Guest Reviews
- Cath (10/5): -
- Liam (6/5): - The house was very nice and clean. The hosts were great and very accomodating of my requests. The location is perfect quiet and a short work to town and an enjoyable walk to the water. Stairs quite steep so painful when only 1 bathroom on the ground floor.

- Leisa (10/5): -
- Julie (9/5): The beds are very comfortable. Location was fantastic close to everything. - The house was wonderful. It was close to everything The only thing that we didn’t like were the stairs. They were far too steep. Everything else was fantastic.
- Stone (8/5): -
- Ingrid (9/5): - Location, facilities and parking were great! The stairs to the top level were steep and difficult to navigate with bags.
- Bouckaert (8/5): -
- robert (9/5): -
- Franz (9/5): - It was a great size, and felt new and was very clean. The location was great and it was very cute on the outside. The outdoor area was a nice bonus. The stairs are pretty steep but we were ok as younger people.
- Adrian (10/5): Excellent location, very cool place to stay. 15-20 min walk from Salamanca. The cafe down the road is very good. - It’s was very comfortable, give you an old school feel on the outside and modern on the inside. Stairs are steep but not an issue. Maybe warn people booking with old people, prior.
- Eadaoin (10/5): -
- Yen (9/5): Love the location and the house. - Central location, well designed and functional, easy to find. Very professionally run and managed. The stairs.
- Stephanie & David (7/5): Host was friendly available as needed and helpful - N/A Couldnt turn off the strip light in the kitchen
No peeler in the drawer
- Vivien (9/5): -
- DIAN-XUAN (10/5): - It is very clean with all kitchenwares we need, and its great to have the parking place in front of the house. We had a great time there The stair is a little dangerous, but no prob for adults, need to supervise kids though
- Anthony (9/5): Excellent stay, won’t miss the stairs - Good location, clean and tidy The stairs
- Sylvia (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): - Clean, compact, well located. Quite good kitchen facilities. Really everything was excellent for a family. Very steep stairs, difficult with luggage or for unfit folk. Only one bathroom . Parking space was very tight for a large vehicle
- Renay (9/5): -
- Kwok Hung (9/5): -
- Gregory (9/5): Great stay - Close to everything, very clean and comfortable, nice and warm, .had all the amenities you need Stairs are a bit steep but not rally a problem for able people
- John (10/5): -
- Liselle (7/5): Enjoyable stay with family but lacking in certain areas. - Good location, the shower was wonderful, clean and modern The stairs weren’t manageable or practical for our party. Also the heating was very erratic. Wasn’t able to access Netflix either.
- Trent (9/5): Great place. Clean. Great amenities. Really central. - Nice and central. Great parking space. We were extremely happy with the place. No issues for us.
- Warwick (10/5): Fantastic accommodation and stay. - Great location, very well appointed townhouse,
- Chris (10/5): Perfect 4 day stay - That it wasn't far from anything as long as your directional sense was working, and the nearest Cafe was just 300 metres away, a godsend for brekky. Only one toilet, we were a group of mainly siblings with a couple of inlaws thrown in occasionally, the girls were leery the first day but they acclimatised. Plus, the central heating unit is directly above the single beds, it sounded like a helicopter hovering, turned it right down/off the balance of the stay.
- Alison (9/5): Great spot, beautiful house - The house was in a fabulous location, we walked everywhere we wanted to be within Hobart. Beautifully renovated and extremely clean There wasn’t enough space in the lounge room for all of us (5) at the one time
- Scott (5/5): Nice terrace but the dangerous stairs made our stay disappointing - The place is quiet and clean, and it is easy to walk around to many cafes, restaurants, and even to the waterfront. Off-street parking is great. The owners need to either let potential visitors know about the dangerous stairs or make them less precarious. We had two people that had mobility issues. It would be fine for a young, fit family. The stairs were terrifying especially for an 81 year old that may need to use the toilet during the night.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (10/5): We loved the place and enjoyed Hobart and this was the perfect location, close to everything. - Excellent location modern with good facilities. Well equipped kitchen, Nothing
- Paula (8/5): Very good - Great kit hen facilities. Very comfortable for a 4 night stay The stairs
- Moira (8/5): A lovely, relaxing apartment that suited our needs. Outside deck was well used!!! - We had difficulty with the key lock, very stiff and it took a bit to lock on leaving. Not being warned about the steepness of the stairs. We are all in our late 60's, luckily all very mobile, but we all had difficulty with stairs. If there had been mobility issues we would not have been able to access the bedrooms, maybe hindering our stay there.
Maybe a mirror in the upstairs bedrooms.
- Julia (8/5): Great location for walking around Hobart. Beware of the steps! - Great location, modern and clean. The stairs are incredibly steep such that taking large cases to the second floor is very precarious. Not for the faint of heart or elderly.
Would have liked a top sheet on the single beds upstairs (other beds were fine).
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - surprisingly spacious.
- Colleen (9/5): We enjoyed the ambience of the cottage - Beautiful renovations The steep stairs. Not suitable for older people
- Doubled (7/5): As advertised. - Fairly central location, clean, double showers were great! Drying rack on back porch was useful. Beds were comfy. Tours of Mt. Wellington and Bruny Island were amazing!! We had 6 people in our group, would have been nice to have more than 1 disposable dishcloth and 1 hand towel in kitchen. There were no paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper which we ran through. A fan for stuffy nights would be nice. Upon checkout we were informed that the TV remote couldn’t be located by the cleaners. We checked all our bags when we arrived home, no remote mistakenly packed. We were charged for a remote. The living room is the size of a postage stamp with black carpet, black furniture and a black TV hung fairly low on the wall. I’m sure the remote is either behind the TV or under/in the furniture and it seems it wasn’t searched for very hard. BE SURE TO LEAVE THE TV REMOTE IN THE CIRCULAR WOODEN CONTAINER ON THE GLASS COFFEE TABLE WHEN YOU LEAVE!! Maybe you’ll find the “lost” remote and we’ll be refunded.
- Caterina (9/5): Superb -
- Isabell (8/5): Great location nice and clean but be aware the stairs are on a very steep incline … don’t know how they are legal .. mak - Bathroom and kitchen nice The stairs ! And no bathroom upstairs with such a steep staircase and the aircon doesn’t really work up there
- David (10/5): Highly recommend for families. Having the car soace was very handy if hiring a car, and we would stay again when visitin - Great central location, clean and modern facilities with comfy beds. N/A
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Pamela (8/5): Very good -
- Chee (9/5): Superb -
- Jodie (9/5): A fantastic stay! - It was brand new, well presented, comfortable and great location. Very narrow stairs, but if you take your time and are careful, this isn’t a big problem. One bedroom downstairs for those who can’t manage the stairs.
- Alyce (10/5): Exceptional - Very central to Hobart City. Easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping.
Very clean and all necessities provided. Everything was great. The stairs are a bit scary. There were a few sober trips done on our hands and knees.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were extra steep. This could be an issue for guests with mobility issues.
- Edwin (10/5): A great stay - Good location, had parking All good
- Sharan (10/5): Exceptional - Loved it from the moment we saw it. Beautiful 1890s building , 2024 interior. Everything we could want available. Hot water , thick soft towels , comfortable beds. Access to city. No problem with interior stairs to upper bedrooms but they are steep and difficult for elderly. Otherwise they are part of the character of the place.
- Justin (10/5): Great location with everything supplied to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. - Great location, easy to communicate with the owners. Only negative was the steep stairs which can’t be avoided.
- Faith (9/5): Really amazing place. Very convenient location. Julie was fantastic! - Place was very clean and tidy. Amazing location, super close to everything. Julie was exceptional and communicated super well with us. Would definitely stay again! The heating within the place was very inconsistent. The upstairs room with the 2 beds felt like a sauna, the master bedroom next to it had little to no heating so it was quite cold, and the downstairs bedroom was somewhat in between. The upstairs bedrooms floors were also very squeaky and could hear it from downstairs. We were also only given 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 people for a week meaning we had to go buy more.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Belinda (10/5): Great stay. Lively and clean and easy walking to everything Hobart has to offer. - Location. Clean. Good furniture and beds. Good tv with wifi. The stairs are very steep.
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional - Great location to city, clean and modern property with all amenities required for a comfortable stay.
- Sue (8/5): Brisbane Terrace was very clean, modern and comfortable. We wnjoyed our stay. - It was very new, modern, clean, well supplied and equipped. Had the weather been warmer, we would have enjoyed the back deck as well. The stairs to the bedrooms bordered on hazardous, especially since the only bathroom was downstairs. It would not be suitable for children or people with even minor mobility issues. While a lovely house, this point should be made clearer in the property description.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - The property was beautifully presented, clean, tidy, perfectly comfortable beds, well equipped spacious bathroom. Location is ideal for walking to city and harbour attractions. Quiet but central location. Can't say there is anything I didn't like, however the stairs to the two upstairs bedrooms would be challenging for someone with mobility issues, but this is addressed with the downstairs queen size bedroom.
I would be happy to return to the property for another stay.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - A great location and everything else was fabulous Stairs to bedrooms upstairs were not easy. We had to leave luggage downstairs which reduced the living space.
- Mitch (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beverley (9/5): After a day out was a lovely place to come back to and relax in comfort - Clean and modern, quiet location, easy walking distance to tourist attractions The stairs, lack of mirror upstairs
- Natasha (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Brisbane Terrace. It had everything we needed for our weekend away.
My only dislike was the stairs. My room was upstairs and with no upstairs bathroom, it meant having to go downstairs for the share bathroom. The stairs were incredibly steep and i did not enjoy having to climb them every time i wanted to go up to my room.
The property was very well set up other than that, providing all that we required for our stay. Very neat and clean and nice and close to the city.
- Jianxin (2/5): Not satisfied as expensive cleaning fee. - Facilities are ok. There is an extra cleaning fee, but from booking.com website, it doesn’t show that. I asked them why and the answer was they cannot alter the info on the website.
- Claire (7/5): Good - It was a nice location and pretty frontage. This was built oddly, things are all slightly "off" but functional. Do not drink and attempt those stairs.
- Michael (9/5): Great Hobart CBD terrace - Lovely renovated terrace on the edge of the Hobart CBD.
Lots of natural light.
Great central heating and cooling
1 bedroom down stairs .. 2 upstairs When they day the stairs are steep to the 1st floor they aren't joking.. but.. they are navagatable. Use the rail and great anti slip strip's...
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annette (10/5): Great apartment close to the city - Great apartment for us 3 friends to share. Had everything we needed and a short 20 minute stroll into the city. Kitchen was great and the beds super comfy. The stairs are challenging especially with a suitcase. Not so much of a problem if you are sleeping in the bedroom downstairs next the bathroom. Floors upstairs squeak a lot!!
- Raj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thu (10/5): Cosy modern terrace with a great location - Property was modern was clean. Location was great! The stairs!! They were quite steep. Lucky we didn’t have kids.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy, perfect location. Everything we needed. Only thing was no secure place for our motorbikes. But we made do.
- Anonymous (8/5): Loved it. Have recommended to others already and would stay again. - Great location, very clean and modern. The stairs are quite steep so with young children it would have been good to have a baby gate available at both ends of the stairs but we managed and it wasn’t a major issue, just a small suggestion
- Fiona (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- F (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (8/5): Great stay, really lovely friendly staff and communication was perfect, very clean, quiet and tidy - Great property and fully functional facilities, washer, dryer and kitchen facilities. The very steep stairs, I have a bad back and really struggled. You could not have anyone elderly staying upstairs.
- Daniel (8/5): Good spot, great location - The stairs were very steep.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there are some issues that need addressing - Very clean. Great location. Available parking Only one bathroom/toilet for a property accommodating 6 people. Upstairs area only accessible by a very steep staircase which presents some danger especially with large suitcases and for elderly people and young children. Bathroom fan not very effective and therefore mirrors (only ones in property unless you use the splash back in kitchen) steamed up. Creates a problem for putting on makeup.
- Rachel (10/5): Would stay again - Wonderful property. Clean and well stocked. Owners were prompt to respond to messages. I would definitely stay here again.
- Tanya (9/5): Superb - Such a beautiful renovation of an old terrace. The beds were comfy and warm, the bathroom was amazing with the double shower! We absolutely loved the kitchen with everything you need. The location was great - quiet enough to sleep well yet so close to Hobart shops etc. We were impressed with this accomm, felt safe and comfortable. The stairs to the top level were very steep! The heater was very loud in the upstairs bedroom with the single beds.
- Yolanda (9/5): Great location very quiet, short stroll to shops ect. It was exceptionally clean, wifi excellent Carpark in front So muc - The property was exceptionally clean and in a great location Only a 5 - 10 minute walk into Hobart CBD If your willing to go in the opposite direction up the Hill, You’ll find a bottle shop & a Great corner store I noticed within the property Attention to detail with extras like blankets, pillows Coffee maker and Coffee, Milk in fridge Shampoo ect, Very welcoming. The stairs Very tight and the floor boards are slippery.
- Linda (9/5): Location, location, location. - It was so central to everything. The steep stairs, however, this was declared upfront on the website when I booked.
