• Ashley (10/5): - The Staff where great and the room very clean and very clean toilet and shower. Very happy and will be back there again.
• Akash (4/5): - There are no attached bathrooms or toilets. You are supposed to use community toilets which I have experienced first time in my life. There are no lifts and you have to lug all luggage over to your allotted room upstairs. On positive side, there is a large nice varandah with a nice view of the sea.

• Barrie l (8/5): - I was impressed by the overall ambiance of the venue the basic room was very well presented the shared mens ablution facilities were extremely pleasant and scrupulously clean. My only fault The floor level of the facility is 30cms approximately above the hall passageway leading to it. There needs to be a prominently displayed sign at eye height on the wall adjacent to the exit door. Guests are more likely to forget this height difference resulting in a potentially dangerous fall. I admit this was the case for me fortunately nothing broken just a skun elbow and a bit of blood. I will be quite happy to stay again. Please consider my request for the implementation of appropriate action
• Kym (8/5): - Great little spot for our stay. Between jobs so an overnighter. Shared bathrooms but newly renovated, very clean and easy to get to at the end of the passage. Tea and coffee outside in the hall with cereal, milk and juice provided. Highly recommended for this type of stay. Beach right out in front for a walk and great views.

• Josh (6/5): - Staff at Pt Broughton Hotel are always brilliant. On 24 April, the four / five rooms next to us (2-3 on either side) were booked out for a big family gathering. They set up outside of our room (no.12) with their camp chairs drinking, smoking, yelling until all hours. We have a four year old daughter and couldn’t get her down due to their super loud drunken behaviour. When she finally got down, it woke her up again. Love Pt Broughton, the town, the people, the hotel and the staff. Was just unfortunate we were stuck next to a crowd like that who chose that night to stay (most looked over 50, not behaviour you'd expect from them). Anyway, better luck next tume

• Wayne (8/5): - Room was nice. Shared male bathroom could definitely do with a revamp. No light for male toilets, only shower that seemed to work ok was middle one which also had the drain and it appeared partially blocked.

• Alex (8/5): - The stay overall was good, the room was clean and had everything you needed. The shared bathroom was clean and although it could probably benefit from an upgrade, no complaints. The room had a comfortable bed, TV, some storage, air conditioning and was quiet. The breakfast was good with cereal and toast. I would definitely stay again.
• Peter (10/5): Long weekend getaway - The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was great to use with it being so hot. The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch but was not stocked as well as our previous 2 last stays.
• PARAG (8/5): - The check-in instructions were not very clear in the booking confirmation. Also instructions at site were difficult to find out. My booking on Lastminute.com indicated that breakfast was included in the room rent, where as check-in staff mentioned that it is not included for motel booking. I didn't argued with them and believed them. This discrepancy should be highlighted to the property and customer needs to be informed/compensated.

• Jo (10/5): - Property was well presented, neat and tidy with a few little extras like tim tams yum The only fault was not enough information of where to collect the key When we asked locals and they were able to give us information When we checked in at the hotel the service was great Probably more information out a contact number on the website would be helpful to know to collect the key from the hotel as the hotel accommodation is not manned Very comfortable
• Atef (8/5): - Property was good but the room needed Microwave to be added to it. The eat in at the Broughton hotel was 50-50. We ordered the hot seafood platter twice (most expensive on the menue) first time on Sunday was was good we ordered it again on Tuesday and was terrible (obviously different chef/person cooked it. The prawns and Calamari were very small, frozen not fresh (as we were told) as the chef ranout of fresh ones and the chef cooked them frozen so it arrived to our table burnt and very chewy. Verry poor meal indeed.
• NATHAN (8/5): - Although said was staying at sunyside motel, i actually stayed at port broughton pub at top of hotel which is a distane from sunnyside motel, i think they run both. I went to sunnyside and said go to pub to check-in. It was quite busy and confusing to be honest but eventually got room and was quite decent an could acces th pub balcony for a drink and tea with water view. Shared bathroom ok but the first shower i tried had cold water. The second one all hot. For a budget stopover for 1 or 2 all good, breakfast included
• Lorinda (2/5): - Unfortunately, when I called on 26th Dec it was confirmed I was in a Sunnyside motel room with a fridge for my medication. On arrival, I was allocated a room in the pub with no fridge. I was very disappointed. This wasn't ideal with a child when there is a band and people drinking. Also upstairs wasn't easy for a person with multiple sclerosis. To make it worse the bathroom was out of order. I raised this with staff and I was told it was being cleaned. This was not true, the shower had been flooding for a couple of days which another guest had informed me of. There was no alternative offered.
• Cheryl (6/5): - Found it confusing when arriving as directs you to the Sunnyside Motel which has small sign saying if requires or information located 600m down the road to haveto ask random if they knew which location was the office which was the pub other that and the bathrooms & plumbing needing alot of work the room was comfortable, staff where lovely, pub food was delicious with live music was great
• Lorinda (2/5): - I called to confirm I was in a room with a fridge 26/12. Drive 3 hrs and on arrival there was no fridge. Ladies toilets out order. Shower was flooded. Very disappointed.
• Tegan (4/5): - Disappointed that we booked for the motel and ended up with a room at the hotel above the pub. A few other people had this same experience.
• Pui Ka Patricia (2/5): - Stay away. Disgusting place and do not fall into trap especially high season. It is cleaner to sleep on the bench outside of the ‘hotel’ near the jetty. You get an address of the motel which is decent then when you arrive your room is not at the motel, it is above the pub/hotel 200 metres away with a shared bathroom like a hostel. The bathroom needs bleach and deep clean for sure, which they have not done it since 1980. End of story.

• Debbie (6/5): - The room itself was very clean and lovely to have a shower with great water pressure.. a rare find. I understand it was a long weekend but with the only decent place to eat being Port Broughton Hotel having to wait an hour for our meals was a bit extreme. When booked for the Sunday night they didn't even have a table. I was basically told bad luck. Found a bar table outside only to be surrounded by smokers so left. No where to get food after 8pm in the area.

Less than 1/2 a roll of toilet paper, toilet seat kept moving when sitting. Needs jug for filling kettle, flooring feels sticky under foot. No staff member available if needed. Sign out front of motel says to clarify where to check in 200 metre down street not good enough or what building to go to.
• Glenn (10/5): - A mid-century gem that is worth a detour to stay at. Simple, timeless and spotlessly clean.
• Jennifer (8/5): Great value - Clean comfortable fresh well organised room. Check in at pub was not far. After some debate was told there was no breakfast but the next morning on enquiring found a simple but satisfying basic free breakfast at the pub.

• Nicole (10/5): Lovely Sunnyside - We love the Sunnyside, we've stayed here a couple of times now as a stop on our way further west or east. The new managers have done a lovely job transforming this vintage motel into a stylish, contemporary space whilst retaining its 60s beachside vibe - right down to the palm trees and swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and light and the quality of the furnishings is out of the ordinary for a country motel (we've stayed in a lot of them over the years). It's extremely clean and it's been quiet at night during our stays. The hotels.com listing incorrectly shows standard rooms as having a shared bathroom - the Sunnyside rooms are ensuite, complete with rainfall shower heads. Check-in is at the Port Broughton Hotel just down the street and both times we've stayed, the staff there have been friendly and professional. Bonus, the food at the pub is great! As others have mentioned, there's no toaster or microwave in the motel rooms, but continental breakfast is included in the tariff and available on a serve-yourself basis at the pub - it's simple but it does the job. There's also a "buy one, get one free" voucher in the room for a coffee at the cafe down the road. For the price, we think the Sunnyside is outstanding and can only recommend it.

• Lyndon (8/5): - A real Case of don't judge a book by it's cover! Outside the motel looks dated with the old dining area all abandoned/ boarded up. But inside the rooms are immaculate and recently renovated with a seaside style. Very clean a real nice surprise. Checking in was a bit confusing. It's done down the street at the big hotel/ pub ( also the continental breakfast). Looked around for a while before just approaching the bar and finding someone to sort out the check in. Happy with our stay.
