Guest Reviews
- Tristan (7/5): Beautiful Barossa Stay - Great location. Beautiful space. No fire wood provided. It could be pre purchased but I missed it unfortunately. Maybe include in cost of accommodation in future.
- Jacquie (9/5): A beautiful way to experience the Barossa - The location - close to Tanunda. Cabins are very private, the kitchenette has everything you need and being able to enjoy the great outdoors in luxury. Need to communicate that you need to provide 48 hours notice if you want a wood supply for the outside fire.
- Alanah (10/5): Beautiful place and location. - Outdoor bath and amenities! Need more privacy from other people when using the bath. Perhaps more trees?
And at night when walking to your car it’s pitch black. Could use some more path lights - solor ones
- Danielle (9/5): -
- Sophie (8/5): -
- michelle (10/5): - Had the best time
- Kieran (9/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): Beautiful, memorable & relaxing! - Relaxed location with comfortable glamping!
We looked out onto vines & roaming horses in next doors paddock. Needed an armchair to sit & read on.
- Fruin (7/5): Could Do Better - Shower was good, bed very comfortable, view was lovely. Actual room was excellent. We were given the wrong code to unlock the door which made me panic however when I emailed I was given the correct code but without an apology. Although the front seating area was undercover we couldn't sit there for long as there was no shade and it was very hot. While the outdoor bath on the verandah may appear to be romantic who's going to get their kit off when you can be seen by other people? I felt a disconnect as there is no owner or manager on site. Should be a 2pm check in not 3pm.
- Phoenix (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Awesome and enjoyable - Simplicity off grid, peace Mini ants in the kitchen
- Karyn (7/5): - Constant creaking noise, barely slept. Could do with better options for lounge type seating. Could do with some clothes hanging.
- Lawrence (10/5): So peaceful, serene and amazing views of the vineyards - beautiful nature. - Peaceful, surrounded by nature - just beautiful!! So far so good
- Chrysoula (5/5): - The location was perfect, very relaxing I was not happy how the sugar canister had ants in it
Couldn’t have a coffee
I would suggest to have sachets
The bed linen needs updating because it’s crispy fresh sheets and the coverlet was like it wasn’t washed regularly
- VICKI (10/5): -
- Dale (10/5): -
- Casey (9/5): - Loved this place for our anniversary, comfortable and loved the outdoor bath.. Great location!!! nothing
- Damon (10/5): -
- Ruby (9/5): Softest bed ever - Loved the room, located on a beautiful road full of palm trees. The a/c worked great in the heat. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on I loved it. Could benefit from some more things in the room like cards, games, etc to really enhance the off grid experience.
- Parneet (9/5): - The peacefulness in the location and they way tents were distributed apart from each other giving full privacy Liked everything
- Jemma (6/5): Well equipped but not as private as you think - The canvas glamping tent itself is well presented with a nice bathroom and modern kitchenette, it has everything you need.
It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
It’s located close to a few really nice wineries. I wouldn’t recommended this in Summer. When we arrived the canvas dwelling was so hot (luckily it does have aircon, but it took a long time for it to cool down and the air con is very loud).
Because of the position of the deck and the sun/hot weather we couldn’t even sit outside in the afternoon or use the outdoor tub as there was no shade. Also in Summer it doesn’t look at all like the photos (no lush green grass or surrounds, it’s barren and dry - not the properties fault but just something to keep in mind).
The photos also make it seem like you’re in a private oasis which isn’t really the case - we were located right near a main road which was loud and from our deck we were basically looking into someone else’s backyard and just had a view of their old trucks.
- Yvette (6/5): Thankful for the experience, left feeling relaxed. - Property was in a beautiful location, was close to many wineries and places to eat. The bath on the deck was wonderful we enjoyed this many times, under the stars was definitely a moment to remember. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Thought the garden area around the tent was fairly untidy there where very tall weeds and it was all very dry, there was a lot of ants in the tent and food that came out was covered in ants quickly, the drain in the bathroom was dirty and full of other peoples hair, there was also cob webs in the corners of the room. Would have been nice if the curtains were block out due to the sun coming in easily was hard to sleep in. Was hot during our stay and was hard to cool the tent down would be better staying in cooler weather.

- Michelle (9/5): Great and relaxing - Very quiet peaceful, has everything you need.

- Neil (7/5): - Accommodation itself is great, very novel and fun. Very clean and comfortable. The general surrounds are a bit disappointing. I understand the back to nature concept but you can do that and still have things look nice. It was mostly overgrown weeds and the car park had us wondering if we had the right place. Nice once in the cabin but very untidy elsewhere.
- Warren (1/5): -
- Pankaj (10/5): -
- Lucy (6/5): Enjoyable stay but was expecting more - Really comfy bed. Nice to have a Weber to cook on and a fire pit but don’t forget to bring your own wood and kindling. Location - at the time of booking I didn’t realise we would be so close to the main road. We were given the Myrtle cabin which was accessible and I’d say it’s approximately 10ish or so metres to the road. It’s disappointing to go onto the deck to have a bath and see people walking and driving past. I understand the bath is outdoors so it’s not going to stay immaculate but I had to clean it prior to use.
I was surprised there was no milk frother for the coffee machine.
If you are booking in winter bring warm clothes! We were cold for most of the weekend - had the heating on but I guess it just escapes the room.
We have stayed in many places across SA for weekend getaways and overall I was expecting more considering the price. It was still an enjoyable weekend but I wouldn’t stay again at that price.
- Jayme (10/5): -
- Ross (8/5): - Amazing location and setting. The tent fits perfectly into the local environment and the outside bath was great. It’s situated in the perfect area to explore barossa The tent wasn’t clean when we arrived. Sand + dirt on the floor with ants on arrival (understand it’s a tent so we sorted the ants ourselves). Dirty surfaces and hairs lying around and BBQ not cleaned
- Sienneh (9/5): -
- Tiarnni (9/5): Wonderful off grid experience which was perfect for a couples getaway - Location
New
Easy check in
As advertised
Mini bbq was great
Comfortable bed
Great air conditioning on a 40degree day in a tent Need more detail for when arriving on what to bring to the facility
Long walk from car park
More rubbish disposal areas
- Marianne (9/5): -
- Franziska (9/5): -
- Charlotte (10/5): Would recommend it to anyone - Really comfortable stay, had a lovely evening sitting out on the deck after a full day at the local wineries. Felt almost like a perfect European evening
- Julie (8/5): It was booked to allow a lunch at Fino so we could enjoy the wine and not have to drive. It was a 10 min walk to the win - Perfect location Nothing
- Vanessa May (7/5): -
- Simon (6/5): let down by late-night noise from nearby guests and unclear communication about the breakfast booking requirements. - The cabin itself was good and the location at Seppeltsfield is lovely. Overall, the place has a lot going for it.
Unfortunately, our stay was let down by noise. We were kept awake until around 1am by people partying in a nearby cabin. Given that the cabins are essentially tented structures without solid walls, noise travels very easily, and this really impacted our sleep.
It’s also worth noting that while the listing advertises an “exceptional breakfast”, this actually needs to be booked five days in advance, which wasn’t clear at the time of booking.
All in all, it’s a good place, but better noise restrictions and clearer communication around breakfast bookings would really improve the experience.
- Jennifer (7/5): -
- Tony (5/5): Great location but way to much noise throughout the night and early hours of the morning - Location Noisy neighbours, they had a baby and toddler waking us up throughout the night and then woken up by a rooster at 5am. Also very close to road and highway. Heard cars and truck exhaust brakes all night.
- federica (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): -
- Gemma (10/5): -
- Mark (8/5): -
- Farrow (10/5): it was amazing - everything nothing
- Khanal (5/5): -
- Yasemin (10/5): -
- Cameron (6/5): A great concept but neglected - The location, the toiletries Very long lawn/weeds
Messy exterior
Dirty3floor inside
Broken dining table that we couldn't use
Dirty shower
- Liz (8/5): Cosy and lux glamping - Tents were really cosy and while private worked well as we were in a group. Plenty of chairs tables and kitted out kitchen Not a lot - would have been nice to have firewood available - I know we could have preordered but as we didn’t have a car with us (hired a minibus on Fri and Sunday and just walked on Sat) it would have been more convenient. The drains in the shower were quite blocked so the bathroom flooded pretty easily
- Katherine (8/5): Easy, convenient, clean and fun. - Easy to extend stay , great location. Didn’t have key code for lock box until requested. Almost had to book somewhere else.
- Brooke (8/5): - The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor bathtub (with beautiful hot water) out front was delightful, regardless of the chilly evening, and we both enjoyed our short stay! The cleanliness could be improved- for example: the Weber Q was not cleaned properly by previous guests and we discovered some rubbish that wasn't ours underneath the bed. Lastly, the drain for the shower was filled with what appeared to be hair and debris causing the shower area to promptly flood over the shower floor into the bathroom area, meaning we had to use this amenity sparingly so we would not damage the cabn with water as there was no other drainage in the bathroom to protect damage from occurring.
- Matt (1/5): Overpriced and misleading - Nothing. Was not like it was advertised.
- Kelvin Chew (9/5): CABN CANVS : an off-grid luxury, spacious comfort, serene nature - a nostalgic glamping experience! - It was exactly as advertised - off-grid, eco-friendly design and luxurious comfort!
We got the 'Kara' CANVS and enjoyed the serene views and tranquil sounds of nature, bugs, birds, etc.) every morning & evening. Kitchen was well equipped (and can have an extra cooking pan). Bathroom was very spacious beyond my expectation. Room was spacious with comfortable bed & pillows.
Looking forward to try out the other CABN properties 😀
(p/s - highly recommend to bring along firewood, the dancing fire in the pitch-black surroundings at night is a surreal sight) nothing 😂
- Joanna (4/5): Disappointing so much so, we couldn’t think of a price that would lure us back - Comfortable beds
Outdoor bath Light , hot water, heating varied from poor to barely functional
Greasy bbq
A so called fire pit with no wood to burn or lighteners only the remains of eggshells and a meal
Only autogenerated communication. - no response on phone
Security pop ups on emails about clicking on lists and telephone number associated with data theft
Location information only provided a few hours before arrival
Light in kitchen too dull to even read microwave knobs during daylight
In Seppelstsfield you are NOT in the wild you are surrounded by a paddock full of neighbours
Wear swimmers to bath outside
Being asked to bring all food, water, take rubbish at this price point with poor functionality starts to suggest poor value for money.
- Sandra (10/5): The accommodation was sensational - The facility was excellent The winery was closed at 3pm , way too early
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Lauren (8/5): -
- Elena (10/5): -
- Anchen (10/5): We loved every minute - The view
The bath
The whole layout The salt pot was empty
Not the venues fault but the wind last night was so wild woke up at about 02:30 because of the wind
- Evita (10/5): - Wonderful stay, sunset & sunrise bath with the sound of nature ❤️
Super comfortable bed.
- Vicky (10/5): Unique accommodation to make amazing memories - Great location, unique accommodation with amazing views, loved the bath and firepit. Loved the Kara, the best spot for privacy, view and to watch sunset.
Beautiful linen, towels and kitchen set up was great.
Will be highly recommending to friends and family. Tiny issues, just noisy if windy and bed a little soft for us. Still wouldn't put us off staying again.
- Jacob (9/5): -
- Dinil (10/5): Loved it! - Loved everything, brilliant stay The wind really makes it difficult to have a quiet night because of the noise the canvas makes, a quirk of the place
- Mary (9/5): - Private Just needed to fill the salt and pepper shakers and take the crumbs out of the bottom drawer please! Otherwise great
- Alex Uilian (10/5): - The location is amazing. Everything is a few minutes drive away. The cabin is great, perfect for a few days of relaxation. Amazing bed and bathtub. The only downside was the wind, we had a stormy night and it got a bit inconvenient. Ahh and maybe adding a grill plate for the BBQ would be a good idea.
- Clair (9/5): -
- Shannon (8/5): Fantastic -
- David (9/5): -
- Fidler (10/5): -
- Michael (6/5): Overall ok but would not stay there in the middle of winter. Outdoor fire pit was great. - Location
Fire pit Freezing cold and the air conditioning wasn’t warming up the room
- Amanda (7/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): -
- HYUNJOO (10/5): - Had really great time with my partner;) Good location, the best bath tub and fire pit. Everything was exceeded my expectations! We enjoyed every single moments, definitely go back again for the future. Nil
- Abbie (4/5): Beautiful location but not worth the money or the lack of sleep due to noise. - Great location, outdoor bath was a win. With only mild wind the entire CANVS was shaking and was incredibly loud and frustrating. When the wind picked up later in the night it was impossible to sleep and we actually didn’t stay our planned second night due to this.
The communication was very poor - we only received details of the CANVS after calling multiple times (with no success) and multiple emails.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adriel (8/5): Very good -
- Hayley (10/5): It was amazing - The location was amazing as we were only 30 mins out Nothing we had the best weekend
- Scarlett (8/5): Very good -
- Tui (7/5): Good - The location , beds were very comfortable The bathroom door knob was broken and we got breakfast included but was delivered a hamper to be expected to cook out on the Webber in the rain. Would of been nice to have an option to not cook on the Webber in the rain and freezing wind
- Joanna (9/5): Superb -
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sujan (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (10/5): Great stay, enjoyed all of the facilities and everything it had to offer. Would definitely recommend - Really enjoyed the accommodation and the facilities were great. The outside bath is the highlight but we loved using the fire pit and the room and bed were extremely comfortable. The bathroom and kitchenette area were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It is in a really good location close to everything you would need. This is not a knock on the facility but we stayed in the billie cabin and you do get some road noise at night (which I know CANVS can’t really do anything about). The other thing is that when we were in the bath there is a view from the road and some cars stop there and look in - I would suggest planting some bushes to block the road view to give a bit more privacy.
These are minor things though and we really did enjoy our stay.
- Simonde (9/5): Was beautiful - Was great we had an excellent time. The only issue was that the heater was very loud and kept waking us up. The filter needs to be cleaned so you have no noise. We have the same heater. Only one minor other thing was that the windows were not cleaned. It's nice to look out onto the deck with a clean window. Window and heater, as stated above.
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jatin (10/5): Exceptional - Enviroment and easy to access site
- Riya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (10/5): Amazing experience, we will be back - Very well set up glamping tent, bathroom was great as was the small kitchen and bed was comfortable Liked it all :)
- Vanessa (10/5): Awesome - Scenery Was all good
- Annie (8/5): Very good -
- Marne (10/5): Sunset spot - Great cabin. So pretty and new. Sunset was amazing. Freezer needs a defrost and bbq needs a deep clean. But otherwise great setup.
- Larmer (10/5): Magical Getaway to the Barossa. - The property is at a fantastic location that works for getting to all the wineries and is a short walk to Seppeltsfield. While being close to the action it also feels secluded and private. The outdoor bath is fantastic! The tent like nature makes you feel like your glamping but the tiled and sleek bathroom feels more akin to a luxury hotel. The kitchen facility is pretty equipped and there has clearly been a lot of thought into the tools left for guests and you will want for nothing. However, brought an electric stove top which helped with cooking meals. We messaged prior to our stay to ask questions about check in, adding extra time to a last minute late check out and how to get around once we landed and our messages were responded to very quickly and helpfully. We would recommend to everyone, and we will also be back again! Thank you!
- Carolynb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (9/5): We had a fabulous stay. The bath was a treat and the room so comfortable. - Beautifully clean and comfortable. A little pricey compared to other properties
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
