Guest Reviews
- Tim (6/5): Quiet and off grid. Take a good book and it’s nice enough. Would - Nice location. Quiet. Ants in the room. No tv. Plate was chipped but replaced when asked. Dirty glasses and windows. No storage for suitcases or clothes. Lounge seats were uncomfortable and needed their own space. If I was building one of these I’d make the bathroom much smaller and allow for a lounge type area around the fire.
- Peter (7/5): Clean, modern getaway in a good location. - It was in a convenient location in Barossa. Good facilities and nice to have a dry sauna. Some of the fixture requires more Maintenance eg bath tap falls off, sink tap loose). For a stay of 4 nights, it would have been good to have some new linen, empty rubbish and some new breakfast supplies.
- Ben (8/5): Great location , great facilities, modern. - Sauna & Bathroom Bbq was dirty ( was not clean )
- Diana (9/5): -
- Cherie (8/5): - Fabulous breakfast hamper - amazing
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Bradley (7/5): Nice - Location. No one else around Freezer was full of ice and needed to be defrosted. Door frame needed repairs. Piece fell of during the night. Scared the #@*% out of us.

- Tammy (10/5): Quiet, tranquil and beautiful getaway, a short car ride from shops and amenities. - Quiet tranquil location, beautiful tiny house as pictured.
- Bailey (8/5): -
- Ocea (6/5): Loved the location and concept but very underwhelmed by the cleanliness and attention to detail & inclusions. - Location and proximity to Seppeltsfield Estate/Winery was amazing & close to Tanunda which was handy for our plans. Very over-priced for the quality and inclusions.
Stained lounge chairs, loose bathroom tap ware (felt like it was going to fall off), BBQ handles loose, exposed nail sticking up on front entrance steps, no face towels (flannels)/nothing to wash face with. Would be good value for $250/night but definitely not what I would expect for around $500/night.
- Priscilla (7/5): Overall decent. - I staying at cabn Austin. It is very cosy and there are complete set of kitchen utensils including pots, pans, knives etc. There is also a sauna which is very nice and you can stargazed why you lay down on bed. Cleanliness can still be improved. The bed linens looks old as there are a few patches of yellow stains (not sure if it is unclean or old stains)
- Kylee (10/5): Best relaxing luxurious weekend away - It was by far the best wedding anniversary weekend away. We had the breakfast included, couldnt fault it, the cabin was luxurious, we will definitely be doing another Cabn X experience Nothing
- Antony (10/5): Relaxing and fun night away from the kids - just what we needed! - Distance from any other cabin. Quiet & secluded .
Nice styling. Facilities were good. Good bbq, great bathroom and sauna. Automatic Skylight. Nice interior lighting Few ants making their way around inside and outside but nothing to worry about.
Few different remotes though didn’t quite know what they were for; Didn’t see a booklet with any info to assist.
- Rodolpho (10/5): -
- Tia (9/5): -
- Annabel (9/5): Luxury in the vines - a delicious, fun weekend. -
- Amanda (10/5): - Amazing location, great amenities, really comfortable bed! Loved our stay.
- Christie (10/5): -
- Jason (9/5): - Great location, great private cabin
- Roxanne (7/5): -
- Pui San (6/5): Is a good experience - The view and the concept of digital detox. Sauna and bathtub facilities are great. The room is a bit dusty and the bbq facilities are not that clean. The lights are quite dim in the kitchen space too.
- Fiona (10/5): -
- Glen (9/5): Lovely cabins walking distance to two great wineries - Beautiful well appointed cabins. Loved the sauna and the gas fireplace. Great location for visiting Sepptlesfield and Hentley Farm wineries (walking distance) A better bottle of wine from Sepptlesfield (as in photos) would have been nice. Outdoor areas could be nicer (some cabins view car park)
- Loretta (3/5): Was not worth the money. Very overpriced. - Location Was dirty, no dishwashing liquid. Bed was terrible.
- Stevie (6/5): Average - Central location for the Barossa Falls well short on luxury and privacy
- Matthew (7/5): A different experience with a few niggles. - Quality fitting. Great sauna & gas fire. Just about everything needed was provided.
Breakfast provisions plentiful. Wine included :-)
Very clean Nice towels etc. Unfortunately the pocket door to the bathroom got stuck in the closed position on 1st use - got it open after a struggle & didn't use it again.
Ice compartment iced up & couldn't close the door - hasn't been defrosted in xx months?
Hard to believe the bed was a quality item - very soft & sags in the middle. Painful & the worst feature of the cabin.
- Irene (10/5): Barossa retreat - Very relaxing stay, gorgeous place, loved the fire-pit, private sauna and views. Only minor issues, fridge was missing door rack so couldn't put open bottle of wine in there, no reply from host when pointed it out. Stools very flimsy, worried they would break when sitting on. Robes and slippers would have been nice as bathroom tiles were freezing. Otherwise enjoyed the region and wineries.
- Nick (9/5): -
- Zeno (10/5): AMAZING! Definitely have breakfast included as they supply you with bacon and eggs to cook on the Webber. Fire pit is un - EVERYTHING
- Mark (6/5): Was okay but probably wouldn't recommend or return - Location and peace and quiet There were NO WINE GLASSES, not sure if it was an oversight but Champagne, gin and water all there.
If your going to have Floor to Ceiling glass windows and a Glass Skylight at least CLEAN THEM so you can see out.
Sorry to say but giving us a TINY carton of Devondale milk which only does two cups of coffee is RIDICULOUS for a $500+ a night Cabin.
- Jayson (10/5): -
- Alessio (8/5): Excellent couples retreat in the heart of wine country, great blend of luxury and an immersion in nature stay - Fire pit, sauna, yummy local produce in the fridge to cook breakfast, location, spacious bathroom Despite mattress protectors having been added (probably since recent reviews) the bed still is really quite hard!
Also would have loved a bit more seclusion between other cabins but this is something you do know when you book it.
- Jade (10/5): -
- Beth (9/5): Superb -
- Tracey (10/5): Relaxing short stay that left us feeling refreshed and revived - The most relaxing vibe
- Jill (10/5): Fantastic spot, highly recommend! - CabnX was incredible! It was super modern, clean & had everything we needed for a cosy winter weekend away! We loved the firepit & fire indoors. Nothing, it was brilliant!
- Joanna (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamilla (4/5): Over rated and over priced - Facilities Dirty and the bad smell was overwhelming when we walked in
- Leith (8/5): Very good - Bed not great and pillows need a primp
- Mihir (10/5): - Very well appointed self-contained cabins. Perfect escape for those looking to go off grid for a day or 2
- Raechel (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful self contained cabin that has all you need for a quiet getaway in the Barossa valley
- Harp (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (8/5): Very good - The windows need cleaning, especially the moon roof to see the stars was particularly dirty
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (9/5): Superb -
- Barry (10/5): - The stay is a unique and high-quality experience in a great location
- Stephanie (7/5): Good - We loved the location, and had heard a lot about CABN so we were excited to visit! Unfortunately, the toilet had not been flushed prior to us visiting and there was a bug in the bed.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Capobianco (7/5): it was very relaxing and a nice time with my partner making memories. - it’s a very nice idea, and we loved the bbq and sauna. we loved how it was very couple orientated. we loved the shower and bath with the bath table. we loved how we could cook our own meals and how many pots, pans, cutlery etc. were provided. it is a very nice area of the barossa region to stay in with a nice modern vibe to the cabn. overall, loved the couple of days we spent there just wished it was a tad more private. upon arrival first thing we noticed was we would get an electric shock every time we touched the ground entrance door, and inserting the key you could see a visible ark from the door to key, so definitely some electrical issue relating to the building there. the bbq was also very dirty upon arrival so we had to give a deep clean before use as can be seen in photos. as we went to use the bbq we found the igniter was broken and not functioning properly which my partner got to work in the end. one of the wooden outside chairs was broken on the armrest which also can be seen in the photo provided. also, we felt that it wasn’t really private as it was advertised as our cabin looked straight into the carpark and is exposed to the main road. in conclusion for the price i was expecting better and a more private getaway, the other cabins were definitely more private than ours.
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronte (7/5): Good -
- Theothori (9/5): GREAT - The Cabin was awesome, clean, well-appointed, luxury stay, complimentary bottle of sparkling white wine from Seppeltsfield was a nice gesture, the sauna was a nice touch and had great views.
Very relaxing and close to some great wineries Hentley Farm, Seppeltsfield and Rockfords in close proximity. Staff arrange late check out which was great for a small fee. Have stayed at similar Lux cabins before at Mc Laren Vale who provided basket of goodies from local area enabling us to cook breaky in the morning in the same price range with a later check out for no extra cost. If that was provided would be 10/10 experience when compared Cabin X who gets 9/10 otherwise all good.
- Kirsteen (6/5): Pleasant but for the price it should have been exceptional - I love tiny homes and it was very luxurious Our cabin looked straight into the carpark.
Not very private when sitting on the porch and watching cars come in and out
- Ayanda (8/5): Very good -
- Ashlee (10/5): The most relaxing, luxury stay in the Barossa - Everything! Especially the sauna and how relaxing it was Nothing !
- Robbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivana (9/5): Quiet, pleasant and enjoyable - Breakfast inclusions were generous and thoughtful. Sauna and gas fireplace was a great addition. Nice, quiet and relaxing stay! Perfect for winter! Cleanliness probably needed a bit more attention with armchairs and the bed cover being victim to stains.
- Vidhya (10/5): Amazing.. sauna , bath n bed - Good choice, should have included more choices, breads, cheese. No dishwasher, cleaning facilities during stay
- Lora (9/5): We enjoyed it. Liked that there was no tv and just peaceful. - The fact there was not too many people around. Was in the Austin cabin. People could see in the sauna from other cabin. Maybe needs a bigger fridge.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Livvy (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (10/5): Luxury stay assured, style elegance in a neat package - Location, styling and the finishes. You pay a little more than a usual getaway but the luxury and style everything you need is right here When we first drove up the properties looked a little close to each other. But as the night fell it didn’t matter properties were well positioned from one another. I only raise this as the website picture indicated properties were further apart. I’d also suggest a light above the bbq. But these are only minor items
- Tim (8/5): Enjoyed the cabin, nice for a weekend getaway. Had everything we needed. - It was a well designed, clean cabin. Enjoyed the stay, not too far out of some towns The light attached to the fan wasn't working which was a shame but everything else was good.
- Joel (8/5): Felt high-end inside, caravan park outside. - lux fit out, sauna was great, all the touch points including kitchen ware were high end. Bed was amazing (for us) as was its coverings. indoor gas fire great heat and look. Velux above the bed was a cool touch. Outdoor cooking area, deck, fire pit all nicely done. Products and produce all great quality. Breakfast pack was perfect for the two night stay. Proximity to other guests - marketed as far more private than in reality. View of the CANVS glamping tents in front and their outdoor baths. Hearing conversations and music from glamping tents. Communal gas cylinder, skip bin, car park all visible from the accomodation. Velux glass not clean, sauna windows not clean, shower glass not clean. Not enough towels for both guests to allow for showers and the sauna. No hand towel.
- Vicki (9/5): Superb - Great location to explore the Barossa. Very private and peaceful but still close to restaurants and wineries. Cabin was well-equipped and comfortable. Host Jess was very responsive when assisting with a water outage due to an external issue. The addition of a small dishwasher would be good to ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen items, some of which required cleaning before use.
- Alannah (8/5): very relaxing, good location. very good attention to detail, was shocked at how much was in the cabin (kitchen wise) - modern
sleek
location
gift basket and wine was a nice surprise bit dirty
- Megan (7/5): Fun for a short time, however I wouldn’t return. - The novelty of staying in a cabin is nice. For the most part the cabin was pretty good, the location is good, it was quiet and peaceful. The attention to detail is really missing. The cabin wasn’t overly clean (cobwebs in the curtain railings, there was a drink bottle lid left next to the bed etc.). The stools don’t fit properly under the table. We were provided 2 towels (although we found another 2 in the sauna) for a four night stay - which makes things difficult because the bathroom is so cold they took forever to dry. There’s no recycling bin or food scraps bin to support sustainability. All minor things, but for $625 a night, I would expect these details to be considered.
- Chanelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (4/5): Disappointing - 1/ stove dirty
2/ saucepans and cutlery had dried food on them
3/ freezer filthy
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (10/5): - What a wonderful escape! Our CABN X had everything you could need. The kitchen was incredible well stocked, loved the deep soaking tub and sauna, the location was in a perfectly serene area of Barossa surrounded by outstanding wineries and just minutes from the bike trail. It appears the “community” of Cabns is new. They have planted 100’s of native plans and give it a year the privacy between cabins will be excellent. The designers have really thought of EVERYTHING. My only constructive comments: The lodges are dark for my persons taste. I would recommend comfy beds with roll out drawers underneath for storage but otherwise it was perfect! I was shocked by so many modern amenities. Highly recommend.
- Fabian (10/5): Very nice stay - Very nice Cube, Sauna top, Weber Grill top, comfy bed
- Alexandra (8/5): Excellent highly recommend - Great location
Use of sauna
Luxury finishes
Velux skylight Breakfast pack didn’t include any local produce like other places offer but still had all the essentials we needed
- Lee (8/5): A great place to use as a base to explore the Barossa and relax for a few days. - Good location and walking distance to Seppeltsfield winery and Fino restaurant. Cabin reasonably well appointed with wood to enjoy the fire pit on cool evening. Didn’t use the sauna but seems like a fun idea The overhead fan which was also the main light wasn’t working, probably a flat battery in the remote controller. The Bluetooth speaker is a great idea but was flat so only useful inside and we wanted it out in the deck. There was no body lotion. All minor things but this is not cheap accommodation
- Hannah (4/5): Disappointing. - The cabin's geographic location was well situated with a rental car. It was a short 15 minute drive to the nearest town with amenities, and easy to be picked up by a local wine tour. Self checkin/out was seamless with accurate information passed from our hosts. The cabin was nice, and the bathroom was clean. Our cabin at the back was fairly close to other cabins, and whilst the hosts requested that we park in the main car park, there was a car that always drove on a side track right by our bedroom window and parked in front of our sauna view. The closeness of the cabins was misrepresented in the advertisement (in which there was a distinct lack of pictures of the other 6 (?) cabins in close proximity to each other).
The instructions to turn on the air con/fan weren't very clear, and it took us a few attempts to turn these on. In Sep/Oct, the black cabin bakes in the sun, so we definitely felt the lack of cooling. The screen doors don't latch in any way, so if you want the breeze, small bugs do come in (and congregate on the bed).
It was unclear if the bedding was clean, as there was dust/dirt in the bed. The doona didn't have a doona cover over it, and the base sheet wasn't a fitted sheet (it was just a normal sheet), so did come undone.
If the hosts were more upfront about some of these details, we wouldn't have chosen this accommodation (especially at nearly 1000 a night).
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Becky (10/5): Exceptional - Just stunning - every detail has been though about. High end, you feel secluded even those there are other CABN’s around. Perfect spot
