- LORI (9/5): Comfortable hotel in prime location in Harlem! - The Victoria restaurant was a lively, warm restaurant experience. The food was really good, the staff professional and attentive and the vibes were perfect for enjoying dinner and drinks. The hotel was perfectly placed for what we were doing in Harlem and the historical backdrop of the Apollo was perfect. The room was comfortable, cool, and clean, if a bit small. The lights over the bed were a bit dicey and the bathroom could benefit from an actually closing door, but it was workable. The $7 water bottle was a bit much. The stay was pricey but given the location and the timing (apparently, there were graduations at Columbia and a lot of hotels were booked) we were prepared.
- Md Arifur Rahman (1/5): Too poor - Very disappointing experience – still waiting on refund We had originally booked a 6-night stay from 4 April to 10 April 2026, but our experience was cut short due to a hot water system failure at the property. On 7 April, hotel staff asked us to check out early and assured us that we would not be charged for the day and would receive a refund for the remaining nights. We relied on these assurances and relocated that same evening, which ended up costing us an additional $400 for alternative accommodation. At the time, we were told the refund (USD $848.94, excluding deposits) would be processed within 7 days. Unfortunately, it has now been over 40 business days, and we’ve only received a partial refund (just 2 nights). Despite multiple follow-ups, including a call with staff on 9 May (Reference: 861220919), the issue remains unresolved. To make matters more frustrating, we were also given written confirmation at the time showing a total refund of USD $1,014.96 (including deposits), but the hotel now claims to have no record of this. Overall, this has been a very stressful and disappointing experience. The lack of accountability, delays in communication, and failure to honour clearly stated commitments have been extremely frustrating. I would strongly urge the management to: Process the remaining refund immediately Improve their handling of customer issues Consider fair compensation when guests are significantly inconvenienced due to hotel faults Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend staying here. Parking was too expensive especially if you had an oversized vehicle.we had dinner there and the hostess put our party with young children in the bar area. - Troy (9/5): A good, budget friendly option for a city visit. - Nice clean hotel in Harlem. We had a nice room from a high up floor with a great nightime view of the New York skyline ! Staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Subway station is just around the corner so links into the city are easy. A good choice for a budget friendly visit to the city. Nothing really.

- Nichelle (10/5): Nice location, we would definitely stay here again. - The staff was really friendly and gave us recommendations when asked. We also loved that the bar/restaurant had events during our stay so when we didn't want to step out, we had the convenience of going downstairs.

The whole experience was great, super lovely and lively neighborhood, we actually spent a lot of time there as we loved it so much + super easy to go anywhere with the subway next to the hotel. The room was great for our family, nice space, clean. The service at the restaurant counter really depended on who was attending as there was that onyle lady who was just rolling eyes behind Customers back and not being helpful. All the rest of the staff was just super helpful and lovely though! Also we had some VERY noisy people next to us 2 nights in a row, with the noise going on all night long. However, the staff told us, once we explained, that we could have called them any time during the night and they would have helped to sort it out so there was a solution for that too, which is why I'd still rate the whole experience a 9/10
- Girault (10/5): effet Whaou garanti ! - l'hotel est magnifique, on retrouve l'esprit de Harlem. le restaurant est très sympa, il est accessible aux personnes extérieures qui peuvent également profiter du bar. la chambre est bien décorée, les lits hyper confortables. la vue est impressionnantes sur la ville. mes ados ont eu l'effet "whaou". nous avons garé notre voiture dans un parking longue durée à proximité et nous sommes déplacés en métro ( plusieurs lignes à quelques minutes à pieds). l'hotel nous a donné des bons de 25 dollars par jours à utiliser dans l'hotel (restaurant, bar, petit déjeuner). le personnel est très accueillant et s'adapte à notre niveau d'anglais qui n'est pas brillant. la salle de bains ferme à l'aide d'un rideau. c'est joli mais peu isolant quand on est une famille de 4 personnes.

- Eulanda (3/5): - The location was decent...the restaurant staff was pleasant and accomodating...the beds were comfortable Firstly, when we entered our room it smelled llke a sweaty locker room which only intensified when the air conditioner came on. Secondly, we booked a room which advertised views of Central Park which we did not have. Thirdly, the breakfast which was "included" in the hotel cost for 4 guests was actually presented as a $25 voucher for a discounted meal for 4 people. The least expensive item on the menu was $18 to give you an idea just how far that went. Also, the voucher was to be provided at checkin which it was not so when we showed up for breakfast we had to go back to the desk to obtain and the staff argued that it was given at check in and was rude. After checking rhe log book she realized we were not provided the voucher. She did not bother to apologize for the error. Overall, this hotel did not live up to the price that was paid. We could've stayed at the Doubletree and had a better experience that was worth the money. When you pay over $500 per night you expect more. The room was tiny and awkward. We were too tired on arrival to bother to contest As a Marriott Bonvoy member I feel ripped off.

Décoration superbe du lobby, aux chambres en passant par le restaurant ! L'ambiance au bar est très jazzy et la carte du restau est délicieuse. Le restaurant est très animé le soir, et du coup très bruyant.

- Oksana (3/5): - Die Frühstücksauswahl war gut, wenn auch sehr teuer, und das Personal im Restaurant freundlich. Wir sind mit unserem Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr unzufrieden. Bereits die Lage des Hotels hat einen negativen Eindruck hinterlassen: Die Umgebung wirkte ungepflegt und vermüllt. Der angegebene Blick auf den Central Park war faktisch nicht vorhanden – lediglich eine kleine Ecke war zwischen den Gebäuden sichtbar, und auch nur mit Mühe. Auch der Zustand des Zimmers ließ zu wünschen übrig. Die Klimaanlage schien seit längerer Zeit nicht gereinigt worden zu sein; an einem Tag lag eine deutliche Staubschicht auf unseren persönlichen Gegenständen. Die Zimmerreinigung erfolgte zudem nicht zuverlässig – an einem Tag wurde sie komplett ausgelassen, und anschließend erhielten wir für vier Personen lediglich zwei Handtücher. Besonders gravierend waren jedoch die hygienischen und grundlegenden Mängel: Im Zimmer lag zeitweise ein deutlicher Geruch nach Kanalisation in der Luft, und an zwei Tagen fiel das Warmwasser im gesamten Gebäude aus. Eine proaktive Information darüber erfolgte nicht. Erst nachdem wir uns am Abend selbst an die Rezeption gewandt hatten, wurden wir darüber informiert. Uns wurde lediglich angeboten, auszuchecken – ohne konkrete Unterstützung, ohne Angebot einer alternativen Unterkunft und ohne klare Zusage einer Erstattung. Auch im Nachgang zeigte sich das Hotel wenig kulant. Unsere Beschwerde wurde mit der Begründung abgelehnt, alle Gäste seien informiert und eine kostenfreie Umbuchung angeboten worden. Dies entspricht jedoch nicht unserer Erfahrung. Eine Information erfolgte nicht, und ein Umzug am Abend – insbesondere mit einem müden Kind – war für uns keine realistische Option. Insgesamt haben wir für den gezahlten Preis deutlich mehr erwartet. Der Umgang mit den Problemen sowie die fehlende Entgegenkommen haben unseren Aufenthalt nachhaltig negativ geprägt. Eine Empfehlung können wir daher nicht aussprechen.

- Alice (4/5): Bien mais décevant compte tenu du prix payé - Lits confortables , bel hôtel et bonne ambiance au 5 ème étage au bar et restaurant. Vue sur central Park dans l'annonce mais en réalité nous avions plutôt vue sur la rue en contrebas et au loin central Park et Manhattan. Sol de la salle de bain abimé. Lits et salle de bain non faite tous les jours . Les cafés n'ont pas été changés tous les jours non plus pas digne du prix payé. Très décevant dans l'ensemble

I feel that I paid WAY too much for the Room that I was in ..... and I didn't like that a "Resort Fee" meant that $25.00 PER day was going to AUTOMATICALLY be Deducted from the $200.00 Deposit that I had to leave ..... therefore Forcing me to purchase from the Restaurant that was downstairs.👎🏽 ▪︎ I didn't like that the Floor in the room was concrete instead of carpet. ▪︎ The toilet seat was practically falling off because the screws were completely rusted. ▪︎ The bed pillows were very old and felt as though the pillowcase was stuffed with towels instead of pillows. ▪︎ The bathroom sink was clogged and the water took forever to drain out. ▪︎ There was not much closet space to hang clothing up.
- Karen (2/5): - First of all it was hard trying to find somewhere to park. The water was Ice Cold the whole day. In 61yrs I have never been in a hotel where the water was cold. I asked a few people on the elevator did they have cold water, some stated their water was fine. Some stated their water was cold and they were leaving. They never came to clean my daughter room who was nxt to me. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. Sorry but not Sorry. I was told I would get my money back for that day, never got it. We had 4 rooms. They didn't even use my husband points and he has 19,000 from the Bon Voy points. You guys need to do better, we came from Virginia to that mess. Smh
- Sandra (6/5): Agréable - L’emplacement proche du métro, la vue sur les bâtiments et la chambre jolie. Hôtel avec une bonne ambiance. Pas de brosse à wc et toilette qui se bouchait facilement. Femme de ménage qui passait faire les lits mais la chambre n’a pas été aspirée de la semaine entière. Nous avons été un jour sans eau chaude. Malgré cela, nous avons passés une agréable semaine.
