- Liz (9/5): I love a good pub stay and this was one of the good ones - Grand old pub. Really nice room with door opening to balcony where I could see my car on the street. Clean modern bathroom, comfortable room, historic building. Needs some hooks or shelves in bathroom. A lamp and heater in room would be good and a light and railing at top of internal stairs.
- Rob (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (6/5): - Very convenient to most of Bega, we did spend a bit of time in the establishment savouring a few ales, bit dangerous at end of night going up stairs to room, outside steps where just downright dangerous when it was raining.
- Jacqui (5/5): This was a last minute booking, the bed was comfortable and the place was clean. - The staff were great and changed rooms for me as soon as they realised the first one had no curtains There was a glass window above the door into the hall, so the exit light was a little annoying when trying to sleep, and the door stuck really badly, and made a terrible noise when opened (so I would have disturbed others when I left at 5am).
- Jody (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (3/5): Very expensive for what you get. - The staff were great very helpful, room was clean Was a construction site, bedroom very basic, trundle bed ,plastic garden chair, metakl coat rack for wardrobe, had a sink and no curtains, bathroom adequate , kitchen very messy and smelly.
- Geoff (5/5): Passable - No toilet paper, no soap,no shampoo,
- Angela (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (5/5): Cheap and welcoming. Very average food - Location and friendly staff Families very basic
- Bengt (1/5): Dirty, filthy and disgusting. - Nothing. Everything.
- Tim (8/5): Cheap with great location - Excellent Buddha bowl for dinner
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Nadia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Harrison (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb - Location,staff,food,cleanliness
- Christopher (6/5): - Old school country hotel rooms about a pub. Communal areas and kitchen. I must admit when I booked it, I didn't realise it was a shared toilet and shower.
That was ok, but felt sketchy as my partner reported back more than one shower in the 'ladies' without locks. There were two 'ladies' and the second was a little more suitable.
We arrived late. The staff were kind and polite.
- Babu (3/5): Poor - Location great, staff very friendly and helpful Room was very hot, congested, no air-conditioning, fan didn't help much, room is very bright in the night due to lack of block out blinds on the ventilation, very untidy and unclean kitchen with ancient equipment that you would think twice before using them. No secure car park and access to therooms are via stairs only. Wouldn't recommend for anyone with special needs or for families.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - I found the staff to be very friendly and for the price the accommodation was good.
It's basic, no frills but clean and comfortable .It's shared bathroom and kitchen and meets all your basic needs.
I was passing through Bega on my motorcycle and I was on tour. I was supposed to camp but the heavens opened up and it rained solid so I booked this place on a moment's notice.. The staff were really good and allowed me to park my bike in a locked compound out the back. Thanks for the stay and a good place for a weary biker to lay his head.
- Megan (6/5): Very middling to mediocre. They didn't do breakfast either. The pub is very old.. - Not much. Not very good value for the price I paid for one night. Staff need to be trained better as regards the accommodation side of the business. And not just serving behind the bar and the food side of things.
- Ilona (6/5): Pleasant - Shared bathrooms were brand new. Parts of the hotel upstairs were in very bad state of repair (kitchen and back stairs).
- Barbs (6/5): Pleasant -
- Athanase (5/5): Passable - Location and restaurant and the bathrooms were clean Bedding sheets were dirty for both our rooms once we changed rooms it was the same conditions with the previous ones
and common kitchen not very clean and condition was poor
- Lilyanne (1/5): I do not recommend this property - Nothing Everything
- Marek (8/5): Very good -
- Lorraine (6/5): - Room was fairly basic, bed, sink, TV and a towel rack. No bin, blind, bedside table or towels.
Staff helpful and friendly. Good location. Comfy bed. For a night or 2 it's fine
- Emily (8/5): Lovely little overnight stay - Bathrooms were clean and updated, maybe need some hand towels or dryers ☺️ staff were lovely, food was delicious. Beer garden was lovely to sit in the afternoon. Bed was comfy, very simple room. Quite warm in the room during the day, overnight tried to keep the balcony door open to cool off, however we were flooded with scarab beetles! Maybe needing some flu screens or air con. Other wise comfortable stay ☺️
- Rodney (8/5): - Nice accomodation recently refurbished. Aircon would be a nice addition but room I stayed in had balcony which I left doors open overnight, with cool breeze. Food offering downstairs is good but there are other options very close by.
- Pandelis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Philip (7/5): Good - N/A

- Geoff (7/5): Good -
- Daryl (8/5): - Thank you for a very nice stay. The bathrooms were clean and modern, and the room had everything I required.
- Craig (6/5): - No light in the toilet or the shower, no door on the shower No latches on the toilet doors
bedroom generally ok but no access to power point beside bed for phone or cpap machine
- Richard (3/5): Poor - No fan (not needed but says it was provided)
No working TV remote.
No light bulb in the lamp.
Very noisy. People coughing.
Trucks delivering in the middle of the night.
Bins collected early in the morning.
- Jason (10/5): - Great central location. Excellently priced accommodation and the staff were very friendly. I was there to research and potentially buy property, so I wasn't very social but i'll be back again soon to the Valley and there is only one place I will stay. Many thanks to everyone at the Commercial, Oh and the food was excellent!!
- Michel (7/5): Good - Cheap, clean and central old hotel with a nice big balcony. Nice and somewhat unexpected experience.
- Antony (8/5): - Staff are extremely friendly and helpful
- Jan (7/5): Got what I paid for. Staff were lovely. - No breakfast. All the doors were very old and jammed making them hard to open and close.
- Tainah (1/5): Bad -
- Sam (3/5): Will never go there - The location The facility has shared toilets and I saw some guys were using the ladies toilets. After asking them they replied the authority permitted them. I later noticed the caretaker guy also using the ladies toilets.
The bed wasn’t clean, found hair and dust. Pretty bad!!!
- Martin (7/5): Good - Justin did a great job in accomadating us. The pillows too soft and thin
- Givan (5/5): A bit disappointing. Would try to minimize the amount of time spent in the room. - Probably the only rooms that were available in the area. The rooms are small and quite old. Shared bathrooms were okay-ish. The bedsheets were stained (but exchanged on request). This place is mainly a pub and happens to have some rooms upstairs.
- Alistair (10/5): - Good price, clean and handy location
- Kristie (7/5): Good - Value for money Door was too hard to open and close without making a lot of noise.
- Yanz12345 (8/5): Very good -
