• Jacinta (9/5): Very comfortable with a lovely host. - The location was close to transport but leafy and quiet. I like to walk and there was a nice green space I could walk through in the evenings after work. Nothing to not like.

• Morgan (1/5): Stay away - A location that exists, at least that's something. Host (Alda) lost it because we had the audacity of entering a B&B at the time specified, only after calling out multiple times and with the door open - no signage no nothing, what are you supposed to do. Tip for Alda - when you run a B&B you should welcome guests, not turn them away and decline a refund. Also - apparently it's a crime if you arrive with someone else (to help with transport and luggage). For those that might read her response to this, save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this place, read the other reviews too. Meanwhile I paid for a week in advance for nothing and waiting for Alda to either do the right thing (unlikely) or bank to recover funds.
• Marina (5/5): Person with disability - Room was comfortable enough. It was only sleep for 3 nights Unfortunately room is upstairs, making it extremrlly dificult for a person with mobility issues to reach. But for others sgould be fine.

Was just not very flexible for what I needed

Bon rapport qualité/prix. 45 mn de train du centre ville certes en ligne directe, mais surtout ensuite 20 minutes à pied pour rejoindre la maison, donc à considérer. Pour le reste, rien d'extra, peu de considération pour les occupants, aucune compréhension en raison d'un retard de vol, et petit déjeuner très limite.

• Ashan (9/5): Cosy homely suburban stay - I stayed with Alda whilst attending to a family bereavement. She was incredibly warm and outgoing. We had enjoyable chats over breakfast before I headed out for the day. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedroom comfortable and the bathroom clean. Alda made my stay peaceful and smooth, which I greatly appreciated given my circumstances. Read the House Rules. This is more for guests to consider and something I had no issue with myself: guests should understand that they're staying in Alda's house, where she, her family and her pets live. This is not a hotel, and guests should consider it more similar to staying with a relative. If guests read the house rules, they'll know what to expect and have no issues.
• Alexandra (8/5): Beautiful retreat - Pros: location was convenient for where we wanted to go. Alda accommodated our needs well and made sure everything went smoothly with our stay. It felt like a retreat because of the forest. Wi-fi, TV and kitchen are good. Cons: This is just my personal thing, but I don’t like tap water much. Make sure to buy water. Otherwise, everything was good.

We did not like the omission by the booking agent "expedia" to advise that a fee of $16.68 will have to be paid to the bank for transferring AU$ into a foreign currency.

I also appreciated nice touches like chocolates in the room and the towels wrapped in a ribbon. It felt homey (largely due to being the host's own home, which was fine for me as I didn't mind being considerate of that and following the rules that are set out about use of shared spaces).
• Melisa Diana (10/5): Nice Bed&Breakfast - Super nice place to stay 😃 The room is big and cozy. Everything was clean. Alda is a super human being who you can discuss with. She’s so friendly (thank you ❤️ for everything).
• Don (5/5): Great for those on a tight budget. - It provided cost effective accommodation in an expensive city. Probably better suited for a commercial traveler than holiday maker. It has free WiFi. Room contains standard bedroom furniture and a small computer desk. Beecroft is a lovely leafy suburb with older style houses. This property however is not as mentioned in Beecroft but in a newish residential estate in West Pennant Hills. It is a 6-8 minute drive to either Beecroft or Cherrybrook where you can find the Metro/Rail services and eateries. Closest is a Coles Supermarket being a 5 minute drive away. The owner was away for most of my stay so it was run by family members who I would guess did not have the same passion Alda has. Their basic knowledge of the area appeared to be lacking i.e. what is the closest rail station, where is the best place to eat etc. The room was one of 2 spare bedrooms that are rented out. My room was the smaller one of the two and tended to get hot. It had only a small oscillating box fan to cool it (it however no longer oscillated). There is no TV. Personally, I felt uncomfortable being in a strangers house and more so as I rarely saw the couple said to live there.
• Greg (8/5): - Everything ok if a budget stay suits, which it did for me. Room & bathroom were fine. Sadly my bedroom smelt of someone else’s b.o. Breakfast: marmalade in abundance! Other supplies were a little lacking tbh & the host sniffing the long life skim milk on my arrival probably wasn’t the best look. I found another little full cream but had long expired. Overall you probably get what you pay for, not great but not the worst either.

• Kaz (8/5): Great. - My stay at this location was truly great! The strategic location, with easy accessibility to main roads and transport facilities, perfectly suited my needs. The house itself was nothing short of excellent – impeccably clean, and I even found solace in the delightful morning sounds of birds, which added a charming touch to my experience. Alda, the host, deserves special mention for her outstanding hospitality. She not only set clear expectations but also maintained seamless and transparent communication throughout my stay. Her commitment to ensuring a delightful experience truly stood out. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended! I must admit that my stay was virtually flawless, with absolutely nothing to complain about. However, I would advise future guests to carefully read and familiarise themselves with the conditions and rules outlined for the property. While these guidelines are clearly presented during the booking process, I unfortunately overlooked them, leading to unmet expectations for a couple of things that were explicitly not possible. It's a small caveat, but taking the time to thoroughly review the property details will undoubtedly enhance the overall experience.
• Maria (6/5): Good value for money considering it was New Year's, but we wouldn't repeat - The bedroom and bathroom were tidy and clean Good price and breakfast. Alda was nice with us. The room's carpet smelled like feet. Personally, we didn't have any issues with Alda, but we overheard her scolding the other girls staying at the BnB disproportionately (in our opinion) for spending too much time in the kitchen during breakfast. This made us feel a bit uneasy during our stay. Keep in mind that it's a house where the host lives with other family members, and there are rules to follow, such as not being able to shower after 10 pm.

• Mescheryakov (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable bed, pretty good location, and very good value for money. You won't find accommodation at this price in Sydney. Shared bathroom and toilet was not a problem for me, but the fantastic number of beautiful parrots on the backyard made an indelible impression.
• Tyson (1/5): HOT, UNCOMFORTABLE AND UNPLEASANT. COULD NOT RELAX - nothing, left early and only stayed 1/3 nights. I HAVE STAYED ALL OVER THE WORLD. WOULDNT RECCOMED. We were 30mins late for check in due to delayed flight and shuttle to rental car when we received a rude phone call from the host stating we were late and we could not check in then, we attempted to explain that we had only just gotten the chance to talk due to previously stated issues, after we said that it was okay and we wouldn't check in that night, she then changed her mind and tried to make us check in multiple times. After this rude phone call we felt too uncomfortable and deiced it was best not to check in late as not to inconvenience an already rude host, so we opted for a cheap motel (in which we should have stayed as it was much better all round) The next day we decided to go as it might be okay and she may have calmed down. During that day we were very busy looking at cars and received multiple messages from the host regarding when check-in times were okay for her. Even though check in times clearly are stated and there was not need to send these multiple messages. Much to our regret we proceeded to check in during the times stated. We were welcomed by a giant ugly electricity tower and host that was then reasonably polite. Then procced to tell us about people from minorities come and are very dirty suggesting she is glad we are Australian. (borderline racist undertone). She seemed happy with us and we proceeded to check in. The room was BOILING HOT AS SHE HAS STILL NOT FIXED THE HEATER/AC COMPLAINED ABOUT IN MULIPTLE REVIEWS, smaller then expected and all that it offers is a computer desk awkwardly in the way of the already little room there is. There was a floor fan already in the room that she took out once we arrived. Bed was very uncomfortable and bedroom door could not be locked when leaving the house, leaving your stuff free for anyone to look through potentially. Breakfast provided is opened, half used, god know how old used cereals and toast.
• Fuyuan (8/5): I'd come back next time while I'm travelling to Sydney. - Alda is so nice! The house located at a place close to the nature actually. The room view reaches the forest behind the garden. You can enjoy your breakfast in the diningroom with many kinds of birds playing in the garden. The toilet is clean and big, even it is shared with another roommate. The bed is big and confortable for your good sleeping.

Definitely great value for the price. We couldn't eat in the room, and were not allowed anywhere else in the house. Would've loved a day to eat in the place while resting, but it wasn't possible.
• Biddy (9/5): Very sweet place, I’ll be recommending this to my friends. - I really liked this BnB, it was very homey and clean. The lock on the bedroom door helped me feel safe and the host was very nice. The bed was very soft, there was good lighting for doing makeup, and the aircon kept the room nice and cool. There were a few spiders in the room (harmless but I do have arachnophobia so it was a little rough). The curtains were a bit thin (more of a personal preference thing).

• John (2/5): would not recommend at half the price - friendly cockroaches No tv unfriendly hosts student staying in next room did not have air conditioning or fly screens as he sweltered in his room each night not close to any amenities
• Cheryl (8/5): Relaxing stay in an inner city home, surrounded by beautiful gum trees and birds. - A real Australian bush feel. Lovely host in an inner city home. Easy to reach using public transport. Lovely gum tree's all around, and a Kookaburra came to visit at breakfast. Breakfast of cereal, toast, tea/coffee served in the kitchen. No WiFi available, but good phone signal.
• Jason (10/5): very calm location for if you need some rest. - everything was very organised and tidy. the host was very flexible and kind and helpful.
• Lishyanthi (8/5): Clean and quiet place and suited my requirement. - Fresh linen and towels, clean home and toilet, quiet neighbourhood.
