• Leanne (5/5): - It was clean and comfortable but had some repairs that did not look safe While we appreciate the front security camera and the ones in the carpark area, they are overkill to be spying on the unit area. The terms and conditions on having no visitors did not make for an enjoyable stay. All in all, if you want a chill go with the flow vibe this is not the place.

• Ryszard (1/5): It was like a scam... - Nothing. The property was so overvaliue, so it is very hard to talk about anything else. I wouldn`t even give a 3 star for the property. I had a perfect Bay Apartaments nearby ten times better for a better price. The price for one night shouldn`t be more than $150 ,I paid more than dubble. Even some extra bond (for what?) I had to call and ask for return as it didn`t happen on time.

I had trouble checking in, and found out while doing this that a $50 deposit was require before the code for the gate and room was given. There were no staff on location which made everything a little difficult.

There was real milk in the fridge Contactless check in was easy but the information supplied was difficult to read on the phone. There was no light at the front door which made it difficult to navigate after dark

• Sulei (4/5): Lovely property but withheld my deposit without communication! - Location was great, excellent facilities including laundry (without having to supply your own laundry powder!), coffee machine, breakfast provisions in the fridge and ample parking. Our experience would have been flawless however 2 weeks post our stay I realised my deposit was not refunded to me. When i followed up, i was sent a video alleging us smoking on the premises but it was not us in the video. No communication with us at all. The funds were subsequently returned but if i didnt reconcile my bank statement i wouldn't have known. Very pool form.

• Ka Lai (1/5): An extremely poor experience from the outset, beginning with the initial booking made through Booking.com. - Nothing The condition of the floors at the time of check-in was completely unacceptable. As evidenced by the video and photographs, there was a significant build-up of grime and visible debris that had clearly not been addressed, falling well below the expected standard of cleanliness. Most concerningly, despite reporting these hygiene issues at approximately 9:00pm, the management team refused to send anyone to inspect the property at that time, although a full refund was initially offered. In order to make the accommodation tolerable to stay in, I undertook basic cleaning myself after documenting the condition. However, the management team only attended the property on the day of check-out, at which point they asserted that the condition was acceptable and subsequently withdrew the previously agreed refund. This handling of the situation is highly disappointing and unacceptable.

• Lee (9/5): Great Value for money. - Room is excellent. Spacious and very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. Just opposite the ocean. Self serving breakfast. Fresh eggs, toast and cereals. Great coffee. No view of the ocean from the room. You would need to sit outside on the balcony to enjoy the view.
• Kay (1/5): - Clean sheets. It looks and feels like a jail. Long involved process to get in ie send a photo of your ID, follow a link to pay a deposit. This can be difficult when you're travelling. The place is old eg paint peeling and the outside was dirty and covered in dust and leaves. Cockroach in the kitchen. The person I spoke with was condescending 'You need to keep up with technology and AI'. ( I've used lock boxes with keys lots of times in Europe). The fob to drive in didn't work so I had to put in the combination on the front gate, run around to the exit gate, push the exit button then run back to the car and drive in. Breakfast ($30) consisted of a dozen eggs, in the fridge, dry bread, opened (and used) butter, jam, peanut butter and vegimite (Yuk!). And hoons raced noisily up and down the Esplanade in the night. Terrible.

Had to go through a whole process to get access to the property, send my licence/ID, pay a bond on line, last thing you want is to be standing on the pavement with your suitcase and having to take photos and complete forms before you can access the code to get it. This should have been made clear when booking the property, and could have been completed at the time not After you’ve secured the booking.

Great location to the beach and eateries would be the overarching comment. Parking was a nightmare, most guests we spoke to thought it was very ho-hum Step up on the porch, kept us tripped up - we're fit mid 50's, would be a bit disastrous. Cob web's in the outdoor light...maintenance is a bit off beat...I'm no handyman, but I could've done a better job of some of the patches.

• Amber (7/5): Cozy and comfortable but a bit over priced for what it is. - Cozy, very family friendly and accommodating, secure, safe, great variety in the light breakfast supplied in the kitchen, easy check in The family’s above and beside us were very loud even though inside it’s sound proof still doesn’t stop the thumping and stomping. Bathroom floor Lino was lifting between the shower and toilet and to walk over felt like a whole bunch of stones/ gravel was shoved underneath the lino. Found numerous clothing tags and stickers from previous people through out, under towels, in the bedroom, behind the bed head. Although it’s a nice area and cozy I do think it’s very over priced for what is it considering what I paid for two nights was about $200 more then what a week stay in surfers paradise cost me, It was between Christmas and new year to if that is to blame.

Would have been better if all the food items were individual items. Examples; the butter had the appearance of being melted on several occasions and the coffee smelt old and not usable.

One of the fans had a lot of dusts on it which I didn't like so much, but othewise generally clean. The idea of supplied breakfast was great, but I wasn't confortable with the idea of using opened jam and peanut butter. Some instant coffee was mixed in the sugar jar. I understand clearners did a good job but they might wanna change these shared jars to single served sachet.

• Lee Jones-Shehata (7/5): 549 Apartments Review - Spacious and Comfortable and Secure and Quiet. Linen and towels clean and fresh. Fabulous little balcony for 4 with umbrella table and chairs to enable the view and fresh air to be enjoyed. Kitchen well equiped. Breakfast items were sensible and welcoming. Great little coffee machine. Good water pressure for shower. Body wash etc provided was mild and skin friendly. Overall we really enjoyed our 4 nights. The refridgerator freezer was iced up leaving not much room. The kitchen and kitchen items were greasy and required washing. The electric gate didn't work with key so had to get out of car go through front key entrance to walk to push button for gate to open. Initially we were disappointed but quickly relaxed and really enjoyed our apartment and all it offered.

First time I’d stayed in a self contained unit and all the essentials were already in the fridge, 2L milk, bread and a dozen eggs. Kitchen facilities were great. Comfy lounge and the biggest tv I think I’ve ever seen. Being picky but if there were aircon in the bedrooms it would have been flawless. There was aircon in the main living area though.

Umbrellas over the outdoor tables meant we could sit out there any time of the day - and we did, even during a shower of rain! The apartments were very well provisioned, we wanted for nothing. The beds and pillows were super comfy, and we enjoyed watching movies on the big screen TVs. :-)
