woken by a garbage truck running for over 30 minutes. There was also loud music inside the hotel—around three songs playing on repeat—which we could hear clearly from the first floor. The bathroom is extremely small, the door hits the bed, and several elements in the room are rusty or worn. There is even a piece of furniture with an unconnected faucet taking up unnecessary space. When we asked to leave our luggage after checkout, we were told there is no reception because the hotel operates as a cafeteria. Instead, we were offered to store our bags in a “nearby warehouse” for €15, but the staff could not provide a name or phone number. Given that another hotel called Elegance is right behind the building, it felt like an attempt to mislead us.

- Darya (8/5): It was a very nice stay! - Room was very small, but clean Owner is super friendly, helped with suitcases up the stairs Amazing location - lively district, everything you might need is very close, fantastic restaurants nearby, close to popular attractions and transportation. That said, you are going to be staying right across the ambulance reception. If you like medical tv shows or just are a curious person It might be entertaining! They see you too, so you might want to use curtains to avoid uncomfortable interactions. If you’re a light sleeper, prepare accordingly. Surprisingly, most of the noise wasn’t produced by ambulance sirens, but by the people partying nearby. (We slept fine though, the windows are great!). Make sure to contact owner through whatsapp if you need anything - we were told that they don’t usually check messages on booking. Also, don’t expect to leave your luggage there after your checkout - it’s basically a cafe, so it doesn’t have the room for it.

- Eugene (2/5): This place is not for sleeping - While this is actually a coffee shop with a few rooms upstairs. So the coffee and cakes were good as well as traditional breakfast in the morning. Friendly welcome by one guy, who seems to do everything. Helped with the luggage while I was managing steep spiral staircase as there was no elevator. So this "adventure staircase" is not for everyone and certainly not for elderly or young children. Never mind, if you fall, an emergency department of a major hospital is right opposite!! Sounds of sirens, screams, fights?, tasers?, ... you name it. Impossible to sleep even with closed windows. Music and loud conversations were going on downstairs till midnight or so. ... and I am not winging about other little things that usually come up as big deals in other reviews.

- Behzad (10/5): If you want to be in the heart of the city and stay at the best spot, this is the place. - It’s a family-run business in a very safe and secure place, located right in the heart of the city’s most lively and vibrant district. At the same time, it’s just a few steps away from the hustle and bustle, so it’s quieter. Don’t worry about parking, there’s a parking lot just a few steps away, and it costs 1,000 lira per night. The place is very clean and nice. Hot water, air conditioning that lets you control the room temperature, and a clean, newly renovated environment and being very safe are main features of the place. Maybe the only downside is the access — the stairs are a bit tricky when it comes to carrying luggage. If there’s a man around, he’ll help you with that, but if not, well, that’s just how it is. The area has very strict construction regulations, so the place has been renovated within those limits — there really wasn’t any other option. The rooms might also be a bit small, but again, that’s due to the traditional urban layout of the neighborhood. You just have to embrace it and enjoy its unique charm.

Если у вас есть ограничения по здоровью, будет тяжело подниматься. Не хватало полочек и крючков в ванне. Ванна достаточно маленькая. - Katherine (10/5): I would stay again hands down. - Omar is incredibly lovely. I arrived exhausted and frazzled, and he checked me in and chatted with me. The room was incredibly comfortable, and when I needed to stay longer it was easy to extend my time. I had an issue with my Airbnb fall through and he even helped to arrange me a longer term stay with a kitchen. Couldn't have been kinder, warmer or more welcoming. Nothing.
- Eric (5/5): - The location is good and the air conditioning works well. The staff is very friendly, which makes it hard to leave a critical review, but I think it’s important to have accurate ratings. We felt misled by high ratings for this hotel. The bed was very hard and the base was broken in the middle. The bed sagged/folded into the middle, which was very uncomfortable and our backs hurt in the morning. We asked the staff if we could change rooms or cancel the reservation for the remaining 2 nights and they said there was nothing they could do besides flipping the mattress so it was even harder. The WiFi was very unstable, and the space is not suitable for remote work. The shower had weird staining on the floor which looked like someone had partially scrubbed it with bleach. It felt unclean so I wanted to shower with sandals on. I think this place would be ok for a single night or for a single person, but I don’t recommend booking for several nights like we did.

- Bekmez (9/5): - A budget-friendly hotel. The staff are very kind and helpful, and they were especially supportive when my friend had a health issue. They really make you feel comfortable. I especially recommend it if you are solo traveler, it felt safe. The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit small
- Aimira (10/5): - The hotel has a very convenient location. The staff are incredibly pleasant — friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They made me feel as if I was meeting old friends I hadn’t seen for a long time. They even helped me with my luggage both on arrival and departure. Always greeted me with a smile and asked if everything was fine. The room was bright, clean, and modern. It had a fresh scent, spotless white bed linen and towels, and all the amenities worked perfectly — shower, hair dryer, air conditioner, and fridge. I truly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality!
- Ahmet (1/5): my worst expérience in istanbul - The worst stay l've ever had in Istanbul. After 5 months living here, this is the only truly bad experience I've had. Bed bugs, dirty sheets, and rude service. When I asked to leave my suitcase for just 2-3 hours, they demanded 15 euros and almost mocked me. Stay away from this hotel l honestly think most of the good reviews are fake l’emplacement
- Shuldyakova (9/5): - Очень приятный и вежливый персонал, всё, что не попросишь, сразу помогали и делали🙌🏻 Расположение в центре прям, туристическая зона, не самая приятная, зато в любую точку Стамбула легко добираться Персонал ещё помог поднять чемоданы на верх, так как там нет лифта, что тоже приятно:) За окном шумно, берите беруши, но это проблема старых зданий в общем, и не только в Турции А еще опасная лестница, просто рекомендую быть осторожными, чтобы не навернуться

- Seryn (10/5): Great stay in heart of city - The staff are very welcoming and making you feel relaxed and at home and safe as a solo traveler. Very good location, close to everything. And heaps of cool little cafes and bars around, but nestle away from the crazy busy. Highly recommend.

- Talitha (7/5): Friendly staff, good value for money - The staff were very friendly. The location is perfect, in a quiet street very close to Taksim square and the shops. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly.It's not exactly a hotel, more like a hostel, although the rooms are single occupancy. It doesn't have a lift and for those travelling with large suitcases, this can be a problem (but the guys at reception were very kind and helped me carry my suitcase). There were two weak points: the rubbish in the bathroom was only taken out after I asked for it and the towels weren't changed once. In other words: if I hadn't asked for the room to be cleaned, it wouldn't have been done. There was a water outage in the area around the hotel and there was no reserve water tank. I had to stay without a shower after a hot summer's day in Istanbul. The hotel provided a bottle of water for me, but there was no plan B in the hotel for such a situation.

- Ahmed (10/5): All good ! - Location is amazing — right near everything you need. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and well-kept. It’s quiet at night, the beds are comfortable, and the Wi-Fi works well. Great value for money overall. Would definitely stay here again. Room #4: The bathroom is very small — the toilet seat is just about 20 cm from the wall. If you’re over 180 cm tall, it’s worth checking whether this layout applies to all rooms or just Room #4. The stairs could also be tricky if you’re traveling with small children. None of these points affected my stay, but they’re worth noting if you’re considering this place.
