Guest Reviews
- Robert (7/5): Great location and I love the hotel, the price was high but not compared to today’s costs in surfers - There wasn’t any breakfast Room could definitely had a better clean
- Helen (7/5): - Great location and amenities in the resort The air con wasn’t working
The second door of the bedroom wouldn’t close properly
Wasn’t that clean
- Joanne (7/5): - The facilities, the location Room need cleaning. Hair on bathroom floor. Dirt on top of fridge. Dishes left in dishwasher. No spare rubbish bags
- Hany (6/5): Value for money, but noisy and lacks some customer service - Location
Parking
Price Communication was poor
Noisy early in the morning
Service was mediocre at best
- carmelina (1/5): DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY, FILTHY, HORRIBLE APARTMENT RECOMMEND TO NO ONE - During my recent stay, I experienced several significant issues that fell well below acceptable service and accommodation standards.
Upon arrival, I did not receive the welcome package that is typically provided. When I enquired, I was simply told it had been forgotten. I was also directed to collect the keys from Condor, only to be given incorrect information, which added unnecessary inconvenience to the check‑in process.
The condition of the apartment itself was extremely disappointing. After inspecting the room, it was immediately clear that it had not been cleaned prior to my arrival. The toilet was visibly dirty and had clearly been used without being flushed. Although I contacted staff and was assured someone would attend, no one ever arrived.
Several maintenance and cleanliness issues were also apparent, including:
A section of the wall missing
Ceiling fans coated in what appeared to be years of accumulated dust
A severely worn and peeling toilet seat
Dirty, stained carpet with ants crawling throughout
A couch that was heavily worn and visibly unclean
Kitchen utensils that were oily, dirty, and unusable, including an oven pan in unacceptable condition
These issues created an environment that was uncomfortable and unhygienic. Despite having stayed at the Chevron multiple times over the past 20 years, this was by far the most poorly maintained and unclean apartment I have encountered. It was not suitable for adults—let alone families with children.
I have photographic evidence of all concerns and would be willing to provide it upon request. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this apartment to future guests. - Deborah (9/5): -
- Joahua (1/5): -
- roostai (1/5): - Self contained accommodation. Very dirty.
Less appliances.
Insects and dust everywhere.
Contacted the manager>>>> nothing happened. Dirt.
Dust.
Cucroch and insects.
Dirty kitchen.
- Nick (1/5): being away from the apartment was enjoyable but the apartment was unacceptable. - The stay away from the accommodation was exceptional as we enjoyed all our planned activities. As soon as we arrived we noted the apartment was not clean. I spent my first day cleaning the apartment and had to also purchase all my own products along with toilet paper and this was not even included, we were given a toilet role that finished after two uses.
No mattress protectors were used on any of the beds and the double mattress had holes in it where springs stuck out and scratched my daughters leg.
We informed the manager via email, requesting a room change however he never responded to my correspondence.
- Kelly (3/5): Wouldn’t stay again. Dirty, old mattress and loud street noise - Location was good. And cheap but not value for money It was dirty, mattress falling apart with spring extruding, shower head held together with duct tape, a lot of street noise with doors closed.
- Nico (2/5): - Our stay at this apartment was extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable. Lights didn’t work in two rooms, the TV didn’t work, and there were no fire alarms whatsoever, which is a serious safety issue. We found leftover two-minute noodles in the kitchen from the previous occupant, and there were stains on the actual bedding sheets we were expected to sleep in. The window sills were covered in dust, there were scratches on the walls, and stains were everywhere — on the sheets, curtains, carpet and even the mattress. This property should not even have a one-star rating. When we called the property manager in regards to all of this , we were told it was a “twenty-year-old apartment, what do you expect,” and they clearly did not care about the condition. Top dollar was requested but apparently this is acceptable. We requested a refund, and they believe less than a quarter of the payment is acceptable compensation for these absolutely disgusting conditions. We have ciontacted wotif directly and are awaiting a response. We have videos, photos and recordings of all of this. I would not recommend any one to stay here. very disappointed with wotif as I did not think that this would be acceptable to them
- Beaujeu (5/5): - Pas grand chose L emplacement bruyant
Etc.............
- JOHN (4/5): not good - room needs an update
- Sarah (7/5): - Location was excellent. Pool was beautiful. Views were outstanding. Very easy to access public transport. Rooms had an extremely unpleasant odour and had to spend quite a bit of money on cleaning products to cover up the smell. There wasn't a pull out sofa as advertised in one of the rooms only a fold up single bed which was broken and couldn't be used so had to sleep on the couch the whole stay. The roof leaked in another room and it wasn't very clean. There was one area that we cleaned the carpet and this disgusting yellow substance was coming out like urine.
- Lucy (1/5): do not stay with condor apartments - location was great, resort itself has an amazing lagoon pool and i will stay here again but NEVER with Condor apartments everything in the apartment was either broken or filthy. 3 broken dining chairs being held together by tape so a family of 4 couldnt eat at the table. The 'SOFA BED' was so old and worn you were sitting on the frame. Shower and hose leaked and was held together by tape so the water all leaked out the hose before making it to the shower head. Ironing board without a cover so just a metal useless frame, the bathroom tap leaked so all the vinyl on the cupboard was all peeling away, toilet roll holder had fallen off and stuffed in a drawer, spare large curtain rod just laying on the ground in the lounge room, 2 blankets supplied for 4 guests (double bed, two singles and a pull out couch). There was food left on the balcony as it wasn't clean from the last guest. The place is in need of a DEEP clean, dust, dirt and grime on every surface. The washing machine was so old it didn't spin the clothes properly so everything was wet through - it also sounded like it was a rocket taking off as it was so old and broken. dishwasher had been kicked in by a previous guest by the looks of it, the vent in the kitchen where you were meant to cook food was covered in dust and really disgusting. I have stayed in nicer hostels for a fraction of the price. My in laws stayed with a different agent in another apartment and that was clean and beautifully finished for the same price
- Jay (1/5): -
- Diane (2/5): Not at all a suitable apartment to rent out - Great location Desperately in need of repairs - not just maintenance. Many faults and broken accessories including laundry door, toilet roll holder cupboards, lights, tiles, sinks that won’t drain, water leaking from the ceiling. It smelled like the carpet had been wet and somewhat moldy. The bathroom light switch actually sparked if turned on/off.
- tammy (10/5): Great get away - Room was in a great location and it was clean and comfortable
- Jessica (7/5): -
- Michelle (1/5): Not up to standard - Location It was dirty and mattress had a spring sticking out and lounge was dirty air conditioning wasn’t working
- Richard (4/5): Location great, room not so much. - Location is great, pool is awesome, included carpark is very handy. The room looks like it hasn't had money spent on it in a long time, light fittings missing light bulbs, the couch cushions are worn out, the washing machine sounds like it is possessed by demons and the drum is trying to escape the machine, it's so bad after 2 days we refused to use it anymore. Turned the TV on for the first time on day 4 and found out it's broken. One of the sliding doors to the balcony when you close it closes at the top, but there is a two centimeter gap at the bottom. Even the simple things we booked for 4 people, they provided 3 towels. Communication is terrible/ non-existent. You have to pick up the key from another apartment complex. The room is right next to the floors garbage chute. After a day out and coming back, you need to air out the room as it smells.
- Asoai (10/5): - Love the location None
- Scott (1/5): Worst place I have ever stayed - Only good thing was the location for my partner to be able to see her Daughter who was staying at Q1 You may want to consider finding new cleaners to look after the cleaning of the apartment. It was filthy when we arrived. Smear marks over the windows and tv, blood smear marks above the main bedroom door, tables in lounge area dirty and sticky, smear marks on wall in bathroom, food leftovers in between the couch cushions and under and behind tv unit, female sanitary products found all throughout the apartment on the floor and behind tv cabinet, entire carpet area felt damp and mouldy to walk on for the entire time here which is probably the cause of a dirty stale smell throughout the entire apartment which also caused my partner to feel sick from the overpowering smell, light cover in kitchen missing screw to secure it which resulted in the cover falling onto my head, internet was almost non existent would work for 30 min from time to time and fire alarm was removed prior to our arrival and was/is sitting on table on the balcony. Balcony Sliding door in main bedroom does not lock properly as when it is locked the entire door still slides open, balcony door in lounge self locked itself while I was on the balcony and bathroom door handle about to fall off.Not very happy after paying nearly $1000 for the weekend.
- Renee (2/5): Filthy - Location was ideal Absolutely filthy, doesn’t look like one surface was wiped down, carpets had white stains all over that came off after I vacuumed??? Along with crumbs and other things, balcony tiles were greasy, a glass lighting fixture looked as if it was about to fall out, dishes were dirty and Over all not a good experience, I had my one year old with me and i stated it in booking so completely unacceptable to be so filthy and gross
- Kristy (5/5): Passable -
- Natalie (8/5): Very good - Good location, nice pool.
Free car parking Looks worn in need of a refresh.
Car parking is a maze to get into
- Annette (5/5): Not great would not start again - Great location The lounge was quite dirty, the bathroom light only worked occasionally, beds were not very comfortable and for the over 12hrs on Friday the lifts were not working due to a water incident on the 6th floor.
- Cameron (4/5): - Nice pool and facilities, located in central surfers. Unfortunately the room is very average. Beds and furniture are uncomfortable and need to be updated. There is a fair bit of wear and damage throughout the apartment and the bathroom needs a clean and repair. The apartment would be good for those who don't mind a some wear and tear and going to spend most of their time not in the apartment.
- Rana (1/5): I was cleaning this appointment for 1 hour before I got my things in - Location only Everything it was very very dirty and ants everywhere I will never stay there again
- Soha (9/5): Superb -
- Sonja (9/5): The room it self was great - Location is great. Pool is great too The out door spa jets weren’t working and weren’t fixed for the whole week we were there
- William (5/5): Passable -
- Renee (4/5): Not what you thought you were booking online the pictures did not match. - When I booked online and payed for the property it was completely different when we arrived so the booking did not match what we arrived to. I called the property managers and they didn’t seem to care or want to help. They said they have 4 apartments but we had got one of them. It was no where near what I thought I had booked was very disappointed. The property was not clean when we arrived the couch’s were ripped and old, the furniture very old and the dining table wobbled like it would break, the main bed mattress was on a slope and sunk when sleeping it was the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever had to sleep in and the shower head was so wobbly and broken I thought it would fall out the wall. I took pictures of all of this when we arrived as I didn’t want to be blamed for any damage. The toilet ran the entire time and wouldn’t stop. Also the dryer did not work at all we used the clothes horse instead. The apartment needs huge maintenance and a good clean we were very disappointed on what we thought we had booked and what we got.
- Luck (8/5): Very good - It was a great location, short walk to surfers central, food & supermarkets.
Apartment was well equipped and had a great view.
Came with a private parking space to easily come and go as you please.
- Gemma (6/5): Would stay in the complex again as it’s a great location and great pool area but would not stay in the actual apartment - The indoor and outdoor pool areas were great.
Great having so much to do directly underneath you including the shops/restaurants, pools, spa and little mini arcade. The actual apartment wasn’t overly great. Bathroom fixtures were hanging off including the shower head and soap holder in the shower.
There was no linen left for the 5th person even though we booked for 5.
And when we asked for linen we got 1 sheet and towel. So couldn’t even make the bed properly and had no blanket provided.
No welcome info provided so we had no info on where to take rubbish ect.
Poor communication, email never got a reply when sent regarding faulty things in the apartment.
Garage fob didn’t work when we arrived. Took 2 days to get it swapped for one that worked.
- Kellie (9/5): Superb -
- John (2/5): Poor - For the price we paid it wasn’t up to scratch. Walls full of patches and holes, light fixtures hanging and broken, fold out bed had broken legs and kept dropping to floor. Tried messaging contact and they just palmed me off and told me to call elsewhere. When I asked the actual Conceirge for help with kids fold out bed he said there was nothing he could do because it was privately owned. I booked through booking.com and was unaware it was privately owned so not good Conceirge didn’t want to assist. Where is the duty of care? Noise levels from traffic and below facilities was excessive and not acceptable.
- Catrina (5/5): For the value I can’t really complain however it’s all very outdated and not well kept. - The location and the size. Extremely old furniture, broken and uncomfortable couch. And a terrible smell.
- Tanya (2/5): Disappointed in room but good location. - The property amenities and location was great. It was dirty and I had to call to get it cleaned. Still then it was no good and I cleaned it my self. Old furniture. Uncomfortable beds, main bed mattress was blown out causing you to fall out. Sagging lounge, old broken furniture. Outside balconies were putrid I tried to clean and wash it all. No broom, no dust pan. Vacuum over heats within 5 minutes. Dryer over heats with in minutes. 2nd bedroom beds roll around as they have no breaks, Air conditioner very loud and would stop working. Shower leaks, shower head not secure,
- Talina (2/5): - The apartment we stayed in was not great, the A/C was leaking a lot of water had to turn it off as it was wreaking the paint brought fans until someone came out to fix it, one side of the lounge is broken, my partner stood on glass that was in the carpet and there were no face washers given to us so we had to buy our own face washers as well.
- Brett (3/5): Not worth the money - Location Our overall experience was disappointing to say the least.
we booked for 5 people and the foldaway bed was broken and we had to sleep 1 person on a mattress on the floor
The bathroom sink was blocked with hair etc and wouldn't drain water ( see attached)
There was an unused SYRINGE in the main bedroom (WTF we had children with us)
1 roll of toilet paper for 5 people for 4 days
- Matthew (6/5): Pleasant - location close to beach, pool was good for kids only one pool open at our time of stay. booked for 5 people and had 1 double and 2 singles was told when arrived it would cost extra for another when they could have told us this earlier before arriving. bedroom was different from pictures on booking.com.
small things to make comfortable when traveling from overseas we're missing
no bath mat for shower as leaks, one small soap for 5 people for 7days. washing machine powder was soaking wet and box falling apart. no scissor or cheese greater, pegs or washing basket.other than this was ok
- Kirri-lee (4/5): Not worth the money! This place needs a serious fix up and new cleaning staff. - The location was the best part about the property. The pool was nice but very over crowded for it to be shared amongst so many towers The room was filthy. Cockroaches in the second room wardrobe, black ring around bath tub from
Not being cleaned properly, holes in walls around door frames, heaps of dirt and built up grime around the washing machine and behind it from not being cleaned properly. Glass light cover in kitchen not put up properly and just sitting there on an angle. Tried to vacuum the room when leaving and couldn’t turn vacuum off had to unplug from the wall to turn it off.. one toilet roll for a 7 night stay. One towel each person as well.. internet didn’t work properly in the room so slow and bad reception. The list could go on and on
- Melissa (2/5): I will not be staying at this property again - Location The apartment was not nice at all the curtains didn’t shut properly, holes in the wall, doors were really hard to open, no clothes rack to dry wet clothes, smelt really bad, mould on the apartment my son and husband are allergic to mould
- Nur (7/5): Good - So close to all The pick up key is different place . When we enter the appartment the room so dusty it not vacuum very well. And the vacuum is not well function . So sorry we very particular with this because our baby have asthma .
- Reriana (1/5): Definitely needs to be renovated and cleaned to high standards before next family or couple decided to stay here. - Stayed multiple times at the chevron , however this time round it was unpleasant and disappointing.
Room 2071 Curtains were off the rails , Cockroaches , Stained Blankets , Aircon had something faulty , Dryer wasn’t drying any clothing but left a foul smell. Toilet had a constant running water sound.
Awaiting response from management team regarding the stay.
- Kylie (8/5): Was a pleasant stay. Great location close to everything. Unit clean and well maintained - The location and the accommodation N/a
- Carly (5/5): Passable - The location of the property is great and so is the indoor and outdoor pool but our room was horrible. It was incredibly dirty , broken shower head. Just all over filthy. Would not stay here again
- Stella (10/5): Location, Pool Area & Shops downstairs - definitely would stay again! - Location is toptier, pool area is fantastic & shops are just down stairs. Highly would recommend! I wish it was abit clean but didn’t ruin the trip to GC one bit
- Katie (2/5): Do not recommend. Better places to stay in the same location with a host that might actually msg/call/email you - The location is only a 300m walk to the beachfront and is close to the shops/nightlife etc. The property was filthy. The only blankets they provided were covered in stains and they did not reply to any correspondence. We had young children with us who didn’t have any clean bedding for the 3 nights. The curtains were all off their racks, the hairdryer and washing dryer weren’t in working order. Stains all over the carpets.
- Chandaroeung (9/5): Superb -
- Tracey (9/5): Superb -
- Amit (1/5): Disappointed - Very bad experience, rude host. Everything
- Diane (6/5): Great location but needs a revamp. Crockery very Covid friendly. - Location Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Cleanliness fair. Crockery old and chipped. Bathroom vanity peeling and basin mouldy. Needs exhaust fan. Bedroom sliding door comes off track and broken draw ( bottom) front door needs attention as circular disc keeps falling off.
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - Great location. Large rooms. Comfy beds
- French (4/5): Was ok but the room definitely needs upgrades - Good location and view was ok Had cockroaches and ants. Apartment is in need of renovation especially the bathroom. I’m now in the same building through a different company and the apartment is much much nicer in condition and cleanliness.
- Summer (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (8/5): - The property overall is great and we had a great time. We have a few things that need a mention unfortunately, the lock on the main balcony is busted, the stove top needs fixing as it turns on and off several times during cooking, need a soap holder in bathroom and the kitchen plates, utensils, pots and pans were quite dirty so we washed what we needed and just used them.
Overall we really liked it and would stay again for sure.
- Amanda (1/5): Bad - There was construction work infront of the box with the keys. It had poor lighting and difficult to access. We also could not find the building, the instructions were not clear in the email. Reference was made to ‘Tower three’ but it did not specify that this is in the Mantra building and we spent over 1 hour late at night looking for the building. There is no out of hours security to provide assistance. I left multiple voicemail for Condor Apartments to return my call and they never did. We also had no duvets on our beds and it’s the middle of Winter. Again no response from Condor on this. I have sent several emails about my security deposit and no reply. I would never stay here again. Shocking customer service As above
- Rosalyn (9/5): Superb -
- David (6/5): Average - Location Needs a lot of repair work
- Troy (7/5): Good -
- Little (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Oliver (10/5): Will stay again at same place 100 % - Everything about the place great location
