- Juliana (9/5): - The vibe of the place was nice. Simple but just what you need. The pub is nice place to have some drink or food for a chill evening
- Toni (9/5): - Such a pretty area.
Staff were amazing.
- Lizzie (8/5): Great Vibe - I loved how this hotel seemed to transport me back to England! I felt like I was in an English pub. Quaint, timber floors, typical hotel. Staff were lovely & accommodating, attending to a minor oversight very quickly, the complimentary drinks, the food was delicious, the vibe in the pub was friendly, the location was spot on. The room and beds were comfortable, windows were able to be opened to take advantage of cool night air, bathrooms clean, kitchenette clean, tidy and accessible. I particularly loved seeing dogs at random places like the top of the stairs! Only thing would be to improve fan speed but we had a ceiling fan and oscillating wall fan and had both on because I prefer to sleep cold. (Its May)

- CRISTINA (9/5): I enjoyed and as a pub staying on a Friday night was very quiet in the pub which I expected it was going to be very nois - Uniqueness and the history Wifi very slow I couldn’t make my check in in time
- Jonathan (8/5): -

- Brooke (7/5): - Loved the heritage feel. The staff were helpful, welcoming and informative. Shared Bathrooms however were laking supplies including no toilet paper so I believe a back up of these to be made available when needed or be prepared and being your own with you.
Bed was very low and making it hard to get in and out of it. Not suited for taller people.
Not suitable for anyone who struggles using stairs and no lift available.
- Clint (10/5): - Location, clean accommodation and price
- Darren (9/5): - Friendly staff & lovely atmosphere in the hotel & bar
Great location for Darling Harbour & the City
- Adam (10/5): 10/10 - Beautiful quiet area. Old school pub Not much
- Anya (10/5): Perfect - Loved the building! Amenities and room were nice and clean too :) lovely staff and lovely vibes. Will be back for sure Nothing
- Kath (8/5): - Very close to Darling Harbour

- Jolanta (8/5): Fajny, bez napinki i w dobrej lokalizacji - Klimatyczny budynek. Fajny bar na dole i drink powitalny. Cisza a rankiem świergot ptaków. Blisko fajne śniadania. Deska do prasowania z żelazkiem, herbaty. :) No łazienka wspólna co czasem zmusza do poczekania. Insekt - prusak w barze ale to pewnie kwestia całego budynku
- Robert (8/5): -
- matthew (9/5): Clean tidy up. Very good value quiet area -
- Hang Anh (7/5): Comfy stay with a great vibe but... shared bathroom - The staff were super friendly and helpful. The building is old and gives a very cool vibe. They also provided complimentary drink in the bar, we had apple cider and lemon lime bitter and a great night before going to bed. The room is comfy and I had a good sleep. With my aim to go to Sydney Fish Market the following day, the location is good. - The toilet, albeit looking tidy, has cockroaches. When we were there, there were only 2 families so the shared bathroom is fine but I can imagine it being too crowded if there were more people.
- The room is cold at night and there is no heating. I think it would definitely be tough in the winter.

- Lindy (10/5): Excellent place to stay. Very good value - It delivered exactly what it said it would. A charming pub, lovely staff with a good range of beers and excellent food choice.
The rooms are airy and clean. The bathroom facilities worked well and we never had to wait.
Lovely local neighbourhood and we highly recommend going to Quarry street cafe for coffee, tea, breakfast etc they are excellent.
- Alexandra (9/5): - friendly, calm location, clean no aircon - very hot in the room, also very small room - not really suitable for long stay
- Verma (8/5): A well-located and reasonably priced stay, but let down by unclear check-out policies. - The location is very convenient, close to the city and the train station. It offers good value for money, with complimentary drinks on arrival and a nice perk of 15% discount for guests on food and drinks at the restaurant and bar. The online information stated that checkout was available from midnight to midnight, but the staff were unaware of this and insisted that the standard checkout time is strictly 10am. This inconsistency was disappoint.
- Narelle (7/5): -
- Maureen (7/5): Great service country style tavern - Country tavern vibe No bathrooms in room
- Florian (7/5): - Sehr nette Mitarbeiter.
- Paul (9/5): - Close to Wentworth park nice to be in a historical building Rubbish tended to pile up across at neighbouring rubbish bins the hotel bins were fine just a visual aesthetic thing .
- Magdalena (9/5): -
- Tanja (5/5): The hotel has its own character and the position is great. Cleanliness is good, however the fans need cleaning too. The - The location was great, close to public transport and away from the busy streets and traffic.
The room and shared bathroom were clean.
You’ll get a free drink voucher to spend in the bar upon arrival. The building is pretty old inside which makes us noisy inside to walk and open/close the doors/windows.
My mattress was and sagged down, it wasn’t that comfortable and hurting my back.
The guests next to me (8) where very loud and having gatherings in their room with a bunch of people - it was impossible for me to have a nap during the day and got woken up in the mornings by them.
- Phuong Minh (9/5): - Live music sunday afternoon
The vibe is immaculate, it’s like being back to Europe
Leafy neighbourhood, very chilled and peaceful Wish there are room with private bathrooms
- Lea (8/5): -
- Hong-Kai (7/5): - Everything is good. The only thing that might need to improve is the quality of bed. The beds have a concave shape in the middle, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. Everything else is perfect.

- tina (10/5): Lord Worsley,🍻 - Lovely staff that were very helpful. Ideal for people doing a cruise as terminal about 10 minutes away. Nice food and plenty of it! Lovely leafy suburb with cute little cafe just down the road🌻 Nothing!
- Kay (8/5): Friendly staff and a very pleasant stay in a traditional pub - Comfortable clean and good value
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Rachel (7/5): Lovely pub, would stay again - Great quiet, leafy location close to the centre of Sydney. Clean and comfortable room with decent wifi. Friendly staff. A cute little historical pub. I thought tea and coffee were provided, but the tea in the kitchen were empty and the coffee in the jar was black and shrivelled. The lack of heater/air con meant it was a little cold overnight but overall fine for the time of year.
- Peter (9/5): Walk to the city, sleep in peace - Location is good. Private room was quiet and clean. Value is exceptional. Staff friendly. Check in was at a busy time at the bar so had to wait 10 mins. Not the end of the world.
- Kristy (8/5): -
- J (9/5): - Very nice and quiet place on a walking distance of the city center. Staff was nice. You get a discount of the food in the pub. There is a communal kitchen you can use. Few toilets and showers to use. Wifi works. It would be nice, if they served some breakfast. There is no AC in the room, but there is a fan.
- Siew Kuan (8/5): Value for money - Clean
- Charlotte (8/5): Great little hotel for the price point - Beautiful building from the late 1800, very well situated in a charming little neighborhood.
The shared bathroom are clean.
For this price point in Sydney it is very good. My room was directly above the pub, and the noise was too loud. Luckily this is Australia and the party finished at 10pm!
- SUE (9/5): Great budget stay , with excellent staff in top location. - I liked how clean the room and bathrooms were. The location to be able to walk to Fish Markets, and Maritime museum. I also walked ( 20 mins ) from Central Station. The little pub downstairs was great, with excellent staff. Also happy to get a free drink, and 15% off food and drinks . Can't think of anything.
- Penny (8/5): Great location - Comfortable bed.
Free drink voucher on arrival and 15% off food and drinks Walking the stairs to my room and sharing a bathroom and toilet
- Pamela (8/5): - The location was central and convenient to public transport options. Set in an old residential area, bordered by green spaces, and a quiet street out the front. A piece of Sydney's history, bordering a vibrant and bustling part of Sydney. The staff were very helpful, and friendly. This is a small family run hotel offering clean, comfortable basic rooms above a charming historic pub, at a reasonable price point. The addition of a hairdryer, would be a useful addition to the room.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Colleen (8/5): Will recommend and stay there again, very private - A quaint little place, I found the Light Rail using the map the staff provided, Hay Market and China Town just a few stops away, very easy to get to Central and other places Having to share the bathrooms, but I must say they were spotless!
- Roy (8/5): Romantisch hotel, zó uit de film! Hier MOET je een keer overnachten. Waanzinnige belevenis! Dit is een must see!
- Shuyin (10/5): -
- Morag (10/5): Lovely welcome late at night-thanks Toby. A hotel with charm and atmosphere. Loved it thanks -
- Amke (8/5): -
- Martin (7/5): -
- Jing (9/5): It’s very good Location nearby attractive - The staff super nice and helpful None
- Mayra (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): We will be going back - Super friendly staff. Felt welcome. Food delicious Liked everything
- James (10/5): - Lovely quiet location not far from the centre
Had the feeling of an old English pub
- Lily (10/5): Perfect - Great vibe and location was a short walk from what you needed.
Staff at the pub downstairs were brilliant.
Easy check in and out.
Recommend for back packers for a couple days in Sydney. Very hot rooms no aircon but stated prior to booking so took the risk.
Keep windows and curtains shut which helps.
Nothing we couldn’t handle which was fine for us.
- Sally (6/5): Not pleasant. Could use a good clean from the ground floor down. Upstairs was awesome - Great location and atmosphere. The downstairs bathrooms and storerooms were flooded with raw sewage smell. I was feeling off from travel and it put me over the edge. Cut our stay short. Couldn’t stay there another minute.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great price, quiet location.
- RUBEN GUSTAF INGEMAR (10/5): -
- Jeff (9/5): Great location. Charming Pub. Simple and clean accommodation. - Very cute local pub. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Simple and spotless. Quiet by 10ish. Honestly - I wouldn't change anything.
- Yiwen (10/5): -
- Dearna (9/5): Great place for overnight stay, so close to all you need to visit. Lovely cafes close by. - The old world hotel and area. Very close to Darling Harbour, the new Fish Markets (open to 10pm) and Chinatown. Unfortunately the room is not air conditioned & was hot overnight. It is February and humidity is still high.
- Owen (9/5): - Cozy little spot and friendly staff. Very clean. Loved it to bits.
- Brian (7/5): For laid back single travelers and partner you don't want to splash out on! - Quintessential neighbourhood pub in a quite residential area. Small green luscious park right on its doorstep, a pleasure to have a pint in. Didn't have food as don't serve Mondays and Tuesday's. Pub itself is steeped in history, untouched in many ways but full of character. The rooms are basic, very basic, not en suite.
Beds comfortable and clean but no air con. Two fans that don't offer much relief. Annoyingly air con unit directly outside room 4 windows but doesn't serve the bedrooms. Luckily I had good earplugs otherwise I would have found the intermittent noise from it hard to tolerate.

- Christopher (8/5): I'll definitely stay here again. - What the room lacked in creature comforts was amply compensated for by the amazing vibe downstairs. The staff are all amazing and fantastic food. The room needs a reno and the noisy exhaust ventilation under the floor took some getting used to.
- H (4/5): - Location I was reprimanded by the morning staff member for checking out at 12pm the time agreed upon and paid for on Booking.com. They said it should have been 10am. That made me feel uncomfortable and put a dampener on my stay there. I was going to have lunch there and use my drink voucher but left due to that encounter playing on my mind for hours after. As well as the steps to my room and carrying my bags up two flights of narrow stairs was awful.
- Marina (9/5): - Lovely location, lovely old building. No complaints! Could be noisy at points, but it's a pub so that's to be expected.
- Christian (9/5): Excellent stay with clean shared bathroom and comfortable bedding. Staff were kind and attentive. - I loved the willingness for staff to flexibly help and promptly action items that required attention. Broken kettle.
