Guest Reviews
- Wesley (10/5): Clean and comfortable. Great for a business or tourist trip - Clean and comfortable. Very cool that it's a smart apartment. Everything was great.
- Tim Lawrence (9/5): Stylish and spacious and clean high quality apartment. Great location - Great apartment. Easy to access. They send a code for the front door and a code for the apartment door, so very easy to access the property. Generally access was pretty easy but there are some stairs to navigate throughout the building but there are lifts to get to floor 1 and 2. Some of the apartments sill have some stairs to navigate to get into though.
Space in the apartment was great. Sofa was comfy, as were the beds. Nice little office table which you can work from and a really great kitchen. Nice selection of pans. No small pans though. But 2 large pans, and 2 decent non-stick frying pans. Good selection of cutlery and kitchen utensils. Kitchen knives were terrible though. Just very cheap and a bit blunt. If you plan on cooking while you stay I'd bring one decent kitchen knife. All other utensils were great though. Good washing machine and dryer. They provide some of those washing machine detergent sheets which worked well. Towels were nice.
Generally it's a much better option than a hotel for the same money. Much more space than a hotel room and we had a beautiful balcony overlooking the park outside. Parking on the street was possible (paid parking between 8am-10pm). I parked right outside to unpack the bags, then moved the car to a different suburb with had some free parking. Really great location. 2 minute walk to Barangaroo Metro, and the park leads to the Barangaroo coast walk which was excellent. Woolworths Metro at Barangaroo is about a 10-15 min walk, but no other supermarkets close by. Excellent Japanese up the road and the Palaside hotel is opposite the apartments, which is great. Only a 10 minute walk to the Rocks / Circular Quay, with lots of food options and markets on the weekend. Bathroom was nice but quite small. Shower was really great, but the door to get in would only open one way (inwards) and the shower cubicle was very cramped, so if you are a bit larger/wider I don't think you'd get through the door and in the shower. I'm pretty slim and I had to squeeze through. The door should have opened outwards too, but it had been fitted badly so it caught at the top of the door so wouldn't open outwards, which would have solved the issue. Bathroom was clean and functioned as you'd want though, so no real complaints. Shower is excellent. Good pressure and nice body wash/shampoo/conditioner provided.
- Carrie (7/5): Great location, ok space inside although least comfy bed on our month long trip. - Its location great. Also full of hi tech controls - not so great for elderly relative. On booking, the photos suggested outside space and /or a view. There was neither in our flat. This misleading advertising, not helpful.
- Liya (9/5): Prime location, within walking distance to Darling Harbour, The Rocks, and Circular Quay. -

- Anthony (10/5): -
- Rox Andreucci (10/5): Such a beautiful studio apartment and perfect location... -
- Jenefer (5/5): - The control of all electrical appliances via the wall mounted iPad was probably beyond the average person at the moment, given that a lot of people over 70 are travelling a lot. Very unsettling to be dependent on the wall mounted iPad controlling all appliances.
We experienced all our lights blinking non stop. The support team did not appear to be willing to come and help. … Friday early evening. There were no onsite personnelle to ask for help ……of any kind.
Manuals /directory help were not in the apartment…. Would have been helpful, especially to those over 60 years.

- Stephenson (6/5): -
- Jan (10/5): Perfect - Clean, spacious, close to metro
- Lucinda (9/5): - Great layout and view! We loved the location, with plenty to do within walking distance. The light system was a bit tricky to understand
- Sebastian (10/5): -
- Mangahas (10/5): Dreamy - I liked it’s cleanliness and the high tech controls of its warm lighting. Most of all, I like the beautiful view of the balcony and the glimpse of the Harbour Bridge. I liked everything
- Sarsha (10/5): -
- TEERAYA (8/5): - It was good. Has a specious room.
- Edgar (10/5): -

- Garry (7/5): A quiet, comfortable stay for a couple of nights. - The apartment size is good for 1 - 2 people for a couple of days.
The bed was comfortable, and the apartment is quiet.
The location is convenient, with only a short walk to Pier One, The Rocks and other areas of Sydney CBD. Upon entering the apartment there was a pool of water on the kitchen floor, which appeared to have come from the dishwasher. There was a mop available so we used that and didn't use the dishwasher during our stay.
Whilst there were a few coffee pods, a small supply of tea bags would have also been appreciated.
- Sue (10/5): - The property was perfectly located, easy walk to the main attractions and had everything we needed.. better equipped than my own home - a great stay Thank you Nothing to not like
- Victorino (10/5): - Amazing apartment , clean and modern . Will book there again !
- Shu-Chuan (9/5): -
- Gill (10/5): Fabulous apartment with a train station nearby and lovely area and views. - The location and the new modern decor No Mattress protector on one of the beds. You can see the mattress directly through a very thin sheet. This doesn't seem very hygienic and the mattresses won't stay in tip top shape for very long. The owners stated this is normal practice.
The heating didn't work over 20C and it felt cold. This needs a service or there is an outside control on this stopping the unit being adjusted.
The towels were extremely thin and only 3 for 3 people the period we were there. The body wash was empty.
No extra rugs or blankets to keep warm.
- Rachael (10/5): Fabulous location, apartment and host. - The location was brilliant, close to The Rocks, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. The apartment was so beautiful. Everything was fresh, modern and comfy. Nothing.
- vivienne (4/5): - The location was the only thing we liked Water pressure in wash basin practically a trickle, microwave extremely noisy, poor functioning lights, could not switch on bedroom lights, bed very very uncomfortable (dipping in the middle). No change of towels during stay. Invasion of privacy, had to give Drivers licence or passport details and submit to facial recognition. Will never ever stay with Urban Rest properties. Have informed authorities they have my personal details
- Ani (10/5): -
- Conrad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carrie (10/5): Perfection - This apartment was simply perfect in every way! The location couldn't be better, the entire place was spotlessly clean, and the views were amazing. It was so comfortable and relaxing, and the smart appliances were a fantastic bonus. Best of all, it was incredibly quiet.. An outstanding stay! N/A
- Liza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katy (9/5): Great - Perfect spot. Lovely and clean, tidy and had every that we needed Nothing
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Jaymcewen (9/5): Superb -
- Dianne (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything.
Was beautiful
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madeleine (8/5): Loved it - Beautiful decor, well equipped, great location
Spacious, clean, great kitchen, comfortable bed Couldn’t find the front door intercom. Bit of noise from upstairs- converted house. If this would bother you, go for an upstairs unit
- Eileen (4/5): - The apartment was stunning but definitely needs proper cleaners as black mold round the sink and shower isn’t a good look. We thought our view was of the Sydney bridge but it was a grass verge with Rats running in and out all the time then we discovered cockroaches in the lounge. So it’s a no from me
- Younis (5/5): Passable -
- Gracyn (5/5): Would not stay here again. - Great location and easy to access, check in and out. The air conditioner didn't work for the length of our 3 day stay, we called/emailed multiple times and twice maintenance staff visited - first saying it was working when it was not, and secondly they provided a small dehumidifier/fan which did absolutely nothing. All lights/aircon etc are controlled by an iPad in the kitchen area, which was not very user friendly and didn't always work as it should - "bedroom" lights would turn on/off bathroom lights etc. The shower drain is a high point, so the bathroom partially flooded every shower, draining down the drain in the middle of the room. There was no bench space in the bathroom or full-length mirror either.
- James (10/5): Fantastic - was very happy - It was clean, modern, well appointed with just about everything you need to be a home away from away There are no supermarkets close by
- Caren (10/5): Overall we had an amazing stay at Barangaroo Park Apts. The location can't be be beat & great value! - The location was amazing! Great view of the Harbour Bridge from Barangaroo Reserve. Easy access to the Barangaroo metro station and an easy walk to Circular Quay and The Rocks. The bathroom was small and the shower leaked out a bit.
- Matthew (7/5): Nice place to stay in a great location but some niggle need to be sorted out. - Location is great - near The Rocks and also down to Darling Harbour. Not far to walk to Opera House either Light switches are un-necessarily complicated. Shower leaks onto floor. External rubbish bins (for the complex) were horrible - someone needs to take responsibility for keeping this area clean.
- Andrew (10/5): - Everything was clean and newer. It was great having a genuine flat where I could put breakfast in the fridge and use the clothes washer. The immediate neighborhood is quiet but quite close to The Rocks, a lively neighborhood of shops, bars, and restaurants.
If you like a challenge, you'll get that too because the action of the push button light switches is almost indecipherable. That would not at all make me turn down another opportunity to stay here, just amusing.
- Peta (8/5): Modern apartment with great layout and fantastic location. - It was modern and quite spacious - good layout. Some of the online booking confirmation processes were quite onerous for such a short stay, very basic essentials in apartment and for the cost could have done more.
- Lewry (8/5): Very good - views and location were great, beds were very comfy. probably a touch expensive for what it is....
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The unit was a 10 experience. All aspects met or exceeded our expectations. The unit is modern with excellent facilities. The location perfect. I highly recommend it.
- Ong (7/5): Awesome location and facilities - Great location No mirrors in the place except for the bathroom
And it was musty m, understandable because of its location
But overall was amazing
- Shanny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Przemyslaw (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rab66 (10/5): Great location, excellent facilities, great host. - Great location, excellent facilities.
- Dickinson (8/5): Work trip - Place was really nice and close to where I was working short walk next to the water. It was clean, tidy and had everything set up. Only thing I didn't like was noise from the pub across the road playing loud music til late. I sleep easy though so not so bad
- Louise (10/5): Amazing home away from home in Sydney - I loved the location. How close it is to the Barangaroo metro station, the park, cute cafes and bars. Clean and beautiful apartments. Felt like home away from home. The shower was a little dirty but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me because everything else was AMAZING!
- Cameron (1/5): Negligence gas leak. And no support - That i didn't die from the 16hr gas leak which management claimed to have fixed but couldn't say how. And how my holiday was ruined day one with no staff to help. And getting the code 3hrs after arriving because of management error. And my phone calls being ignored all 8 of them with all of them being hung up on. But again didn't die which considering how everything was run. I'd say is pretty lucky. The glass door didn't lock so I was able to enter the premises without the activation code which was handy because they sent it 6hrs after they were supposed too. So it was pretty easy to access the building when their were managerial issues. Everything the whole trip was ruined and me and my partner almost died.
- Elvera (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shibin (7/5): Good - 1. Good location, the apartment is fully equipped.
2. Good communication with the the guest service team, there're several issues but the guest service team tried their best to help. The overall cleanliness really need some improvement, and further:
1. There're ants in various place in the apartment.
2. The drawers in the bedroom are dusty, I had to wipe it clean first before use.
3. Oven is quite dirty, and for some reason the range hood gives unexpected flash bright light every now and then.
4. There's a hotel crossover, when it rained, the water ran from the upper pipe and fell onto their lower metal eaves, it made quite a bit of noise.
5. There's always frost on the bed room glass when we woke up, not sure if it's due to the ventilation.
6. The dryer is not working properly, it's best to run it twice when drying, otherwise there're always damp spot in the clothes, the sheet or the towers.
7. The water always run onto the bathroom floor after shower.
- Kylie (10/5): Felt so at home with all we needed for a short stay, very comfortable, stylish and felt like a home. Walked everywhere! - The styling and renovation of this property was exceptional. The location truly fabulous. We could walk to the Rocks in 10 mins and Circular Quay in 15. Darling Harbour around 17 mins. The location was quite peaceful too. The electronic lighting and air conditioning sit nor work well. The app itself was intuitive enough to follow but the functions were not working as selected. Think they would be better off revering to old fashioned light switches
The kitchen bins had a LOT of l oh of in them once you removed the bin liner, was pretty gross.
The bathroom had notable mould on the ceiling.
- Brandan (8/5): Very good -
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Zehra (4/5): The place is not bad but also not good. I wouldn‘t stay there again. It is not clean at all. The bathroom is extremely s - The kitchenware and washing&Drying machine Tiny bathroom, dirty carpet and shower, noisy due to parties in the park and also main door entrance.
- Masayoshi (8/5): Very good - Nice location.
Clean Shower room is not spacious.
Dryer is somewhat not effectively drying clothes.
- Rao (3/5): I won't recommend it. Creaking floors and zero sound proofing - Renovated rooms.
Modern amenities.
Nice kitchen. Kitchen dishwasher not working.
No body soap available and the person in-charge was not sure how to refill it.
Rooms are not sound proof, we can here people walking, vehicles parking . It was very uncomfortable to live in the rooms facing roads.
Floor creaking sound is unbearable
We had difficulty moving our luggage from entrance to our rooms due to multiple stairs.
We moved during the peak hours of new year day celebration, there was no information provided to help us reach the hotel. We really had difficult time walking towards the hotel because all the roads were blocked. we bad experience.
- Meredith (10/5): Wonderful stay at these luxury apartments in a great (& walkable) location to explore Sydney! - We loved everything about this apartment (stayed in Apt #1). The Barangaroo luxury apartments had a GREAT location - right up the hill from the vibrant "The Rocks" area, located within walking distance to both Darling & Sydney Harbours as well as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and was directly across the street from Barangaroo Park. We walked everywhere, but they are building a new Metro stop just down from the park and on the harbor. The apartment was immaculate, very modern but with warm decor, bright and sunny, and spacious for our weeklong stay. We especially appreciated the balcony, air conditioning, ceiling fan in bedroom, modern appliances, Nespresso coffee machine, and the washer & dryer. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe walking everywhere. Check-in was super easy and communication with the host company was good. I would highly recommend a stay here at the Barangaroo Luxury Apartments. We could have used more towels and extra bathmats since the rain shower leaks out under the door onto the bathroom floor. I would just throw the floor mat into the dryer or hang on the drying rack provided after each use, but it could get pretty soggy after each shower.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - It was clean and modern, great location for sightseeing and walks. Dishwasher leaked
Shower leaked into hallway
Lights in Bathroom didn't work everytime
No microwave
- Balaji (9/5): Superb -
- Darryl (10/5): A little diamond in the "Dress Circle" of Sydney. Close to pubs, Barangaroo, CBD - Location great, next door to a hotel, so was a little worried about noise, but was ok. Hmmm, short sms with the 2 x key in details would be better and not lost deep in emails...(One for outside gate to get in, and one for room). No indication that there is nothing in the fridge, so you will need to stop at store to get staples. (Milk, water etc)
- Natalie (8/5): Comfortable, easy and luxurious. - The location was excellent. Room was very quiet and the tv options were fabulous. Kitchen facilities excellent and all the little touches were greatly appreciated. We have food allergies so when we travel a decent kitchen is such a relief and this was the best I’ve encountered. Thank you. We will be back. The parking was a bit of a thing to juggle but we knew this ahead of time. The washer/dryer was pretty hopeless. The dryer function doesn’t really dry. Suggest a separate dryer on the wall.
- Adrian (10/5): Awesome spot and awesome overall -
- Bülent (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): A great, modern apartment in an excellent location - A modern apartment in a very convenient location in Miller’s Point / The Rocks. Walking distance to restaurants, pubs and cafes. We loved our stay here. The bed was super comfortable and we can’t get over how QUIET it was. We had great sleeps! The bathroom and shower were extremely tight/small. I would have loved a full length mirror, as I was staying here for my first week in a new job and it would have been handy to see my outfits before I left of a morning. Only mirror is in the vanity in the bathroom.
Future guests should know that even though it is a modern building with a lift, the entry has some stairs and our apartment also had stairs leading down to it, which was difficult with suitcases. It was also an open area, so during a storm the water flooded the hallway and made it quite slippery when entering and leaving our apartment.
- Andy (7/5): Great location, modern apartment but very disappointing it is at basement level - no outlook. - We liked the quality of the apartment. Modern appliances, lovely decor, comfortable bed and great location if you're prepared to walk 15-20 mins into the city - which we were. The apartment (No10) was at basement level with no outlook whatsoever. Only one window (ranch slider) that opened into a tiny below ground courtyard. The marketing material only shows the above ground apartments with balconies and a view. We would not have rented this accommodation if we had been told it was a basement apartment.
- Jochen (3/5): Poor -
- Claudia (9/5): Superb -
- King (9/5): Superb - Lovely modern apartment, quiet and comfortable Dishwasher tablets would have been great otherwise excellent. Would love to stay again!
- Kimberley (8/5): Excellent, quiet location accessible to Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. - Quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet still so close to city. Short stroll to transport, circular quay and darling harbour. No dryer. The washer drying function did not work well. Could have done with another towel hook to accommodate 4 towels in bathroom.
- Geraldine (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing -
- Leeanne (9/5): Was an excellent stay will recommend to friends - Loved rooms , outlook, situation and cleaniness. The toilet was cramped near shower
- Robin (9/5): Superb - Amazing location for access to all the city centre highlights. So comfortable and the bed was amazing. Tech was good as well. The shower was far too small, it was very awkward to get in and out.
- Paula (9/5): Superb - Stylish. Immaculate. Great location. Milk in the fridge would have been nice especially given our late arrival.
- Martuani (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Beautifully presented apartment in great location - Location and modern apartment with beautiful decor Small bathroom and shower went all over floor when in use. However plenty of towels provided
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Very functional space Not a lot of natural lighting
- Manuela (10/5): A delightful stay in this appartment! Great location next to Barangaroo reserve, very quiet, near great restaurants, bea - Everything! Great location next to Barangaroo reserve, very quiet, beautifully renovated. modern appliances.
Will definitely come back.
- D'amato (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable and close to everything Stairs a big of a pain when u have big suitcases but luck not to far to go to your room.
- Margaret (10/5): we had a wonderful time staying in the apartment great view of the harbour bridge and Darling harbour. So close to every - property was in great location, clean, comfortable, everything you need, the apartment could of had extra bathroom and in the kitchen wipes, and a bit more care in cleaning the shower as it had a bit of mood on the tiles.
- Tynan (10/5): Exceptional - It was fantastic, highly recommend. best bed ever! very minor complaints, but the shower leaks onto the bathroom floor in apartment 4, and the light switches are confusing.
- Frank (7/5): Great location - The location Our one is a little noisy from street.
