- Dylan (10/5): Great value for money and brilliant staff - Fabulous staff and location near the Wenshu monastery. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and they also spoke good English and had great breakfast and dinner options. I've already decided to stay here when I come back to Chengdu in a few months time

The staff are amazing and friendly, they helped me book all the trains for the main attractions and moving cities. There are so many food options nearby and a nice cute town right behind the hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful in their advice and assistance; making my stay exceptionally special. Their assistance in every respect was beyond my expectation. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Even tea was available for sale. Location is brilliant for access to Wen Shu Monastery with its special paintings and calligraphy for me. Easy access to the restaurants and shops a plus indeed besides the historical pastry shop opposite the hotel. Thank you.

Note when looking for the hotel the sign faces a pedestrian lane, not the street.

- KinFai (10/5): Beautiful room, friendly personels. Best hotel. - Hotel is 1 year ago open. Everything is new. The room is very nice, comfortable. The personels are very friendly and helpful. They help us book the tickets in Jiuzhaigou and we can pay them back afterward. They also booked the tickets for opera and bring us to theater.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Home away from home - This gem is not easy to find. Despite Sophie’s detailed directions, we had a hard time finding it. Pro tip: the K exit off line 1 Wushu monastery stop does not have escalator. The station people did not offer a service elevator so we ended up taking B exit which resulted in a much longer walk to the hotel. Our room was excellent with complimentary basket of snacks and water bottles. The bathroom was extremely modern and well fitted. Washing machine is provided free of charge which was helpful. Breakfast was superb with a good selection of dim sum, stir fry dishes and western foods (e.g., bacon). Staff spoke fluent English and were extremely helpful in providing tips on where to buy things, arranging transportation etc. I frequented the palace pastry shop which was across from the hotel. Lots of restaurants abound but this hotel offers a competitive restaurant on site which we took advantage of because we were losing steam at the tail end of a long trip. If we ever return to Chengdu, we will definitely stay at Xishu again.

- ANGELA C (2/5): Be careful - I was charged twice for my room and after two weeks the refund has not been made. It is 1km from the nearest metro station. They sent me to the wrong airport and I had to pay additional costs of more than 2,900 yuan, not counting the terrible experience of having missed my international flight and traveling more than 150kms to get my final flight, which they did not pay anything for at all. Helpful staff and good quality food. I am writing to them to get a response from them and they have blocked me.

Its in a authentic area nearby Wenshu monastery, very beautiful to walk around.and there r a lot of nice restaurants as well. There is a bakery shop, which always lined up with a lot of customers. I would love to try them, but the queue is too long. Their beakfast is also good. Very tasty. I also booked my Jiuzhaigou trip with them. It is very well organised, i am very happy about it. The reception girls are all very friendly with good English skills, always very nicely to answer my questions. Very helpful hotel if u r not traveling with a guide. All in all, i would totally recommend this hotel to anyone.
