Guest Reviews
- Saffron (5/5): - Rooms clean good shower & other facilities Hard to sleep due to people talking loudly in corridor late banging doors street noise loud music from venue across the road till 3am
- Nuno (1/5): - 2 days now I haven’t got my deposit back yet
- Ruth (9/5): Worked out OK for my travels - Convenient location between airport and next part of my travels. Booking.com Lister address as Mitchell St. I needed to enter from Smith St.
City was very noisy between midnight and 1:00am.
- Hirusha (10/5): -
- Joel (1/5): - Cheap Cold shower, small room. Dodgy location. Car park extra.
- Janine (9/5): -
- Craig (7/5): not bad but booking in was interesting. - N/A we booked for 2 adults and there was only two pillows in the room. My mate who was alone in his room also had two pillows. I thought that it was standard to have 2 pillows per person.
- Anthony (5/5): Not a hotel, be warned - The location was central to all shops, restuarants, and sightseeing It is advertised as a comfort inn, but in reality it is a youth hostel, rooms not cleaned daiily, clean towels had to be requested, swimming pool tiny, limited access to gym. From all advertising on booking.com we assumed this was a hotel, NOT, a hostel.
- Gaynor-Sperring (8/5): Great value inn. - Clean and cosy. Position in centre of town really good. Exit to lane at rear difficult to negotiate. Steep high steps involved. I use a wheelie walker and could not lean on it. I had to go this way to get to office and buses to other areas.
- Simon (9/5): couple of beers at shags and a burger - I left early, didn't try the breakfast I didn't spend enough time to comment
- Yajing (8/5): - Location is perfect! Beautiful restaurant and bars around. Beautiful ocean view at walking distance. Hotel staff is attentive and caring. If you are looking for a nice and cozy place for a short stay in Darwin, this is the right place.
- Akila (10/5): Clean, cozy, and conveniently located. -
- Whiteman (8/5): - Was nice ,clean and staff friendly
- Lyn (2/5): I won’t stay there sgsin - The room smelt very bad the shower hasn’t been cleaned properly hair in the water drain and lots of mould
We originally got the room just to pack and have a shower etc before out 1.15 am flight and we couldn’t even do that in this room 😡

- Leigh belbin (10/5): - Comfort and friendly staff
- Emma (7/5): It wasn’t the most fancy or cleanest but if u need somewhere to stay it’ll do the job - That it was close to everything The smell from aircon and noises from others around
- Jason (10/5): - Staff
- Peter (10/5): - Great room great staff reception extremely helpful very impressed
- Moyle (3/5): Stressful. It was hard to find reception at the start. This was difficult because ad heavy suitcases - We didnt get any breakfast. The location was good for takeaway dinner food. Cleaning was poor, esp in bathroom. The bathrpom exhaust vent was heavily blocked by lint. One shower tap handle fell off and bruised my big toe.
- Lucy (10/5): Great staff great all round -
- Connie (7/5): - Everything, it’s was clean , the staff were very helpful. That I had book into the Darwin city hotel n pi t on Mitchell due to spacing in room and standard in room.

- Hung (8/5): 8/10 would come back again! - security the pool is a bit dirty
- Barry (7/5): -
- Michael (4/5): Staff were friendly - The room were clean , very compact , no where to put your suitcase , had to stand on your suitcase to get into bed
The place had more of a boarding house feel about it The booking address was 50 Mitchell street , there was a sign saying where to go , but was incorrectly marked , just made it a bit challenging to carry suitcases to the new location
We stayed on the top floor , very little water pressure and no hot water
- Mosa (10/5): Car park should be free for one night for all - I will leave early so I don’t know about breakfast Deposit money
- John (7/5): - Location and friendly staff
- WIDODO (7/5): Sebanding dengan harganya - Lokasi di tengah kota dan dekat kemana mana Malam minggu sangat berisik
- Heather (7/5): -
- Robert (5/5): - The shower was absolutely shit
- Alan Beverley pateman (9/5): Need more pillows in the room -
- Isobel (1/5): Room was very dirty and TV didn’t work. Wouldn’t - Location was good. Room and bathroom was dirty and smelled like mold. Mold all over the bathroom and toilet hadn’t been cleaned. There was a food stain on the only blanket given. TV didn’t work.
- Connor (6/5): Overall, a manageable stay at the hotel; nothing too fancy; satisfactory for conditions and locale - Air con was good for afternoons. Bed mattress was good and layout of the room. Just enough space for a mostly comfortable stay. Location is perfect. Room was cleaned twice with replacement of linen. Extra security and parking fee on top of booked room. Walls are thin, you can hear every door open and close and every live band from up the street. Hotel hall smelled of cigarette smoke entire time. Under bed was not clean. Was not informed of kitchen until too late.
- Freda (10/5): - Everything. None.
- Christine (7/5): -
- Alisha (1/5): It was horrendous, filthy dirty, fighting, unsafe, noisy. - Nothing Everything, we had to book our employees into somewhere else as the accommodation was unsafe, dirty, unhygienic and noisy
- Jacqueline (1/5): Overall - I was very disapointed. - Central location I found a rum can under the bed and a one dollar coin on top of the fridge indicating that cleaners didn’t pull things out to clean. The bin was not emptied during our stay.
The external door and gate were extremely noisy and kept slamming shut. All through the night as people came and went. It reverberated through our room every single time. Put some ‘soft close’ attachments on them. It was very noisy in general with people talking/yelling in the corridor and outside.
The venue smelt like smoke.
The room was tiny - not what I was expecting from the photos.
It was difficult to find the entrance at 2am in the morning to check in (our flight arrived at that time). Not being able to access the property from Mitchell Street was a pain.
I had thought from the booking that gated car parking was included, to find out on arrival it was $15 extra. It was one of the reasons I booked this accommodation.
- KAMAL (7/5): I will stay here again - Room was small although self contained Towels were not clean. But the staff quickly changed fed them when I informed them
- Daniel (3/5): - I’m not staying there tonight It was so loud. Doors slamming all night. People yelling in the corridors. If you’re planning on sleeping don’t stay here
- David (3/5): - Location was good, main strip Odour in room, dirty walls
- Connor (10/5): -
- Ben (7/5): - Good value, friendly staff Room waS hardly ever serviced. Only once in my three week stay. Was dirt on floor when I checked in. Very close to Mitchell Street, and was very noisy over the weekend.
- Peter (9/5): - Reasonable prize, good location and room was good....l mean big space and microwave and jug provided with tea/ coffee/ sugar and milk Small car 🚗 park,
- Farhan (1/5): Nights staff don’t know how to communicate and speak English and don’t know what to do about customer if complaints room - Nothing Everything
- Mangiru (10/5): -
- Nev (7/5): Darwin - Good location, value for your money. Some in considerate people always slamming doors
- Kafley (2/5): Ok. - They mentioned car parking space in the advertisement and booking pages. And asked me to pay extra $15.
This was quite misleading.
DcH need to improve on this. And mention that upfront.
Thanks
Dom
- Augusto (9/5): -
- Hung (6/5): Nice los - Nice location, hips of parking spot, nice aircon the Key for our room was faulty but luckily we got in our room after requesting staff for a key change
- Netcee (5/5): -
- Matt (1/5): Would not stay again - Location Paper thin walls. Could hear tvs and conversations across the corridor all night, as well as the front door closing every time somebody came/left.
Corridor smelt like people clearly smoke in the rooms.
- Andre (5/5): - Location The bed was uncomfortable
- Sith (1/5): Will never stay at either property. - Moved from first room as tv was scratched and dirty as was the room, nightclub bass until late on a Sunday and people screaming was the issue with the second one. Noise, dirty, unkept.

- Salvation (3/5): -
- Nicholas (9/5): -
- Caoimhe (5/5): - The bed was comfy, convenient place Guests where loud, walls are fithy, sheets stained
- Kali (1/5): - Barely anything. The pictures to advertiser were extremely misleading. The room was musty, smelled of mildew and dirty when arrived, cobwebs in room. Bathroom dirty.
Housekeeping missed service for first night.
Charged a cleaning fee incorrectly. Staff were rude.
- Frain (1/5): - Left an expensive bracelet in the room. I had picture evidence of where it was left, staff said housekeeping did not see it, and were extremely unhelpful when I tried to go back to get it or follow up.
- Rodney (8/5): All good - All good Coffee cups were too small
- Tewano (7/5): -
- ALLAN (5/5): - Price Didn’t like how there’s 2 DCH n parking where the location. Can’t get into Mitchell Street n have to get in the opposite way n Wasn’t explained properly.
- Perkins (8/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Phil (10/5): - Location, room's, pubs Pillows on bed
- Nicholas (8/5): - Location ,how roomi is cleaned and ease of booking dch through the app. Gate doesn't close and randoms can come in. It's left open by guests and staff....it's weird.
- Matthew (6/5): It suited what I needed - Location, Price A bit old, but that’s ok
- Eric (8/5): -
- Samundra Dhakal (8/5): -
- denise (10/5): - The room was clean. The air conditioning ran quiet and cool. Overall it was a very good stay.
- Mathew (7/5): -
- Agustin (10/5): -
- Newman (6/5): - Too noisy and tiny room
- Riaz (3/5): Stay somewhere else - Location TINY
no staff service
Accom across the road?!
- Ken (5/5): Lucky I only had to attempt to sleep there. - Location was excellent. Offsite parking. Paid for parking that I couldn’t use at times due to non guests cars taking up spaces. People leaving gates and doors open. Nowhere to hang washed clothes, so forced to use dryer. Loud guests, woken almost every night. No sound proofing. Fan in bathroom did nothing, fogged up mirror. Fridge in room, freezer section all frozen up, no space to actually use. Checking process confusing, signs are not accurate. No phone to contact reception from rooms. Not enough pillows. No room to fill a water bottle in room, have to go to kitchen and water tap are too slow.
- David (3/5): Not good - Bed was good, location was good No hot water. Shower head broken. Bathroom smelt of urine
