• Megan (9/5): Fantastic view, lovely place to stay - Location was excellent, view was incredible. Communication with owners was smooth and everything clearly communicated. One of the beds has a hard mattress (people might find this a positive). One of the ensuites had a see through window to the toilet which was odd when sharing a room with friends!

• Sorana (2/5): Disappointed - The view is the main attraction. We were disappointed with our recent stay at Arthurs Holiday Villa. Unfortunately, the property is very dated and poorly maintained (this is not made obvious through the photos listed). There were spider webs and dust all over the entrance way, old bird droppings and dust all over the exterior outdoor deck and patio areas, and even old mouldy paper towels left on the outdoor side table, which make these areas practically unusable and very uncomfortable. The interior window frames and corners were also covered in spider webs, dead flies and dust, there was dust and grime buildup throughout the entire villa and smears on the bathroom doors and walls etc. The rug in the lounge was filthy and there were bugs all over the upstairs bathroom and ants on the ceiling. There were loose cables and wires and rubbish on the driveway next to the garage and overall the property felt very untidy. The towels left for us still had Kmart tags on them and were not washed and so we were covered in lint on our first use which was also unpleasant. While the location may be appealing, the overall condition of the property did not meet our expectations and detracted significantly from our family holiday (we were surprised to experience this given the overwhelmingly positive reviews the property has received from other guests). For the price we paid we expected a comfortable stay and this property left us disappointed.

We expected an actual fire place as that was what was advertised. We were on an overnight stay as part of our anniversary weekend and expected a working spa. We would have thought there would have been more than one towel each.

Then got eaten by mosquitos. It was a horrible experience for the price I would have thought they would have put insulation in the ceiling!!!!! The views of course were amazing but that was short lived.

• Breanna (10/5): The perfect penthouse for a quick getaway, amazing views, extremely comfortable and a very accommodating host - Perfect location, amazing views, extremely clean and comfortable. Great amenities with gas fire place, spa bath and large comfy bed. Plenty of space within the penthouse and a lovely balcony to enjoy the ocean views. Host was very accommodating and friendly. They provided helpful information on how to get to the house, as well as a few complimentary drinks and an earlier than expected check in which was extremely helpful before attending a wedding. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again. NA

The way we could hear and were disturbed by the movement in the upper apartment. This is one house that has been converted into 2 stays (2 apartments)... the upstairs flooring is not insulated/soundproofed enough. When the upstairs people got home we were all disturbed - this was at midnight.

• Natasha (4/5): - While the view is lovely, the property is very very dated. For the high price we didn't expect such an old property. It was very cold and the electric fireplace only added some heat if you literally stood right in front of it. The heater in the bedroom was broken so you couldn't move the air from blowing directly onto the bed - which was not very warm anyway and noisey. The bathroom odours really need to be sorted out. Sadly most probably our most disappointing stay over the years across the whole of Victoria. Far too expensive and needs alot of work. We should have rather stayed at home for our anniversary .

• Tjitte (9/5): Million Dollar Views - Beautiful views and while you feel quite far removed from the hustle and bustle, you're only a short drive away down the mountain to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Unfortunately, the weather turned nasty with very strong winds and rain but we still very much enjoyed our stay. The owner of the property clearly makes a huge effort to make you feel welcome and left some lovely snacks and drinks which we enjoyed. The bed is super comfortable and the terrace and spa bath and to the overall relaxing stay. It was cold and windy and with the house being high up the mountain and with single glazed windows, it's hard to heat the whole house but with the heat pumps and fireplace, we just managed to stay warm. The bed also has electric blankets.

Location is amazing with lots to do, it was so incredibly clean with everything you could need available. The view from the balcony was also amazing and you could easily spend a lot of your time there when not doing other local activities.

• Stacey (6/5): Paying for the view - The view was amazing. The communication from the host was also excellent. The split systems didn’t blow out warm/hot air. Only cool air for a few seconds, then off, then repeat. The mattress was hard. The doona was incredibly thin and cheap. It was a very crisp and cold night and the sooner was not adequate. Also had cheap thin KMart blanket (at least cut the tags off) which didn’t provide the much needed warmth. There was blue toothpaste spots in the sink

• Seyed (9/5): Superb - View -location - equipment - bedrooms- -The staircase to the double bedroom was not vaccummed or cleaned -also Legs of the 2 of dining chairs in the penthouse (Orange ones) was not assembled properly and the chairs were unsteady resulting my mum and my daughter fell down a couple of times. If someone look at the legs will notice that 2 of them are screwed back to front and make them un steady. other than that everything else was great and we all enjoyed it alot but please please fix that as its dangerous and it can be sued. -Spa in the double bedroom suit did not work as well. Thank you

The home was super clean and provided all our essentials. There was even two bottles of beer (on a hot melbourne day) waiting for us. • Melanie (6/5): We were only there for a short stay. Not great value for money given the age of the facilities, lack of soundproofing b - Spacious, large bathrooms, clean, neat. Big balcony. Comfortable beds. Place had a “rising damp””/mouldy” smell to it which was really noticeable and off putting. You could hear tenants in unit above, sound proofing not great. (Other tenants were not overly noisy, however you could hear doors opening & people moving around). Facilities looked a bit tired for price of overnight stay ($590).

• Anna (7/5): Pleasant accommodation with terrific deck and views across the bay to the city. - View was terrific. Size of deck was great. Size of apartment was great. It would have been good to have bedside lights, and light over mirror in one bathroom. In addition, the property has quite uneven stairs which pose a trip risk as the highlighted edges are not flush with the stairs, the driveway is quite steep and the path from the bottom of the stairs is planks of wood surrounded by loose large pebbles. I had my 80 year old mother so the access proved difficult. Otherwise pleasant stay and would recommend for anyone wanting a sensational view - not really suitable for those with mobility issues.
