The place is nice, the staff is super polite and provide such a good service It could have been cleaner. I walked barefoot in the room and my feet literally turned gray from the dirt lol.

Logan (8/5): - The value was quite good, having stayed at a different hotel in hanoi earlier that was twice the price. That being said we could definitely feel the difference in the service we received and in the facilities as a whole. The location is great, luckily our room was on a higher floor so we hear nothing from outside on the busy street. The fridge didn't keep anything very cold and the AC worked but took a really long time to cool the room considering the size of it.

Gutes Bett, das Zimmer sauber, Zimmerservice verlässlich. An der Rezeption wenig Interesse am Gast, kaum Sprachkenntnisse englisch, an Problemlösungen nicht interessiert. Die Türen schlecht schließend und zum Teil auch in Abwesenheit offen stehend, das ganze Hotel hellhörig und sehr laut durch rücksichtslose Gäste. Die Zimmer ohne Fenster, frei liegende Kabel, eine Renovierung ist überfällig. Die "Rooftop-Bar" eine Müllhalde mit reichlich Rost und Schmutz, nicht nutzbar und ohne Personal. Die Dusche ist Teil der Toilette, demnach ist nach der Nutzung das gesamte Bad/WC überschwemmt. - Wir haben das Hotel gewechselt, mussten doppelt zahlen, da der Manager nicht zur Verfügung stand für ein Gespräch.

We got moved to another hotel 5 mins away and had to pay cash. It was ok to sleep in for the night but don’t know what our original one would have been like and got stressed out that morning I got the message about no availability so spoilt it for us

Night before flying in they changed booking to choosing a different lower class hotel we chose madelise amica... very inconvenient and likely planned if you read google reviews. Small double rooms (we had 2 doubles and a family room) we did enjoy our stay in the end after a very rocky and wrongful beginning.

We were offered an upgrade to the sister hotel which we accepted, however the room was dirty, the shower door was hanging off the wall, we only had one threadbare towel in the room, when we asked for another one, we were told it couldn’t be provided until the following day, the member of staff at reception didn’t know the WiFi code. We asked to pay for the room and transfer by card, and were told there was a 4% charge for doing so, no problem, only the man on reception forgot to add the transfer on so we ended up having to use some of our cash to pay for that and then they didn’t have any change.

Dinesh (3/5): Hotel does not care about their clients and overbooks and lies to the clients! - The reception area was nice and quaint. Was informed on arrival day that the family room I booked was not available due to damp conditions and that they will need to give us a two separate rooms. The rooms themselves were dingy and had no windows unlike the one I booked. We were away for one night and were going to return the following day but were told that they can’t guarantee that a room would be available due to overbooking. The same room type that allegedly had damp. And even though the booking was confirmed weeks before. We were advised to consider booking another hotel or to move to one of their sister hotels which we didn’t want to do instead we decided to cancel as they offered to cancel for free and found a better hotel instead. However they still tried to charge my card despite telling me that the booking was cancelled!! Highly unprofessional! Not an establishment or group of hotels I would recommend! Stay well clear!!

Dated and they definitely need to renovate. No windows in the rooms which was not disclosed on booking.com. I would’ve preferred if rooms were clear with what you were getting.

Jorrin (1/5): Serious Health Concern - Bedbugs and Lack of Responsibility - Nothing Serious Health Concern – Bedbugs and Lack of Responsibility We booked two hotel rooms, but upon entering we immediately noticed bedbugs and a large number of insects in both rooms, as well as in the hallways leading to the rooms. This is a serious hygiene and health issue. Because of this, we could not accept the rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel staff did not acknowledge the problem and showed no willingness to think along or find a real solution. The only option offered was another room, which had the exact same problem. No effort was made to inspect the rooms, address the issue, or take any preventive action for upcoming guests. The situation was clearly not taken seriously, and no action was undertaken. The reception staff was not empathetic, did not listen to our concerns, and refused to cooperate. There was no manager available, and we were not allowed to speak to one or have one contacted. We paid in cash, and no refund was provided, despite the fact that we did not stay at the hotel due to the conditions. Additionally, the hotel advertises a spa and breakfast, but neither of these facilities were available, which is misleading. We have now reported this issue to Booking.com and hope they will assist us in finding a solution. We are writing this review to protect the health and safety of other travelers, as bedbugs pose a serious risk and should never be ignored. This experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. We strongly urge future guests to be cautious.

Cass (7/5): great location - We had a family room with balcony and it was perfect, we loved sitting out on the balcony first thing in the morning and at the end of the day. The room was big and comfortable for our family of 4. It was a great location and the staff was super friendly and nice. Sadly the roof top restaurant area was closed, under renovation they said. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could adjust morning plans And although there was a book in the room that held all the information for the hotel, none of it was accurate, for example we could not use our safe, the information book said the instruction would be on the safe and they were not. We did call down twice which each time someone was suppose to come up and help but no one ever did. However none of these things would prevent us from staying there again. It was a beautiful property and amazing staff

They upgraded me upon arrival, even though I had just booked hours before because another hotel gad scammed me. They were very friendly, always helpful and gave good recommendations. The hotel itself is nice, the room is worth the price for Hanoi price level. Location is directly in the old quarter, so you are within walking distance e.g. to the water puppet theater. The bathroom has gotten a bit old and could be kn better shape and the room is out to the street, so I slept with ear plugs.

Si (2/5): Believe that there will be better hotel options - 1. The soundproofing is terrible. When faced with neighbors shouting in the middle of the night or the never-ending sound of motorcycle horns, it becomes pure torture. 2. Although the name includes "SPA," when asking about related services, the staff outright refused by saying their SPA prices are very high. 3. Tried asking the staff for assistance. The only help offered was, "If you don't like it, you can get a refund, but please find another place to stay." 4. We ended up switching to three different rooms, and in each one, the bathroom door required you to slam your entire body against it just to get it to close. One of the rooms even had a damp, sewer-like smell. 5. The ratings on Booking are fabricated. If you give a perfect score, they'll offer you a trivial and unremarkable discount.
