Guest Reviews
- Chanel (9/5): Superb -
- Ha (9/5): Superb -
- Elodie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and spacious apartment, comfortable bed and so handy to have a washing machine! Lovely owner who made it super easy to extend our stay.
Great value for money and within walking distance or a cheap grab away from everything!
- Tessa (9/5): Great stay! - The contact with the owner was super. He will explain everything to you via WhatsApp and if there is a problem he will respond within a minute.
The accommodation is really nice, just like the pictures! It is clean and the cleaning lady will come every day to clean the room. Super!
It is close to the main highlights of Hanoi, walking distance and otherwise you can take a Grab taxi.
They also offer a taxi service from the airport. Which is great because it is quite intense when you arrive in Hanoi airport.
The owner even helped us after our stay so definitely recommend it!
- Mayna (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff which was a message away if needed & prompt in replying. Apartment very good with all amenities & clean. Good value for money. Thankyou
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Large, very clean studio. Good communication before and during the stay. Easy access with gate and room codes sent prior to arrival. Facilities were as listed. Good position to explore Hanoi. Nothing
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Polly (10/5): Above and beyond! Couldn’t ask for any more. - The housekeeper and Cris the manager went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Cris even helped us organise activities but had great partners to book tours.
We were incredibly appreciative and would 100% stay again if we were to visit to Hanoi.
- Vojtěch (4/5): Disappointing - No window from the room, smell of drain in the room, really loud noise from other rooms. Not recommended for light sleepers.
- Jithin (10/5): Great service - Proper communication for travellers especially first timers to Vietnam
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Apartment was great. Quietest place I've stayed in Vietnam. Clean, internet & shower were good
Good communication with owner
Also first place in Vietnam I've stayed where tv works & nefllix actually works as well
Recommended & I would come back to stay here Its a bit out of the way but I was aware of this when I booked & like walking so enjoyed the just over 20 mins to get to old quarter
- Ta (8/5): Very good -
- Robyn (8/5): Great spacious room and good value for money. - The check into the room was easy and the host was always on call via WhatsApp. The kitchen came with utensils and dinnerware (which most rooms don't), the TV was great and there was a washing machine which is handy. There was a lift in the property, so the high floor didn't matter. The bin wasn't emptied from previous guests, but the room was tended to every day whilst we were out during our stay. There was no tea towel to dry washing up.
- Miguel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ruby (5/5): Don’t stay if you’re a light sleeper. Not worth the money - • The cleaner was friendly & helpful.
• Good location to get around. So confused as to why this has such good reviews or maybe we were very unlucky.
• The walls were absolutely paper thin we had 3 nights of horrendous sleep. The locks on the door speak when unlocking, the lift could be heard on every level, there was a wind chime outside constantly, we could even hear next door using the bathroom. Genuinely heard noise until minimum 3am most nights. We have stayed in quieter hostels than this.
• The smell from the drain in the bathroom worsened throughout the trip, by the last day it was so vile we were gagging. The cleaner had tried to cover it but it made the whole room smell
• The washing machine was outside and nowhere to dry clothes so seems pointless.
• Hot water lasted for about 2 minutes every single shower so constantly having cold showers.
- Pablo (9/5): Great value for money. Excellent location. - Excellent location. Great communication with owner. Cleaning done every day. Washing machine a big plus. Quiet street which is to mention in Hanoi. Confortable bed and Netflix. Very good quality vs. price.
- Alan (8/5): Very good - It was very good for me as a solo traveler. The Kitchen was not stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, pots or pans. I had to request everything.
- Knp (2/5): Casa Feliz - A Nightmare Stay with Evidence to Back It Up - The only positive was the availability of clean towels and water downstairs, though there were no instructions to clarify if guests were even allowed to use them. While helpful, this minor convenience does not make up for the rest of the disaster.
The clothes washing machine, kitchen, fridge and hair dryer were functional and there was house keeping.
Despite the issues, the communication from the manger was okay, I was never left waiting for a response
Security at hotel was good, never felt unsafe
Decent location and budget accommodation, but I'd definitely pay more for a better night's sleep at some other accommodation Casa Feliz - A Nightmare Stay with Evidence to Back It Up
I’ve traveled to Vietnam multiple times and had amazing experiences, but Casa Feliz was, by far, the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. While management didn’t seem deliberately malicious, their lack of care, manipulative practices, and inability to resolve issues ruined my stay. Despite my best efforts to compromise, the experience was nothing short of a disaster.
To back up everything I’ve mentioned, I’ve attached photos, videos, and screenshots as evidence. Future travelers deserve to know what they’re getting into.

1. Bathroom: A Health Hazard
The bathroom was utterly disgusting and unfit for use:
Urine was dripping from the ceiling, and I know this because, while sitting on the toilet, a drop fell on my skin. The liquid was yellow, smelled like urine, and was revolting to wash off with the pathetic shower.
The toilet seat didn’t even fit the toilet properly, making it uncomfortable and awkward to use.
Mold covered the ceiling and tiles, adding to the overall unsanitary environment.
The entire bathroom reeked of urine, making it unbearable to use.
---
2. Shower: Barely Functional
The shower was so weak it was essentially useless:
The water pressure was so poor that I resorted to boiling water in a kettle and filling a cooking pot to rinse myself, which was far more effective than the showerhead.
This is unacceptable for any accommodation, especially one listed as "Genius" on Booking.com.
---
3. Manipulative Notification About Double Booking
The handling of the double booking for my original room was outrageous:
I booked the accommodation WELL in advance, but Management informed me of the double booking just 1.5 hours before my flight, giving me no time to make alternative arrangements.
This late notification prevented me from utilizing Booking.com’s “free cancellation” policy, which requires cancellation 24 hours before the stay.
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious studio. Easy check-in and access. Great value for money. Nothing.
- Sirada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): would def recommend - the quiet environment and proximity to attractions
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chi (10/5): I enjoy staying in this accommodation - Great location
The room is clean
Self check-in and check-out
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathurbhashini (5/5): Would not recommend for others as it not a great locality to stay since all tourist attractions are far and hard to navi - The room was spacious. The beds were neat. They had good amenities like fridge, washing machine, oven etc. The host was very rude. We booked a room with balcony. They gave us a room without it and said it’s the same size with wall-size window and that they had given us that room because we were given early check-in. We would have expected them to inform us earlier about this. When we asked about it, they said we accommodated you for early check-in and we can leave if we are not happy. Also one day we noticed the room was left open while we came back from outside. They easily apologised saying the housekeeping had forgotten to close. They also asked us to checkout
- Lenore (10/5): Thouroughly enjoyed my stay like a home away from home would highly reccomend - Local neighbourhood very friendly away from main drag but close enough in a taxi. Spacious clean comfortable room, excellent facilities.
Owner quick to respond to all & everything, extremely helpful. I didn’t find anything at all not to like
- Ngoc (9/5): Superb -
- Conor (10/5): Great value modern rooms with professional staff! - Friendly staff, easy self check in, new and modern rooms!
- Lenore (10/5): Great comfortable long term stay - It was secure very comfortable & clean, staff extremely helpful & had everything in the apartment for a great long stay. Non applicable
- Mohammed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raz (9/5): I enjoyed my stay at Casa Feliz, very likely to return! - Great communication with stuff;
Modern clean design, looks new as in the photos, specious and clean;
Not far from many of the interesting locations for visitors.
- Lenore (10/5): Host communications was quick & extremely helpful went above & beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as - It had everything I needed in a quiet secure location No complaints
- David (10/5): Exceptional - very cozy, hosts were very pleasant to communicate with. The room was awesome. Comfortable bed, AC that works perfectly, and a fullsize fridge with kitchen! Not much, but if I could add one thing, it would be a physical lock on the door. There is an electronic passcode lock, but a physical door lock would be that extra step for peace of mind. Not saying that I felt in danger at any point, I just personally have specific likes for peace of mind.
- Agnieszka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvette (9/5): great value for money - Walking distance to Temple of Literature. Quiet, has netflix, spacious, big fridge, free complimentary bottled water (2 pcs, 350ml) everyday, has washing machine which I love, daily cleaning, old quarter is accessible. There is a check-in guide. Owner and staffs are very accommodating and responsive. Just a suggestion, maybe add one more trash bin closer to the bed. It would be very helpful to include list of recommendations about nearby attractions, restaurants, marts near the accommodation in the check-in guide.
- Leonata (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Excellent value for money - Everything about this property was spot on. Rooms were very clean and look exactly the same as the photos advertised. The staff and the owner were very friendly. Are stay was extremely cheap for what we got. We will definitely be back when returning to Hanoi.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The room has everything one need - a balcony, shower, towels, fresh water daily, AC, fridge, flip-flops
Host was super responsive and handy. The location is perfect - in a small alley (maybe harder to find, but locals will help you and it's kind of adventure). No tourists there, everyone lives in the old quarter, so you don't feel like a moron.
- Hanna (8/5): Very good - Very good cleanliness, very responsive and helpful host Wifi was choppy, there was times I had to hotspot my laptop from my data on my phone
- Rimkevičius (9/5): Superb - Location, cleanliness It is still under the renovation
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay
- Charlotte (10/5): Amazing time! Will stay here again next time I come to Vietnam - It looks exactly the same as the photos. Self check in meant I could arrive at 4am with no issues. I completed the Ha Giang loop then came straight back to this accommodation to relax as the facilities are amazing and it is so clean. 2 bottles of water were left each day when the room was cleaned and there is a fridge/ tv/ washing machine There’s no cleaning products available so you have to either buy your own or leave the dishes out until the cleaner comes
- Marialuisa (10/5): Exceptional - Clean! Everything you need
- Anh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Szymon (10/5): Wonderful stay - The apartment was great, air con was a bliss and perfectly sized for the room. There was a washing machine, smart tv, even a stove, a kettle and some cooking utensils if you feel like making some food yourself. Every day the staff would drop a fresh set of towels, water and could change sheets for you if you wish. We also got accommodated with a very early check in, as our flight was a very early one. Oh, and the lift is an important one to notice as well.
On top of that it's quiet and it's in the most beautiful street you can imagine. Slightly further away from the tourist attractions, but it gives you a feel of taking part in Hanoi life, rather than just passing through its tourist infrastructure.
Will come back for sure. I wish there was a window to the outside instead of glass tiles, but it's a minor thing.
- Leolomba17 (10/5): Best Value for money in a big city ever - Great Apartment in a chill building and area, near literature temple. Everything was super clean and it had everything you need for your vacation.
It's a bit far from Old Quarter, but very close to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; if you like wondering around it's perfect because it gives you the chance to discover the real city and not just the main Tourist Attractions.
I'll recommend this place for sure, and if we're coming back to Hanoi, we'll certainly be staying again at Casa Feliz.
- Samir (9/5): Superb -
- Cao (10/5): Exceptional - Great room and services. Best place to stay in Hanoi tbh.
- Karen (7/5): A week in Hanoi - Towels get changed every day and bottles of water every day. Close to a great coffee place and The Temple of Literature, and a 15 minute walk to the Old quarter. It was quiet compared to other parts of Hanoi. Not many kitchen items, eg no cups, cloths, tea towel, so you can wipe the bench etc.
All photos of the room had a couch and coffee table which there was neither in our room and it would have been nice for we stayed a week there.
There was some type of grit in the cupboard like sand and hair blocked the drain so water was going down slowly until my husband cleaned out the hair to unblock it.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Balázs (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (9/5): Great stay - I stayed at the property for a month. They are the nicest people! The place itself has many pros: washing machine, kitchenette, very comfy bed, Netflix, elevator, cleaning service, it is quiet! The people are so nice!! And very responsive, except one time. One incident happened where I was not provided with the new code of the building and therefore was stuck outside for an hour during the evening (until someone walked in), and the owner didn’t pick up until the next day, which felt unprofessional. yet they apologized tons and offered a hair spa voucher. They also helped booked a taxi for me. The downsides: it is a windowless apartment (I did not when I booked), so it felt a little bit claustrophobic - if you plan on staying inside a lot during the day, maybe this isn’t the place for you. The neighborhood has no grocery stores around and took me a while to figure out where to go (which requires a Grab ride)
- Ben (9/5): Perfect for what we needed! - Clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Perfect for a few rest days to recharge while travelling around northern Vietnam. Nothing bad to report!
- Jana (10/5): Great location and very good value for money. - Just a little outside the Old Quarter, but still near enough to just book a very cheap grabbike. I’d call it the Arts district as it’s just walking distance to the Temple of Literature, Goethe Institute, and the Fine Arts Museum. The property is very new and the staff were so accommodating to all my questions and requests. The light was broken when I first checked in and they quickly changed me to another room even though it was past 9pm. Water was provided everyday and sheets were cleaned too.
- Friederike (6/5): Clean but cold - Clean, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom No heating, so it was freezing cold in February.
There is a washing machine but no drying rack.
No outlet near the sink, so the water boiler has to be plugged in on the floor next to the bathroom.
- Arthur (9/5): Superb -
- Arthur (9/5): Superb -
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional - Great clean private new apartment. Code locks for front and apt door which is great. Short walk to everything
- Kimberley (9/5): Clean apartment that has all you need - There needs to be a manual override to open the door to exit the property.
- Paul (6/5): Good but.... - It was modern with great facilities and the location for us was exactly where we wanted to be. As with many Vietnamese hotels, the bed was hard and gave us both sore backs. A good excuse for a massage though.
- Soujanya (10/5): Nice and comfortable stay - We were looking for a clean and big place and Apartment was very clean and comfortable. We liked it so much. The owner is also very helpful and answers all your queries.worth the money you paid for
- Andrei (8/5): Very good - Everything is clean and like on the photos There was no curtain on the window, it was too bright in mornings
- Marcos (9/5): The staff are very helpful, and responsive, and the modern property is satisfying as well. It’s a great place to stay in - The property is modern, and quiet. It’s location, allows getting around Hanoi, to most parts quite easily It’s tricky to find when you first go there, but once you have, it’s easy from that point onwards
- Pablo (9/5): Nice and clean apartment. I felt cold though - The host was super helpful, which I really appreciated. I appreciated the self-check in although it took me a while to figure it out. I stayed during a colder few nights in Hanoi and the apartment felt cold. The apartment was cold (it was ~15 degrees celsius outside). The host was kind enough to bring me a heater, yet it still felt cold. AC didn't have heating function. You should be ok if it's hot outside though.
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment, super comfy bed, smart TV, nice ktichen area with plates and hob, bathroom and show were great. Host was super nice and great communication via whatsapp Small problem with wifi but was fixed next day by host. Slight smell sometimes in the room but would clear in small amount of time
- Mohamed (9/5): Nice stay - Appart clean with all the necessities
Bed comfortable I couldn’t stay in the dark in the morning because of the window without store
The location is bit far from the old quarter
- Michael (9/5): Love it - It's a very modern and spacious place and you immediately feel at home! Lots of storage and I also liked the location a lot - away from the main road and still very close to the city centre. Also the cleaning was good. I found the noice a bit annoying, the elevator bell, the door locks (you enter a code to unlock the rooms and the keys make a sound and it also talks), so falling a sleep for someone with a light sleep was a little annoying when there's other poeple coming or leaving. Also it's nice to have a washing machine, but the place to dry your clothes is on the roof top and there are no clothes pegs, so if you don't bring them yourself, your clothes will just fly off. Also some basic utensils eg to do the dishes after cooking etc. would be thoughtful. But overall I absolutely loved staying there and these are only small things I wanted to point out!
- Tuan (7/5): Very efficient but not that comfy :( - The self-checkin works and pretty neat. The room is smaller than how it looks like in the picture. The sheet and the blanket aren't very comfortable nor feeling very clean
- Vitalii (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is excellently situated in the heart of Hanoi, offering close proximity to all major attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.
The WiFi provided in the apartment is reliable, ensuring seamless connectivity for guests throughout their stay.
Guests can enjoy the comfort of brand new furniture and a well-equipped kitchen, enhancing the overall experience of their stay.
The convenience of keypad check-in and check-out allows to the guests to arrive and depart with minimal hassle. One downside to note is the absence of a heater in the apartment, which could potentially lead to discomfort during the colder months, particularly in winter.
- Gordie (9/5): Walking distance to every thing - Clean and quiet
- Trần (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jadene (10/5): The best place I’ve stayed for a very good price! - Everything perfect! The manager was so nice and greeted us and showed us to our room. Kindly helped us with any questions and requests we had. The property is super clean and was cleaned every day. I cannot recommend this stay enough it is a 10 by western standards, absolutely perfect! Nothing
- Marcos (9/5): Superb -
- Francy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erine (10/5): Exceptional - Accommodation clean and well equipped
Kitchen and washing machine in the flat
Staff is really nice
- Colman (10/5): Lovely property in a good area. Good facilities, clean & helpful people - Clean, good location, good facilities, helpful people Nothing
- Khôi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lena (8/5): Very good -
- Hamid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yongjae (5/5): Passable -
- Duy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (7/5): Nice big space! - Really nice big space and apartment! Super friendly and helpful staff! There was a permanent strong unpleasant smell coming from the cupboards under the sink, I had to leave aircon on to mask it. It was a loud building in general, lots of noisy neighbours. (I may have just been unlucky those few days) The building opposite had a wind chime which never stopped and was pretty annoying
- John (10/5): Spacious and Comfortable - Located on a side street, this is a nice quiet place. Very close to the Temple of Literature and 10 minutes walk to the old town.
The bed is comfortable and there's a nice sofa too. It's a great space to hang out, really spacious. A bedside table and lamp are all the apartment needs.
- Laith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gwill (8/5): Very good - Very new building. It felt like we were the first ones to stay in our room.
The host was very friendly & helpful and spoke excellent English.
Super clean bathroom and best shower in Vietnam yet. The TV had Netflix and YouTube. Nothing in any of the cupboards. No point having the facilities if you cannot use them.
A stove but no pots or plates or cutlery?
A wardrobe with no coat hangers?
A kettle but no mugs?
A washing machine but no clothes hanger?
- Justine (8/5): Clean and quiet - Very modern and clean. Quiet spot as tucked down an alley.
Manager very communicative.
The balcony room is much larger standard room.
Just a $29k to $34k grab to Old Quarter
Serviced daily My room (standard) did not have power outlet in kitchen so I had boil jug in bathroom.
Even though it's an apartment there are no cups, dishes or knives and forks.
- Antti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): perfect stay - clean , new, great location. Really has it all would deffenetly come here again
- Danta (10/5): Great and comfortable stay - Comfortable serviced apartment in Hanoi, we had a nice stay here. Great location as you can see a lot of culture and local food markets just outside the apartment.
