Anne (9/5): Standard X is a great match for Fitzroy. - Location. Simplicity and finishes of rooms. Entry area. Windows open, always good to get some fresh air. List of local favourites. Great view form rooftop. Very comfortable bed, nice linen and big pillows. Large towels. No recycling of rubbish. If not in the room, maybe at the entry or near elevator? Blind - only able to be up or down. No in between to have some privacy.

The Garden Market is just located right beside the hotel, what a gem!

9cfc5307433d72db64ae0094dd06c4ff (8/5): Modern comfortable hotel, don't count on the rooftop bar though - Comfortable room. Nice decor and good views from the rooftop. Rooftop bar was supposed to be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with times written in the lift. Checked Thursday and Saturday and both times the bar was closed. The weather wasn't great but it's still under cover with heaters so it's a bit strange for there to be no staff there. Also saw some other guests asking if they could get a drink at the hotel but were directed to the few wines and beers they sell in the fridge next to reception.
