We had actually been trying to book a hotel up the road for convenience, however every time we tried to book the reservation cancelled. I rang to resolve, they refused to complete the booking over the phone, and pretty much told me I did not know what I was doing because of my age. So we went elsewhere. Your team was lovely, efficient and face us an upgrade. We are never staying up the road anymore. And we come down to Melbourne from Ballarat many times in the year.

- Cheong Yi En Joy (10/5): - Overall I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel itself felt very relaxed and comfortable and the staff were all very warm and helpful in our interactions. The room was spacious with one of the best beds & especially great pillows I've ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom shower was great but just my personal suggestion that perhaps a handle on the shower partition wall for safety would good as there's no separation and the whole floor could get wet and slippery. Small issue though, the provided floormats were helpful in this regard, very considerate! The neighborhood was very peaceful and convenient, with a big Coles down the street (5mins) with a variety of good grab & go / sit down dining options. The tram also stops directly outside , and you'll be able to see the hotel signage clearly which was super helpful for us as tourists! Definitely would recommend to couples/ small families for a fuss free and relaxing stay.

Only downside was there were no parking available at the motel when we checked in and so had to pay for overnight parking a block away, I’d expect free parking when paying for the premium room.

- Peter (10/5): Great with only 1 issue. - Great hotel, close to everything. Oniste parking is limited and is a bit of a pain to get into as your room key does not provide access to the garage. You need to be buzzed in by contacting reception when trying to enter. Gaining access from inside just needs the reception person to get you the lift.

Easy checkin - quiet, comfortable rooms, well designed & with all the essentials - bar fridge, smart TV, easy to program air cond (and a window you can open for fresh air), great bathroom and shower, drawers and hanging space and room to store your bag. The team in the restaurant and bar are attentive and knowledgeable - and a great breakfast to start the day is on offer. Roof top bar with city views is an added bonus.

We thought the room, whilst small, was full of clever features enabling us to have a very easy stay. Loved the bathroom design. The staff were all fabulous and welcoming and helpful. Great dining area - we had dinner and breakfast there (also an excellent cafe a few doors for another excellent breakfast with amazing menu. Also liked using the UBX gym a few doors up as the hotel’s gym - was much more fun than going to a sterile hotel gym. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

- Michael (10/5): - We had a 3-day stay here and could not have asked for more. Firstly, the staff are ultra friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother. The location was great as we had a birthday party down the road and a footy game at the MCG. Easy access from the airport as we travelled from Perth. Rooms were very clean; the key things for us were that the bed was super comfortable and the shower was terrific. We had breakfast at Ms Parker's each day which was well-priced and very tasty, and importantly the coffee was spot on! Coles was just down the road, so a few basics and snacks were acquired from there to fill up the mini-bar fridge. We would definitely stay at the Mottley again when we come back to Melbourne.

Great fit out, interesting art and soft furnishings, well appointed rooms, a cloud-like bed, soft sheets and towels, pod coffee to get you moving in the morning, and a cafe-restaurant downstairs. The staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. This boutique hotel is all class without the stuffiness.
- tamika (6/5): - it was alright, for the amount i would’ve expected them to at LEAST have water but nope i had to go out and buy my own bottles as i couldn’t even order any water from the bar. there was some stains on the bathrobe and a stain on the pillow.. plug socket in the bathroom also came out slightly when unplugging stuff.

- Laurie (6/5): - Beds were completely sagged we unzipped the beds and spun them hoping for a firmer mattress, was slightly better proving that the mattresses were rarely spun, beds seem to have been made every day but not the sheets changed basically poor house Keeping, Parking was a joke and the desk staff had no idea, telling us that the overnight parking was $15 which turned out to be $30 still cheap but their reply was it should be $15 per night, also the parking bay at the rear is a trap would not accept payment at the machine after 5pm or before 7:am so I was late by 1/2 an hr paying and had already received a $99 fine again the desk staff had no idea how it worked. That part of Richmond is terrible for food except for "14 Bridge rd" excellent Italian food and very friendly. We had a twin room setup which I believe was reasonably priced, the food at the hotel had a limited menu and was expensive, all in all we'll be staying further out of the city in future as it is not what it used to be

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I forgot my charger and they went out of their way to find one for me. Even though it was on a main road, the room was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was lovely, my only feedback is about the pillows, this is a very personal thing and impossible for a hotel to anticipate, there were lovely and fluffy but a bit too high for us. With that said we also didn’t check if there were options which I know many Hotels do. It certainly didn’t change the fact that we loved the Hotel and would recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in the Richmond area. The bar and breakfast were also fabulous. Thanks for a lovely stay.
