Guest Reviews
- Christian (10/5): - Perfect spot with everything you could need.

- Franka (1/5): Auf keinen Fall buchen!

- Pier Luigi (9/5): Bellissimo soggiorno - Posizione, pulizia, assistenza
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect apartment in an amazing location - This apartment is in an amazing location and has everything you could need!
Communication & check in was easy & we were met at the property and shown around.
The apartment is clean, bright and comfortable. For such a central location, it is quiet for relaxing and sleeping.
The kitchen is well equipped.
The shower is lovely and invigorating.
We didn't use the outside space as we were out most of the time but it is great to have the option.
And the view from the window is AMAZING! The Arno, Vasari corridor, Ponte Vecchio... Bellissimo! The ONLY thing I would say is that it would be useful to have a couple of hooks in the bathroom, especially by the shower for hanging a towel on.
- Alexander (10/5): - Excelente servicio ! 100% A+
- Jan (9/5): Enjoyed our stay - Location was very nice
The shades were nice and the noise was blocked out very well considering it location on a main street and all the people
Kitchen was good except for comment below
Easy walk to the grocery store The kitchen had induction instructions in the drawer but not easily found and I’ve never used one before so I didn’t think there was any way to use the pots and pans but we did figure it out eventually but there was only one induction plate to work with the pots and pans when it was a four burner stove and we do cook when we stay an apartment with the kitchen
The couch really wasn’t very comfortable and it’s kind of a pain to use as a bed
- Karaoglan (10/5): Great location next to Ponte Vecchio - Location
Clean
Good wifi
Friendly staff Wifi could be better at the bedroom
- Andrea (9/5): Best location in Florence, nice appartment. -

- Nadia (10/5): Amazing modern property, walking distance to everything and right next to Ponte Vecchio - Everything! Amazing location, over looking Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River. Walking distance everything and the apartment is very modern, well kept and felt like home.
We will definitely be recommending Vasari Suites to all our family and friends and we will define be returning to Florence and staying here again. NA
- Kate (7/5): - Liked the central location to everything.
Although 100's of people walking outside our door, very quiet inside.
The apartment was very well stocked. Bedroom very small. Had to use living room cupboards for some of our clothes.
Bathroom shower very small. Didn't have room to close the door. Had to put shampoos and soap on floor.
- Jose (9/5): - Location was unbeatable The A/C was not working properly. It wasn’t cool enough and the sofabed was a little bit uncomfortable. For the rest, everything was perfect
- Emre (10/5): -
- Phil (8/5): Very good -
- Craig (10/5): - Great location right at the end of Ponte Vecchio
Hundreds of dining options all within 5 minutes. In fact everything seems like it was only a 5 minute walk away
- Markéta (8/5): Very good - Nice location, close to every site. Spacious kitchen, nice terrace (for summer stays) , a perfect view from the dining table. Very noisy neigbours at night, contruction workers in the building since early mornings.
Cheap appliance (hairdryer, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker with broken lid). Just 2 dishwasher tablets for 5 days stay. Uncomftable bed in the livingroom.
- Bandar (9/5): Superb - View
- Evgeny (7/5): Is beautiful, but I wouldn't rent it again - Perfect location, amazing view from the window. The apartment has everything you need This is the first time I have encountered such complicated documentation when moving in. They also take a deposit of 250 euros in case you break something in the apartment.
(10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent -
- Ferdinand (10/5): Best place to stay at Florence - We had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful apartment located right at Ponte Vecchio, and I can't recommend it enough. The location is unbeatable—being directly at Ponte Vecchio meant that I was right in the heart of Florence, with the Uffizi Gallery just a 2-minute walk away.
The apartment itself was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, with all the extras you could wish for to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy living areas, everything was designed with convenience in mind. The attention to detail truly made it feel like a home away from home. All in all the apartment was the perfect base for exploring Florence, Pisa and Lucca.
- Caroline (10/5): - Location! Location! Location! Literally right by Ponte Vecchio. Minutes-walk to the Uffizi, shopping and restaurants.
The staff were friendly and communicative. I'd book it again.
- Ave (3/5): Poor - location is good There were major problems in receiving the keys to the accommodation, no decent communication in the same day, host didn't arrive before 19, I had to wait behind the doors for more than 15 min. Apartment smells
- Grace (9/5): Amazing location with a great view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio - AMAZING location. Absolutely AMAZING. We could see Ponte Vecchio from the living/dining room window. It was so great. The apartment was good, though the bed in the main room felt quite small, so we put our 7-year-old daughters in that room and we took the sofa bed. It was handy to have a washing machine, dishwasher and a full kitchen. The terrace was also a great bit of extra space that my husband used to store his bicycle. Strangely we were not supplied with body soap so we had to go and buy some, which I found weird. We were supplied dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets and laundry powder - but no body or hand wash. I wonder if it was just an oversight. The location could not be better. So central and amazing view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio. We loved it. No hand or body soap supplied. Not having keys for the window locks. Even though I was warned about this when I checked in, my husband was not there at the time and joined me later - but I forgot to pass that detail onto him. So when he went to close the windows - he locked them and we could not open them for the remainder of our stay. Another thing is that the listing stated blockout blinds, which were on the windows facing the river. However there were no window coverings to the window that faced the terrace, so the light came in early. I would only be indicating blockout blinds if ALL the windows had covering. Installing a roller blind on the door that leads to the terrace would easily fix this.
- Amy (7/5): Great location - Fantastic location literally at the end of the Ponte Vecchio. Nice large space with a pretty recently refurbished bath. Last minute issue with the pre planned time to get the keys caused unnecessary stress and was a bit unprofessional.
Not pleased with the cleanliness, among other items there was what looked to very clearly be a blood stain on the comforter for the bed! Unit does not smell great, but we were told it is because of proximity to the river
Required to take out our own trash, yet a $100 Euro cleaning fee?
Be aware - description says a lift but there is approximately 1 flight of stairs you must climb to access it
- Kamber (10/5): Clean, good view, good location, easy access to everywhere -
- Sopio (8/5): Very good -
- Widodo (10/5): Best Review To Ever Existq - I liked how it was close to everything like restaurants, gift shops, sight seeing areas and it was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend to others and come back again. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
- Miryam (1/5): Bad -
- Elizabeth (5/5): Good location if you can deal with the short comings - Location is amazing. Big apartment with a lot of space. The smell is overwhelming. I read about it in other reviews and while i understand the apartment is right on the water the hallway to the building doesn’t smell that way and neither does the outside.. it’s a putrid smell. There were no coffee filters, no paper towels. There are stains on the walls. Nice big apartment with a great location but definitely needs updating and work. The communication is downright obnoxious. The amount of emails and texts i got from them regarding the property was too much.
- Robert (7/5): Florence - Location and comfort Company that runs it sends to many messages and emails. It's like never ending
Really to much
- Wayne (7/5): Good - The location was wonderful. Given how busy it always is at Ponte Vecchio, it was surprisingly quite in the suite. Found a nice place to buy groceries close by - just across the bridge, so went there a number of times to get food for the suite. The sofabed was very uncomfortable as a sofa and too small - even for 2 people so can't imagine if there were more that 2 staying in the suite. A small coffee table would have been nice as there is only one t.v. tray. Kitchen knives need to be replaced as they are very dull and almost impossible to cut with. It would have been nice to have more that one set of towels as the only way to dry them if you wash them is to hang them on a drying rack and hope that they dry before your next need of them.
- Teja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Wonderfully located in the heart of Florence. - The location was incredible. There is a smell of sewage in the warm months. This is typical for Florence and not the owners fault but it is present.
- Thiago (1/5): Lovely location, atrocious smell - Great location, very central, easy to walk around and good access to the SMN station The place stunk- absolutely, utterly, nose burning, stink. But it seems there was nothing they could do. Though I’m positive they could inform people upfront that they will have to deal with horrible sewer smell throughout their stay.
Their communication is the second very annoying point, they spammed me with messages, emails, texts. Repeating themselves on each communication.
Lastly, the internet had very low range within the apartment. There was no cellphone reception in the room nor any Wi-Fi connection. This could be an easy improvement.
- L (1/5): worse experience in disgusting putrid sewer wannabe apartment - the fellow who checked us in was helpful. would say location but when everything else is so bad it just doesn’t count in the positive. horrid putrid sewage smell overwhelming in apartment. given totally feeble excuse, Florence is medieval city, run the water. if that’s the solution ( it’s not) then why was water not running for enough time before arrival. Something is misplumbed ( or something dead in AC or washer,) But we live in a thousand year old city and this problem doesn’t exist. The gourmet restaurant in building attached has no such issue or would be out of business so it’s not a neighbourhood issue.
poor communication, torn screens, weak AC that doesn’t blow cold air but then it only sucks in sewage smell. So no relief from it. The worst hard as an uneven rock sofa, bedroom size of walk in closet. Black mold in bathroom.
poor communication with double sets of emails sent days later with vendor claiming just ignore it because it’s booking.com so totally confusing.
no assistance.
worst apartment ever but has good supplies in kitchen but who would want to cook and eat in that smell.
- Hozan (6/5): The location is great near everything. - Location The fact that they were about to not check me in because they sent me a website to pay a deposite but I used four cards and it gave me error (I paid total amount of my stay ) they didn’t help me and gave me two hours of headache and stress. I was so tired as I came from a long road trip with two small kids
- Christina (9/5): Great location - the location was amazing. literally right at the Ponte Vecchio and central to all the main points of interest. the beds were pretty comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. the space was good sized and the view was beautiful. the apartment has been renovated recently and was nice. the patio was basically unusable due to the sewer smell, although there’s not much to be done about that being as it’s a naturally occurring problem around this part of the city and there’s no ventilation and all of the building’s sewer pipes run down the walls inside the area. the nearest garbage drop is blocks away so you have to walk your garbage far to dispose of it. and if I wasn’t paying attention I would have been overcharged for the VAT tax because while I paid online I was still asked to pay the greeter…I had to insist that I already paid. you might feel nickel and dimed. the managing company is in the UK so there is not a whole lot of personal touch. the greeter was very nice but there’s no contact with a human once you’re left to the apartment. the managing staff were easy to reach through booking.com but as they are operating from far away we didn’t have the personal connection we would have liked.
- Khajorn (9/5): Superb -
- Lawrence (10/5): I had a wonderful stay in Florence and the apartment was wonderful. - The apartment was spacious and clean and in the perfect location. The complicated Wifi password to log on my laptop. No microwave to warm up leftovers.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Amazing location, good accommodation overall.
Great for one or two people. The kitchen is great - however a few more / different cups, glasses, plates would be good.
Bed comfortable, but sheets would be better fitted.
Courtyard was a little smelly and with the air-conditioning/ heating couldn't really be enjoyed. Sound and smells were off-putting.
Excellent bathroom - except that the sink plug didn't work.
Lighting in the lounge was too harsh.
WiFi seemed temperamental...
I couldn't find the information on recycling
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant apartment in an amazing location. Perfect service too
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tamara (7/5): A brilliant location with a couple of issues - The location - the apartment is situated right next to the Ponte Vecchio and 2 minutes from the Uffizzi gallery, which is truly exceptional. It also has a great view of the Arno, as well as the Vasari corridor and it has plenty of light in the living room. If you're looking for something right next to all of the main attractions, this is your apartment.
Despite the central location, we weren't bothered by any outside noise at night, because the bedroom isn't street oriented.
Size - the apartment is a great fit for two people (there were two of us).
Facilities - there is a washing machine, an iron, ironing board, drying rack and a hair dryer, most of which we used and they work great. There are also recycling bins. Be aware that you are expected to buy your own dishwasher tablets (there are none in the apartment), as well as additional dish cloths and trash bags. The arrival - there is a host with whom you communicate about the time of your arrival via Whatsapp. The check-in time is between 3PM and 7PM, after which you pay a fine (25 euros for arriving between 7 and 8 PM, and +10 euros for every additional hour). We arrived at 7:02PM (our deal was to arrive by 7) in front of the apartment, after 1 plane, 2 train rides and a 25min walk with the luggage, but since there was no host in front of the apartment, our phones went dead and there was no obvious signage on the street door bell for the apartment, we were stuck there for 10min, until the host came down from the apartment. We entered the apartment at about 7:15. Although we tried to explain what happened to the host, he didn't really understand English to that extent, so any type of a more sophisticated conversation was futile, but insisted we payed the twenty five euro fine. Which brings me to our next issue.
The host / staff - the host barely speaks English. I am still confused whether the host is there only to deliver the keys, or is he there in an expanded role. From the time we arrived to Florence untill 3min before we arrived in front of the building, he called us 3 times and sent a couple of messages, all the while warning us that we will pay a fine if we arrive after 7. We clearly stated our time of arrival and our location upon arrival and there was no need to bombard us with calls and messages of impending doom if we arrived later than stated. When we got to the apartment it was clear from his behavior that he was in a hurry to leave the apartment and most of our conversation revolved around the 25 euros.
So, if this person was there to deliver the keys, well done, but there are more sophisticated ways to do so, and without limiting us and fining us if we arrived 2 minutes after our agreement.
But, if this person is someone who is supposed to show some type of welcome to the apartment and the city, then there is a lot more effort to be desired.
- Bill (10/5): Great location - The location was great and the apartment had a river view. The welcoming staff were very helpful and the apartment was very clean.
- Paul (9/5): brilliant location for historical Firenze. Easy walking to all sights and plenty of fine food and drink. supermarket j - location superb! could do with a full length mirror
the smell
