• Max (6/5): We stayed as a family with a 10 month old baby for 3 nights. - Central location, friendly and helpful staff, free coffee and water in lobby. Great restaurants nearby. Rooms located on direction of the street are really noisy. Couldn’t sleep without earplugs. Floor in room was quite dirty, no free breakfast. Bad value for money. Don’t understand the high rating of this hotel.

• Vahidah (9/5): Pas du luxe mais très agréable pour 3 ou 4 nuits. - L’accueil du personnel, l’emplacement, le linge propre, les boissons à dispo dans le lobby et dans le mini bar. La douche était bien, nous pouvions poser nos produits. L’ascenseur qui ne va pas jusqu’au 6, les fenêtres sont floutées, les volets ne cachaient pas toute la lumière, les poubelles un peu petites mais nous chipotons car la chambre et le service étaient incroyables.

(Lessive gratuite, eau et coca frais gratuit, wifi portable pour la journée,…) Le personnel était très aimable et à l’écoute, la chambre était propre. Nous séjournions dans la chambre au 2eme étage la fenêtre donnait sur une ruelle qui ne laissait pas entrer de lumière ceux qui rendait la chambre un peu sombre durant la journée.

• Sam (7/5): Good location and polite staff but painfully uncomfortable, outdated and smelling - Polite staff, respectful, helpful Laundry service was a great addition - clean clothes retuned same day Location is really good and wasn’t too loud at night (sometimes neighbours would be retching and vomiting at night which wasn’t the best though but the hotel can’t control that). The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable so much so that it hurt my ribs and hips if sleeping on my front or sides. Of course, mattresses are subjective, and this seems to be a Vietnamese trait, but I am in another hotel now that is really soft yet firm and is like sleeping on a feather! For the price, breakfast should be included. It is a small, outdated hotel – if that – with furniture that was stained / marked, and the worst part was also the drains in the shower and bathroom which were absolutely revolting whereby every night I had a rotten smell permeating my room. The Air Conditioner also was so super loud that I couldn’t sleep at night. Again, lovely staff and really polite!! But, you can get much better quality and a good night’s sleep for less money elsewhere, even in District 1

• Leah (5/5): - Staff are very kind, responsive, and rooms clean. Great location. It is a very basic hotel, more like a guesthouse but without a kitchen. If you get a room with a window it’s extremely loud. Not the staff’s fault of course, but the street noise is the loudest I’ve ever heard in a hotel, and you can hear every door close, creak, etc from other guests. I was surprised because based on all the reviews, I didn’t expect it to be so loud or quite so barebones.

• Klaudia (8/5): Mimo drobnych minusów uważam, że jest to miejsce godne polecenia, szczególnie jak na standardy HCM - Jak na wietnamskie warunki był to dobry hotel. Nie jest to luksusowy obiekt – meble są już trochę stare i widać na nich upływ czasu – ale mimo to pokój jest czysty i miło się w nim przebywa. Na duży plus zasługuje bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa. Fajnym udogodnieniem jest też możliwość zrobienia prania za darmo. W holu na dole przez cały czas dostępna jest darmowa herbata, kawa i woda, co jest bardzo przyjemnym dodatkiem. Jeśli chodzi o minusy – miałam pokój na szóstym piętrze i było słychać dość wyraźny hałas, prawdopodobnie z klimatyzacji lub innego urządzenia. Dla mnie materac był też trochę za twardy, ale to oczywiście bardzo subiektywna kwestia.

Nur frühstück auf dem Zimmer und leider nur einen sehr kleinen Tisch dafür, daher haben wir immer in einem anderen Restaurant an der Straße gefrühstückt.

Duży plus i świetny pomysł to darmowe pranie! Obsługa bardzo miła i gościnna. W pokojach skierowanych oknem na główną ulicę od rana gwar miasta może nie wszystkim odpowiadać, dla nas nie było to problemem a nawet traktowaliśmy to jako swojego rodzaju atrakcje.

• Arran (9/5): A friendly well set up hotel - The lantern hotel staff were incredibly friendly, even making a little birthday card for my partner. They were pleasant and warm, welcoming us in and helping us with storing luggage for the day. There was a complimentary mini bar, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom, and a complimentary laundry service which we really appreciated after being on the road for a couple of weeks. The location is central, just outside district 1. It’s handy and convenient, but just a bit more of a busy metropolis area so just be street savvy. That said we didn’t have any issues!

• Omitola (10/5): - The staff is one of the best ever, they understand the concept of hospitality. They were there to make you comfortable and have the best experience. The hotel has just been renovated but not perfect and there's still room for improvements but above all,the staff will make you forget all that. Nothing apart from few touches and replacement of sanitary wares.

Beds were Vietnam hard but comfortable. The wifi was unusable, really bad. We loved the free laundry service in theory, but our clothes came back smelling bad one time out of two. The room wasn't as good as it appears on Booking.com, which in common.
