- MissyFi (8/5): Lovely quirky hotel in great area of Milan - Lovely quirky cool hotel in a great part of Milan (Santa Sofia). The staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was big (315) with a handy terrace and good storage space. The room was a little dark, especially the bathroom - that really would benefit from better lighting as the tiles were dark green. Room was clean and they had a record player with some vinyl to play... i didn't get the change to find out if it actually worked - but thats a lovely touch, and suited the vibe of the hotel.

- Montserrat (7/5): Allotjament cèntric, bastant car i just d'higiene - La situació, a pocs minuts del centre històric i molt a prop de metro i tramvia. L' esmorzar era de qualitat tot i que poc variat, principalment el pa que només n'hi havia de dos tipus. El personal de la recepció era molt amable i parlaven espanyol, cosa que s'agraeix. La neteja era molt justa, la banyera amb pols incrustada de feia molt de temps i el water amb restes grans de calç. El terra de moqueta tampoc estava gaire net, amb taques grans.

- Paige (4/5): Disappointed in Max Brown - The building is outdated and poorly maintained, with filthy bathrooms, old and slow elevators, and nothing appealing beyond the deceptively nice lobby. Overall, it feels like a facade and not worth the money. The bed was comfortable and the room had some nice elements like big mirrors, Smeg water kettle, and a record player. However, the lighting in the rooms was horrible! This place is seriously outdated and gross. Surprised for a Max Brown hotel. Will not be returning

While the property has a retro look and feel from the outside, the reality of the room was extremely underwhelming. The room itself felt outdated, with little natural sunlight, and the bathroom was so small that it was uncomfortable to use. There wasn’t even a hanger for hand towels, and the towels provided felt very cheap. For a two-person room, the space was far too cramped, and my partner and I really struggled to fit in comfortably. Overall, I cannot understand how this hotel is rated as a four-star establishment. The quality simply did not meet the expectations or standards of that rating.

- Bruce (10/5): - What really struck me is how much personal care I was given by the staff. I have stayed at the nicest hotels in the country and they could learn from this boutique hotel at how to treat people in a way that makes them feel special. Every one of them made me feel like I was a part of the family. They even ran to the store to get me some cigarettes and stowed my bags when I was taking a short trip to Barcelona and back. Called a shipping company on my behalf because I bought too many clothes and wanted to ship a suitcase home. Truly a bespoke experience. Decided to book again already on my return from Barcelona. Also the record player with vinyl albums in the room was such a nice touch. Bravo!

- Roxanne (10/5): - A wonderful stay at Max Brown Missori. Travelled with a friend, and we stayed in a cosy connect room - imagine 2 small rooms with a connecting door. Lovely staff, great room and facilities. Breakfast was good - such a variety. The hotel is walking distance to metro stations and it was so easy to get to the Duomo and other areas, with one of the metro station lines close by even taking you direct to Linate Airport! Good variety of restaurants within a few mins walk of the hotel, and it felt very safe. A few nice shops also a short walk from the hotel. Definitely recommended for a stay in Milan. I would stay here again.

- stevebintley (8/5): Unique hotel with fantastic service - For a more unique and memorable hotel I’d recommend here, set down a quiet road but easily within walking distance to many of the main sights. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic on arrival and throughout the stay, helping with local information and being very welcoming. The lobby area is great, more of a social space, with pool table, sofas with games and a retro decor which continues into the rooms. The retro vibe might not be to everyone’s taste, but the record player in the room complete with a few vinyls, old radio and telephone plus lighting was certainly different! I couldn’t get the air-conditioning to work but fortunately the window actually opened. Bed was comfortable enough with electric sockets next to both sides. In keeping with the style the bathroom felt a little dark and dingy, plus it was impossible to have a shower without water ending up all over the floor due to the small screen along edge of the bath. The room itself was spacious though and the toiletries decent. I’d certainly stay again and it offered great value in the centre of the city.

- 713drewk (8/5): More for the pros than for the cons - Quite a cosy place. Some suites have a balkony, which is nice. It has a convenient location too: eight minutes walk to Milan Cathedral and other places. It was hard to find a place to have breakefast so better to order it in the hotel. It was always fresh and versatile enough. Very friendly personnel. Air conditioner was making nose though, but it's four star hotel, let's not forget.

- PREETI (10/5): - Special shout to the gentleman and lady at the reception counter during checkin (on 20th, 21st, 22nd August ) - they were super amazing. They made our stay really comfortable and ensured that every need of ours was met. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Pleasure to see and play the record player which they provided in every room. Thank you to the men at the bar and breakfast counter too who made all the sumptuous dishes and the wonderful cappuccino <3 they went out of the way helping us with good rooms for family. It's a very central hotel 5-10min walk to the duomo. Loved everything. No drawback really.

The only socket/outlet beside the bed didn’t work, the tv didn’t work and the shower was extremely small. The room was very warm so not sure the aircon was working properly either. I only stayed one night so never raised any of these things so the lovely staff may have resolved but it was disappointing for a 4 star hotel.
- Melanie (6/5): Nettes Hotel, leider ‚Fehlgriff‘ mit unserem Zimmer - Frühstück war gut Personal sehr nett Die Lobby ist sehr nett eingerichtet - Es gab wenig Steckdosen (nur an einer Bettseite) - Es war sehr dunkel im Zimmer und im Badezimmer - Das System im Vorhinein mehr von der Kreditkarte abzubuchen, um es beim Checkout wieder zurückzuerstatten finde ich komisch (war dafür gedacht, falls etwas von der Bar oÄ konsumiert wurde) / die Rückerstattung hat jedoch ohne Probleme funktioniert - Das Badezimmer war leider alles andere als gut (dafür barierrefrei): - Nach dem Duschen stand das komplette Bad unter Wasser (da halfen selbst die 3 Badematten nichts) - Ich halte generell wenig von Duschvorhängen, aber dieser war auch noch bräunlich ab Bodennähe - Im Bad hat es sehr modrig gerochen - Die Handtücher hatten einen sehr unangenehmen Essiggeruch
