- Timothy (4/5): Dirty and poorly prepared for use. - Location and view from the apartment are great. Close to transport, stores and restaurants.
However, the actual accommodations left a lot to be desired.
Master bed was not made up when we arrived. There was a bag of linens in the room but the fitted sheet was missing. The mattress itself was filthy and stained. Ironically, had the bed been made, we likely would not have noticed.
The coffee machine was also not working and the freezer was iced up.
These matters were brought to the attention of the management team the night we arrived (7 Aug) but it was not until two days later that they were addressed on the morning of 9 August. At that point, we had a single night left to stay and realised we would have to live with the lack of sheets. They did offer to send over a sheet the last night but since we were out late, we were unable to get this. Other issues were not addressed.
Management did suggest we check the apartment for additional sheets and we only found the laundry room full of old dirty bedding a sheets and a pile of fresh ones marked as belonging to the owners.
The amount of dirty laundry in the laundry room rendered those facilities unusable as well, but fortunately we managed to make do with the clothes we had.
Other areas of maintenance left a lot to be desired. The review limits prevent further details - see pictures.
As compensation we were given a 50% discount on the cleaning fee (under $70) - a further insult given the troubles and filth. AVOID!!!
