- Marc (9/5): Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Melbourne - The room was big and comfortable. Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Our original room had an issue with the Aircon and our room was heating up to 28’C. Once we were moved to another room, our stay was faultless.
- Kin Yee (1/5): WORST. TERRIBLE! Paid all but no check-in allowed with threat!! - Nothing!!!!! I nearly couldn't stay even though I paid all rates. They got my money and not letting me stay and sent me threatening message !!!!! How can I like ? I paid all the room rates but they almost didn't let me stay. Besides rate, they asked me to pay a deposit. I paid but they said my credit card didnt work just right before i check in, so they didnt give me any check-in details even after 5pm on the check-in date. When I messaged them, they didnt quite give effective responses. Until I call them out of desperate needs, because I have nowhere to go, they then allow me to check-in unvoluntarily. On the next day, when I paid the deposit again. Their staff there got poor communication. One staff of them asked me to pay again and THREATENED me that they will deactivate my code and not to let me stay and lock my stuff indoors. Thats the TERRIBLE and WORST experience I have ever have.!!!!!!!!!!

- Roslan (5/5): Melbourne City Suites Review - I like the fact that it is an apartment not just a regular hotel. Right in the CBD and easy access to public transport. I didn't like it when it's freezing outside and the air conditioning unit will not go above 18.5 degrees Celsius. They did something, but I believe it was switched off only the next day when it hot. The temperature reached up to 28.5 degrees Celsius. I had to call the maintenance guy to come and fixed it. They came, but the temperature went down to 24 degree, but keep jumping up higher again after an join or 2. In the end, I could not stay there any longer and sleep at a friend's place nearby because I could not any relief from the heat in the apartment. If you get room 906.. Reject it please.

- Sally-Anne (5/5): Nice room with plenty of space for a family but lack of reception in the evening was an issue. - The room was spacious and clean. Location was great as it was a short walk to the city centre and many restaurant options. Reception were friendly and helpful when they were there and we were able to store our bags after checking out. It was a little strange as the reception was located in a room on an elevated floor. We needed to walk through the lobby of another hotel and make our way up to find the reception on the 8th floor and down a long corridor. Reception was only available until 6pm, after which there was no one on sight to handle problems. We had an issue with the air conditioning as the room we were first put in did not allow us to adjust the theromostat. This was a problem as it was set very cold for a Melbourne autumn night. Needed to contact the after hours number and try out several different rooms to find one that was heated adequately. Eventually we made do with an extra portable heater in the room. It seems the thermostat was not adjustable in any rooms.

The same as last time, you do not have a physical lock on the inside of the door. It makes me uncomfortable that a staff member can access the room while I'm inside. Also you do not have the proper bedding for single beds. I stayed in the room with my Dad and the single beds are fine, but the sheets do not stay on the mattress as they are not fitted.

- Gerard (7/5): - Great location, very spacious room and beautifully quiet which we really appreciated. Also we were able to leave our bags after check out to do some shopping which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was included in our price which we enjoyed. The only reason why we wouldn't rate this property higher is the 3 o'clock check in time. We have stayed in many properties in Melbourne and check in is always 2 o'clock. When you come from the country it is nice to get settled in your room and freshen up before activities in the city.

- Kayla (6/5): Freezing and frustrating - Great location, nice views, easy walking distance to main streets. Beautiful room with comfortable bed. The temperature in the room was set on 17.5 the whole night even when I tried to turn it up. Was told to leave the car park pass in the room upon leaving but can’t get to the basement or out of the parking garage without it. Have no onsite support after hours and you call a call centre who have no idea how to help. Ask if early check in is available, was told to see onsite team only to arrive to find they are on lunch at the time you asked to check in and wasn’t told this.

The aircon was TERRIBLE and so hot!!!! and we were told that the temperature couldn't be changed as the aircon is central throughout the hotel. Nothing was done to fix it so we had to use Icepacks in our room to cool ourselves down. Also no windows to open so NO breeze.

Did not need a hotel card which made entrance and exits easy. 24hr call centre was great to talk to. Lack of information and large singage about the shared space with Mantra - just struggled finding the entrance at 12am. Room was very dark due to poor lighting.

After hour check in was convenient and straightforward. I never met a staff in person but they were very friendly and efficient over the phone and via messages/emails. They accidently deducted my parking fee in my bond even though I already paid for it on the first night I arrived. Took 3 weeks to receive my refund. Parking space was a bit narrow for our Subaru Outback.

Because it was a public holiday (Anzac Day) breakfast was from 8am - 10am we arrived at 0830 to find rock hard hash browns rubbery chicken sausages and bacon. The food had been left for to long in the warming dishes and needed to be refreshed. On the positive side the cold side was great and plentiful. Staff at MCS great very polite, helpful and obliging. The air conditioning was set to low. Whilst the apartment had a thermostat it only registered the temperature in the room it transpired the system was set from a central point for the whole building.

The hotel also organised my parking at an extra cost, worth the hassle free searching. The kitchen is perfect size for prepping my kids meals - during school holidays I take my kids with me on business trips. Second time staying here and will continue to come back. I couldn't turn the aircon temperature down, the rooms ran very warm.

The suite was cold the whole time of our stay, especially at nights it was freezing. I have to mention that the lady in the reception was so polite and nice. She gave us a heater for the room, but it was not enough for cold nights of the Melbourne. Apart from this which made our stay uncomfortable, I was satisfied with the remainder of facilities in the suite.

- Irene (7/5): Good location, Spacious room - Great location - central to a lot of places, close to buses and trams. The room and bathroom are spacious, 2 large beds will fit 4 adults comfortably. Next to Patricia's coffee - perfect for the coffee lovers. Staff at reception is very friendly and pleasant. We arrived early (way before check in time), but the room was already ready. Can be tricky to find the first time - it's the same building as Mantra Little Bourke. No bathmat, room cleanliness can be improved - visible stains/dirt on cushions, bed runner and spare blankets a little smelly, bathroom vent and hairdryer filter covered in dust. Shower has mould and soap scum (not much but visible). Rangehood doesn't work.
- Mayers (8/5): Good value and location for the price! - It was a good, quiet location that was close enough to transportation, endless restaurants, shopping and general getting around. The room could be cleaned more often, especially the garbage.

Great size room, always a great place to stay. - We arrived at 10am to store our luggage before check in time and were surprised to be told our room was ready and we could check in. Reception staff lovely, room size large, lovely toiletries and super comfy beds. Nothing, this is our 3rd stay here and we will keep coming back 😊
- Ricky (2/5): Stay really ruin our trip this time. - Location convenient Booked a onsite car space, the car park is under same Mantra building was so narrow and congested. Very dangerous turning point to the car park plus very narrow space inside. I was in my 8 seater Kia Karnival. Almost every car in that car park got damages on it. Way out on same way is a salute nightmare. I have to get my wife to guide me from out to turn my car inch by inch front and back to get it out without getting damaged. As soon as we got it out safely we plan not to risk again. So we went to receptionist and ask her to cancel our parking for next 3 days. We found First Car Park which is way much cheaper than this people. Room in aircon not working whole night kids couldn’t sleep as well as us. After 10 hours road trip from Sydney it was an absolute miserable night to pass without proper sleep. Next day they offer to change to room for us, this room was hidden among the plant room. The noise killed us badly even while watching tv and Aircond the same issue. Would have been booked proper AirBNB. Apart from the bad stay we had a fantastic time.
