Guest Reviews
- Patrycja (10/5): -
- Guest (5/5): I wouldn't stay at this place again. sorry - breakfast was good at a pasticeria next to the building. however my stay included 3 breakfast and I have to pay of one the reception guy say he was going to be at the reception the last day at 8am and he wasn't. not only that I added a comment time of arrival from 4-5pm. I arrived at 4:30pm no one was there i had to call and email booking since no one was answering I have to wait about 30 mins, and I have to pay 6 euros per day in cash that was not listed in the confirmation and I wasn't carrying any cash. I was at night a little roach in the bathroom :(
- Pascale (3/5): - Prezzo folle per un posto letto del genere.
Un buco. 120€ una notte in una camera minuscola. Pagato molto meno altrove con comfort all’altezza.
- Guest (4/5): Erg teleurgesteld - Ontbijt - Je mag maar één croissant en één koffie of thee.
Er waren kakkerlakken in ons kamer - SMERIG!
- Arnold (10/5): Great place to stay - It is closer to everything. The staff were great. The room is clean. Need new AC
- Guest (6/5): - Colazione minima ma di buona qualità. Posizione molto comoda, ma putroppo rumorosa per traffico. Camera discreta ma tappeto pulcioso.
- cristianaV1584HZ (2/5): It's a SCAM - I do not recommend. The owner is a thief, an impostor, who refused to accommodate us even though the rooms were paid for since February. This hotel should be closed permanently. Avoid this hotel if you do not want to have a vacation
It is a SCAM.
- cristianaV1584HZ (2/5): Stay away from this place if you want to have a nice vacation. - The owner did not allow us to stay in the rooms already paid for in the Destinia account because the owner asked us for an additional payment of 45 euros/room/day for each room booked. The owner claimed that it was an error of the Destinia agency. He tried to take advantage of the fact that we arrived at 11 pm and ask us for additional money on the rooms already paid for. The owner is an imposter who refused to refund the money we had already paid. We, the 9 people (7 adults + 2 children) had to leave the reception and look for other accommodation options at midnight. From the reviews of other customers, we saw that the owner did the same with other customers, not being the first offender. The 3 rooms were paid for 2 months in advance.
We couldn't agree to the overcharging of the rooms. The owner only speaks Italian, it's hard to communicate with him. I do not recommend staying here at Gregory Place. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. Stay away from this place if you want to have a nice vacation.
- Mathew (1/5): Disappointing - There is no hotel called Gregory Place. There is no sign for the alleged hotel, just a name on the list of door buzzers, which the cafe next door pointed out to me. After waiting for over 30 minutes for the 'hotelier' to appear, my son and I were then taken to another hotel called Il Cantico close by, where we were checked in. All very curious and not recommendable. I had booked a twin room, and when we were checked into Il Cantico we were given a double bed, so consequently didn't sleep well as I had my restless 9 year old tossing and turning next to me. The room was for a disabled person in a wheelchair, so at 189cm tall, i was able to swing my legs on the WC - a novel experience! The hotel charged for parking in their own carpark, without first making it clear, when we could have parked for free on the street. A pretty soulless hotel and one I wouldn't run back to...
- olgarX9009EI (10/5): Good - Perfect place to stay if you are in a couple days in Rome. Located in a city center, very close to Vatican. The area is full of nice restaurants and bars. So you can enjoy the beauty of the city and have a comfortable night later. It was clean and not noisy. I truly recommend to stay here.
- R3476ZZmel (2/5): Worst room I've ever stayed - Horrible duty room
We're travelled a lot and never had so much disappointment. Stayed there for 4 nights.
Host is unfriendly, unhelpful and doesn't speak English. Tea and coffee provided only on the first day.
I left wet towel on the floor, so it could be change for a clean one, it didn't happened. Next day the wet towel had been hanging on the hook. I talked to the host, but he refused to give me one. Bed linen wasn't changed. Shower has mold, shower head is broken, toilet bowl covered with stains. And the cherry on the top, that " luxury " room has cockroaches.
Room furniture is very old, wobbly. No safe in the room.
Breakfast is a coffee and croissant in the coffee shop next door.
If you check-in after hours , you won't be able to get to the building, because it's an apartment block.
- patricia (10/5): - Mr. Gregory is a very nice person very polite and friendly. the place was near to the places we visited.
- Susan (6/5): - When we arrived at the site around 11 AM, it was very confusing. We were locked out of the building. Finally someone leaving let us in. Then we stood in front of the concierge desk for about 20 minutes until someone else told us to go to the 2nd floor. There was a lovely Italian woman
there but she spoke no English. She let us use the restroom in one of the rooms which we later found out was our room. We left our bags at her desk and walked around until the owner arrived around 2 pm. He pulled a sheet of paper that said we only paid for two people, not three. I showed him my Expedia confirmation that clearly said I booked for 3 persons. He refused to give us the keys to the room unless we paid an additional $100 euros. At that point we were exhausted and paid the additional money. If I had known that the room was more expensive, I would have chose another hotel to stay at that was more convenient to sites. The room itself was small but nice, the balcony was lovely. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Coffee and croissant were available at the restaurant next door each morning. I would not stay here again.
- 810regim (10/5): Just a normal, good appartment thats clean as well. - Everything you need, a good bed with a fine shower that works. And everything is clean, because they clean every day. Nothing to complain about. they also gave nice tips for the area. Only downside perhaps is the lack of english. which makes communicating hard.
