- Elise (10/5): - The whole stay was just amazing; the staff was the friendliest and the best trained in customer service; the inside courtyard was a oasis of peace from the busy streets of Florence; the 24hrs coffee or tea was very appreciated as the unlimited refill of prosecco. The location is perfect to walk to all the tourists spots. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff
- Thomas (10/5): - Perfect. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. Check in was a breeze, the room was clean and spacious and beautiful with a muraled ceiling. Everyone spoke English, the breakfast was just right, and they even made us a to go breakfast bag on departure day. We stayed for one week and walked everywhere. The location is within a few minutes of most everything. We would split our day up and always came back to the room for a breather.

That they are clearly proud to work there is evident in their enthusiasm for telling us the history of the building and how perfectly located it is for seeing some of Florence's famous sites. They went the "extra mile" and even provided us with a delicious box breakfast since we had to leave very early in the morning. We will definitely recommend Il Guelfo Bianco to anyone looking for a place to stay in Florence!
- Laurie (10/5): More than I’d Hoped for! - The entire stay from start to finish was really nice. The front desk helped us get our car parked in a garage and took care of recommendations all the way up to getting our car back at the door of the hotel. I’m so glad we got to stay here.

The hotel is located close to the Duomo, shopping, restaurants, and there is easy access to the Tram for a ride to and from the airport. Also, the breakfast was excellent. If in Florence again, we will definitely stay there again! The only negative this time is that a building nearby was being renovated, and the workers started early in the morning.

We were given a huge room on the street side of the hotel but no noise at day or night. Really comfy bed. Breakfast was super, plentiful and staff are very pleasant. They are always busy making sure everything is replenished quickly. Lovely to sit in courtyard in the morning.

When we checked in, we were immediately told that we could help ourselves to a glass of Prosecco and drink it in the beautiful courtyard, which we did! Guests can also get a great cup of coffee (espresso, cappuccino, etc) if they prefer that instead. What a wonderful experience!
- Diana (10/5): Very nice hotel, well-located - An excellent hotel, well-located and close to just about everything. We had a view of the Duomo from our window! Walking distance to major highlights, with lots of terrific restaurants and shops all around. The hotel's breakfast is first-rate. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for "comfort" is that our room was a little warm ... but I hasten to add that the hotel really tried to help us, and even offered to move us to another room (we declined). The delightful engineer even gave us a big room fan, which helped a lot. Wonderful staff all around. Highly recommend!
- Alexia (8/5): - Il Guelfo Bianco is perfectly situated in the heart of Florence, which is particularly convenient if you’re arriving by train, as the station is only a short walk away (max 15 minutes). All of the city’s main sights are within a 15-minute walk, making it an great base for exploring. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. My only complaint was that, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees the few days we were there, the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool. This may have been due to the larger, high-ceilinged space, which made air circulation less effective. Being an older building, there were also the occasional musty smells. Breakfast was included, and the fresh juices were a highlight. Overall, the hotel is worth it for the location alone - close to everything with plenty of dining options nearby. As someone who is vegan and gluten-free, I had no trouble finding options.

The breakfast area was lovely and they allowed guests to sit in the courtyard after hours to enjoy the lovely Florence evening breeze after a long day walking around. The location is very central and convenient, within walking distance to the main train station and every attraction. The front desk staff were very helpful. Carlo, the person who received us, was very courteous and helpful. He gave us an electronic kettle and cutlery when we asked him. The other staff who helped us check out, gave us a breakfast box as we left in the middle of the night. The breakfast was amazing with many sweet and savoury options. The only downside for me was the housekeeping of the room. I found hair in the washroom area upon arrival, and the daily housekeeping was not as high as the level of other services we received.But all and all, we had a very good experience in this hotel.
