• Jiuzhen (9/5): Amazing stay, especially for young travellers! - I honestly really enjoyed my stay at Rambla at Solarino House. At first, I was a little worried because I had read reviews saying the digital key and check-in process could be difficult, but for me it was extremely easy and smooth. As a young person, the whole process felt very natural and convenient. I understood everything straight away, and having one digital key for all access made the stay feel simple and modern. It might be a bit challenging for older guests who are not used to technology, but for young travellers, it is honestly super easy. The whole place reminded me of my old student accommodation days at Iglu and Scape, but in a much nicer, more private and comfortable way. There is no traditional reception, which I actually liked because it made the stay feel independent, peaceful and private, but I could still message or call staff if needed. I also requested early check-in and was very happy that it was approved. I asked for 11 am, and although the official check-in was later, I was able to get in around 12 pm, which was a huge bonus. The apartment had everything I needed. The kitchen was well-equipped, everything worked properly, the air conditioning was excellent and kept the place very warm, and the shower had great water pressure. The smart TVs were also a big highlight, with one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Being able to AirPlay and stream Netflix or other platforms at night made the stay feel really comfortable and relaxing. The balcony was huge and made the apartment feel even more open. I also loved the small details, especially the friendly sticker notes around the apartment explaining where everything was and how to use things. Some of the notes even had funny jokes, which made the place feel wholesome, thoughtful and welcoming. The location is also excellent, right next to the train station, which made it very convenient to get into the city and other areas. The main issue was that I did not receive any housekeeping, towel service or bed service during my stay, even though the app/website said daily room service or towel service was available. I stayed for two nights and had to use the same towels on the second day. It was not a huge problem for me because I was clean when I used them, but for a longer stay this could become inconvenient, especially if guests need fresh towels, more body wash or general cleaning. What made it a bit confusing was that I saw the housekeeping staff cleaning the room next to mine, but my room was skipped, and I did not have a “do not disturb” sign outside. Another small issue is that the apartment is advertised as 66m², but once I arrived, it felt like a large part of that space came from the balcony. The actual indoor area was still very nice, but not as large as I expected. There were also a few design details that could be more convenient. The toilet paper holder was in a tight spot, so reaching for it felt a bit uncomfortable, and the flush button was behind the toilet seat, so I had to move the seat every time I flushed. It is not a major problem, just a small design inconvenience. The rubbish room was also a little uncomfortable to access because it is located in the basement car park area. My girlfriend found it a bit scary to walk there, and with cars around, it did not feel like the safest or most convenient route. A shorter or clearer access path would make this better. The other main downside is that there is no luggage storage service after check-out, so I had to pay around $15 somewhere else just to store my luggage. That was a bit inconvenient. Overall though, I still really enjoyed the stay and would happily give it 9/10. The positives were much stronger than the negatives, and I would definitely come back.

• Jamie (9/5): Beautiful little home away from home - We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, it was lovely. Close to public transport and within lots of little local shops. We had everything we needed in the unit for our 8 day stay, washing machine, dryer, kitchenette, cosy living area and two bathrooms. The master bedroom door didn’t close because the bed was in the way and the mattresses were on the firm side but everything else was perfect.

• Tom (6/5): Good for maximum a weekend. - The neighbourhood which had a distinct edge and offered good food, coffee, art and music. No dining table, limited pots and pans, no scissors/can-opener/hooks in bathroom, bedroom window that does not open for fresh air. A fire-alarm too close to the cooking area. It limited our ability to cook at home. It was activated once when I added red wine to the dish and the steam triggered the alarm. It was loud, it was terrifying to know that if it lasted 2-minutes or more it would result in a $1,400 fine. Not a nice feeling! Overall it has potential, it is just poorly equipped and has no homely feeling desired for a long stay.

• Sara (4/5): Would never stay again despite the actual room being fine because the process was so stressful It did boot feel like a h - Great location, quiet and self contained The booking process was awful and stressful, their were no staff for face to face communication and there were multiple stressful stuff-ups during my stay. It felt like school camp and I found the staff patronising. Absent when needed yet over the top and tactless when not needed.

• cath (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - The place was lovely , clean and fresh, everything you needed , shower gels, shampoo, herbal tea bags which were amazing I loved them all and some milk in the fridge to start you off. Totally remote check in and pre check in / check out messages which were all brilliant, digital key was great no searching around for your key in your bag !! Right next to the ANSTEY train station which was quiet and also frequent enough and couldn’t be heard in the apartment, and if you walked out and went right your a few minutes walk from all the trams down Sidney ROAD… GREAT PLACE along with SUPERB REMOTE STAFF THAT REPLIED PROMPTLY IF I MESSAGED THEM. THANK YOU Just would’ve liked a full length mirror , any many options to have one in the apartment ..

• Hamnett (8/5): Comfortable well-located apartment in Melbourne's northern suburbs - Location convenient for Anstey rail station. Apartment well-equipped. Food options on Sydney Road and frequent trams to the City. Staff were easy to reach by phone and helpful in dealing with access and other queries. Access was a bit inconvenient. The digital key provided didn't work well, nor did the App (Salto KS) that I was required to download. As a result we needed to enter three passcodes every time we wanted to access the room - one for the street, one for the lift and one for the room. Presumably security is a significant concern in this area. There was also a long string of emails from the property managers, starting with a request for a photo of my driving licence soon after booking. While communication is a good thing, the total number of emails received - well over 10 for a 2 night stay - is probably excessive. Payment could also be simplified - I needed to make three separate bank transfers for the room, the car park and the security bond.

• Carol (9/5): Comfortable place to stay - The location was good for us. It was close to the train and good restaurants. The apartment was comfortable with a small kitchen and very good bathroom. It would be suitable for people with mobility aids as the doorways were quite wide and shower was walk in. There was a lot of noise on Friday and Saturday nights but it stopped by 11 pm and didn’t bother us. We used an app to enter the building and room. It worked for us but there was an update issue and some people couldn’t get into the building. However, we were informed about it.
• Glover (10/5): I will definitely return and I would recommend this property to anyone visiting. It’s perfectly located and close to man - The apartment was excellent so comfortable and very clean . The location was perfect beside train and short walk to the tram. I was visiting my daughter and the property was only a short walk away. There also a fabulous restaurant on site, the food was amazing.
• Michelle (8/5): Good location, modern building. - Location was great - plenty of brunch spots, and nightlife. Rooms were spacious and modern. The provisions in the kitchen were handy (i.e. utensils, crockery, tea selection, milk). Whilst staff made every effort, the accommodation isn't able to support early check-in / storage of bags. If travelling with luggage again, this would prevent me from booking as I needed more flexibility.

We have stayed at the Rambla three times and every time there is a big hassle to get into the building. I have booked 15 different motels in the last three weeks and the check in process in each of them was very easy unlike at the Rambla.

• Zoya (7/5): Modern, clean apartment in great location. - Great location amongst various bars, cafes and restaurant. Train and tram virtually at your door. Modern, Clean and spacious apartment. The bed was very hard. The bedroom was very noisy from the restaurant below. Not only voices and music but also what sounded like the kitchen exhaust fan which ran until 11:30pm. After that very quiet. But not great for early nights rest. Digital key didn’t work on the apartment door only the PIN code.

The car park was enclosed which was great but it was rather tight, I know this can’t be helped but just to keep in mind if you drive a bigger car. The only other thing we didn’t like was the mattress on the bed, it was so hard and made it uncomfortable to sleep.

• Irene (8/5): A great place to stay in Brunswick! - The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Entry was easy with detailed instructions. You don't have to worry about losing the key! I really like the building and the area is really convenient. There is great soundproofing once you close the doors. You can hear music from downstairs, but they seemed to always finish around 10. I will definitely stay again! I would've liked a little coffee machine.

• linda (9/5): Clean, spacious apartment in cool area of Melbourne - Location in cool Brunswick, cleanliness, spacious balcony and everything you need. Comfy bed and helpful staff The automatic ID. checking and other requirements which despite having paid in full did not go smoothly and resulted in much stress for me as I was worried at one point I wouldn't have somewhere to stay upon arrival. This is not the staff's fault but rather is pre-checks system which needs amending. I marked the review down a point due to the stress called. The staff did do everything to resolve this however and it was all ok in the end

• Rachel (10/5): Exceptionally clean, immaculate apartment with easy instructions to enter. - Our apartment was very clean, spacious with all the utensils needed in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. Location was perfect for us as the property is close to family. I wasn’t sure when the cleaners were coming but that could have been me not checking properly. The tv had very limited channels but you could connect it to your Netflix account etc but u don’t like doing that as I’ve had issues before elsewhere where it caused an issue for me. Also I prefer air con in the bedrooms rather than ceiling fans, especially when it’s over 40!

Really clean and modern, well kept - will come back! Amazing rooftop Some apartments face the street (better in my opinion) and some face the back - we were overlooked by other apartments in the complex - but pulling down a blind solved that!

Good location, close to Brunswick Main Street and the train station. Very good value for money. The windows were not sound proof and the noise of the train crossing was loud, kept us awake at night and woke us up very early in the morning. The shower could have been cleaner, drain was a bit smelly. The agency also did not send me the check in instructions and I had to chase when I arrived.

• Sandra (9/5): A spacious, modern apartment in a fantastic location, and I would happily stay here again. - I loved the location. It was very convenient for groceries, with a train station just a few steps away and only a short walk to the tram. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and lots of interesting shopping in the area. It was also very easy to get into the city. The MYKI card vending machine at the train station made it simple to buy and top up travel cards. The apartment itself was very spacious and well laid out, with a separate bedroom and lounge, a good-sized bathroom, a small study area, and a decent kitchen. There was plenty of cupboard space, a balcony, and everything felt new and fresh. There is a very high penalty for accidentally setting off the smoke alarm, which made me nervous about using the stove. I preferred to use the microwave, but there were no microwave-safe cooking utensils supplied, so it would be helpful if these were provided. The TV required connection through Chromecast and did not seem to be compatible with our iPhone, so we were unable to use it. The door access app was also a little unresponsive at times. I later discovered this worked better when I removed my phone from its case. This was not a major issue because there was also a passcode entry option, which was convenient.

• Tropicalyn (9/5): Great place in Brunswick - Really liked the location, the spacious apartment, balcony, washer/dryer and well equipped kitchen. The portal system made communication a bit tricky at times. Retrieving information required texting and phone calls. However, staff did respond promptly. We didn't get entry information by checkin time (2pm) although it was sorted by 2:45. Access to the rubbish room requires a fob key which we didn't have, only a pin code. Despite these issues we really enjoyed the apartment.

Good location just off Sydney Road No daily housekeeping, even though the listing on Booking.com and their actual concierge website says that they have housekeeping. It was a surprise when they informed me, during my stay, that it's not included. Also, there is no front desk or on site staff, though they were responsive via text message.

Struggled to find and access garbage disposal area and it would have been useful to have some sponges or cloths to wipe down kitchen benches.

• W&TFox (10/5): Excellent location Great Comfy Place to stay - Good location can catch the tram at the end of road to the city. Clean and comfortable. Had everything needed for our stay. I found the bed comfortable. Check in was easy and down loaded an app to unlock the doors. It was quiet at night. Found it hard to find the bin storage for rubbish not very clear signs.

The digital check in was a little frustrating. I prefer human interaction. No recycling option in the rooms. The rooms were a bit dull and boring. Nothing inspiring about them.
