James (1/5): Don't stay here, there are far better choices in Miami. - Location We intentionally booked this unit one day in advance of our actual check-in so I could decorate and surprise my daughter for her birthday. Unfortunately, the condition of the unit upon arrival was unacceptable. The floors were extremely dirty, leaving my white socks visibly soiled after only a few steps. The bathroom towels contained long black hairs, and the overall cleanliness of the unit was far below reasonable standards. I purchased cleaning supplies myself and spent considerable time sweeping and mopping. The amount of hair and debris collected was excessive, and the mop pads turned black after cleaning only a small portion of the floor. I also had to wash the towels and linens personally before they could be used, which should never be the responsibility of a guest. It needs to be noted that they charge you a couple $200+ for the cleaning fee, which they pocket and never clean the unit. The following day, I sent photos to the host with visible date and time stamps documenting the condition of the property. The only response I received was that the issue could not be addressed because it was not reported within the first 24 hours of check-in. At no point did the host offer assistance, provide a resolution, or express concern. The overall response demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and disregard for basic hospitality standards. Although my daughter extended her visit by 10 days, I chose to vacate this unit and relocate to another property rather than continue my stay under these circumstances. Unfortunately, this host’s approach reflects a “take it or leave it” attitude toward their guests. Cleanliness is one of the most fundamental expectations when booking an Airbnb, and this property failed to meet even the most basic standard. The lack of concern and unwillingness to resolve the issue is unacceptable. Guests should not be expected to pay premium rates for unsanitary accommodations and dismissive service.
