The condominium (central) heating will work on a schedule, as imposed by Italian law, and heating cannot be adjusted. The schedule will operate as follows: 6 AM to 9 AM, 12 PM to 2 PM, and 8 PM to 11 PM.
The highest temperature allowed by Italian law for the residential sector is 19 degrees Celsius for all thermostats, both central and autonomous heating.

- Zentient (8/5): Decent, fully-equipped, one-room studio, fairly well located; slightly pricey, needs better cleaning - The location is good: it’s somewhat centrally located and right next to Milano Dateo subway station, so you can get to most places in Milan quickly. The building itself is pleasant, quiet, and civilized. The street is a bit noisy from traffic if you have to open the windows, but you have air-conditioning if you need to use it (I only had to once). I didn’t have to use the AC much because the windows are North facing, so closing them during the hot days and opening them at night worked well enough. The neighborhood is also fairly quiet and safe (aside from the traffic), and all the amenities are nearby as well as a number of decent places for lunch, dinner, and, of course, aperitivo. I might stay here again depending on the price and whether they address the one negative point (cleaning needs to be improved). NB: there is a small clothes washing machine (as well as iron and board), which isn’t clear from the description. Aside from the value-for-money, which was disappointing but not hugely outrageous for Milan, the main thing that needs to be addressed is the cleaning. Whoever cleaned it did the absolute minimum. I think they only cleaned the toilet, shower, and vacuum cleaned the middle of the room (not even the large rug in the middle). The place needs a thorough cleaning. It wasn’t awful, but they didn’t bother to do easy cleaning: there were still fake eyelashes stuck to the towel-rail for heaven’s sake! And there are splatters in various places of food remains in the kitchen that could have been removed with a simple wipe. There was also plenty of tufts of dust around the edges of all the rooms. A minor point, but one knows this when booking, is that the only bed is a fold-out sofa: it slept well enough, but you can’t use the sofa unless you want to fold and unfold the bed every day.
