- Aaron (8/5): Nice cosy room and excellent property. - Great location with amazing sunsets. Close to walking and very nice pool onsite. Shower was not great. Kitchenware needs updating.
- Eliza (8/5): -
- Gynna (10/5): Amazing would definitely be back! - It is a very beautiful property with a small but nice pool, we staged at a self contained cabin it had jt all, an amazing kitchen where we could cook proper meals, small shop where you could buy lots of food (except for meat) and a very beautiful ground for camping with lots of wildlife. Nothing in general but is very remote, no restaurants near by so if you can bring your own food to cook cause the shopping will be very limited. Closest town is 30 mins driving
- Brian (8/5): -
- Stefan (9/5): Loved it, would go there again - Really a nice place to stay
- Lisa (8/5): We only stayed one night but it was very comfortable and would have been a great place to stay for longer. - Very spacious. Good facilities. Saw lots of wallabies
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Jann (10/5): - Remote location, but close to Grampians.
- JEONG KOOK (10/5): -
- Ladson (10/5): -
- Wang (1/5): Regret. But the view was good. - View was nice Water stopped midnight. Couldnt shower, couldnt drink, couldnt brush teeth, couldnt even use the toilet because no flush. No refund for even 10%.
- Human (8/5): -
- Aaron (9/5): Relax space to unwind - Location. The cabin balcony and cabin design One cupboard was loose on the hinges but other than that everything was great
- Buddhika (10/5): A wonderful place for a calm stay near the Grampians - The location, convenience for petrol pumps and the store. Views and facilities. Fairly close to most of the lookouts and walks at Grampians and Zumsteins.
- Julien (8/5): -
- Tresley (8/5): Affordable place for family weekend - Great location and ambience....good enough amenities for a night stay...kids had fun having access to a playground and tennis court Pool was cold
- Sally Jo (5/5): Okay for what we needed and accomodating and a secure location for a young family with enough beds. - The location and staff. The availability of two bedroom cabins for travelling as a young family. The amount of extra blankets on offer. The layout of the cabin (bar the ornamental fireplace). The property feels safe and friendly. The condition of the room. Many things were dirty, broken, dangerous for small children and dated. The pool was filthy and our daughter was so disappointed that she couldn’t swim in it. The room had a sign asking us to turn off the electric blankets but there were none on the beds? The balcony/verandah had a view of the staff vehicles , equipment and backyard, making it feel not very scenic or private. I do note that none of the other cabins bar ours (kangaroo) seemed to face the staff area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best cabin experience me and my family had in a great time, wonderful views the wildlife at our doorstep was incredible to wake up to, very close to everything you will want in to visit in the Grampians, friendly staff, we will be back for sure.
- Maggie (10/5): - Immaculate room. Peaceful serene atmosphere
- Aitken (5/5): -
- Monika (9/5): -
- Janis (10/5): - This is a great place to stay, well kept cabins and a great location near the Grampians park
- Peter (8/5): Great Cabin but Processes Unclear - The cabin was wonderful ... spacious, comfortable, warm with an open fire. Great kitchen ... we were very happy with the cabin.
If you are planning to visit, a few things to note:
1. There is no wood or kindling provided ... no firestarters or even paper. You can buy bags of very quick burning wood for around $20. Much better is the hardwood from the petrol station in Halls Gap.
2. They will take 1 night's fees from your credit card weeks before arrival, even although Hotels.com say you pay on arrival
3. They will take more money than advertised by Hotels.com ... for us over $10 ... for bank fees. However, they didn't tell us until we asked. We have never had this anywhere else.
- Judianne (9/5): Country ambience - The place was lovely in a good location and staff helpful, our cabin nice and cosy, surroundings lovely
- Cristina (9/5): - Absolutely wonderful location. Unpowered sites have the best view imaginable! We stayed in a cabin, everything needed was there. Comfortable bed. Good little shop, friendly , informative staff.
Thank you for a great stay. All good
- Helen (7/5): Good - The size of it was amazing The fridge didnt work, the cutlery was not cleaned. Mouldy lemons left in the kettle
- Margaret (7/5): Good - Cabin was clean and comfortable The cabin was very cold - duvet too thin for winter and we had to use 4 spare blankets to be warm enough.
- Bronwyn (8/5): Very good -
- Reale (7/5): Good -
- Neville (9/5): Superb -
- Naomi (7/5): Good enough for 1 overnight stay - Kangaroos hopping around the property No drinking water in the cabin. Had to fetch from water tank. Would have been nice to be warned about it so we could have brought a 10L water container. The cooking equipment/crockery were very basic.
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deb (8/5): - The cold shower was the only negative. And i would suggest checking the PowerPoint's before attempting to use them
- Susannah (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous stay, conveniently located. Cute little cabin and had everything we needed. Surrounded by lots of kangaroos and stunning views of the Grampians. Nice touch with the fire pit after a long day of waking None
- Gabriel (10/5): Very cozy! Nice place to enjoy nature! - Very green, easy access.
- Aleksandar (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (9/5): Quiet location a short drive from Halls Gap and the Grampians. - Quiet location a short drive from Halls Gap and the Grampians. We stayed in a 2-BR self-contained cabin that had everything you need really. Just remember that you are a bit remote so internet is not great but that is good for a break in fact :-). Would be good to have a few more bathroom amenities in the room e.g. Shampoo.
- Roger (9/5): Very friendly staff & close to many attractions. Gives you the complete bush lodging experience. -
- Bulgantamir (10/5): - Our stay in here was wonderful. Very quiet are hood, spacious rooms, comfortable- loved it. Great facilities- we will definitely return in the future.
- Milan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Masako (9/5): Enjoyed quiet evenings with nature. - Quiet.
Visit of many kangaroos in the evening. Some kitchen stuff was missing, such as salad bowls and tea spoons.
- Laurens (7/5): Good -
- Alfonso (1/5): Overall a very low value for money, old, dirty and poorly maintained place. - Accessible location adjacent to Grampians national park. The van cabin was very overpriced and of very low standard: it was dirty all over the floor and furniture, blankets and duvets felt old and not washed for a long time, the mattresses are very old and of very low quality, the double bed has a dip in the centre that made it very uncomfortable for a couple to sleep in, there was no TV as described in the website, the stove and oven are over 50 years old fashion electric type, we did not dare to cook in them, the air conditioning is very old, evaporative type, so not very powerful and very noisy. The outside toilet full of spider webs and crawling insects, including cockroaches.
The rest of the facilities are very basic, very old and not ready maintained. The swiming pool is small, in the plain sun, water and pool floor is very dirty, the small grassy area is actually muddy.
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely spot to soak up nature - Great location to access all The Grampians has to offer.
- Ha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hiromi. (9/5): Natural environment - The accommodation is in the forest. It’s very quiet and peaceful. We have seen kangaroos, emus etc. We loved our cottage. No shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer.
- Susan (7/5): A good place for our 1 night stop over - We liked te location of this property and there were a lot of Kangaroos about and the views were great. The bathroom was on the outside of the cabin which was a bit inconvenient in the night. The childrens playground was in need of refurbishment as some of the equipment was broken.
- Timotheus (10/5): Exceptional - Own private bathroom area directly behind the caravan which was also rather large and had more amenities then most hotels.
Kangaroos were present within the grounds as well as a little store (with a large range of assortments).
- Rachel (7/5): Good -
- Alicia (8/5): Very good - Breathtaking view
Cabin was clean cosy & comfortable Would've Ben nice to have simple condiments, eg, salt, pepper, oil, for the light traveller.
A complimentary stack of wood for the wood fire could be a nice touch
- Bozana (5/5): Passable -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (7/5): Greta location, shame about the insect visitors. - Location fantastic. Check in friendly and informative. Only one major thing - attention is needed to the insect screens on the windows, especially near the winders. Large gaps allowed entry of biting insects - not good!
Some hanging space facilities would have been good for clothes. The accommodation was a bit lacking in this and other storage for guests clothes.
- Colin (8/5): Great location with wildlife on the site. - Location, kangaroos around the site, friendly and helpful hostess. Site shop stocks a reasonable range of items including frozen ready meals and alcohol. We arrived late and hostess heated our ready meals for us. Unfortunately fair old drive to eat out. Our unit did not have a microwave. Had to go outside to use private toilet facilities. The standard of the accommodation looked tired.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Ricki (8/5): - The log cabin we stayed in was newly renovated and was ideal for our overnight stopover
- Yi (8/5): Very good -
- Windsor (8/5): Very good -
- Swathi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cassandra (6/5): Lovely stay uncomfortable bed - staff were friendly facilities were great. views were stunning Bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress was uncomfortable, but the rest of the room was great.
- Anil (8/5): good and comy stay - Location and surroundings no microware in all cabins , only selected cabins
- Alexander (5/5): Passable -
- Mariena (10/5): Amazing service, location and amenities. - The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rhonda, Phil and Lillian went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. Location had beautiful views of the mountains and we got to see so many kangaroos which was amazing. We were pleased that there was an onsite shop for snacks and essentials at reasonable prices and the kids had fun exploring the site which had a play ground, tennis court and a recreation room. Definitely 5 stars.
- Helen (8/5): Quite comfortable. Great location. Highly recommend - I loved the serenity. I loved the bushiness, heaps of trees, dirt roads. Heaps of space. No hot water in the cabin. Had to boil the kettle to wash the dishes.
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): Nice place -
- Samara (8/5): Very good - Beautiful views of the mountains. Plenty of space for the kids to run around. Lots of local wildlife to admire. Cabin was beautifully clean and had almost everything we needed. Staff were lovely and welcoming. The heater took a while to warm up but was ok once it was going. $30 charge to use a 15 amp plug to charge an electric car was outrageous. No flat sheets on the bunks just woolen blankets.
- Richard (9/5): Excellent - I really appreciated the heater being on when I entered. - Bedside shelves need to be properly secured
- Iris (9/5): Peaceful night, beautiful location! - Cozy and functional accommodation. Very kind owners. Possibility of purchasing basic necessities at reception (food, drinks, etc). Quiet and peaceful place, we even saw little kangaroos 🦘 Can't drink tap water, but we are given a bottle, and there is a water tank outside. It can get really cold at night in the cabin, the radiator is essential 🙂🌡also the private bathroom is separate, just behind the accommodation.
- Amesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheyenne (9/5): Superb -
- Raelene (10/5): - Only stayed overnight. Owner was very helpful, accommodation was clean and well presented.
- Tsung-jen (6/5): Need improvement especially have the drinkable water diverted into the room. - Very good and functional aircon system, probably just installed recently. 1. Upon checking in, was given a bottle of 1.5L drinking water, and told to get drinkable water by ourselves from a big tank outside of the room. Spent many times to fill the drinkable water using a 3L bottle to boil for drinking. Was I camping there? Though all water supply inside the room is untreated and a little bit brown color, but it's understandable, due to the water source from the Wartook lake.
(***The untreated water supply inside the room should have been stated clearly on the advertisement website!!!)
2. Kitchenware is not clean, need to wash them thoroughly before use
3. Lots of bugs flying all over the bathroom after sunset. Don't know where to fly in.
- Lisa (9/5): Beautiful quiet getaway - Loved the position and serenity of the place
- Megan (8/5): As a base to sleep and telax of an evening this place is gorgeous. The lovely ladies manning reception were helpful and - The accomodation is located on a large property and guests could go for a walk within it. Waking to rosellas outside and an evening walk to see the roos was mynidea of heaven The cabins looked like they needed some work done. HOWEVER, there was a notice stating that there were renovations being undertaken on the property and our cabin was one of the nect to be done.
- Silvio (1/5): Never again - Kangaroos I had rodents in my room.
No clean water acces in my room.
Fungi smell inside which is cancerous.
Staff not very genereous, desperate for money.
- Chris (3/5): Poor -
- Harsha (8/5): Very good -
- Amelia (9/5): Superb - Firewood for night 1 waiting for us, as was the host ... we were running late
- Ross (6/5): I just felt that we were not getting good value - The place was empty but we were given a room with no view, in the Grampians… not impressed
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Napier (8/5): Cute but dated cabin in the middle of the Grampians. - Lovely staff and great location in the middle of the Grampians Cute cabin but a little dated and old for the price.
- Patrick (9/5): Pure Australia, a few hours from Melbourne - Log cabin with expansive view of the Grampians. At dusk kangaroos graze close to the cabins, providing that most iconic view of Australia: roos hopping through a dry landscape. Log cabin is fully equipped and has outdoor setting. Central BBQ facilities
- Ritesh (9/5): Amazing cottages with lots of wildlife and good views - Beautiful relaxing property with great views and wildlife. Tennis courts and swimming pool. Lovely cottages. Bit away from main Grampian attraction but not a big issue
- Jacky (7/5): Excellent location in need of tlc. - Great location and enjoyed watching the kangaroos from our veranda.
Clean and tidy. Definitely not deluxe. In need of refurb.
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Property was cosy and has a convenient store attached and a fuel pump. Room was clean and fully self sustained and had a cabin feel. Also the staff were helpful on recommendations and super welcoming. They offer free drinking water on arrival as the tap was is untreated from Wartook reservoir, although, the tap water is still safe, so it was nice they provided additional water anyways. Location is isolated with the nearest towns being Halls Gap, so best to be prepared. Also there is no wifi on the property and limited cell service.
