The breakwall walk to Town Beach was nice. This is not advertised correctly. Disappointed with the view. Description and pictures advertised do not match reality.
The accommodation is actually NorthPoint Appartments which Wyndham only have rooms available in the back of the building as shown in pic from a street view.
View was overlooking the street and a vacant block. Didn’t feel like we were at a beach location, felt like we were at a run down town. Normally I like to sit on the balcony to have a cuppa and read a book with a water view. This was not the case. As per the picture, we did not have a pleasant view and there was no choice to have a room with a water view when booking. If I had known this was NorthPoint Appartments, I would have booked directly with them and had a view for the same price I paid or at another better place.
So book directly with NorthPoint appartments if you want a beach/ water view.
Very noisy early hours of the morning with garbage trucks. Bedrooms weren’t completely dark when curtains are drawn at night as the corner real estate and accommodation building and road lights were shining through. Found it difficult to have a proper sleep.
The bathrooms aren’t ventilated, felt like we suffocating. The appartment also felt very stale, no air was flowing through even though I had the sliding doors open and fans on 24/7. One split air con system in front of the lounge did nothing to keep the appartment cool and is poorly located.
Heated pool was ok, could use a little facelift along with the ‘recreation’ room which only had table tennis.
Had to call Wyndham at Flynn beach for housekeeping needs. I required more garbage bags, dishwashing powder and toilet paper.. told housekeeping only start at 9:30am so I’d have to wait till they are onsite the next day. Anything you may need, you’ll have to call. Unable to use the reception at NorthPoint as they’re owned differently… although NorthPoint staff were kind and helped me out.

- Julie (9/5): Excellent family friendly stay close to lots of shops, restaurants and town green. - The pool was great. The room had a lot of space and nice big balcony. Clean and tidy and lots of nice extras to make you feel at home, including games and puzzles for kids and extra towels. The only inconvenience is that you have to collect and drop off keys at a second location - however that process was easy as we had a car and staff were very helpful

We arrived around 6pm and as we settled into the room and were enjoying dinner after a long days drive we were called at 7.10pm by reception who tried to sell us membership to the club . We found this incredibly intrusive. We were there to enjoy time together as a family and not be subjected to an after hours sales pitch. We fell it was very disrespectful to our privacy and it put a sour note on our time there. We will not be back.

Fans in every room was great with the warmer weather.
Plenty of towels hand towels and face washers.
Beds were very comfortable. No roomservice or housekeeping.
When booking, could not choose what room and therefore what views would be visible from balcony and consequently were not what we had hoped for.
No stairs to access floor only a lift. Was not always a great option as family member had phobia of lifts.
Multiple lamps in the apartment were not working.

Nice and close to walk to everything you need Oven didn't work very well and had a loose panel where the stove top nobs were but that's nothing that bothered us. Just thought I'd mention it and the lounge room seating was a little uncomfortable but we didn't spend that much time watching TV so not much of an issue

It was filthy dirty, kfc still in the fridge
No beds in any of the rooms and lounge room furniture was all stacked up the outdoor setting was also inside. There was that much dust I could have written my name in it! All I was offered was a $10 bottle of wine and a $50 restaurant voucher which had to be used in 24hours!

The fact I spoke to 3 people from the time I did the reservation and even when I confirmed 2 days before we were to book in and at no time did the staff advise that you did not have waterveiw apartments at Port Macquarie. I will be dealing directly with the apartment reception not Wyndam

Strong chemical smell lingered for the two night stay, despite keeping windows/doors open as much as possible. If it was from some deep cleaning, the apartment probably should have been ventilated for longer before admitting guests.

- Rohan (5/5): Holiday was great, accommodation experience was poor. - Location was great and the room worked perfectly. Arrived in the room and all of the shear curtains were extremely mouldy so I rang reception and they gave us the option to change rooms or get the curtains cleaned and I said that I would just have the curtains cleaned as they wanted me to drive about 10 mins down the road again to get other keys and I also didn't want to be painful and take up another room so I asked if it was okay to take them down until they cleaned them and was all good, we had then gone out the next day for a family outing for most of the morning and come back to the room all closed up with the shear curtains back up and the room smelling extremely strong of bleach it nearly took our breath away and before long had our nose burning and a burning headache, I then rang again and informed them of the matter and they then offerd to move rooms again and I said we would have to as of the high chemical smell so I packed all of our stuff and waited for them to bring the keys for the other room to me, they then had the kind gesture of bringing wine, chocolate and a $50 voucher for they're restaurant which was not on site, and we kindly declined as we felt that it was not adequate for our experience, the second room also then has coffee stains on the bedsides once again and was also starting to show signs of mould but we just dealt with it, the rooms could have had great potential if they were up kept abit better, I could keep going but I don't have the energy as the rest of our holiday was great going to the zoo and other attractions, would have just loved to not have this kind of experience with accommodation on my birthday holiday.

Very friendly and well trained staff, apartment clean and well equipped, enough space for a family, thoughtful touches. Apartment building has a bit outdated gym room but you have enough options around.

- Sandra (9/5): Lovely apartment, but the hard sell on time sharing was annoying. - The location was perfect, close to town and restaurants. The parking was very small, had to let my husband out before reversing in.
We also had to go to another apartment block to pick up the keys, then they tried to sell us timeshares. Plus offered a glass of wine. Just very strange that checkin was at 4pm and then spent another hour talking about timeshares. We would think twice about booking this again.

- Jessica (9/5): Our stay was absolutely wonderful – comfortable, convenient, and just what we needed. - Our stay was fantastic – the location was perfect, so close to town and everything we needed. The welcome we received at the Flynns Beach location was warm, professional, and totally unexpected – truly upper class! A great stay all round. Highly recommend. We had a lovely stay overall. The building itself is looking a bit tired – the foyer could definitely do with a refresh, but we understand that’s run by Northpoint. The shower pressure was fantastic, though it was a bit tricky to get the temperature right – it tended to jump from hot to cold with no in-between, which made it a bit of a juggle. That said, everything else was perfect and we really enjoyed our time there.

- Selina (5/5): Great for the location. - The property was close to the heart of Port Macquarie, everything was within walking distance which was great. The people staying upstairs were dragging furniture around at all hours- even after midnight. We did report it however they said they were asleep. This could not have been the case, it was loud enough to get a recording. The acoustics of the hotel meant we could hear everything, which disrupted a few people in our extended family (so all could hear it on the same floor)
We also received one housekeeping call during our 8 day stay, and they didn’t replenish the towels or other amenities outside of this. We ran out of toilet paper and other basics and had to source ourselves.

Annoying having to drive to another resort to check in. Lucky we came by car!
- Kate (1/5): Walked out, facilities were very underwhelming & would not ever go back. - Nothing at all! This is not the facilities or standard of brand of accommodation that “Wyndham” advertise. This is not a Wyndham Resort at all and should not be called as such. Instead and very disappointingly, we were checked in, then redirected back 3 kms away from the Resort to an apartment in a tired-looking building, called "Northpoint Apartments", a very old building with no appeal at all. This is advertised very misleadingly and makes you think you are in fact booking at the Wyndham. The staff at Club Wyndham Flynns Beach (where the reception and check in is) were also unhelpful and rude.

The apartment was large The accommodation was very run down, no aircon in bedrooms only one small split system in the lounge room and bedrooms were too hot to have a restful sleep. We looked over a concrete car park that was extremely noisy and zero view except the road and car park.

Finally at 5.30pm, got keys and headed to apartment. We couldn't get into parking and had to go back to flynns beach again to get the key fob to get into carpark. So unorganised and was so inconvenient.
