For me I like the view of the city although the staff tried to upgrade my room for free but I requested a normal room for a better view. Staff are wonderful with the Thai smile as always. Rooms looks new with clean fresh smell to it, The break fast is all HALAL (حلال) chicken. I didn’t have time to visit other facilities but my room over looked a nice roof top swimming pool kind of medium sized. also the staff mentioned a rooftop fitness center open 24 hours. The hotel centred in a quiet street away from the noise but walking distance to shopping and night life. Perfect for families and solo travellers

I think that they normally stock these items but may have rushed to get the room ready. They were also very strict with Noon checkout with us.

The hotel is in a perfect location—within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and malls. The staff is lack of experience and they simply dont care-they couldnt find my drycleaning, sent me up to my room to look it up and got all confused as to where it is..congierce doesnt give you enough information about tours and the tour they arrange for you is almost like a scam..not enough sun beds around the pool area, they only find a spot for me when I asked to speak to the manager. Bangkok is full of nice hotels, do make the mistake I made and avoid this hotel please!

- Verified traveler (8/5): 4/5 - Good hotel, great service from the staff. About 30 min walk from Lumphini park but bc of traffic it takes a while to get pretty much anywhere when you book a Grab. Took us about an hour to get to the river. Nice poolarea although it can be a bit crowded as it isn’t very big and not alot of sundbeds. The breakfast is fine, a lot of warm foods and not much ”breakfast” as us europeans might be used to :) We wished for them to have more fruits other than watermelon and cantaloupe. Overall we’d give Samala 4/5!

They may try hard but unlike most of all 4-5 star hotels they still have musty, filthy, worn carpeting in the rooms. Who knows what’s embedded in those fibers that vacuums cannot sterilize. Ughh. This versus non-absorbent tiles whether a ceramic or a wood look.

Their professionalism and care during the crisis were truly impressive. On top of that, I had the pleasure of being assisted by the hotel’s incredible concierge team, most notably, Sam. He went above and beyond, offering fantastic recommendations for local attractions, providing detailed train schedules, and even sharing the best times to visit the nearby night market. Sam was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel like I was speaking with a friend rather than just a hotel employee. His personalized service really made my visit special, and because of him, I would definitely stay at Samala Hotel again. Both the hotel’s swift and thoughtful response to the earthquake and Sam’s exceptional service made my stay truly memorable. Highly recommend!

A special mention to the security guard, Kib, whose warm demeanor and helpful nature stood out. He was not only approachable but also spoke very good English, which made communication seamless. Room service was consistently prompt and efficient, ensuring all our needs were met without any delays. The front office operates 24/7, which is a huge convenience for travelers checking in or out at odd hours. The breakfast was delightful, with a wide array of options that varied daily, keeping things fresh and exciting. The dishes were delicious and catered to both local and international tastes. The hotel’s swimming pool is excellent, providing a relaxing spot to unwind after exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel is located in a great area, making it convenient to access various attractions and amenities around Bangkok. - Jarrod (10/5): - We enjoyed our 6 night stay at the SAMALA hotel. The area is excellent for exploring Bangkok, and the hotel is situated on a quieter street. The staff were very good, and the rooms was great. Would highly recommend a stay at the SAMALA hotel. Only thing to note is that breakfast is a hit or miss. There are plenty of savoury options to choose from, but some dishes were better than others. We found the breakfast to be a convenient healthier option as opposed to eating food from the street.
- Rick (10/5): - This is a very nice and clean hotel, great location too. 7 minute walk to all the food, action and BTS. Hotel sits back a street from the main road and rail in a low traffic area so its quiet all night which i value after a long busy day. I stayed on the sixth floor in a deluxe room with a tub. Breakfast at the hotel is a bit pricey if not included with your room price. But you can walk 10 minutes to German Brewhouse for a delicious hearty farmers breakfast for half the cost as the hotel. Staff all lovely and helpful although communication in English at times could be a little difficult. I would absolutely stay here again. This hotel is just what you hope for after a long travel and quick check in too. Thanks Samala hotel for a great stay!
- Rachel (4/5): Absolute shambles - AVOID - Our stay at the Samala was extremely disappointing. We made our reservation for July in January. Then, two days before we were due to arrive, I got an email asking me to confirm the booking, which I did. However, when we arrived, we were informed that ONE of our rooms had been cancelled and we'd been put into a room, all three of us. The explanation given for this was totally absurd - something about the booking card not working. Ridiculous, given we had chosen the pay-at-property option anyway. After about an hour (with no apologies in the meantime), they were able to find another room for us. When it came time to pay, none of their card terminals were working but they blamed our cards rather than their own malfunctioning tech. We were offered NOTHING by way of apology for this shambolic check-in - not even a complimentary drink. Upon getting into our rooms, we discovered that one of the showers didn't drain properly, and one of the toilets didn't flush! Again, no apology. I have always had wonderful experiences staying in Bangkok hotels, but this one was abysmal. The last straw came at check-out when they tried to tell me that we hadn't settled our bill, despite spending the aforementioned hour at check-in paying using cash because of their faulty machines. I really hope that the Samala takes these criticisms on board and makes an effort to improve their customer service.
- Teri (10/5): Love the stay! - The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk including concierge was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant staff was pleasant and welcoming and the pool and bar was a vibe. Its located near tons of eateries, however, it is a lil tucked away off the street whuch is geat because you don't hear the outside noise. Im planning to visit Bangkok again in the near future and will definitely book here again.

- Yaw (10/5): - SAMALA hotel is a lovely retreat in the heart of Sukhumvit. I stayed in April 2024. Arrived late at night to a welcoming concierge. Check in was a breeze, with a human touch. My room was located with a wonderful front view of the infinity pool. My room was spacious, well appointed, sparkling clean, with a very comfortable bed. The staff at SAMALA were outstanding, always eager to help with any questions, with helpful suggestions. The hotel itself feels relatively new, and the amenities reflect the newness. Fantastic, 24-hr fitness, although since I was on vacation and walking around all day, I didn't take full advantage. But it lacks no equipment, and they are all new. The breakfast buffet is a revelation. Absolutely delightful combination of east and west options across the buffet. Impressive, even in a city filled with so many options. The hotel is located conveniently in the heart of Sukhumvit, tucked a decent distance away from Sukhumvit road to provide peaceful rest, while also being close enough that I could walk to BTS within a few minutes.
