Guest Reviews
- Rune (5/5): -
- Ian (5/5): Some good positives but various key issues need sorting - Location good . Room quiet. Room nice but some issues There was no wardrobe or rail to hang clothes. Had to hang them off the fireplace.
Would have been good to have milk sachets provided for tea/coffee.
The bathroom cabinet was shabby/ water damaged
The shower tray wasn’t supported sufficiently beneath and cracked

- Christel (9/5): -
- Jeroen (8/5): -
- Jackie Sedgley (9/5): We had an excellent stay at The York. - Flat 4 was very spacious. Very happy with this room.
Flat 2 was good but smaller and quite warm
Flat 5 same as flat 2, but told by my family some of the towels were slightly unclean, but overall loved the rooms.
Would book again. The stairs are quite steep, but we managed. There is a fan in the rooms which helped a little to keep it cool.
- Natalie (10/5): - Great location, very well connected to many places in London as well as the airport. Very clean and well equipped apartment.
- monica (10/5): - such a comfy bed!
- bev (8/5): Comfy bed. Good facilities. Great location. - Good position
N. Close to kings vross Bit moisey. Room faced the street
- Mushvig (4/5): - The property is located near kings cross station. Close to the underground and rail station. 1. There is no AC just a little dirty fan
2. When you open the windows to cool down the room there is a constant noise of the industrial fan working outside. It stops for 15 minutes and then works back again generating very unpleasant noise.
Since there is no AC you have work with it somehow.
3. You have to play around with shower regulator way too much to get to the right temperature for showering. Works inconsistantly.
- Zhiren (8/5): - Spacious unit and amenities compared to what’s available in the area. Self check in is fine. However, remote assistance can be better, e.g to offer WhatsApp, Line, or WeChat calls and messaging assistance rather than calls through a local line only, which is only available on a house phone located on the 1st floor of property (inconvenient)
- Kara (8/5): - Pub below and the busy street was noisy at times but it was a wonderful little flat!
- Marie (8/5): - The only bad thing, it you get the suite it’s 4 sets of super high stairs up, a nightmare to get suitcases up. Joyce at the Lincoln Arms pub is lovely though.
- Fabian (10/5): Small and just right - Rented a vehicle at St Pancreas to get out to Stourhead and this place was central to everything Small but amazing bed and pillows, made up from all the walking in the city and the small space. A typical London stay, I don’t care where you stay in London, trust me, just find centralized. Also, we could hear the people next door getting down after a night of fun, all good, everyone was on holiday, a meritful reward but not for everyone.
- Svitlana (9/5): -
- kylee (8/5): - Location was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Great studio, comfortable bed, good WiFi and transport links. A great base for our trip!
- YuChing (6/5): -
- Stacey (10/5): - Great location-clean, comfortable and easy. All the amenities we needed for a short one night
- Guest (10/5): perfect location and apartment x - bed was so comfy need more towels
- Todd (10/5): - Great location, great place to stay
- Glyn (8/5): - The Location is great. I stayed here before and had a front-facing room, which was better, the rooms have a small kitchen which is handy My rear-facing window had workmen directly outside it in the morning
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (1/5): Will not recommend stay here. - No breakfast was provided. Location is the only good thing. Property doesn’t have a lift. Our studio was on the 6th floor and we had to carry our suitcases up 6 flights of steep stairs.
- Shíona (10/5): Great spot, will definitely be back - Can’t recommend this place enough, literally right beside Kings Cross station so handy for travelling around and getting in and out of Heathrow, situated just above a lovely pub too. Place has also been renovated to a high standard and was really clean, thoughtful little touches in room such as tea coffee etc, smart telly, room service if needed, & plenty of sockets for chargers etc, and also a fan which was really appreciated with the weather. Will definitely be booking here & recommending for all future London trips
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to St Pancras - The location is very good for travel from St Pancras. The noise of renovations next door was not so great but that will be temporary. The owners take great care to keep the property at a high standard. A broken blind was fixed within hours of us reporting it. The space is 'cosy' for a couple.
- Rain (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Great location, convenient to many restaurants and cafes and close to Kings Cross Station. - Location was excellent. Access was good, I should have read the fine print because we were on the 3rd floor with no lift access and a bad back. Poor ventilation, one window that opened to an internal courtyard with no breeze and a pedestal fan that on high speed barely did the job. A ceiling fan or a small air conditioner would have done the job.
- Kristell (4/5): - Aucun contact physique
- jakki (10/5): - A great studio apartment in a fantastic location. Very modern yet characterful, and well appointed. I love the location overlooking the platforms and trains at Kings Cross. Naturally it is quite noisy because of where it is, but I expected it would be and took earplug’s for over night. Otherwise I liked the noise of the trains and the general hubbub outside. The apartment was warm but there is a good fan and the windows open. I would definitely stay here again.
- Marcus (4/5): - No AC, very uncomfortable bed. Location good.
- Amanda (10/5): - Really cozy apartment! Great location next to a train station, it was easy to get around the city via Tube. Twice during our stay we walked from the apt to Camden Market along the canal and it was so nice! This place had everything we needed
- Yiwen (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (9/5): Perfect for what I needed - Location was perfect for my needs and very happy Pret was literally on the doorstep. Not a lot you can do about it but building works next door were noisy fairly early in the morning.
- Buz (7/5): Nice spot, nice pad, good rate - Location was perfect, nice sized space and very modern, comfy bed, nice shower. Cheap rate compared to other stuff nearby. Fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher etc, table & chairs all really nice touches. Some fixtures and fittings were loose (shower, kitchen tap, lock to door was a security concern as was sellotaped). Needs an armchair or recliner in the place and there is room for it. I stayed in for the night and the dining chairs aren't comfortable after 20 mins and you can't see TV from bed.
- Usman (8/5): - Great location and excellent price. While there was some construction and general noise outside, it didn’t bother me much overall, I had a good stay.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Lucas (10/5): - Great stay! Lovely clean room in a great area right across from Kings cross station. The one thing to look out for is that our room was on the top floor and had 4 flights of stairs with no lift, no problem for us but could be an issue for others
- Jonathan (8/5): Good value next to Kings X - Great location next to Kings X. Clean rooms and well appointed for a couple of nights stay. Communication could have been better. We were given one room in confirmation the day before which was moved to another the day of.
- Suzanne (8/5): - Super convenient location. Apartment was as described. I stayed in apartment 6 on the 3rd floor, note the stairs are narrow and quite steep and there is no lift. Couple of things that would have turned this from good to excellent
1. Install a full length mirror in the room - a must!
2. Frosted glass in the bathroom, even with the blind, it felt quite exposing to have pretty much a full length window in the actual shower.
3. Invest in a decent fan - it wasn't too hot when I stayed, but the room got quite warm and the fan frankly didn't cut it on cooling the room down
- Veerasingam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (6/5): Acceptable - Room was ok Location/Access
- Hassan (10/5): Exceptional - It’s all online and private
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (9/5): Nice Flat - Very nice compact flat. Great location for Kings Cross Train station. Comfy bed and good shower. Easy to get into centre wirh St Pancras Tube close by. Nice bar below which we used, friendly staff. We could have done with extra towels to change used ones as we were there for four nights.
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Mathew (7/5): Fine for a night to two. - Good location. Comfy bed Road noise
One roller blind didn’t work meaning the sun came in early
Walls had lots of marks and needed a refresh - easy to remedy if the owner can be bothered
Limescale and minor mould in shower
Lack of attention to detail -
- Kevin (8/5): Great place but the pics are misleading - I don’t think it looked quite like the pictures but it was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Slightly smaller than expected but clean and convenient.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (10/5): H - This is my third stay at this hotel. The only drawback is the stairs, but the spacious and comfortable rooms, complete with a small pantry, make it feel like a home away from home. I would recommend this hotel for visitors with small luggage, as navigating with large bags can be challenging. During this stay, we encountered some issues with the toilet. However, as always, the staff were extremely helpful and provided 24/7 support to resolve the problem. Despite these challenges, we are happy to stay here again when we return to London.
- Brigida (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and bright with a super comfortable bed.
- Darren (10/5): - Perfect location. Good price. Great Facilities.
- Stephen (7/5): A good location and comfortable room. - Good location. Clean sheets and towels. Hot water in shower. New cutlery and crockery. Towel warmer in bathroom. Newly renovated room. If you are unable or unwilling to climb and descend multiple sets of steep narrow stairs with your luggage consider booking elsewhere. The room is small (15 square meters) and the bathroom was tiny. The cooking facilities are a microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The refrigeration compressors for the pub downstairs cut in and out all night. There is no contact with staff and no flexibility in the entry time to your room.
- Vivek (8/5): Great value in the Kings Cross transportation hub area - Location, cleanliness, price. App based key access to building and apartment No elevator, very steep staircase to get to 3rd floor. They do warn you about it.
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - Beautiful little apartment centrally located opposite coals yard, lovely little evening and stay here. Stayed last year in another apartment always clean and comfortable.
- Wilson (10/5): Exceptional - Our studio was spotless and the bed was comfy..... we found the location perfect for us and would definitely stay here again. The stairs I literally hated them after three days lol
- N (1/5): TERRIBLE - the bedding Deeply Disappointed – Unsafe, Unresponsive, and Unbearably Noisy
This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. Communication with the owner was incredibly difficult—my messages asking for help went completely unanswered. When I finally figured out how to get into the property (with no help or guidance), I was met with a hidden step down to a lower level. There was no warning, no sign, no tape—nothing. I fell and hurt my ankle quite badly. It was a complete shock and utterly avoidable if basic safety standards had been followed.
To make matters worse, the property was extremely noisy. It’s located right on a busy main road, overlooking King’s Cross station, and there were loud renovation works going on next door throughout the day. No peace, no sleep—just constant disruption.
Between the lack of safety, poor communication, and relentless noise, this stay completely ruined my trip. I left with a throbbing ankle, zero rest, and a strong sense that I’d wasted my money. Gutted.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): The York - Very clean, freshly decorated, quiet, lots of character. Very comfy bed. Electronic check in and door entry very straight forward. Not a problem for me but stairs are steep and narrow so may not be easy if you have heavy luggage. To be fair this is clearly pointed out when you book and it is part of the character of the building.
- Claire (10/5): - The host was very helpful and extended my check out as my daughter was poorly. Beautiful accomodation and close to the centre and train station. It was noisy when I stayed but only as there’s works being carried out next door. Will definitely be staying again.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Glyn (9/5): Great place, would stay again - The place is just where I needed to stay for work; the units are well appointed and comfortable I had a real faff getting in and had to phone the agent several times, that was all though
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kieron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosalie (10/5): It was what qe needed - Near Station Stairs
- Danny (8/5): Great studio in central location - It was a really nice, clean flat in an excellent location Two things, the TV was weirdly positioned on a bracket but still couldn’t be seen from the bed even if mood. Found the shower a little awkward to use. Other then that it was great, i was out most the day anyway, I would definitely come back
- Oliver (7/5): Great - Lovely studio. Didn’t really understand having a dishwasher but no oven!. The lock to the room was very awkward. The key code didn’t work and the key look some force to get in. Was a little uncomfortable that everyone’s room key was in a unlocked cupboard so everyone could access them Lovely studio. Didn’t really understand having a dishwasher but no oven!. The lock to the room was very awkward. The key code didn’t work and the key took some force to get in. Was a little uncomfortable that everyone’s room key was in a unlocked cupboard so everyone could access them
- Gary (5/5): Not for me - Location Cold flat, single pane windows, noisy traffic and revellers. Entering the flat via a link.
- Jiao (7/5): Good -
- Peter (5/5): Not the best. - The room was clean and well decorated. Despite being aware we were opposite the station, we were very disappointed that we weren't told on booking the room that major works were being carried out from 8am until 5pm literally right outside our window. Add to which the mattress was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on it made for a very unsatisfactory stay. Considering we paid the going rate, I think we should have been made aware and offered a discount or the choice of going elsewhere. To top it all I would advise travellers with suitcases to ask for first floor accommodation as there are no lifts and the staircases are so narrow it was a nightmare going up 3 flights of stairs to our room. There's a 4th,so beware.
- Asta (6/5): Pleasant - The bed was comfortable, close to the station. Upon arrival, the apartment was cold, the radiator was not working. Upon request, he came to fix it, but he didn't fix the radiator. But at least they gave a heater. The apartment was not cleaned well. When the dishwasher was turned on, water ran through the bottom. Permeable walls with other apartments, loud noise.
- Liucija (6/5): Pleasant - There was very cold in the apartment
- Nirmal (9/5): Superb -
- Katelyn (8/5): - Was a little difficult to find at first but otherwise was a pretty good stay!
- Lloyd (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Fab stay - Location location location No opening window, no view, bit too hot at times due to lack of ventilation.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Akio (8/5): Lovely and quant central flat - Location Noise. Complex checkin
- Ben (8/5): Very good - Done through phone
- Carla (8/5): Great location and very clean - Great location. Approx 5 mins walk to Kings Cross and Pancras Station. It was very clean with a lot of facilities provided. The room even came with a fan and extra heating. No elevator and we were on the top floor. No issue unless you’re carrying heavy luggage.
- Rachael (7/5): Good -
- Quratulain (10/5): Thank you, I had a lovely stay. - Great location, lovely clean space, help available easily and quickly on the end of a phone call.
- David (9/5): Great little studio in a fantastic location. - Great location and responsive staff via phone. There are up to four flights of narrow stairs, but we were able to navigate these with large backpacks and a four year old child. Great pizza restaurant across the road and close to a Tesco. Very minor point that the hot water in the shower can fluctuate and become very hot.
- Riina (7/5): Good - The room was quite noisy, first floow and next to the station and the road infront of it.
- Daniel (1/5): Not able to stay as key card broken - leaving us vunerable and with no accomodation in London - DO NOT USE! We were unable to access the property for our stay. The keypad had run out so we couldn't get in. We are also not being refunded by the property or booking.com - I would avoid both
- Bethany (9/5): Lovely stay in this convenient and clean apartment, we will stay again when we're next in London! - Very convenient location, very clean, had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. We were directly above the pub and heard no noise from it at all. WiFi was good. We stayed in November and if anything it was too warm! We had no problem using the door codes to get in and out. Not much space either side of the bed. Bathroom stayed very hot and steamy for a while after using it, partly because the shower was pretty hot. Otherwise all good!
- Terry (2/5): Very poor - Location is great, very close to Kings Cross station We were freezing cold in apartment. There was no working heating and London's temperature around freezing. The main heating out of order and the heating in bathroom had unattached electricity cable. Attempts to contact by calling, messaging and email were unanswered. Eventually found house phone in corridor and later a very small heater delivered. Needed to be under bed clothes to have warmth. Very unsatisfactory and no response, apologies or partial refund.
- Tin (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Menghsien (10/5): Wonderful , and looking forword for next visit. - Location can’t be better. Restaurants and shops just in steps. Kings cross is just right opposite.
- Jessica (7/5): Good - everything very modern. too many pillows, one had black marks on it.
creaky floor.
- Nicole (6/5): Pleasant - Clean, affordable, great location, easy to get in Lovely place but they misled about what room I was getting and didn't give me any kind of compensation even after sharing photos
