sanne (8/5): Charming hotel with easy access to the train station - It’s a charming hotel with an old lift and beautiful stairs. The room is compact and modern and it was right across the street from Gare du Nord which was perfect because we had an early morning train to catch. Breakfast is very pricey for what you get. The lift is really slow and we were all the way on the 7th floor. The room was also a bit warm and there was no mini fridge for drinks.

Did not get the original room that i booked as even though check in was at 14:00 and I arrived at 14:30 the room was still not cleaned and I was told it would be at least another 30 minutes and the receptionist suggested to take a room on 2nd floor that was supposedly the same as the one I would have gotten on the 5th floor. As I was tired I took the suggested room by the receptionist as I did not want to wait for at least another 30 minutes to get my original room. The room was clean but first thing you would notice is that it is not sound proof as advertised. You would hear absolutely everything what was going on in the hall way especially when the cleaners would come early and start knocking on the doors to clean, it would literary wake you up as it would feel like there is no wall or door in between your room and the hallway also you could hear now street noise as on lower level but that was the least of the issue. The air condition was basically nonexistent as it would do absolutely nothing just make a bit of noise, most of the time it would switch off and the room would be turning hot, completely useless. The shower was taking long time to heat up. som of the handles where quite loose and felt like could fall off, like for example the balcony door handle and shower button cover. Anthony (8/5): Perfect location to explore Paris and the perfect base if you are travelling by Eurostar. - Location was perfect if you arrive by Eurostar - step out of the terminal and it's pretty much the first hotel you see. It's right next to the Gare du Nord metro and so perfect for exploring the city. The area is a little noisy, and this continues all through the night, but the hotel is pretty sound proofed and it didn't affect our sleep or enjoyment.

Laura (10/5): Would highly recommend - a fabulous little hotel, full of heart - Location is perfect - opposite Gare du Nord Small but perfectly formed. Homely, warm and very inviting. Room was just what we needed and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on during a hotel stay. Breakfast start time was great, if like us you want an early start to miss the queues etc. For some reason, maybe it’s a French thing, but there were no bath towels only hand. 😊

Everything was exceptionally clean and in good state, and I wanna highlight the incredible friendly staff which I didnt expect from Paris. the area around the hotel can feel a bit sketchy (which it technically is not), but that is typical to the regions around train stations in Paris

Butler (10/5): Nog beter dan we gehoopt hadden - Prachtige plek en perfecte locatie zo bij Gare du Nord. ‘s avonds niet de beste plek om buiten rond te dwalen maar dat is nooit bij stations. Binnen is het heel stil, ramen zijn erg goed geïsoleerd! Het zijn prachtige kamers, schoon en comfortabel. Personeel is super! Aardig en meedenkend.
