Basic pub accomodation for the right price. keep up the good work love pub accomodation for those who just want a bed for the night need more of them! No air con so it hot, ceiling fans take the edge off, lots of stairs and noisy outside BUT it's cheap pub accomodation i just used for a crash pad after clubbing, room temp was fine at night. Bathrooms do the job for the price i aint complaining! Just letting folk know what to expect

- Alison (7/5): Fantastic location and good for the price, would stay here again despite the issues. - Room was about what I expected from pub accommodation and for the price. Super ideal location, right around the corner from the ICC and nearby to shopping and food options. Could go downstairs for drinks at night and then just go upstairs which was awesome. It was fairly loud, which I did expect given the location and enthusiastic karaoke downstairs - they clearly know this as ear plugs are supplied and there's not really a way around it. The room couldve been cleanlier, there was an empty bottle under our bed when we arrived. My main issue and one I think needs to be addressed is that there is no sanitary bins in any of the bathrooms. Only one shower at the very end of the hall had any bin, and it didn't have a lid. For any ladies staying here on their periods, just be aware.

- bradley (4/5): No reschs blankets - Proximity to the venue I was going to One more decent fan. Come on guys they aren't expensive. And really really honestly disappointed that there was no techs blankets or really any paraphernalia related to that in my room at all. Your ad certainly leads you to believe otherwise and honestly was about the only reason other than it being on George st that I booked a room there. Will not bother next time.

Great veiw of the street....I'm not from the city so watching the busy street below was a novelty for me. Easy access to paid parking across the road. It was noisy.....no air con meant you had to have the windows open... leading to lots of street noise. No kettle for tea and coffee. No air conditioner....middle of summer....it was HOT! No fridge...so no cold drinks. I booked 2 nights and ended up staying for 1 only because of the heat and the noise.

- Jeehye (3/5): - 위치는 시내 중앙이라 좋긴해요 주변에 늦게까지 문여는곳도 많고 위험하지 않아요 진짜진짜진짜 개시끄러워요 방음이 아예 안되고 노래방 옆방에있는 기분이 들어요 바깥 신호등소리 트램소리 진짜 시끄럽습니다 방바닥이 카펫인데 복도에서부터 일체형 카펫이라 알레르기 있으신분들은 절대 하루도 못있을거에요 엘레베이터 없어서 캐리어 옮기는데 힘들었어요 샤워실 공용이고 여러갠데 3층 제일 안쪽에 동물 똥같은게 몇일째 있던데 안치우는것 같았어요 시내 중앙에 위치해서 좋긴한데 시드니 그렇게 크지 않아서 굳이 이곳에 묵지 않아도 될 거 같았어요

The keyless entry was convenient and not having to check in at the bar was quick and easy The rooms were so hot, there was no air conditioner and the fan just blew hot air around. It got super stuffy. The outside world was so loud! There was no insulation and I could hear everything outside my window and outside my door, clear as day. I could hear the floorboards creek outside my door from other people staying there. I felt like I didn’t have much privacy. I could see the people across the street and they could see me when I had the window open. Beds were super uncomfortable and I had a hole in my linen. The room was dusty. There was no TV and the shared bathroom and toilet didn't seem to be cleaned at all. I literally stayed for a week and the same pee stain was on the toilet the whole week I was there.

No controller for ac - but moved the fan so I survived the night...was warned about karaoke being noisy and earplugs provided but the place was well insulated and didn't mind it. Was glad there was a sink in the room. Advised coffee and kettle available downstairs but the morning opener did not know anything about it. Could have been cleaner in the bathrooms.

- Amanda (1/5): Reform or shut down - Pros: I did appreciate the keyless entry. The staff at the pub (who I understand can help if you have any accommodation queries) I happened to run into were very nice, but otherwise I appreciated not having to make small talk to check in (because there is no reception). The hotel did send me a warning email that there is kareoke on during my booking and there's no lift and no place to store luggage. I just would have appreciated a warning about the HEAT. There is a small basin with water in the rooms, towels and a tiny soap/shampoo/conditioner provided. I found the bathrooms tolerable (although I always wear thongs/flip flops when using communal bathrooms). There's a window sill to put things down but nothing to hold toiletries in the shower. The bed was comfortable (although the sheets were a little itchy). The decor is cute. The location near Capitol and the train stations. The power plugs were working fine. The cost for a private room was fine (but far too much given the utter lack of heat control). Cons: LOUD and HOT. I have previously lived in the CBD, travelled the world, and love budget accommodation, and this is by far the worst place I have ever booked. You're greeted (after 2 flights of narrow stairs without a lift) with loud city noises from George St and Liverpool St not too far below the room. Ok, other than the occasional ambulance puncturing that noise with loud sirens, that can become a sort of generic hum that is not unexpected in this location. However, at night, this location also hosts a LOUD karaoke event until the early hours of the morning. You can hear word for word every rendition of Living on a Prayer. The room shakes with the noise. This is even with the windows closed. The worst part for me, however, was how stiflingly HOT and HUMID the room becomes, even with the windows open (but you have to close them because of the noise). The ceiling fan and plug in fan kindly provided is no match for a humid Sydney night in a poorly ventilated room. It literally made me feel like I was going to throw up and I had to take medications to try to prevent a migraine. I found myself googling other accommodation options at 3am and rationalising to myself how this accommodation is different from sleeping on the streets. I tolerated the noise better than my husband (who required ear plugs AND noise cancelling headphones), but the heat was absolutely insufferable. The accommodation does attribute the noise to city living. I have lived in the city before. These rooms have zero noise insulation- that's why they're noisy. This place should not exist. Either turn the entire building into a night venue, or insulate the rooms from sound and allow adequate climate control. Also it was kind of funny/ awkward to make eye contact with people in the night venues across the road from my accommodation.

We thought it was creepy, like an old dorm room, boarding school, too many flights of stairs, no lifts, no fridge, no tv, bathroom and shower were disconnected from the room. The birds thing on the wall was creepy. Will never stay there ever again nor recommend it to anyone. Karaoke fine sing a few songs but not to stay in their hotel. 0/10.

- kiara (7/5): Good for an overnight stay and great location. - Staff were very friendly and helped us check in, room was clean and tidy, was in a great location with many restaurants and shops to look at near by and we even got free music as there was karaoke happing in the pub downstairs and it was great / funny to listen too. The shared shower was not as clean as I hoped it'd be, it had stains on the walls and the wooden pallets to stand on were broken.

Tey8ng to remember those codes on & out of the main door/bedroom door to go to the loo was a genius point if successful. No wonder some reviews claim guests sleeping in the hallway... locked out if they forgot the codes after a few drinks. A kettle with some basic tea and coffee facilities would be a nice addition, especially since there’s no communal kitchen available. The bathrooms could use a bit of extra cleaning attention. I didn’t see any staff during my stay, as entry was through a separate door. There is no way to make coffee prior to leaving the building.

No lift so it was a bit of a struggle to get the suitcase up to the second floor. The room was quite stuffy. The bathroom was smelly and not enough water pressure.

- A (10/5): - Decent size room. Right in a busy cool part of Sydney. No toilet, but the toilets are close. Really clean room and facilities. I'd fully recommend to busy travellers. It's definitely not quiet as there's bars and noise everywhere. I loved the noise and buzz of everything. The streets get quiet around midnight during the week nights and later in the weekend. If you're looking for somewhere quiet, this is not for you. Personally, i thought the room was perfect!

However I should mention that I do wonder how much consideration was put into the fact that the pub plays karaoke right below guests trying to sleep. I understand we accepted this when choosing to stay at a pub but just a little consideration for the guests goes a long way. :))

- P (5/5): If you just need a bed only can sleep through noise or don't need tv etc then you will not go wrong - Room was clean and tidy Noise from trams and music, they provide ear plugs!
- Nat (6/5): Location is the best thing about it - It’s all shared bathrooms which is not clearly stated in the hotel description. There’s no service at all - you get random codes the day of check in. Some strange guy was sleeping in the hallway outside our room the first night and “bathing” in the toilet room. There was some blood on the wall of one shower that didn’t get cleaned off during our stay. The toilets are odd - the tap fills the cistern so they run a lot longer than you expect. It’s VERY loud with the pub noise downstairs - the traffic noise isn’t bad but the karaoke is really loud and goes until about 1am. The bed is comfortable though and the room was surprisingly warm. Its location is great though - 5 minutes from Town Hall station and surrounded by all-night food and drinks and groceries.
