The room and bathroom were all the time very clean. All the amenities were there to make our stay pleasant. The hotel has a rooftop bar which is really amazing . - MisterWMW (10/5): Exceptional Well and Incredible Stay - Staff: The main reason to come back to stay again! At the check-in and out, (the same lady with long hair), her smile and smooth process has made you feel welcome and professional. At the lobby, KEY and NORM? (NUNG? a tall medium build middle aged man), both provided a step further helpful services with genuine smile and politeness. The cleaning lady (a very small build lady) will greet you every time with a very lovely smile, a pleasant start of your journey each day once you are out from your room. The night time security (a small build middle aged, able to speak Chinese), very polite as well and at one time, he carried a drunk occupant upstairs which he doesn't have to but he did it and with no despise. The services provided here is exceptional well and thank you the team in Mercure Bangkok Surawong for providing the incredible stay. General: Room is very clean and spacious enough, bed is comfy, basic tea/coffee/bottled water provided. Water pressure is a general problem in Thailand, maybe de-limescale more often with the shower head in the future. Location: 15 mins walking distance to nearest BTS station. Calling Grab to centralwOrld only takes 10 mins (avg. 130 baht) providing no traffic at all (after 11.30pm, daytime would be very different) Facilities: if it's built with a pool from the beginning, it would be perfect, but no complaint at all.

The rooms are stylish, clean and well-equipped, offering a peaceful retreat after exploring they city's live streets. The breakfast spread was delightful and the staff were genuinely warm and attentive. A special mention to the hotel's excellent location - close to restaurants - can get halal restaurants, shopping at Silom Street. It's about 10 mins walk from the hotel or if you're lazy to walk may take the hotel shuttle. It's free of charge but you're required to inform the reception 30 mins in advance. And also Airport Rail Link to Phayathai Station, then transfer to BTS Skytrain to Chong Nonsi Station, just a short walk away from the hotel. This hotel is perfect for both business and leisure travellers who value convenience and comfort. My heartfelt thank you to Khun Bella (Front Office Manager) and Khun Tik (Cluster Director Of Sales) for their hospitality and personal attention. My appreciation also goes to all the wonderful staff for their warm smiles and excellent service. You made my stay truly memorable.

The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of variety and fresh options. Location was perfect — close to local attractions but still peaceful. - asialoverR (10/5): Very good place to stay - I stayed at Mercure Surawong twice during my Thailand trip, I booked both stays using a third-party as I couldn’t get a decent price using Accor website. During both stays , all the stuff especially Ms. Pin who was always very pleasant with a genuine smile on her face. During the first stay, I was allocated a room on the 10th floor that overlooked a derelict building , the room was noisy and the staff provided me with earplugs which helped me to sleep. While the hotel is located on a very busy street it’s not close to any BTS or Metro stops but I don’t mind the walk and I know the area well from previous visits but it might not suit others . Also the hotel provides tuk tuk almost every hour that goes to the BTS station which can be helpful if you adjust your times around it . I found the rooms to be on the smaller side, but have been recently renovated and very well maintained . Mr.Noom, the Concierge was really helpful and doing multi tasks, driving the tuk tuk, helping with the luggage, few times he gave me good tips, he always had a smile on his face and was always looking to help. I had a breakfast only once and it was ok. I’ve no regrets booking this hotel and would stay here again if offered a good rate as it’s a solid four star. The hotel has no swimming pool so if traveling with my family I would look for a hotel with a swimming pool.

- wirawatt2024 (10/5): !! Delicious Yu Her Bao !!! - Tried Yu Her Bao recently and was really impressed. The dumplings were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the service was friendly and quick. Great quality for the price — definitely a spot I’d recommend and visit again.
- Emmalouisemcg (10/5): Reception - Both of the receptionists Tong and Taro were beyond welcoming when I arrived, the greeted me with a huge smile. They asked if I had any preferences for them to consider, when I mentioned in a light sleeper and I’d appreciate a quiet room on a high floor, the jumped straight into action to choose the best room for me, they even upgraded my suite to make sure I’m comfortable, this is above and beyond expectations and I really appreciate it.

- sawadee_1 (2/5): Platinum Member Treated Like a Nuisance – Deeply Disappointing Stay - As an Accor Platinum member who stays with the group frequently, I had reasonable expectations for my stay at Mercure Bangkok Surawong. What I received was a lesson in how not to run a hotel. From the moment I checked in, things went downhill fast. I was woken from rest just hours after arrival by a phone call demanding immediate payment, despite booking terms that clearly allow payment on check-out. Staff made unauthorized attempts to charge my card, interrupted my stay, and when I requested to speak to a manager at 4 PM on a Monday, I was told—unbelievably—that no manager was available. Later, I discovered that a hotel event was indeed being held for management at the same time. So I was lied to. Staff were dismissive, poorly trained, and evasive. When I asked for names to escalate concerns, I was met with a shrug and evasiveness. Instead of owning the mistakes, the hotel chose to pass the blame onto “training” and offer excuses. After much back and forth, I was offered 5,000 Accor points—a symbolic gesture that hardly covers a single night at most of their hotels. I accepted it, not because it was fair, but because I was tired of dealing with a team that clearly doesn’t understand hospitality or accountability. This hotel is a shocking failure of the Accor brand, and I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere in Bangkok if you expect even basic professionalism.
- BillyGabriel (10/5): a great place to stay for a short business trip to Bangkok - stayed here for 3 nights during a business trip to Bangkok. with my Accor Gold Plus membership, I was given an upgrade to a larger corner room without even asking for it. the location of the hotel is on Surawong street and one of the reasons booking this hotel was its proximity to the Maha Nakhon tower and also the BTS station in front if this tower. the hotel is largely meant for business travelers, there is no swimming pool, no kids club whatsover, however if you're traveling with kids, they actually have a family room with bunk beds for kids. the location is 10-15 mins drive to the Chao Praya river and 10 mins walk to the BTS station in front of the Maha Nakhon tower. From there you can easily navigate Bangkok using BTS. The famous shopping area between MBK and Central World is only 2-3 stations away where you can find anything from grocery, affordable brands up to luxury items. Surawong street is home to many restaurant and cafes, all these places are walking distance from the hotel. All in all it was a pleasant stay and would consider myself in staying in this hotel again for any future business trip to Bangkok.

- WorldWideTravel88 (8/5): Nice But Small Rooms - This hotel is fairly new, opened about one year ago. There are clear positives and negatives about this hotel. The room looks very good, nice and modern, especially if comparing with other hotels in this price range which tend to be quite aging and not in good shape. However there is a compromise to make: the rooms are small. As Accor Diamond I was upgraded +2 room categories so my room type was not even the smallest, and yet it was not so easy to sneak between the bed and the wall; I had to be careful not to knock the TV. This hotel does not have suites if I am not mistaken which means that for people who care about having extra space, this is possibly not a good fit and even less so for Accor Platinum/Diamond who value upgrades (other hotels sometimes upgrade to suites upon availability). In addition there is no lounge so that's also a small negative for Accor Plat/Diamond guests who could have free access at other Mercure brand hotels in the city such as the one on Sukhumvit Soi 11 or Grand Mercure Atrium, although those hotels tend to be more expensive so that's fair.

- John (6/5): New Clean and comfy hotel but bad location - Overall it was a nice comfy stay Not close to transport Bad service and rip off charges from management. My young daughters both experienced food poisoning (from outside the hotel) and unfortunately became ill on their way to the bathroom, with some of it landing on the floor and the towels. We contacted reception for assistance, and the cleaning staff promptly arrived and cleaned the room. However, the following morning, I received a message stating that we would be charged a replacement fee of 600 baht per towel, totaling 1800 baht for the three towels. The manager was so rude when I questioned the charges. Trying to charge me twice there cost price for second hand towels that could easily be washed..

Greit hotell for 1-2 dager, men kommer nok til å velge noe annet når vi skal være lenger enn det. Bestilte og betalte for tidlig innsjekk kl.12, men det var ingen ledige rom så vi måtte vente. Greit nok. Fikk ikke rom før kl 14:45 og de beklagde det og oppgraderte oss til suite i toppetasjen. Litt stresset og dels uhøflig personale i resepsjonen. Frokosten var dårlig, lite utvalg og kun toast brød. Godt utvalg i thaimat for de som ønsker det til frokost. Fin beliggenhet med mange spisesteder i området. Lett og gå i området med brede fortau.

- Ubbe (6/5): Mercure Surawong jan 2025 - Nice Mercure hotel in Surawong Bangkok. Rooms small but good used spaces. Sink and doors to WC and shower directly from room and that is not my cup of tea. Clean rooms. Bad: Door to balcony could bee a little more soundproof. A lot of trafic noises. No pool at hotel. Restaurant beside the lobby is open or maybee not? One evening we could order something to eat and a glas of wine, the next evening when we try to order some wine they send us to rooftoop. "No have"... What about welcome drinks, Welcome amenities? In room 3 Macarones and a welcome letter. Welcome drinks at Rooftop bar were softdrinks, wine or some cocktails from a list. I will not return mostly for "No Pool" but there are other places in this city I prefer before Surawong.

She will be remembered as an angel of Bangkok for me. The quality of the room conditions are also absolutely clean and well managed.

- ShaunScotland (10/5): Stayed over New Year and saw fireworks from balcony - Super funky hotel with excellent open views across south Bangkok. Our room had a balcony where we could sit outside and enjoy night views. Our room was super cool, so much design features. Most excellent sleep was had by us. We could not hear the roof top bar which had the New Years party. Only issue was booking in quite a lot of going back and fore about payments and different responses from different people. But overall very nice place, and easy to get about. Unusual style of hotel and well worth a visit.
- clarespenner (10/5): Amazing hotel - This is a great hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. It's modern and clean, has extremely comfortable beds and does a delicious breakfast buffet. And the rooftop bar is lovely. Plus the staff are all super-friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again next time we're in Bangkok.

All staffs speak English fluently. It makes easy to communicate. The location is also conveninent to go around for eating, shopping

When I called to reservation team to check the booking they are nice and advise me how to book and the benefits for our membership. The breakfast is every good and nice service from staff.

However, when you take a moment to really look at it, the facilities themselves are actually rather outdated and quite worn. The bathroom specifically had serious water damage on the ceilings next to windows that showed excessive mildew/mold. Furthermore, the shower/tub didn’t have a proper outside drain for when the water accumulated on the ledge of the tub and spilling onto the floor, completely soaking the floor may. In general the room itself was spacious enough for two people but the swing doors to the toilet is lacking in privacy. Aside from that the property does not have a gym/fitness room and the breakfast was unappealing. For a short one day stay or transient stay I would use it. But not for an extended holiday.
