Guest Reviews
- Amanda Treharne (8/5): great room and very moderate price. very nice bathroom and cosy all round. would definitely stay the - cosy room and warm although cold floor and could have done with a rug! location downstairs next to the laundry and the only room down there. As a female staying there it felt a bit isolated compared to the other units.
- Jim (5/5): It was reasonable - It was very quiet The air conditioners filters had never been cleaned and it hardly did anything
- Ryder (10/5): Would stay again. great size and air conditioning was able to heat room well. - Contactless entry. All appliances. Microwave, kettle, complimentary coffee etc. great heating from air conditioning from a day out in the cold. windy conditions! obviously nothing to do with this great accomodation
- Marita (4/5): Nice view but disappointing overall due to cleanliness. Would not stay here again - Lake views from the room/balcony were great Kitchen utensils weren't clean, there were dirty stained cushions on the bed, surfaces hadn't been wiped and hair was around the place.
There was only one (dirty) mug and no floor mat in the bathroom. The bed sheet wasn't fitted so moved around exposing the mattress protector.
- Gerard (8/5): The place is comfortable and adequate for what you would expect for the cost. Great views. - Good location and comfortable. Neat, clean, everything works. Wifi was good except for 1 night, when it kept dropping out. Lights from outside at night were very bright. I had to try to put a blanket over the window to make it darker. Given no food options (which is fine), perhaps better preparation and washing facilities.
- Emma (4/5): - Good location. Convenient check in/check out. Toilet had a constant leak in the plumbing which was creating a loud drip and resulted in the water in the toilet constantly filling up instead of only after flushing. We struggled to sleep as it was very loud in such a small room.
The cleanliness of the accommodation was fine however the maintenance of the room was very poor, especially considering the price of this accommodation. Quite run down for what is being charged which was disappointing.
- Tuckerman (8/5): -
- Peta (10/5): - Whilst they had strict rules for cleaning up, spare garbage bags and a sink to wash your eating materials in rather than the bathroom sink - and a tea towel would be nice. They don't want stains on their towels but don't provide a tea towel or a bath mat. Other than that it was absolutely gorgeous, loved it and cosy.
- Robert (3/5): Jindy Disappointment - Location for our purpose Room and bathroom, ultra small.
Cumbersome check-in system
Badly maintained property
- Shane (8/5): Enjoyed our stay but disappointed the advertisement didn’t state the property wasn’t in it rights location of East Jinda - It was very cosy, clean and did the job. Very disappointed regarding ‘false advertising’, advert states property was in Jindabyne however it was only on the day I was informed it was East Jindabyne.
- Curtiss (1/5): very bad experience. - Nothing to like about this place. Please note comments below. We had not had a holiday for years and this experience was not awful. The property is not value for money, firstly it was outside of Jindabyne, which meant driving everywhere, your address has it as Jindabyne but it's actually East, the bathroom fittings were loose, the room was not properly cleaned, there was no room for storage, or hangers to hang clothes, the rules on taking out rubbish on departure for the money you pay should include this with housekeeping. The room and bathroom were small and no room to move. The bed was not made properly with only a sheet not a fitted sheet and no extra blankets, and not the correct size sheets for the bed
- Mohamad haffiz (10/5): -
- Mikaela (7/5): Good stay. - Bed was good size. Room was clean and had a fantastic view. Parking was good. Aircon worked okay. The room was alot smaller then the photos made it seem. Barley enough room to walk around the bed and you could just manage to fit in the bathroom side ways. The Cutlery that was provided was dirty and had been used and not washed. Unfortunately there was nothing but water to wash them with if needed. The door is quite fiddly to get the hang of it. But once you work it out it's fine.
- Josh (5/5): -
- Brock (5/5): -
- Robyn (2/5): Below average - The rotting boards had been painted over, but due to the rotting boards, the draft was coming in through the door
- Nikki (7/5): Neat and clean, perfect for quick winter weekends away. - Self serve, no fuss and easy access
Great view Very small rooms and no where to hang ski gear to dry overnight
- Graham (3/5): -
- Nurul (4/5): - Good
- Kelsea (8/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): Basic room - comfortable for a long weekend. - Room had what we needed for the trip. It was basic but it was also one of the cheaper places to stay in the area. We ate out and only used the room to sleep in. There is no chairs or table to sit at. There were some minor things which were an inconvenience, like no tiny milks for tea or coffee provided, there was no face or wash cloth provided and only 1 pillow provided for each bed, (there was other pillows in the cupboard but no pillow cases). Also im average height and the toilet was very difficult to sit on because the vanity unit is too close. If you were tall or had big legs the toilet may be very difficult to use.
- Mark (8/5): Good value, and reasonable location. Modern decor and great views from veranda. - Price and not too far from town No Uber food services. Have to drive to town for food.
Room not cleaned during stay.
- Gaurav (2/5): - Photos shown in while booking shows full lake view and in reality it you can see just a glimpse of lake. Photos shows ample room but in reality it’s hardly 2 person can walk around. Also hou can hear if someone in the next room is walking in their room.
- gandhi (7/5): - Location, view of the lake and cleanliness Rooms are a bit too small
- marion (5/5): A small clean cabin with a great vista .Affordable accommodation in an expensive town - The vista was sensational . The air conditioning first class . Cabin supper clean and freshly painted.Small kitchette with fridge, microwave, toaster all new ,good working order . Definitely need a car to drive into Jindabyne and ski fields . Fair to say the price was reasonable compared to the cost of accommodation in Jindabyne . Using a key code for entry to cabin excellent concept. We didn’t use the laundry as not required. Misleading presentation of this facility. It’s not a “lodge”.More honest to say they are cabins .Could do with at least 1 tea towel and couple of hand towels .Lack of storage, lack of hanging space for ski gear . A slow dripping toilet.. especially noticeable at. night ..There was a mobile number to make contact with any questions or problems . But we were out skiing instead of dealing with the dripping toilet.
- Harry (7/5): -
- Cherish Marie (9/5): Unexpected value for money - I was expecting worse from the reviews but then the 2 bedroom unit was the best value for money. The bathroom is updated with heated toilet seats! Lots of toilet paper available and storage. Spacious lounge and kitchen. The oven is new and the cutleries are updated. We stayed at the ground floor and we can hear people walking past bedtime. It is inevitable but maybe if you can ask or post a sign on the second floor for people to walk gently?
- Leigh-Anne (6/5): - Property is at East Jindabyne which is approx 7-10 min drive from main shopping food etc in Jindabyne. Room was unlocked and open on arrival. Once in room it was ok. Couple cleanliness issues hair in bathroom, shelving visible layer of dust, coffee machine pods not emptied (we don’t drink coffee anyway but noticed it), only 2 cups for 4 people.
Stairs and landing to upstairs needs some maintenance with wood rot spots and managed to score a few splinters on handrail. It’s pretty inconvenient for a family with stairs in several locations making getting unloaded and loaded difficult being unable to park close and navigate all the stairs that aren’t the best.
Main bed was good and comfortable but lack of proper sheets just a top sheet over top wasn’t very nice. Teenagers bed wasn’t very comfortable.
Bathroom is incredibly small. Did have full oven and cooktop to the kitchen.
Easy distance to snowfields.
Unmanned accommodation was a little different for me especially with harsh toned notes around place about damages and costs and our appartment had 2 glasses. Could probably put it in terms and word a bit nicer, I presume most people don’t trash the place.
Overall ok but I personally wouldn’t stay again as a family with 2 teenagers and a bunch of luggage and ski gear stairs were painful to deal with.
View over lake Jindabyne was lovely.
- David (6/5): -
- Cindy (6/5): Cheap accommodation but not good value - Very cheap for ski season It was cold and you couldn’t walk on the floor without socks or slippers
- Zhezhu (10/5): -
- Stephen (7/5): We were happy with the stay and will most likely book this facility again on a future ski trip. - We booked a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean, warm, comfortable and quiet, and met our expectations. The price and cancellation conditions were reasonable, given that we stayed during the ski season.
- Jansen (8/5): - Great value for money. Comfy room with all the basis including access to a laundry with dryer and microwave.
- Tarlan (8/5): - Loved the service. We requested the host to check in a few hours early to be able to ski that day and they were kind enough to let us check in at 7am instrad of 10am.
- Mukeshkumar (10/5): - I like nice and quiet stay, quiet spacious room.
- Graham (10/5): - Was nice
- Hon (7/5): -
- Amber (4/5): - Self check-in was easy and the contact number was responsive — unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The room was nothing like the listing. What looked “tidy” at first glance quickly turned gross — used, dirty cutlery and plates were shoved into the microwave. Clearly, cleanliness isn’t a priority here.
The room itself? Absolutely tiny. There’s no way the photos are of the so-called “king room.” We could barely fit two regular suitcases upright. And unless you’re under 170cm, good luck using the toilet without contorting yourself. it’s ridiculously cramped you could sit on the toilet and cook a meal at the same time.
The walls are paper thin — you’ll hear everything. And the king bed? Covered with sheets that don’t even fit.
For the price, this was an absolute joke. You’re paying top dollar for what feels like a budget room that’s been badly misrepresented. I wouldn’t stay again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
- jiajia (10/5): -
- James (5/5): Passable, but with simple fixes could be outstanding - The room itself was lovely—very comfortable overall, especially the bed. A little small though. Hard to swing a cat. The main issue was the temperature—unfortunately, the room was freezing, and this came down to two fixable problems:
1. Bathroom windows – The vents in the windows let in a lot of cold air. Replacing them with ventless or properly sealed windows would make a big difference.
2. Wide door gaps – The large gaps around the doors in the main room allowed cold air to filter in throughout the night. Sealing these would dramatically improve comfort.
Because of the cold, we had to run the air conditioning on full blast just to stay warm, which I imagine isn’t great for your energy bills either.
One more point: the bathroom floor mat. The furry mat wasn’t clean and seemed to be reused across guests. For hygiene reasons, it really should be replaced or freshly laundered between visits—like a standard hotel practice.
- Hong (8/5): - 位置方便 房间很小
- Dragana (8/5): - Loved how quite it was and it had pretty good views of the lake and the mountains.
- Monica (7/5): - It is situated in a great spot A room with a queen sized bed & amenities.
Oh & a balcony which is fantastic in winter
- Annie (4/5): Spend a bit more, trust me. Don't stay here. - Location, easy to find and easy parking. Great hot water in the bathroom sink but shower pressure is not that great. I didn't like most things about this place unfortunately. Really needs love e.g. better tv, better air con, better screen door, better sheets, more space, more storage (hooks or shelves) etc. The place was also not clean! Blatant rubbish behind the bedside tables and thick dust under the bed just made me feel sick. We left early and forfeited the night.
- Christopher (6/5): - quiet, would be a great place to stay in summer or out of snow season, average quality floors not clean, especially under the bed, poor flooring insulation, extremely cold room, the electronic door keypad lock is a pain in the ass, especially if you need to get into the room urgently, does not open the door sometimes even when it unlocks, mattress covered with a flat sheet way too small to cover mattress, very small room
- Olivia (7/5): -
- Chantelle (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): - A nice and comfortable place - quite cosy, and budget style accommodation.
Great views of the lake.
Its 9km out of town (in east Jindabyne).
It has all the essentials.
It has some unique rules such as taking all your rubbish with you, any degree of markings on bedding will result in cleaning costs passed onto you. I also noticed the cups and spoons provided were not cleaned properly.
But overall, its a nice, cosy room, and is safe and secure.
Thankyou.
- Pedro (8/5): - Wifi wasn't that stable and over a few days the internet is come and go, but the stay was pleasant and the host Ivan is very helpful
- Antony (2/5): - Bed was terrible, rock hard. Didn’t even sleep there it was that bad. We cut our trip short and drove home
- Zulfiqar (1/5): - Nice and quiet The internet was not working at all
Tv was connected with internet so can’t watch anything on tv extra pillow and blanket was so dirty
- Ching (7/5): nice, easy and good value, ok just for skiing trip. - a little distance from town. it had a common lounge before can cook food and more room for activities beside staying in room.
- Rene (2/5): Poor accommodation - Not much Nothing like what was advertised. You could see daylight around the doors which let in a lot of cold air. No cutlery. Dirty bath mat. Bed lining that didn’t fit the bed…..list goes on!
- Andrew (8/5): - Area is nice and quiet, room is small but that wasnt an issue at it was comfortable and cosy.
There was a few issues with cleanliness with the bed, kettle and sink but overall not bad.
Would definitely stay again.
- Rachel (8/5): A great option for a short trip to the snow on a limited budget - Clean, quiet, warm room A little further out of town than I'd like
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ordinary and over priced - Room was way too small for a king size bed. Tripped over large weeds upon entering the room. Was not value for money.
- Jessica (7/5): -
- Nogaliza (6/5): -
- Ivan (10/5): - The room was clean and confortable. It was in a convenient location for my needs and free parking. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Quick check in. Easy and affordable. The bed was confortable. Nothing
- Ivan (10/5): Highly recommended! - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alps Lakeview Lodge. Alps Lakeview Lodge is a small nice hotel and it was an unforgettable experience. It was clean and bright. and in a very good location. The staff was great. Highly recommended! Will be coming back! Thank you so much.
- Matthew (6/5): -
- monjur (10/5): - Everything good with this property. We stay2 night. Kitchen and lounge has excellent facilities. Wifi is very good. Large bathroom
- Monika (5/5): - Limited room and facilities.
Not great value for money.
- Tamal (1/5): Well below our expectations - Nothing to be honest! If I really have to pick one then the balcony has a view of the Jindabyne Lake. Thats all. Everything! Starting from the location of the lodge to the room. The room pics will give you different vibe as compared to the actual rooms. The room’s 80% is occupied by a bed and rest are side tables, a combined TV table cum refrigerator cum utensils rack. Its so small that they have given two folding chairs and a folding dining table inside a small wardrobe and if you unfold them, be prepared to hamper your movement inside the room!
- Vivian (8/5): -
- Andrean (7/5): Clean and cosy and quiet - Twin room had 2 king single beds. The heater warmed the room really quickly and it was warm. The rooms are small with no space for a table and chairs, but we only slept and showered there as we were out all day.
- Tino (8/5): - Great price and nice property and also lake views
- gemma (7/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): - Was really good spot to stay, apartment was great had everything we needed, just needs a shelf in the shower area and the floors were quite dirty when we checked in, I don’t think they were swept or mopped from the previous stay, apart from that we loved it
- Mary Shayne (6/5): -
- Rochelle (8/5): Cosy room with great views - Beautiful location with balcony and lake view. Good heating. Very helpful staff. Would prefer more crockery so you can self cater breakfast.
- Anna (9/5): -
- Ronald (7/5): The property adeqately served for the purpose of our family ski trip. - Lovely view out over Lake Jindabyne. Good kitchen and spacious rooms, except the tiny bathroom. Air-cons heated the rooms nicely. The bathroom was very tiny and difficult to move around in. There is no facility for drying or storing ski clothing and equipment. Dining table and chairs pretty basic.
- Kathleen (8/5): - Amazing view. Property just a little on the small side
- DHANUKA (8/5): - .
- Paul (10/5): -
- Oriana Korban (5/5): - The bed was big and comfortable. The blanket and air-conditioning create nice and warm ambience. The balcony was spacious and the view was nice. There was a parking outside as well. The room was very small (Sydney size snall bedroom). There was almost no space for luggage or snow gear, some of which we had to keep in the car.
There was no dishwasher so you only can rinse dirty dishes in the bathroom. The internet didn't work well which we reported and ended up using our own internet when watching TV. The bathroom was very small (size- twice of plance economy toilet). There was no bathmat in the bathroom and it was very cold.
The vents at the floor meant that you felt warm as long as you sat on the bed.
There was no room for chairs if you had luggage and 2 people were on each other's way all the time when moving.
The location is also far from everything as this is East Jindabyne and there are not active taxis or Ubers. You cannot wall to town and drove is around 10-20 minutes so be prepared if you want to go for dinner out.
The walls are very thin so you'll hear everything.
Not a bad property if the price would be accurate. For what we got- it's expensive property.
- Zachary (8/5): -
- ChrisG (5/5): -
- Henry (5/5): -
- zia (5/5): -
- STEPHANIE (6/5): - Does not feel “delux”, more like a garage turned accommodation.
Room is very small, basic, and bed is uncomfortable.
Linen wasn't that clean, saw some fluff and hair stuck on it.
Probably wouldn't choose room12 again unless was desperate
- Abbergail (8/5): Good location, great view, comfy bed and clean facilities. - Good location Nothing
- james (1/5): Not worth staying as many other options for less. - Nothing. That it wasn’t clean, bed sheets weren’t proving enough cover, wifi wouldn’t connect, shower wasn’t draining, no balcony (like on the pic of the room we bought), view blocked by cabinet, dining table also not clean & in separate area, kettle still had water from prior guests.
- Selai (9/5): -
- Ji-yun (4/5): -
- Vivian (4/5): - Beddings were not changed, it looks like someone just got out of bed. There’s stain on the blanket and there’s no fitted sheet and no bath mat or mat on the bathroom floor. The draft on the door is horrible, you can feel the wind.
- stella may (6/5): Fair - Need some upgrade with kitchenwares.
Bathroom is good esp the toilet seat amazing Kitchenwares need some upgrade and clean
- Miranda (5/5): -
- Paige Ruby (5/5): - Was close to Jindabyne Wifi didn’t work! And there wasn’t any reception so it was really disappointing. The pictures of our bathroom VS the actual room were completely different, the draft coming in under doors made the room very cold despite air conditioning, there also were sand/crumbs in the bed.
- S (4/5): Not worth for it's price! - Not worth the price at all, even in the peak season.
The Kitchen had bare minimum, the pans were disgusting, and some utensils were un-clean, oven wasn't working, microwave was full of rust. I wish i checked the utensils before planning, we got the groceries to cook our food but couldn't then had to go out for eating.
High aspirations for charging customers with no or minimum concerns for them.
- Shopping (7/5): - Good size, good size kitchen, newly renovated bathroom, warm (A/C) No hanging space for damp ski gear. Should be a drying area (floor is tiled which is great), should be a range of hanging hooks or other options as most people visiting would be skiing/snowboarding.
A separate toilet would be better when a bunch of people are staying.
- Elias (8/5): -
- Jade (5/5): Great room for over night, had a great experience in Jindabyne and Threbo. Beautiful areas. - The bed was very comfortable and the outside was beautiful. Loved how it wasn’t far from town. The pillows were very soft, breakfast was not provided, we had dirty hand towels, the bed was not made properly and had ants running through the bed. The tv didn’t work and the internet did not connect.
- Trang (8/5): Good location, reasonable prices and clean - The room is clean and reasonable prices Room is very small, if you have couples of package, very hard to move around the room
- Jasmine (10/5): - M
- Yayap (1/5): - They put me in the room which bad location no light at the front door, dirty at front door and the only room far from other rooms. I asked to change another room and they asked me to pay $50 more which total $350 for tiny and bad front door views
- phinit (8/5): Very good sleeping cabin with nice view. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere; good for getaway. - Bed, view, hot shower, kitchenette No cutlery, should have bed and breakfast table for having meal on bed- Very cold during nighttime and table and chairs are outside cabin.
- Meggen (3/5): - The bed was like concrete. And there was no hairdryer even though this was stated in the listing. Not worth $330/night.
- Ashek (9/5): Beautiful location - Beautiful location. Had all the utensils and appliances. Comfortable beds. Perfect place for a small family.
