The cozy wood fire and beautiful spa bath made it feel like our own private hideaway. Set among peaceful bushland near the Murray River, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing while still being close to Echuca. The hosts were welcoming and the grounds were spotless.

Our cottage had an indoor fireplace and gorgeous soaking tub (there’s even one outside but too cold to use!) Room had modern and high luxe facilities and the decor is outstanding. Amazingly stocked with plenty of food for breakfast and snacking! Thank you for our incredible stay - we hope to be back!

• Paco (6/5): It was comfortable and the owners were lovely, but outside the cottage it was very run down and needs some tlc - The cottage was very comfortable, it was provided with lots of food including bacon eggs cereal milk juice bread and lots of spreads The bed was very comfortable and it was nice and clean inside The water was very dirty and when we ran the spa it looked like tea, the garden was very run down The threat of extra charges if dishes were not cleaned caused us stress so we didn’t want to use the bbq etc in case it wasn’t cleaned properly

• Adam (10/5): Excellent - We checked in late due to travelling, owner was very accommodating and met us out the front of our cottage when we arrived late at night. Room was presented beautifully, fridge was loaded for breakfast and the room was littered with treats, ie; chocolates and cookies, bath bombs and fragrances. Amenities were great, to bad it was a really hot weekend that we stayed so we couldn't make the most of them. The owner/management were awesome, very pleasant and prompt with any queries or requests. Everything was to a very high standard, would definitely stay again. We stayed in the newest cottage to be renovated, I wanna say it was 95% complete, we were still very happy with our stay, only criticism would possibly be, as soon as the sun hits the room, the top floor/bedroom begins to heat up, the aircon works exceptionally well but makes bottom floor cold. Not sure if one was installed, but the cottage could definitely benefit from a whirly bird/birds. It was a really hot weekend too though, so maybe we were just unlucky in that regard.

Murray River Spa Retreat will forever have a special place in our hearts. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the picturesque surroundings and cottages. The kangaroos that greeted us and the most perfect finishing touches to our cottage as we entered. We walked into felt like a world away from home but with the warm welcomings of fresh bread, eggs, chocolates all the way down to a hand-written greeting! To finish off an perfect weekend, the cottage ended up being the perfect place to get engaged! From the bottom of our hearts, until we stay again, THANK YOU!

Serenity Standard cabin was pure amazing in real life, better than the photos. You must come down to experience it. This place gets my 5 star votes. Great romantic and relaxing escape. We especially appreciated the fireplace on the rainy day—it made the atmosphere so cozy and inviting. The quiet and peaceful surroundings made for a truly relaxing escape. Nothing !
• Carol (10/5): Charming and picture perfect stay - It was great to see that the photos online actually matched the accommodation and how beautiful it was. We stayed at the Serenity Cottage for 2 nights. The cottage felt warm, cosy with a rustic feel and all the necessary amenities, it was just the right size, without it being too big and cold or too small and claustrophobic. When we arrived we were surprised to find some free bread, egg, bacon, milk, cereal, chocolate and other snacks waiting for us. There was no proper kitchen as such, but they supplied an electrical frying pan, toaster, microwave, kettle, etc. which was enough for us. There was also a BBQ outside. The cottage inside was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had all the necessary comforts. The fireplace was wonderful for a cold night. The outside was story book charming and perfect for a morning tea or coffee. The location was a little away from the main city centre and not walking distance, but peaceful if you are looking for something serene. Overall a beautiful, serene weekend escape The internet connection was not great, which made us put the phone down and actually enjoy each others company as well as our surroundings. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a small booklet with some information about the cottage, any rules to follow, maybe on how to work the fireplace (we've had some experience and no issues, but our first time was a learning exercise); and any other relevant information around the property. That is usually the first thing I look for when I go away, just to familiarise myself with the accommodation.

We were thankful for the air-conditioning as we had arrived on a hot long weekend. It is such a lovely relaxing place to stay. Being away from town is a bonus as you can fully unwind and watch the kangaroos at dusk and dawn from the verandah, which was a highlight for me. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed the spa with its personal touch of candles and bath salts provided. We would love to come back in the cooler months for a stay and take advantage of the wood fire in the cottage. Minimal phone reception.

On arrival we were greeted like friends and given a full rundown of facilities and made aware of the added benefit of a pathway down to the river through the property. Upon entering the cottage we found so many little extras! Bacon, eggs, milk, bread, juice and snacks! The cottage was nicely furnished with the most amazing towels! The bed was comfortable and the couch was comfortable enough to really relax and indulge in an afternoon nap. I could not pick anything wrong with our stay

• Brittany (10/5): - The property is located around a 10minute drive from Echuca. It has private cabins. I believe that there were other guests there however we only know this by other cars around we didnt see a single soul otherwise. You cannot judge a book by its cover and this could not be more true for these little cottages. Outside looks a bit rough however (appropriately fits in with the local bushland) once you open the door we were blown away with how special the cabin was. It is perfectly fitted out in era furniture however maintains class in the said furniture and finer touches. We were welcomed with a fresh loaf of bread from a local bakery and on expection had our fridge packed with breakfast options. We cannot recommend this accommodation more highly for a laid back and relaxing getaway
